Ah, the good old days, when the chiefs were 2-11 and the falcons could win 34-0
Yep that was before Andy Reid became the Chiefs head coach and reinvigorated the culture in Kansas City
lmaooooo KC was a poverty franchise before Andy came
@@captainnutsack8151 frrrrrr
Lmao I did not even know anything about the chiefs till mahomes got drafted lol
Get used to it boys another 12 years of Mahomes and the Steelers in the toilet for the next 10 years
“here’s a taste of the playoffs” awkward moment when both of them missed the playoffs that year
Lol
I understand the Cowboys missing but the Steelers missed too. PS Fuck the cowboys I don’t know why I chose to be a fan of that shit organization
@@Behtrs this persons onto something
@@Phantompurge5851 With fans like this, who needs haters? You don’t have to keep being a fan BTW. It’s not a cult.
That sounds like Romo's eventual broadcast partner doing the play-by-play.
Yes it is
It’s so weird hearing Jim Nantz call a game with Tony Romo as the quarterback. 😂
Steelers and Cowboys is a forgotten rivalry by most fans today, but is still alive and well. It is a rivalry built from SB matchups from the past.
Still remember this game like yesterday. Miss Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, and Demacro Murray
Shame they never went to a Super Bowl, choked in the playoffs Jerry the cancer Jones wasted their potential.
Don’t forget prime Dan Bailey man
@@MrTonyromo5oo I love Dan Bailey but I’ll never forget him getting the successful onside kick and then missing the ensuing field goal 🤦🏽 against the ravens this same year
You can't miss watching that team they were legends.
@@jayfill7466 yes the are not legends but the Put on a show every night. you know what I mean, They were fun to watch
Crazy 3-week stretch for the Cowboys that year
The week before, they beat the Bengals on a last-second field goal following the tragic death of Jerry Brown.
Then, they win this game in OT.
The week after, they lose to the Saints in OT.
Three straight games coming down to the last play
That whole season was crazy, that was also the year a tiny part of Dez Bryant's pinky was out of bounds on the review to take away the game winning td at the end of the game. So they lost to giants. Bailey also missed a game winning field goal against ravens. Which was 1 of only 2 field goals he missed the entire season. And the corner dropped an int in the 4th quarter against Falcons. So Falcons sucked clock down on that drive, kicked a field goal to go up by 6 and only allowed maybe 15 seconds left on the clock.
Plus the fact that everyone on offense besides Romo got injured that first half of the season. (Witten had a torn spleen but still played and dropped alot) Dez was not injured but was going through a lawsuit with his mom the first 8 games and he was running wrong routes, catching then popping up balls. He had to have caused about 8+ ints alone. Then when the offense got healthy, and Dez mom dropped the lawsuit after week 8, the offense took off. But the entire defense went down with injuries, Ware kept playing though but was playing with only 1 arm as the other arm was covered, weak and useless. And they allowed 30 points per game those last 6 weeks as a result.
And even then, they still had a shot for playoffs and Romo ends up breaking multiple ribs right before the final game, and he was struggling to throw properly.
@@thecensoredmuscle563 yup it was a crazy season for the boys that year

I remember complaing about the 2012 NFL. I miss it now.
I miss 2011 nfl
Such a great season especially week 15😭
I miss tony romo
This game was a classic.
Not as good as 2008
2011-2013 the three year stretch where the Cowboys had chances to make the playoffs but choked in the final weeks of the season.
They fell into the 8-8 curse like the Titans fell into the 9-7 curse. Lol
2011, yes, but in 2012 and 2013, it was a miracle Dallas even had a chance those years. Started 3-5 in 2012, had a historically bad defense in 2013, yet Romo dragged both of those teams to the doorstep of the playoffs. 2012 losing to Washington in week 17 hurt...of course that was RGIII’s one dominant year in the NFL haha...the 2013 week 17 loss hurt less because it was Kyle Orton starting after Romo got hurt the week before. Dallas had no chance in the playoffs without Romo anyways, so it was just as well that they were put out of their misery.
3 year stretch of unfortunate events more like it. Yes they had trash olines, trash run games, and trash defenses, but they still had to face alot of unfortunate events just to miss playoffs.
In 2011 two weeks in a row Garrett iced his own kicker who made the first kick on the game winning field goal, and the kicker missed or got blocked on the second attempt after rekicking became of Garrett's last split second timeouts. Then in week 16 Romo in the first series of the game gets drilled after he threw it, in slow motion it shows that his hand was forward and the defensive player drilled his helmet into Romos hand swining forward. So Romo had to miss the rest of the game and Cowboys of course lost without Romo. Then he had to play week 17 with a throwing hand the size of a softball.
Then 2012, one week a little tiny part of Dez Bryant's pinky was out of bounds on the review to take away the game winning td at the end of the game against giants. Bailey missed 1 of the only 2 field goals he missed all season on the game winning field goal against ravens. Then Claiborne dropped an interception in the 4th quarter against Falcons. So Falcons sucked clock down on that drive, kicked a field goal to go up by 6 and only allowed maybe 15 seconds left on the clock.
Everyone on offense besides Romo got injured that first half of the season. (Witten had a torn spleen but still played and dropped alot) Dez was not injured but was going through a lawsuit with his mom the first 8 games and he was running wrong routes, catching then popping up balls. He had to have caused about 8+ ints alone. Then when the offense got healthy, and Dez mom dropped the lawsuit after week 8, the offense became amazing. But then the entire defense went down with injuries, Ware at least kept playing but had to play with only 1 arm as the other arm was covered, weak and useless. And they allowed 30 points per game those last 6 weeks as a result. And still had a shot for playoffs and Romo ends up breaking multiple ribs right before the final game, and he was struggling to throw properly.
Then 2013, can be explained simply, third worse defense in nfl history, (plus trash olines and trash run games like the previous years). Lost in shootouts against backup qbs who were throwing 300 yards 4 tds against the defense. Lost in a 99 point shootout with Peyton. And still had a chance to make playoffs but Romo had to get back surgery after an insanely clutch win he got in week 16. So he could not play week 17 and cowboys of course lost.
That play at 5:50 pretty much sums up Roethlisberger as a QB. Coming up clutch in key moments, gritty, huge inside the pocket, awareness, and not afraid to take the hit. This game was a true classic!!
And that bomb to Wallace was like 65 air yards. Ben had a cannon back then
It feels so good to see Troy Polamalu play in a BIG game again
One of the very rare but really fun QB matchups that I wish could have gotten more of. Roethlisberger and Romo have a similar play style of ad-libbing and making something out of nothing despite being pocket passers but they each have such a distinct way of doing it. Romo was always a finesse guy that could shake guys out of their socks while Roethlisberger was impossible to bring down.
It's a shame that neither of these guys managed to make the playoffs that season. A really back-breaking loss for Pittsburgh as they'd end up finishing 8-8 and missing out via a tiebreaker. Dallas would end up 8-8 as well, but their heartbreak wouldn't come until week 17 in Washington.
Dallas actually had back to back heartbreaking losses. First was a near-comeback against the Saints that ended up going to OT, and ending in a loss. To this day I still feel like that loss demoralized them right as they were going on the road against Washington for the deciding game in the division. Romo made uncharacteristic mistakes in that game, he was on fire in the second half of 2012.
@@tommyl.dayandtherunaways820 Romo was playing with broken ribs that week 17 against Washington. That's why he was making those mistakes, his throwing motion was off, and passes cut short. Romo was way too injured to be playing that game. 2011 week 17 was the same but with a crushed throwing hand. Wish he didn't play those games severely injured, because people used those games to push that fake choke narrative.
Miss the early 2010 nfl days
The Steelers’ core was beginning to fade in 2012. Mike Wallace held out, The Defense got older and slower and the team was starting to transition to the Next Era with Ben leading the way. The Steelers finished 8-8 back to back years.
Jim Nantz has one of the most iconic voices in sports history, his play by play is unmatched. his ability to call multiple sports with this level of energy, and enthusiasm. All the homies love Nantz❤
Romo was a beast!

Lol the redskins at first in there division man I miss when the redskins where good
Washington Football Team*
@@oxytocin1719 you can refer to them as the Redskins if you talk about the teams before 2020. It's good that the name changed, it's an outdated name, however in 2012 they were the 2012 Redskins. Not the 2012 Football Team. Lol
WOAH WOAH WOAH it’s the Washington football team

Tony Romo was so good
Wait two games in one day= NFL Throwback loving to show cowboy and steeler games
Romo is the best Cowboy ever!
Best cowboys game I’ve been to so far!
Tony Romo is still the Greatest Cowboys QB in Dallas History. Fuck what the Haters say. Miss watching him play and also DeMarco Murray Dez Bryant Miles Austin
Tony Romo was nowhere near Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman level.
One of the my best times as a Cowboys fan..
That was a classic game 👊🏾💯🏈
Looking back on this reminds me how talent poor the Cowboys were back then on the OLINE and defense smh
Do Steve Young and Kurt Warner highlights
I’ll keep asking tell they happen
Great video
Week 15 of 2012 was legendary
i enjoyed watching this 👌👌
Timmons was such a good player man.
Look at that defense !
Hell of a game I needed my fix ,cowboys, it's time , come on man , you can do it, dak
I miss the 2012 nfl
The two always have great games! Too bad that won’t be the case this Sunday..
You should post the game from 2016! That game sucked being a Steelers fan but was definitely one of the best games I’ve ever watched
Here you go
ua-cam.com/video/bK4vn07W1lk/v-deo.html
Was that the game where steelers decided to not cover receivers most of the game? Lol
I remember this being an insanely important game for both teams just like Nantz said. However, neither team did make the post season
last two times they played have been awesome games. Probably not this week though lol
turned out to be a good game
Offensive lineman Tyron Smith #77 for the Dallas Cowboys, didnt allow one defender get passed him. It's crazy he is still playing, and and at pretty much the same level of awesomeness.
That title needs pause after it 😂
Back when 4th and 1 was a punt, the good old days
Dez Bryant-Cowboys now with the Ravens and Antonio Brown-Steelers now the Buccaneers used to play this game on both teams in the battle of storied Franchises now they played different teams on Sunday
Big Ben's pump fakes are ridiculous.
Is Sean Lee playing?
Nobody better at the pump fake and scramble than Big Ben.
Overtime games are the best
I was 35 when I watched that game: I was 55 when it was over.
Who misses the of NFL?
Bone crushing tackles
Wow 5:50 might be Ben's best play ever
Tony Romo, for all his faults, was very under appreciated and just imagine for a moment him in his prime playing with the Cowboys defense of the 2020s….
I really wanna see 2018 saints vs cowboys full game lmao
That was about as boring as the 2018 super bowl was. Basically a game where cowboys defense was great and cowboys offense was horrible.
this was when the Steelers D was too old to be on the field. Sad times
I forgot how good the Falcons were that year.
That move by Murray at 3:09 to Troy Polamalu is just disrespectful.
Do you reply if we’re early
Yes!
Defense was shit in 2012. Ranked 24th. 2010’s Cowboys’ defense, 2010: 31st, 2011: 16th, 2013: 26th, 2014: 15th, 2015: 16th
Romo never really had a good defense
@@yeelicious-6232 Only 2009, ranked 2nd. 2009 is probably the biggest choke. Romo QB rec was 6-4 while Bledsoe’s Qb rec was 3-3. I forgot, did Romo get hurt or something
And this year's defense is bad
@@christianramirez9303 What? Bledsoe retired after the 2006 season. He wasn't even on the team in 2009. Romo started every game in 2009 and they went 11-5 and won the division. They won their Wildcard game and lost to Minnesota in the Divisional round. Not sure what you mean by 2009 being a "choke"?
@@thegorn68 Sorry I confused 2006 for 2009, man I should really put my glasses on
Was Sean Lee playing?
No, everyone and their mom was injured on defense at this point. Ware was still playing but was playing with just 1 arm, the other was useless and weak because of an injury.
“Throwback to when the Cowboys had a defense “
17-19, 21 are the best defenses cowboys had since about 2004.
why this title
lets go cowboys
Meanwhile, this year's game of Steelers vs Cowboys is gonna be a clean sweep.
One would like to think
And modern Dallas fans have the nerve to say Dak has bad defenses. No Romo did
I was at this game

Romos first half of his career they were even better than this. Eagles, giants and redskins were top 10 most of the time, those 3 were even top 5 defenses one year. 07 was about as close as it gets to getting 4 teams from a division in the playoffs.

2016 was the better game
How bout them cowboys
Should’ve posted the 2008 game instead 😭
Stay tuned!
@Ryan Irwin- Diehl Can’t believe we lost that still salty😂
These Romo games used to give me heart attacks. I hated Tony with a passion. I never liked the Cowboys.
we have steelers then vikings rip
Romo will do this to you occasionally he would put on one of those games when you were like wow he's real clutch , and then there's those other times but let's put them aside .
what's a good game it was
Far more often then not he was a damn good qb capable of these games. Best 4th quarter qb rating of all time most 4th quarter comebacks in his tenure and retired with the 8th best td:int ratio and the 4th best passer rating of all time. Those are just occasionally good games
Always awesome to see Big Ben throw an interception
Ben almost throws a pick 6 to lose the game but I'm sure that, just like Brady, nobody ever called him out for that just like nobody ever calls him out for his mistakes.. Because just like Brady, when they screw up, it's always swept under the rug and we're reminded of how HOF they are 🙄🙄
You say that as if They're never criticized for Games like that when they are lol, After the Week 1 loss to the Saints People were constantly bringing up how Many Pick 6's Brady had thrown in his last 3 games and that he was "Washed up" so I dunno what rock you've been living under for the last decade or so.
@@chandlersbryant4047 yeah and these were morons who were being extreme as usual.. I don't want extreme analysis done on Brady, meaning praise him when he's good and completely shit on him when he's bad no that's not realistic I just wish people would analyze ready for what he truly is, an average QB with high IQ who has had a lot of success.. THAT'S IT! I hate this narrative that you have to call him washed up whenever he has a bad game or 2 because that just means that he is seen as so good that he is above making mistakes, so when he turns it around, everyone is like "omg brady we're so sorry for doubting you.. please forgive us" 🙄 it's getting annoying.. regardless of what they were saying after week 1, or even now currently, for every 10 people who criticize him, there's 200 people waiting to defend him and create the Pro Brady narrative.. So yeah, what you heard, was the tip of the iceberg, not the real narrative brewing underneath..
Pause
Demarco Murray low key better than Ezekiel Elliott
That Antonio Brown guy has some potential but seems like a bit of a bonehead. Wonder whatever happened to him
Antonio Brown list Steelers the game
I miss tony Romo he was way better then Dak prescott go cowboys
