Tony Romo that game said "who needs a lung" and still kept playing. What a beast.
Best choker ever
Romo had a Lotta Warrior and Mental Toughness in His Playing Career
@@TylerG60keep hating hater 🤡
"I got 2"
We need a game winning drive?
Hold my lung……🫁
-Tony Romo
My high school English teacher was a die hard Cowboys fan. I remember him sharing with some of his students that he went to this game at candlestick park. He was such a kind and funny man. May he rest in peace. 🙏
Ahhh yes, this one. Remember seeing it a bar in SF, and feeling pretty dejected after the 49ers lost. It was Harb's first year, and I was excited, but didn't expect the huge turnaround they had. 49ers would win 8 straight after this, and finish 13-3. Great season despite coming up short.
I love reading comments like this, im barely getting into football so just learning more about it is awesome
sheesh. Patrick willis and navarro bowman to fred warner and dre greenlaw. That's amazingly nasty.
I remember this 😂 I’m sure Holley was on a reality tv show to get on a nfl roster and he did. Crazy times flies 🟣🟡
Yes he was lol. He was the winner of Michael Irvin’s football reality show.
Disney couldnt write a better script lol
This is one of the only rare few times cowboy fans were able to takeover Candlestick. They still have yet to do so at Levi’s
What a game Tony Romo played Go Cowboys 💪💯
I still remember this game so well like yesterday. Romo was warrior in this game after that broken lung and hero in this game was Jesse Holley
A tale of two storied franchises!
Not only did he make the catch, he made it at a crucial time in the game.
miles austin gave his body for the cowboys
After last nights humiliation…I think I speak for most Cowboys fan when I say, I miss Tony Romo. Dude was a warrior and so underrated. We could use his big play making ability in 2023. We miss you Romo 🥹😭😭
Certainly do!!!
Facts. The guy was a big play maker. Even when the odds were stacked against him
Dallas Cowboys Greatest Team Of The Early 90s Against San Francisco 49ers Greatest Team Of The 80s Thanks For Uploading
That is so true.
*Fun fact:* The 49ers have not had a regular season home win against the Cowboys since 1997
And so many casuals are clowning The Boys because of recent time against San Francisco.
@@sickeningmisfit9898I mean yall lose when it matter the most 🤷🏽♂️
@@robertgwynn7466 There’s always winners and losers at the end. The jokes on you clowning a team that always makes the playoffs. Also. I’m not a Dallas fan.
@@sickeningmisfit9898 lmao what are you talking about? When it matters most which is the playoffs the 49ers have a mental edge over Dallas.
That changed today
Romo's resilience and leadership was unquestionable. Yet the other hero in this game was Miles Austin, for sure. 💪🔥
And there's a pass deep into the endzone by Alex Smith, and that will be a touchdown. And so that'll make it a 14-0 ballgame
If there was any clear weakness on this 49ers defense, it was the secondary.
Romo with broken ribs and a punctured lungs leads a comeback against a championship caliber team. Underrated
they were not a championship caliber team at this point in the season, the Niners had no real identity or momentum until they won against Philly
@@MackDonaldo They were a championship caliber team. Stop with the excuses. They had all the pieces in the world just like they usually do.
@@RebornKingz usually do? At this point, the team was complete ass, filled with nobodies save for a few key players since '05. They were coming out of a losing season with a bunch of unknowns. Everyone was tired of Alex Smith at this point and we had no real receivers other than Crabtree. This team didn't have "all the pieces in the world" when they were kicking field goals all the time. Stop it.
@@MackDonaldo You and me got a different memory because they had a solid roster. The only thing I agree with you is Alex Smith being almost shipped out for someone else because they thought he was a bust compared to Aaron Rodgers someone who wanted to be a 49er. Once Alex smith got someone who actually gave a damn about how he wanted to run a offense that’s when everything changed. They relied more on their run game and defense which is what they should have been doing.
@@RebornKingzas a 9er fan you’re so right
What a game!
Finally they put up a game where Dallas wins
Facts every cowboys game they upload always been ends up being a loss 😭😭😭
@@YoungChuy2398 Because people love those games for some reason, wonder why. 🙂
Cause the cowgirls suck ass, everybody hates them
A throwback game in which we won? I can’t believe it
Insane how much more physical it was just 10 years ago
Damn dude I forgot how much of a dog Miles Austin was for Dallas. Dude was an absolute beast out of nowhere before Dez came along.
Yep one of the few Cowboys players I had respect for.
3:41 The only good play Kyle Williams made as a 49er
This is going to be game of the week for week 5!
Nah SF will beat little brother Dallas as always..the only suspense will be can they cover the spread.
@@TheAoalec14 I do see the 49ers beating the Cowboys, but overall, I think this is game of the week.
I mean to be honest every time they play, it’s a pretty close game
Delanie Walker..we will forever be grateful in Tennessee..
Whats funny is Miles Austin would return to SF 7 years later as a assistant coach for us under Kyle Shanahan
That 49ers team was loaded
Jesse Holly was the guy that they signed off of the TV show I forgot the name of it though?!.
4th and long
I'd forgotten the Jesse Holley game and the Punctured Lung Game were the same game
12 years old holy shii felt like yesterday
Miles Austin was a dawg
In the end, the Cowboys lose to the Giants in Week 17 and miss the playoffs while the 49ers go all the way to the NFC Championship Game and lose to the Giants in overtime
If the Cowboys made the playoffs, we all know the rest of what what happen to them.
@@LiamDeegeSame with the 49ers lol
@@PastLifeVillian Except the 49ers would make the conference championship and lose or make it to the Super Bowl and fall there.
Romo was different
I was there. On the anniversary of the catch too. How sweet it was.
And Nick Castellanos makes it a 4-0 ball game
Best cowboy QB
I remember watching this game and I was really irritated that we lost because of course it's the Dallas cowboys I can't stand them but I respect them and second we know that the rest of the week they're going to talk about how Tony Romo is it true warrior how he got hurt and they came back and won the game.. but what I think it's more interesting what happened after this game that the 49ers ended up having a seven to eight in winning streak, this was first year head coach Jim Harbaugh who helped us give us our first winning season since back in 2002 I believe and during the 2002 to 2010 the 49ers weren't just a bad team they were horrible, so much so that they set records especially on offense where no offense wants to have a record to have like the lowest yardage the lowest touchdowns and through more pics and have more turnovers than any other offense.. so that's why the 2011 season will always be special one for me because I used to work at a factory where everybody gave me a hard time about how the 49ers were awful and they stuck by them no matter what. But with the Dallas cowboys after this game I think they finished eight and eight I'm not sure but we also had that classic NFC divisional game against the New Orleans saints that Vernon Davis did the catch 2.. to this day I truly believe that if Kyle Williams didn't fumble one of those two turnovers in the NFC championship against the New York Giants that we would have won that game...
Dallas Cowboys owned candlestick 😂🔥👊🤠🤣 #cowboysnation
I don’t even remember this game, good thing 😂😂😂
love your videos nfl throwback is there any way you can post a vikings game
Jesse Holley was on Micheal Irvin reailty TV competition 4th and Long were he won a roster spot to be on the cowboys 🤠
man sad how underrated tony romo was
Romo did all that to bring the tape back and yet it was in vain. The Cowboys from 2011 to 2013 needed ONE WIN to win the division at 9-7 and had so so many games they choked in the last 5 minutes. 3 times they had ONE GAME to win at the end of the season to win the division and make the playoffs and THREE TIMES they lost the final game.
Romo couldn’t do it all. He was all they had. He kept Dallas relevant during that time
@@MetalKillsRap2 that's what almost everyone misses. The guy was the sole reason we were relevant all those years
Romo doesn't play defense... most of his loses came down to the final drive .. that's the defense fault
Dumb decision by Harbaugh with 11 minutes to go. Should have taken the penalty and the ball at the 22 yard line instead of the 3 points. At worst, you run the ball three times and take two minutes off the clock. At best, you score a TD to go up two touchdowns. Analytics weren't as prevalent back then, but this was not a hindsight move. It was a bad move at the time.
Harbaugh sometimes made these decisions
I dunno. OL was getting run over and O wasnt totally in rhythm. I think your take the lead and trust your D at home.
I don’t know what the hell he was thinking
Spoiler alert
Cowboys go 8-8 even though they beat a 13-3 team
I love Dallas cowboys and San Francisco 49ers 🏈🏟🤍💙🤍💙❤️🤍❤️🤍
Forgot how good tony romo actually was, man was a legend(for half a game).
If ever there was such a thing …I’d say at worst he’s probably the 🐐 amongst middle-pack QBs
Dude was underrated, idk why so many people hated his ass 😭poor dude. I always liked him growing up despite him being a cowboy.
@@jovany.h_1998He was part brilliant!! Part bonehead when it game to his play.
He's still a choker though.
No he was a legend for all games. The dude is underrated for what he did with inferior rosters against stiff competition
You mean the “Romo Punctured Lung and Broken Ribs Game”
There's one hero in this game. His name is Tony Romo
I was at this game it was a hot ass day Romo got hurt kitna was playing like shit Romo returns and turned the game around with Mr.4th and long saved the day by burning the DBs O.T. and Dan Bailey with the game winner it was great
I Like This Amazing Video 📸 NFL Throwback Keep Up The Good Work
The player that made the overtime catch-and-run, Jesse Holley, was on Spike TV’s 4th and Long and won the whole thing.
Great memory!
Still remember needing this parlay to win when I first did sports bets before I took a few years off lmao
Did it hit? 😂
I remember this game. Doug "huggy bear" free got away with so much holding 😅
Romo > Dak
Can you do preseason throwback highlights?
I thought San Francisco was going to win that game 12 years ago guess not
Two 49ers throwback games shown this season.
Two 49ers losses.
Starting to feel some type of way...👀❤️💛
So that was a catch way before Dez? 🤷🏾♂️🤔🤨
I have flashbacks of Greg Roman's horrid offense that consisted of no screens or sight adjustments on their hot routes. Unggghhh...
6:17
Romo was the better QB, but Dak is a better player.😊
How is Dak a better player than Romo?
Come on Dallas beat those 49ers in 2023!
Niners weren’t as good yet it was early in the year in Hsrbaughs first year. If they played later in the year Cowboys would’ve gotten blown out.
I hope they show this game at practice on Friday….. Never give up!! Embrace adversity!!!!! 69ers are overrated!!!
The cowgirls love QB’s who shrink in the postseason lol
Yep and they apparently love drafting them too. 😅
What an asinine take. One QB played through a much tougher NFC and NFC East conference with a worse supporting cast and coaching. The other (Dak )is actually a choker.
Thom brennaman is the absolute worst
