Found your channel when I was looking up Wraith Guild stuff. Have been going through your backlog, and was happy that there were clan videos. Finally reached my favorite clan, I like the Ventrue because I love their aesthetic, noblesse oblige , rarified tastes, the arrogant attempt to hold Kindred society together despite being super out of touch with it. They also represent in my opinion the stereotype of what a modern vampire is. Modern being the keyword, less overtly monsterous, and more wishing to blend in while controlling everything. They have the beauty like the Toreador, but they aren't as completely obsessed with it and distracted like they are. The lords of the night, hidden monsters playing political games, everybody hates them, but still always come to them when they have problems they can't fix themselves. I have a special soft spot for Ventrue because one of my longest running larp characters was a Ventrue ghoul. Me and 2 other friends played ghouls for a high ranking Ventrue PC. You really understand why the Ventrue are the movers and the shakers when you come in as a ghoul and non-ventrue vampires don't ignore you, they worry about messing with you might bring down an entire clan on them. Sure they still treat you as ghouls but when a Ventrue comes rolling in with 3 PC ghouls all of whom are recognized in court with status. Helps that each of us were very specialized and were terrifyingly competent in our areas of expertise.
Amazing work on the blue bloods, some of the points that you've told here must be overlooked when looking at this clan! And the clan political structure is really well explained here, this makes me think if ventrue kindred have to play a role like Toreadors use their masks within their clan, I can imagine how Venteue kindred need to play their part while while having to pose the role of loyal and proud clan member that only wants the better for the clan to their elders while plotting one day to take their place in the higher places of their clan. It really gives an interesting similarity to the Lasombra, both clans are derived by acquiring personal power and their biggest goal, power within their clan. Once again, amazing video! To me, A lictor seems like a prime position to strive for given within Ventrue society, at this position you sort out the problems, plug the leaks and amend the mistakes of the higher-ups or the cockups of the lower-rung. but in return for this selfless work you can have as much control as you have flexibility left to adapt to the interests of any rivals within the Camarilla, the anarch pests and the Sabbat mongrels. not high enough on the roster to become a stagnant unmoving prime target, but also far removed from being an expendable neonate. iron sharpens iron, and the dance of this secret war will keep you fresh and strong.
You do not always have to a King or Emperor, Princes, keep in mind how many rulers have perished at the hands of their own children, usually by a dagger or poison, if you really want to be the ruler of something become the sovereign of your own life or unlife in our case, bow to no one, not even your sire, but know when to fall back or deny your pride its deepest desire, but if one must settle for a title I am happy to be simply a Baron,

So a question, and mind you probably a poor question, but how would a Ventrue in the Anarchs act as opposed to the Camarilla/Sabbat versions? Anarchs don't strike me as the "Put Up With Pomp and Circumstance" types, so a Blue Blood might have a horrible time
No no, that's quite a good question actually. They are similar to Camarilla variants, but much smaller scales, and debatably more human. Younger Ventrue may think the old age based system is, well, old, and not fit for the modern world. The Anarchist Movement, despite the name, may favor more "mortal" methods of government, so an Anarchist city might just as well try to turn into a Democracy.
