I'm sorry this is late. But to be healthy you're supposed to have a 0. Yes a 0. Having a 3 means there's very very little calcification. But that means there is buildup even if its small.

Hello Dr. Berg. Thank you for more information about this area. What about vitamin C, since it causes the blood passage ways to become stronger and healthier thus less prone for the arteries to have tears?
the arteries don't have tears or you'd be dead. they start out with intima damage then the body sends out white blood cell components and ldl cholesterol. that's why Dr. berg want to lower insulin. to prevent arterial damage before it happens
You recommend many different tests in different videos. If you can compile a list of tests that a person should go for once every year or whatever is your recommendation..thanks for great content as usual.
Dr Berg, why would you want to de-calcify the arteries? It is the calcium on the unstable plaque that prevents it from moving downstream and clotting off the artery blocking the blood flow and causing a heart attack, stroke or lack of blood supply to other parts of the body. This is confusing.
I guess magnesium bisglycinate or glycinate is good. Magnesium citrate laxatives a bit resulting loose stools. Magnesium oxide is highly laxatives and usually used by doctors before any kind of colonoscopy or operation etc. This kind of magnesium has no value to use except doctors use. Magnesium chloride is for rubbing on the skin so that magnesium can go into our body and this has to be diluted. I bought one bottle and found that l have to dilute 1 to 19 part of distilled water per instruction. If it is not, then it is quite corrosive. I guess these are the types of magnesium l can find in the market. Maybe Dr can advise further.
In another video Dr. Berg talks about Magnesium L Threonate being the best kind to take for brain health. It affects the nuerotransmitters in the brain. But if you can't afford it Magnesium Glycinate is the next best. And I agree 100% with the other commenter that oxide is completely useless. Your body is only able to use 4% of it and it is a laxative: can confirm as I've been using this kind for the last year because I didn't know otherwise.
I'm pretty sure that if you eat a couple ladders a year you will get a good supply of magnesium I think you just got to put them in a good food processor as for some of the wrongs are thicker than others no but seriously foods that have magnesium I really think pumpkin seeds are really high in magnesium and I also have a question about Epsom salts which the bag that I was reading says you can take it internally and it is magnesium but I wonder at the quality and the availability of nutrients from such an inexpensive product
@@IMissMrKitty you know I have a question about laxative and magnesium and I was wondering is Epsom salt which is supposedly magnesium and it does tell you you can ingest it but is that an acceptable form of magnesium actually you know Epsom salt it just sounds like it's too cheap to be effective but
I’ve been doing Keto for about 2 1/2 years . I just had the calcium score test and it scored me at 2300 that’s crazy! I don’t have a pre keto score so I have nothing to compare it to. Just started taking K2 / D3
Hi Nicholas, it appears you eat healthy as I also make the effort to, and I am questioning how indicative the CAC. score and cholesterol levels are of vessel health. Seems something else comes into play here. Thanks for sharing as it makes me less stressed (not indifferent) about my score. I am 76, are you comfortable sharing your age? May we all focus on living in health and not worrying, but being aware and doing our best. It really is up to us individually. I feel the doctors care less and less, especially if one is over 50. Let us appreciate practitioners like Dr. Berg who research and share, and benefit from what we learn.
Is there any danger of destabilizing the plaque by removing the calcium that holds the cholesterol together? The theory here is that firm calcified plaque is less dangerous than soft ‘hot’ plaque. Thanks, I really learn a lot from your videos.
that's a very good question but it doesn't work in that way. it doesn't just get in your arteries and start chipping away at the arteries. it would turn calcified plaque to soft plaque again
Thank you Dr. Berg for this info. My question: Could the use of IP6 create a deficiency of iron, calcium and magnesium in the body to the extent that it creates a problem? I do take lipase as my pancreas is not active. Could the use of IP6 interfere with the lipase?
I had a calcium deposit in my eye discovered in a route eye examination and was sent off to various specialists who warned that it may blind me if it travelled any farther along the artery as it narrowed. The senior specialist eventually determined that it was a calcification lump embedded in the artery wall, it could not be removed, and it would not disappear, but provided it didn't move, I would be OK. Twelve months later the same routine examination showed it had mysteriously disappeared. That was five years ago and it hasn't reappeared. BUT THE POINT IS, here in the UK, I was then just told to go home and think myself lucky without anyone suggesting I might do something myself to avoid or at least minimise any further calcification. Which is so bad. and why your videos are so enlightening. I shall adjust my diet accordingly, although being on warfarin for life, and statins (not for much longer!) it will be somewhat complicated.
Tax payers money put to poor use as usual on the incompetent allopaths. Sorry you are forced to buy into that. I seriously doubt you need to be on Warfarin for life. You have other options, I would look into it. But, maybe there are things I don't know. Just throwing that out there. Look up options for blood clot prevention or natural or nutritional blood thinning ... it's been a while but i think there is an approach using niacin and grapefruit actually helps with this... the niacin may help prevent dementia ... look into using Vitamin C as well... you might benefit from taking at least 6 grams of C per day in supplement form and of course get as much as you can from food sources... broccoli is a surprisingly good source
Dr Berg you are kneed a life saver! I had arterial calcification at Level 5 & started the unclog protocol, within a couple of weeks it's down to Level 2. I now take 2,000iu VitD3 + K2, drink zgreen tea with Cacao beverage. I feel like a new woman - will continue with the protocol until the clogging is completely cleared up to Level Zero! Thank you so much Dr Eric Berg. God put u on this earth to prolong our lives. Blessings to you & family. A grateful fan!
Hi Esther, congrats on unclogging the arteries.. is there a calcium score range for level 5.. can you also please share how much k2? is it 100microgram?
I just had my first CAC test at 47 years old today. Score came back at 4. Left anterior descending is 4. Rest of them are 0. Will try and implement and do whatever is needed to get this to 0. I have been on keto off and on for the last 3 years and my heart health has been improving each year. My guess is this score was higher 3 years ago and has lowered, but no idea. Will get tested each year going forward until score is 0.
Doctor, I told this important news on Vitamins K2 and D3 to my friends. They were so shocked as I was and some of my friends are really learning this and changing diets. Thank you so much!
Very timely video, for me... I was diagnosed with having a couple of heavily calcified arteries... I already take a myriad of supplements, including K2 and D3, Vitamin E, PPQ, Fish Oil, Vitamin C (Complete)... and the list goes on... Oh! I also take Serrapeptase and Natokinase, two potent artery cleansers... However, I don't know if I am getting enough Phytic Acid... I'm going to look into I-P6... That may be key to resolving my issue... Thanks :-)
How do you take the supplements K2, D3, Magnesium, and IP6? Do you take them all at the same time together or do you take the supplement separately at different times throughout the day? Thanks so much.
Doctor I know you don't know me from adam but can I say I appreciate you giving the illustration... When you realize what the body does to heal itself and the signals it sends...thanks!!!❤
Please elaborate on specific dosages of the 4 supplements you describe in this video - Thanks Eric & Karen for all of the good stuff ya'll bring to us!

Hi There, Calcium in the artery is there for a reason (protection of rupture) wouldn't it be better to go after the plaque first? Love your channel BTW, keep up the great work!
I was thinking the same but I think he's addressing the people whole don't have established heart disease. I am a cvicu nurse and you are correct. our body calcifies the plaque to stabilize it. However some people can prematurely calcify their arteries causing them to be hard and non compliant
I did have a CAC test done just over a year ago. It indicated a very low calcium level. All I did was ask my doctor what other testing there is that could indicate whether I have a problem with my heart. He suggested the CAC test. It doesn't take very long at all maybe 15minutes. You'll spend more time in the waiting room. My insurance didn't cover it, but it only cost $50.00. If you have a high calcium score, then the doctor may make other suggestions. Very easy test to verify your risk. I've been telling my friends about doing it.
@@coffeeblogger7441 Okay...this is the second time I've tried to respond. Hopefully it works this time. The test is very simple. (I am only responding as a patient). I really have no medical training. I can only tell you what I experienced. The cost to me was $50 dollars, US. They did a CT of the heart, and it only took about 10 minutes. It took longer to wait for the test. As maximumly invasive as this test is, it could save your life, if it indicates a need for further help from a doctor. So, it really is more like taking an X-ray.
@@Metawoodart thanks....seems taking rolaids everyday is really bad for you .... trying to reverse the process and gonna take some time...thanks for your reply
I think grains are a good source, but you can also get it as a powder. I have a product called IP Gold which I bought on Amazon. It was created by a PhD who extensively researched it and wrote a book about it.
Even if I am not sure if I have calcified arteries could I still take those vitamins and minerals and instead of a keto diet a low carb diet is also convenient?
Dr. Berg, I have a video recommendation for your consideration. For those of us on a budget who want to use dietary supplements, but don't want to break the bank, what are some all inclusive medicines? Multivitamin? Swedish bitters? Please help.
What about as a diabetic and Hypocalcemia situation? Does being on calcium for 20 years, after parathyroid surgery (MEN 1), affect my risk of high coronary calcium?
Dr. Berg has mentioned using phytic acid (IP-6) with EDTA, which is also a chelator. Should they be taken together or at different times and can either chelate and remove beneficial supplements like amino acids?
Please clarify: there are 125mg and 300 mg vit E (tocotrienols), should we take 300 mg for initial decalcification and use 125 mg to maintain healthy arteries?
Dr. Berg - how long does it take for arteries in the legs to become calcified? Months?? Years?? I have a 92 yr old dad who just had his foot amputated because of a cut on the toe and then gang green due to lack of blood flow. For 7 years now, Dad has been going from bed to his easy chair, despite our encouragement to get up and moving. Did the calcification happen overnight? Or was it a slow, 7 year progression? Your opinion.
I had this test done in February of this year also a CCTA because of my chest pain my calcium score was 9.5 they didn't seem to think it was so bad would rather it be at 0 been trying to eat better and doing the intermittent fasting 16/8
Thank you Dr berg . This information make feel easy because I always think that there is no hope after you have calcium in the arteries Thank you so much …
Hi doctor, Thanks for the helpful video. If we get our insulin levels under control and follow your suggestions can we actually remove/ reduce calcium deposits? I was also wondering how often should I get checked again if I just had an CT score and want to start on your suggestions to remove or decrease that number Thanks
Wish my Dad saw this before. He reversed diabetes in 2 months, was doing keto, IF, exercise... ended up having a heart attack and had blockage in his coronary arteries.
IP-6 inositol, you stated in another video, should be taken separate from electrolytes as it binds to them so we dont absorb as much of the electrolytes when taken together. True?
I’ve been a subscriber for over a year and I notice I often do the recommended thing already. Thanks from a recovered 74 y/o metabolic disaster, I’m way younger than I was 3 years ago. Aging backwards?
Well it took 50 years for mine to build up.. Id guess it would take a few years to fully clean? But Id think any progress in the right direction would be good.
Thank you so much !!! I never knew vitamin k2 need to be taken with vitamin d3 to transport calcium to right places in body. I am suffering from clogged arteries, fatty liver and pancreas, and I even have ulcerative colitis. I was always taking vitamin d3, without k2. Doctor, you mentioned an enzyme in kidney and liver is necessary to activate the Vitamins d3 and k2. What is it can you tell me?
When you eat foods high in phytic acid, the molecules bind with certain minerals in your digestive tract, including: Calcium Magnesium Iron Zinc Chromium Manganese shouldn't we be concern? What gives? So its good but its also bad? So how long does it stay to chelate then how to add back nutrients as at the time of chelation its anti-nutrient. It block the body from being able to absorb & access these nutrients by the body.
1) Measures the Calcium in your arteries: Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) Test. 2) Pulls Calcium out of your arteries: K2 (MK-7), D3, Magnesium, IP6 (Phytic Acid)

And I thought my CAC score of 1100 was off the chart!
I have 400 plus calcium and also on high BP medicines for last 6 years. Are ypu also hypertensive?
I’m 59, before starting keto I was on 2 Bp meds, weight 210 now 173 and no meds, bp normal. I’ll never go back to eating the standard American diet.
@@nicholasp.9241 what is your score now ? Is are you taking supplements like d3 and k2 and how much doses
You are the best Dr. Berg!
Is there any danger of destabilizing the plaque by removing the calcium that holds the cholesterol together? The theory here is that firm calcified plaque is less dangerous than soft ‘hot’ plaque. Thanks, I really learn a lot from your videos.
Have you gotten an answer to this? tnx
Did you get an answer for this
that's a very good question but it doesn't work in that way. it doesn't just get in your arteries and start chipping away at the arteries. it would turn calcified plaque to soft plaque again
Thank you Dr. Berg for this info. My question: Could the use of IP6 create a deficiency of iron, calcium and magnesium in the body to the extent that it creates a problem? I do take lipase as my pancreas is not active. Could the use of IP6 interfere with the lipase?
This is understandable, I like the way explains It. I'm thankful Dr Berg and so many other Drs I listen to and Bible study teachers I'm so thankful
I had the Calcium score test a few years ago. I'm 60 year's old with a 0 Calcium score . My Dr said he's never seen that before!
Wow😊 congratulations. What is your secret please. I want to help my Mother.
@@koolshen1220 Hi Vanjee
I hope you good health. Never surrender and always seek knowledge...Watch more Dr. Burg videos😊
Watch Ivor Cummins. Calcification on the root cause.. on UA-cam.. it will provide you with very good scientific information.
How it gone calcium ? U took K2?
How best to add Magnesium to the diet? Magnesium salt on food? supplement pill? Electrolyte combo mixed in water? Or??
Very timely video, for me... I was diagnosed with having a couple of heavily calcified arteries... I already take a myriad of supplements, including K2 and D3, Vitamin E, PPQ, Fish Oil, Vitamin C (Complete)... and the list goes on... Oh! I also take Serrapeptase and Natokinase, two potent artery cleansers... However, I don't know if I am getting enough Phytic Acid... I'm going to look into I-P6... That may be key to resolving my issue... Thanks :-)
Hi, did ever find a plan that helped?
hello did taking all those work for you???
Any updates?
The K2 form is missing in most food sources. It is found mainly in fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kefir, apple cider vinegar, and natto.
great dr,,,how long it take to decalcify... and how i know its high or med or low or sever... and it for all ages... thank you sir..
How do you take the supplements K2, D3, Magnesium, and IP6? Do you take them all at the same time together or do you take the supplement separately at different times throughout the day? Thanks so much.
Dr you're giving us very helpful health care tips to the point n explained so well TQ Dr 🌹, stay blessed always
I’m surprise that he never responded that was a great question. Did you ever find out?
@@craigglaser251 Through further research I started taking 100mcg of K2-MK7 per 5000iu of D3 and also 400mg of Magnesium Lysinate Glysinate chelate per day. Can you share how long it takes to correct the calcification?

Doctor , How much should mk-7 (k2 ) be taken daily?
How long does it take to decalify with this regimen?
And do you continue to take the supplements after? And if so at what doses?
Thanks

Thanks Eric.
You are the most helpful Dr. on UA-cam that I I know of.
What exactly do they do to perform the CAC test? Like is it blood work or a x-ray??
Thanks, Dr. Berg and Team
Love you Dr. Berg but we need info on dosing please?
We love you and believe in you, Dr. Berg
If calcification is a part of the healing mechanism, what would happen if you remove calcium from the blood vessel walls?
That is a very good question
Which foods have IP6?
I think grains are a good source, but you can also get it as a powder. I have a product called IP Gold which I bought on Amazon. It was created by a PhD who extensively researched it and wrote a book about it.
Even if I am not sure if I have calcified arteries could I still take those vitamins and minerals and instead of a keto diet a low carb diet is also convenient?
Doc never disappoints! Thanks again for these informative, helpful videos. Have a great day. 😎😁👊
But isn't phytic acid not digestible and inflammatory? Also does it impair absorption of other minerals?
Dr. Berg, have you done the CAC test? What was your score?
He got a 0.
Sophia yes
Please advise on exactly how to get a healthy ketosis.
Dr. Berg, I have a video recommendation for your consideration. For those of us on a budget who want to use dietary supplements, but don't want to break the bank, what are some all inclusive medicines? Multivitamin? Swedish bitters? Please help.
z0rak If poss try & get a food based multi vit & min that has got less addiditives & fillers in
What about as a diabetic and Hypocalcemia situation? Does being on calcium for 20 years, after parathyroid surgery (MEN 1), affect my risk of high coronary calcium?
Dr. Berg has mentioned using phytic acid (IP-6) with EDTA, which is also a chelator. Should they be taken together or at different times and can either chelate and remove beneficial supplements like amino acids?
May God bless you, doctor 🙏🏻
Thank you Dr Berg. Very helpful information.
We get vitamin K in are carrot and celery juice together, pluse we take magnesium and vitamin D 5000 D3 Great information.
Your videos are so very helpful! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, and the manner in which you present the information. I really enjoy your channel!
Please clarify: there are 125mg and 300 mg vit E (tocotrienols), should we take 300 mg for initial decalcification and use 125 mg to maintain healthy arteries?
Do you have a vitamin we can buy with all these ingredients in mentioned here?
Exactly what I was thinking.
Any updates on your score?
Hi
Did they inject you dye
Did you check again ?
How many months does it take to start to clean arteries
What about using Serrapeptase and Nattokinase.....won't these help as well?
Is ip6 good for Low Ferritin and High Calcium in blood?
Are Phos food and Cal-amo good additions to your four supplements? I learned about them on Dr. Darren Schmidts UA-cam channel.
Thank you Dr berg . This information make feel easy because I always think that there is no hope after you have calcium in the arteries Thank you so much …
Hi doctor,
Thanks for the helpful video.
If we get our insulin levels under control and follow your suggestions can we actually remove/ reduce calcium deposits?
I was also wondering how often should I get checked again if I just had an CT score and want to start on your suggestions to remove or decrease that number
Thanks
Dr. BERG is my go to health Encyclopedia! Excellent!!!🙌
Wish my Dad saw this before. He reversed diabetes in 2 months, was doing keto, IF, exercise... ended up having a heart attack and had blockage in his coronary arteries.
It more prevention that decalcify..worry is moving the plaque coz of leakage.
I'm sorry for your loss.
K2 , d3, magnesium, IP6. Exactly where are they in foods, how much should you eat. In tablet form give details please. Thankyou
What about serrapeptase? Does this work also to remove calcification?
Yes, and hopefully plaques in the brain.
Thousands thanks! God bless you!
How long does it take to remove the calcification?
Well it took 50 years for mine to build up.. Id guess it would take a few years to fully clean?
But Id think any progress in the right direction would be good.
Do we take all of them at the same time?¿?
how often should you have cac retested?
Yes but how much do you take?
Dr. Berg , thank you ! Where do I get Ip-6 ?
Are you suggesting taking supplements or a clean diet?
Thank you so much !!! I never knew vitamin k2 need to be taken with vitamin d3 to transport calcium to right places in body. I am suffering from clogged arteries, fatty liver and pancreas, and I even have ulcerative colitis. I was always taking vitamin d3, without k2. Doctor, you mentioned an enzyme in kidney and liver is necessary to activate the Vitamins d3 and k2. What is it can you tell me?
I am in the same situation. Been taking 6000 IUs of D3 without the K2 for a long time. Now taking both.
That’s weird because K2 side effects is enlarge liver
When you eat foods high in phytic acid, the molecules bind with certain minerals in your digestive tract, including:
Calcium
Magnesium
Iron
Zinc
Chromium
Manganese
shouldn't we be concern?
What gives?
So its good but its also bad?
So how long does it stay to chelate then how to add back nutrients as at the time of chelation its anti-nutrient. It block the body from being able to absorb & access these nutrients by the body.
Interestingly in times of famine there is hardly any instance of heart disease. During ww2 and rationing there was also minimal levels.
that's for sure. it's a disease of lifestyle. I know. I have it. a few months of not watching what goes into my mouth and I have problems
Still taking d3/k2 but have not gone back for another CAC score. When I do I’ll definitely post it here.
I went for another scan and the score went up, there is no way supplements can reduce score. I have started statins just to lower the risk.
Very good videos ..keep up the good work...El Paso Tx...
Excellent video. Concise and straight to the point 👍🏼
Very glad it helps, thanks for watching!
Dr. Berg. Just curious. Might loosen calcium deposits/plaque cause a possible clot - especially as loosened by D3 and K2?
Phytic acid was new for me. I wonder where one can get it.
1) Measures the Calcium in your arteries: Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) Test.
2) Pulls Calcium out of your arteries: K2 (MK-7), D3, Magnesium, IP6 (Phytic Acid)
Thank you Dr. People like you save lives.
That's nothing. Happy to help you all.
