    Don't underestimate the XP given by 50/60/70/80 dungeons, normal raids, and trial roulettes. It doesn't look like much, but they're quick, give Gil and Items to sell, and the XP adds up. And they're fun.

    Just a tip for the Mini Cacta-pot. When you are picking the inital free scratches, pick them in a Y shape (rotated as needed) because it ensures that all possible choices for lines have at least one number scratched.

    BIG TIP for the Grand Company Squadrons. If you for some reason decide to change Grand company, when u get to the rank that you unlock it on the other Grand Company you only need to do the BIG IMPORTANT SQUADRON Quest once *And twice if u wanna be captain* Since you share your squadrons between company's. It is important to know this since Grand Company glams are tided to your current alliance, if you are Flames and get a Flames exclusive (Either aliance seals or Captain tier glam/weaps) and go to Storm for example, you wont be able to equip that glam anymore since you are no longer part of that Grand Company and dont represent it. IF you forgot how to change Grand Company, simply go to your desired one and talk to the guy that you would normaly do delivery/promote and they will ask you "Do you wanna switch?"
    Be sure to check online what kinda gear each Company has so you dont speend 2 much time grinding those early ranks for nothing!

    Also daily beastribes to level them up and get there loot as well. And island sanctuary is mostly what you described you cans adomate it though and it gets a lot less tedious.

      Tribal quests are especially useful for crafting. Lots of crafting materials and dyes come from them.

  • @Wastingsometimehere
    @Wastingsometimehere Рік тому +24

    Once you leveled the island up and got all possible rewards, you may get tired of it. When that happens, keep your production to a minimal. You won't earn as much so much as you want to keep the island going. I wouldn't pay a daily fee to have mammets do your crops, but to feed your animals is very useful. Once in "maintain mode" then you only need to do so weekly. Islands don't make profit outside of selling dyes so much as they save you money when you need that crafting/gathering materia.

      Or be like me and just stop any processes on the island (such as any automated mammets) to have them do nothing until the next IS update. Already got what I wanted from the vendor and I may as well save the nearly 200k cowries for when something I want is added.

    • @Wastingsometimehere

      @@TheIvoryDingo I have a method to keep it going with the most minimal effort possible. You only have to stress it while growing it.

      The crafting/gathering materia you can buy for cowries are AMAZING money and it adds up. Plus free hi-cordials from cowries. I'd say it's worth doing, and just look up what someone suggested best in slots for crafting island supplies.

      You're wrong about one thing: the fee you pay the mammets to automate everything (including crops) is beyond worth it. There are guides you can follow on exactly how to plant so that you are harvesting a bit of everything every single week. I recommend Googling "ffxiv overseas casuals" for more info. Really the only things you'll need to come back for every day are the workshop and the granary expeditions, and that's only until Cycle 4 when you can set the workshop schedule of Cycles 5-7 in advance and even set your granary expeditions in advance for 5 days if setting it on Cycle 4 because Cycle 1 is always a rest day.

    For the roulettes, don't underestimate the amount of materia-clusters and extra-gil you get from doing them as "role in need". Even If you're a lvl 90 tank it's worth to go into a leveling roulette

    One think you can get from squadrons that can be really good are the weekly squadron missions. The squadron rationing manual and spirit bond manual are good for raiding, crafting and gathering overall. Rationing manual increases the duration of your food and spirit bond one increases rate for spirit bonding. There are also exp buffs for combat, crafter and gatherer classes, reducing the wear on your equipment, discounted teleport, etc. Pretty good for leveling and qol at end game in my opinion
    Oh, and before I forget, nice video, you are doing great. Have fun! 😊👍

      More recently they added some Orchestrion music you can buy, but you need to be at a very high rank to get them.

    @uberotaku8536 Рік тому +4

    I knew all of these, though I didn't realize the Gliderskin map was so valuable. I've mostly ignored half of these for a while, but I think I'll start keeping up with maps now.

  • @Jonathan-ug9yu
    @Jonathan-ug9yu Рік тому +1

    I'm levelling crafting atm. Every mission I take, I make two of the item and post the spare on the market board. There's a little extra experience, plus ten of thousands in profit that can go back into buying harder to farm materials for future quests

  • @Tenkuu-san
    @Tenkuu-san Рік тому +2

    I have to say, some of these lose a bit of relevance depending on what other activities you do. For instance if you do A hunt mark trains or S mark kills when they're spawned, you will get a ton of clusters to exchange for materia so the roulettes become almost not worth it. As it is, with all my jobs at level 90, I occasionally do the short ones (Trials, Normal Raids and sometimes Alliance Raids) but don't really touch the others unless it's to help a friend level up their other jobs.
    Same with the daily Mini Cactpot: even if you ignore it and just do the Fashion Report every week, you still get plenty of MGP, to the point where I maxed my MGP at some point before a new mount came out, then maxed it again. Now, after buying the latest mount in 6.3, I only really bother with the Mini Cactpot if I happen to be dropping by the Gold Saucer for something else.
    For the squadron missions, I think the most worthwhile items to be getting for raiders are probably the Gear Maintenance and Rationing manuals, which respectively allow your gear to last longer before needing repair and also prolong the duration of your food buffs. Those I recommend if you don't have other jobs to level. The Gold Saucer VIP Card noticeably boosts the amount of MGP you get even from just Fashion Report, so it's worth using for that alone if you need the MGP. Personally I also like to get the Priority Seal Allowance because I can save all the gear my retainers bring back from Quick Explorations, buy some gear with Poetics, and trade everything in at once on this boost.
    For island sanctuary, once you have a good amount of scrips that you don't need to spend on other things, it's generally recommend to pay your mammets to automate the feeding of your animals on Island Greenfeed (you can craft a ton of it in advance) and the planting and harvesting of your crops. And if you follow a guide, you can actually set the remaining 3 cycles (5-7) of your workshop on cycle 4 (Friday) in advance. I also recommend setting your granary expeditions for 4 days (Cycle 1 is always a rest day) as soon Cycle 5 begins at reset. For that you can choose two materials you will be needing more than others, and this way avoid returning to your island for the next 4 days. Google "ffxiv overseas casuals" for more info.
    Thing I didn't know (or remember, at least): Shell Leather from the Gliderskin maps.
    I can recommend one thing myself: buying Astronomy gear and either using them to raise your desynth levels (if they're presently at least 545) or saving them for when the cap is raised to 630.

    As a general tip to fight filling your retainer-inventories with trash: sell crafting materials you are not using right now.

    For squadrons, you have to to dungeons with your squadron to get the emotes. You need to do it 10 times then you get them. It's awful btw but that's how you get them. They do need to be a certain level to unlock the ability to go on missions with them but I dont remember what level.

    Marketboard can be very frustrating, every server has at least one -bot- nolifer with 10 alts that undercuts hundreds of different items by 1 gil every half hour.

    for EXP from roulettes, i dont think this person who did all the math did Frontline, Gildhest, Expert, Mentor, or 90s, but for raw numbers from the rest it goes MSQ, Alliance Raids, Leveling, 50607080, Normal Raids, then Trials, but at the same time Trials is the most efficient for just time to EXP ratio

    How do I assign retainers a DOL/DOH role? Only options showing up are DOM/DOW

    • @kurtcobane1762
      @kurtcobane1762 Рік тому

      How it works is there level cap is your level so if you're level 80 the retainers cap is 80 and added note retainers CANNOT be DoH DoW/DoM and DoL only if the option doesn't come up you likely don't have gatherers levelled

      Check your retainers and slick the sell items in your inventory on the market.
      If you don’t have a retainer google or a UA-cam search should help with that haha

    If you grind FFXIV every day, you will burn yourself up with the game. Trust me, I’ve been there. Unless you pursue a certain goal within the game, you DO NOT NEED to do anything on a daily basis.

    Hear me out- or… don’t do em. Do what’s fun for you. I’ve been scolded multiple times for not doing the fashion report despite the fact that I literally just don’t want to.
    You DONT have to do content you don’t want to do. Don’t let completists gatekeeping players make you feel bad or alienated because you don’t have every class fully leveled up or whatever.
