I agree I play miqote and I didn't care if it was popular or not popular, in mmo I don't pick things about my characters based on how special they are/they could be, I just want to play what I like. Also in general I don't like animal features in mmo characters that much, so I was a bit meh at first...but I liked their proportions and stuff. Then I made my final decision because I read about their lore and I liked it a lot and because of this I even start liking their animal features, so I made a miqote ^^
I really like the fact that the most common endgame combo is Cat girl because it gives them all of this Schrodinger thing where are they could be hardcore raider or ERPer or BOTH.

Last I checked, the equivalent of the Miqo'te in WoW would definitely be the Blood Elves for Horde and Humans for Alliance (but special mention for Void elves which are blood elves but slightly different)!
The one time I had a strange rp in a Dungeon back in Stormblood was leveling RDM and this other male Miqote, as a RDM, as we were waiting for a new party member to join after they left was asking me if I was liking RDM and if I wanted some private lessons after the dungeon. I told him no thanks but he insisted with "a pretty girl like you? I'm sure to put a Red in your Mage." I was so embarrassed that he was doing the whole "Picking up chicks on a dungeon" like the anime.
I will forever and always keep my Highlander lady. I'm the kind of person that when I make a character, I stick with it and rarely change them. Even with the limited customizations I still spent a good amount of time in the character creator when I started XIV. However, I do have a catboy alt, because I just adore those ear wiggles.
I think Yoshi P said in a Live Letter that they will be doing the graphic update in staggered iterations, first seemed to be faces eyes and foliage rendering from what they have shown way back. He also said they will try and provide high res textures for more popular glamours first Can’t wait for hairs though, and also some go unannounced, like wind animations and texture updates on clothes
..... and because of limitations, all vieras look the same anyway lol No single race feels unique, devs fault. So at the end y'all just gotta play what you want to see, no matter if it is unique or not.
I play a male Miqo'te who has lighter purple hair with pink highlights and a darker skintones. I feel like you can be unqiue because I've never seen anyone look like my catboi yet lol Im a viera male right now because I wanted to give it a try but I will always be a Miqo'te no matter how common they are. I love them...I started out as a Miqo'te and ever since I've become attached to him.

Realistically yes you should play with what you want too see, I just find it funny that men just want to play with young women and toddlers. Then act like it’s the devs fault they have some pretty rounded tastes of not just making every race short or look like kids, like as much as I’d like the elves to have a more rounded body instead of being giraffes at least you know the guy more likely playing a wrothgar and elves isn’t gonna look at your pixels with blood rushing to they’re main hand weapon. Or god forbid kids and let’s be honest anyone dressing a Lala up like a stripper has some kind of problem lol hopefully not big. Nevertheless a problem cause that is what they want too see. So idk lol maybe square should rework miqo to be slightly taller. Or make other races shorter. I think it's the whole "glam fits them better" thing... Like, as a Viera main, who has no hats, a lot of attires look off without the respective hat. I also have a Lala, but few things fit as they do on other races. Of course, there *is* the rebuttal of "Mid/Thighlanders can pull it off", and I'm not one to disagree
All glamours in the game are indeed designed for one of two races: Fem Miqo'te and Fem Roegadyn. Because everything that looks bad on one of those options will look absolutely STUNNING on the other. Signed, one of the rare Fem Roe players.
i've been adopted by another fc in another server, so usually if i afk, i usually squat by their fc house so they can "pet for good luck" and a member there have forbidden me to change race cause i'm her designated "ear-wiggler" i like male Miqo as it reflect a lot of traits that i have irl, the squat, the stretch is all very energetic laidback fighter like which i love!! i do play a pink/red ish hrothgar on my alt tho, but haven¨t played enough to form an opinion yet
best race for me is huyr or roes, they have mucles sliders so its already more options, and hyurs have 2 sub sets with diffrent animations and diffrent voices, so already more options then any other race.
I have also chosen female Mi'qote for my full first playthrough. I say first "full" because I've tried FFXIV multiple times but to no success. My first time playing I went with female Au Ra as a Lancer. I wasn't really in the mood to try anything new at that moment, so I quit when I hit level 9 or something. My 2nd time I went with male Au Ra but deleted the character quite quickly because I just didn't like the look of male Au Ra's. My 3rd time was when I really got into FFVIX and started watching content creators, and being inspired by Pint I went with a female Lalafell as a Thaumaturge. That was the first time I actually kind of enjoyed the game, but that didn't last that long since going solo as a Thaumaturge is kinda iffy, especially in the lower levels, so I deleted that one and immediately started a new character. (I did enjoy playing as a Lalafell though, I just love how menacing they feel, but that only works as a Thaumaturge in my opinion. Anything else looks kinda weird on Lala's) That new character is what I'm still playing right now: a female Mi'qote as a Warrior. Currently level 40 and I'm immediately gonna go full weeb mode as a Samurai when I get to level 50
I remember when I first started i had played a Miqo'te conjurer but i had completely forgotten the character when i officially got the game so i started on a new server with a lalafell arcanist then turned him into the dragon race but eventually i started over with my friend and now I'm the rabbit race from shadowbringer started as a architect again but not i'm a black mage going through heavensward
I love my Elezen I have 2 of them, one cat boy and a bun boy and a dragon boy, but the tail clipping on Armour is really bugging me for my cat boy at the base of the tail is going a little to the left when standing In basic pose it really bugs the crap out of me or belts going thru the tail really difficult to make a glam that doesn't bring the "that's wrong" feeling for me
Personally, I fell in love with my boy's expressions and I adore his basic sit emote, joy and shocked. Many of his emotes, really. Originally though I picked him because the male miqo'te build just best suited a pre-existing character I wanted to make. What I don't like is that some of the bulkier garb doesn't look good on the miqo's more slender form with our shorter shoulders, and that too many people seem to think that just because you play a miqo, you must dress them up scanty and enjoy ERP, even when it's pretty clear you are more interested in fitting them into the lore and story.
"Hairstyles and glams". Me looking at how the ears not being in human spots makes some hairs not fit well with them bc there is nothing pulling the hair back, or wondering where most glasses and monocles just get glued to the side of their head, or almost all hats hiding the ears, which is one of the important feature of the race
Given player race popularity Miqo'te and Blood Elves are the clear equivalents, they're also the shortest races that being short isn't their deal (Goblins, Gnomes, and Vulpera are in the Lalafell height group, whereas Blood Elves are just slightly shorter than humans, Dwarves are shorter yet, but are absolutely built)
a stereotype for miqo'te that i've noticed is that they're all white skin, light hair (blonde, pure white or pink) and has a pony tail, those miqos are everywhere
@meka-ol4euthat is gorgeous....don't know why more people don't choose grey skin for their Keepers. I play a dark skinned Seeker Miqo'te myself, but I have seen a few grey skin Miqos and even like Viera and Au ra. Still rare but I do see them occasionally.

I started with my Miqo'te, just changed her hair color and made her slightly taller, for my own RP. I started and wasn't able to select Viera (had not buyed shadowbringers at the time) so I picked a catgirl, 'cuz cute. Now I had so many stories with my character, I morally can't change her, I love her this way.
Lol got to endwalker with a cat girl, changed to short people and now I basically either look like a comedically badazz short king, or wear really big hats that make me take in more of that class energy. Don’t get me wrong I can always change back to a female cat I just kind of got sick of how many cringo weeb lord kept coming up to me cause I like clean fashion. Also the personal degeneracy of having probably the most cringe race kinda blew like this is coming from a guy who if he puts on the wrong outfit, questions can be asked. Meanwhile and questions asked towards a cat girl that looks like a stripper, they act like you accused them of of what the Lalafell players get accused of when they act or say something sus. So really the vehement cringe and nut energy over cat girls is just too coomer for me. Lol what’s the saying? It’s easier to burn a bridge than build it and my bridge was filling up with 40 year old fat dudes playing kitty girls real quick. 😂 also let’s be honest cat girls are like 50% men’s transona with a pair of ears on them. The “I was born a man but just play women cause “secy” and no other reason” lol you have to be one hell of a normal dude to not have that, and the ff14 community is anything but normal, special class is a more proper comparison. Either way Lalafell that dress like strippers are the true demons, but there are more of you so it’s just easier to burn.
Tbh, I prefer play female characters in games, even in tabletop RPG because I find it easier to "link" emotionally to them, to feel what they feel. When I started ffxiv with a friend, he started an ao ra, i wanted to do something else. I was not ready to discover I was playing the race the most played of the game.
In this game there is only cat and not a cat (which includes the big hairy cats in this case). While I have yet to play a cat, but even the MSQ has major cat characters. Not even he official story can ignore this trend.

I've never experienced any hate for playing Miqote, but I did know someone who bitched me out for playing Blood Elf in WoW because he didn't want The Horde to have pretty girls in it.
Should do a video about male Aura. In my opinion their the ones that come across as the least unique. Almost all the Male Aura I've come across have the same same face (face 2), black hair, DRK, black outfit ect. Like to me that's the edgy boy starter pack.
It's the only race that doesn't have a severe neck/posture problem. For females, Hyur and Viera necks are too large for their body. The Au'ra run like dorks and have odd faces. Miqote is the race with the most normal proportions, even though their necks are bent forward and the male miqote have gnarled hands.
When you mentioned changes that could be made to Miqo'tes i instantly thought of something i saw in PSO2 and wished this game had: different stances. I want square enix to give me more idle stances, and make me able to change my walk and my run. I want to hit sprint and see my moon cat warrior book it on all fours like a fucking goblin
The worst thing about Miqo'te and Au Ra is the tail clipping through capes and other gear. I like the races but nah, sometimes that adorable tails ruin it. Reasons why I went Hyur.
first time i tried ffxiv I was a duskwight (i find the elezen hate dumb, like other races it suffers from bad textures) but I felt like that made me stand out too much LMAO. especially on aether, starting in limsa, towered over everyone. The second time I made a mooncat, specifically for the reason of not wanting to standout. They're my ocs now and I love them both. When I decide to be bothered I'll make an alt and level my duskwight again
I agree with all these points as a ex-Miqo'te myself on my oldest character, though I think that there are just too many Miqo in FFXIV, so I'm constantly looking to change it up (current character is Elezen)... And that moment when you recognise Hideki Naganuma for a small bit right near the end of the video, but cannot identify what the song is! Sounds a lot like Fly Like a Butterfly, but it also sounds like another one I know Dx

What I dont like about miqotes is that they are very tomboy'ish. If the midlander girl is the stereo-type anime girl, the miqote is the standard carefree-outgoing type of anime girl. Both are fine but neither appeals to me ^^° Usually, I prefer elezen for their elegance (just take a look at their emotes for that), but sadly their gait as well and their face options dont really appeal to me any more. Hence why I main viera now: proper animations and good looking features. And the hat- and hairproblem... ah well, some have it worse XD And I almost never display my hats (on elezen) anyway, sooo... Really, really curious about female hrothgar ^.^
My reasoning is simple. I was ffxi player and started Hume. Eventually wanted to try another class knowing that Mithras had a small advantage as thieves I made a new mithra and ran that the rest of my years playing. As ffxiv came out I picked the cat girl race again to stick with tradition. Eventually ARR came to be and I could finally be a male. I’ve been so since I’ve been on the fence if I should switch to hrothgar since I want to be different at this point just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Oddly enough not enough hrothgar glamour like questions and examples
surprisingly, playing a male miqo gets u to feel pretty unique. not a lot of the guys look the same (except the bards and graha impersonators lol) so we get to feel a lil special if we dont pick the cat girl 🐲
I hate to break it to you but pretty much no one hates Miqo'tes. Males definitely have the cuter emotes imo. Ear wiggles are the best but I also like that even in a resting pose, their tail moves more than a female's. Though for males, I wish that we could get different sit options so that we could choose with Change Pose to either sit normally or squat. My main is a female but I do have a male too. Personally I feel as though Au Ra is much more of a "cute" race than Miqo'te and there is a lot less variety to it from the characters I've seen. I've seen a few unique ones though. My own female Miqo'te is fairly unique too because I used some of the less used features such as thick eyebrows, the largest nose and a tan skintone.
Yeah I do say using darker skintones is also a unique thing for any race in general, because people don't find it attractive I guess is the idea. Considering about the animations and poses I have nothing negative to say about any of them. I find it to be unique for each race and gender personally.
Lol when people would rather play a an ugly teenager with a hot body or a toddler, then a man or a hot tall woman, you know the community has a “rat”problem.
I don't hate Miqote or Miqote players but what I do dislike is the overabundance of Miqote players. For my experience personally I really enjoy when online multiplayer games with multiple races have players at least reasonably spread across those races to really add to the flair of the world. It gets very samey when everyone's a catgirl walking around all the time and I don't think more customization options would really fix it. I like people enjoying the characters they play as of course, but then I would also like them to implement some kind of bonus reward for playing a less popular race, since there are plenty of players who don't care quite as much about their race and therefore wouldn't mind spreading things out a bit if the prize was good enough.
Favorite thing: ears and tail, the hair styles, looks the closest to myself while not playing a hyur. Least favorite: my ears don't move as much as the men Miqo'te ears do. not enough fur. As soon as female Hrothgar is available, I'm switching and never look back
But based on the artwork I’ve seen on them female Hrothgar seem to have even less fur don’t they 😵💫 the vivid dark blue on that one art piece circulating looks like their skin sadly
@@Yamidoragon all we have is speculation right now, unless anything has been revealed in the live letters lately. The Hrothgar look exactly like the Ronso in FFX. The males are covered in fur so the females should be, too. Even if they aren't they should at least have more feline facial features. That alone would be enough for me to make the switch.

At this point I could not care less about what other people think. I think Miqos are the prettiest race so I'll play one. When someone else ends up looking exactly like my character.... excellent, i want to see more of this. Hell... I would love to see even more Miqo'tes in the game and less Vieras but at least I can see mine every time.

Didn't know anything about any race when I started, I don't care if they are over used I play Miqo because they are adorable and cute....also because I like Kemonomimis lol
For what it's worth I yet have to see another all black Miqo'te besides of me. Also I think there are so many Miqo'te because both genders look good. In comparison for Au Ra I'd say propably 85% to 90% are females bringing them closer to the amount of Miqo'te girls. And Viera and Hrothgar are at a disadvantage for not beeing included in the free trial, even if I predict a steep rise in Hroth population with the arrival of Dawntrail :P
Casual player? After a number of years in this game, yes. Casual as in "I can play daily for a week and then go off and do Real Life things for a couple of weeks and then come back to take up where I left off" casual. My own catboy avatar has remained the same since ARR. It's comfortable, like a well worn sweater at this point. I never really enjoyed the catgirl look when I tried it. I do like Elezen, although the males are a bit too skinny.
Honestly, both male and female miqo'te look off in any job they play except crafters. The same would go with lalafel, except it comes off as more of a joke as opposed to miqo'te feeling like they're supposed to be taken seriously in a combat role.
Male Miqo'te are still less popular than Male Hyur according to the census. I'm about to go from male Hyur to male Miqo'te to go along my wife's female Miqo'te, lol.

My Hyur Midlander is an Ishgardian Dragoon. She wouldn't be 'prancing'. I'd also like some of the male weapon idles too, but. oh well.

I always greet my miqo friends with "hello smol", since as a viera I always loom over them
I have also chosen female Mi'qote for my full first playthrough. I say first "full" because I've tried FFXIV multiple times but to no success. My first time playing I went with female Au Ra as a Lancer. I wasn't really in the mood to try anything new at that moment, so I quit when I hit level 9 or something. My 2nd time I went with male Au Ra but deleted the character quite quickly because I just didn't like the look of male Au Ra's. My 3rd time was when I really got into FFVIX and started watching content creators, and being inspired by Pint I went with a female Lalafell as a Thaumaturge. That was the first time I actually kind of enjoyed the game, but that didn't last that long since going solo as a Thaumaturge is kinda iffy, especially in the lower levels, so I deleted that one and immediately started a new character. (I did enjoy playing as a Lalafell though, I just love how menacing they feel, but that only works as a Thaumaturge in my opinion. Anything else looks kinda weird on Lala's) That new character is what I'm still playing right now: a female Mi'qote as a Warrior. Currently level 40 and I'm immediately gonna go full weeb mode as a Samurai when I get to level 50
I remember when I first started i had played a Miqo'te conjurer but i had completely forgotten the character when i officially got the game so i started on a new server with a lalafell arcanist then turned him into the dragon race but eventually i started over with my friend and now I'm the rabbit race from shadowbringer started as a architect again but not i'm a black mage going through heavensward
Best class for Miqo is Red Mage by far. Puss in boots !

I love my Elezen I have 2 of them, one cat boy and a bun boy and a dragon boy, but the tail clipping on Armour is really bugging me for my cat boy at the base of the tail is going a little to the left when standing In basic pose it really bugs the crap out of me or belts going thru the tail really difficult to make a glam that doesn't bring the "that's wrong" feeling for me

Miqo’te are my second favorite race in the game, they are fun to play and they glam very well.

Personally, I fell in love with my boy's expressions and I adore his basic sit emote, joy and shocked. Many of his emotes, really. Originally though I picked him because the male miqo'te build just best suited a pre-existing character I wanted to make.
What I don't like is that some of the bulkier garb doesn't look good on the miqo's more slender form with our shorter shoulders, and that too many people seem to think that just because you play a miqo, you must dress them up scanty and enjoy ERP, even when it's pretty clear you are more interested in fitting them into the lore and story.
As a manca'te WAR i pretty much instantly fell in love with Demon armor of Fending. Probably the best heavy armor for cats.
YES ear options! The worst thing about miqo'te is their ears are too small and thin, I want them to look like actual cat ears!!!
I love catgirls but I ended up being a Lalafell even though I hated on them for weeks, I made one as a joke and have never looked back.
"Hairstyles and glams". Me looking at how the ears not being in human spots makes some hairs not fit well with them bc there is nothing pulling the hair back, or wondering where most glasses and monocles just get glued to the side of their head, or almost all hats hiding the ears, which is one of the important feature of the race
Given player race popularity Miqo'te and Blood Elves are the clear equivalents, they're also the shortest races that being short isn't their deal (Goblins, Gnomes, and Vulpera are in the Lalafell height group, whereas Blood Elves are just slightly shorter than humans, Dwarves are shorter yet, but are absolutely built)
a stereotype for miqo'te that i've noticed is that they're all white skin, light hair (blonde, pure white or pink) and has a pony tail, those miqos are everywhere
@meka-ol4euthat is gorgeous....don't know why more people don't choose grey skin for their Keepers. I play a dark skinned Seeker Miqo'te myself, but I have seen a few grey skin Miqos and even like Viera and Au ra. Still rare but I do see them occasionally.
@@PrincessofKeysgenerally Paler skins are seen in a more “beautiful” that’s even a mentality in most Asian countries the lighter your skin the “cuter” also probably most likely Asian/white people self inserting they’re transona into a female cat girl or something. I started with my Miqo'te, just changed her hair color and made her slightly taller, for my own RP.
I started and wasn't able to select Viera (had not buyed shadowbringers at the time) so I picked a catgirl, 'cuz cute.
Now I had so many stories with my character, I morally can't change her, I love her this way.
Lol got to endwalker with a cat girl, changed to short people and now I basically either look like a comedically badazz short king, or wear really big hats that make me take in more of that class energy. Don’t get me wrong I can always change back to a female cat I just kind of got sick of how many cringo weeb lord kept coming up to me cause I like clean fashion. Also the personal degeneracy of having probably the most cringe race kinda blew like this is coming from a guy who if he puts on the wrong outfit, questions can be asked. Meanwhile and questions asked towards a cat girl that looks like a stripper, they act like you accused them of of what the Lalafell players get accused of when they act or say something sus. So really the vehement cringe and nut energy over cat girls is just too coomer for me. Lol what’s the saying? It’s easier to burn a bridge than build it and my bridge was filling up with 40 year old fat dudes playing kitty girls real quick. 😂 also let’s be honest cat girls are like 50% men’s transona with a pair of ears on them. The “I was born a man but just play women cause “secy” and no other reason” lol you have to be one hell of a normal dude to not have that, and the ff14 community is anything but normal, special class is a more proper comparison. Either way Lalafell that dress like strippers are the true demons, but there are more of you so it’s just easier to burn.
Tbh, I prefer play female characters in games, even in tabletop RPG because I find it easier to "link" emotionally to them, to feel what they feel. When I started ffxiv with a friend, he started an ao ra, i wanted to do something else. I was not ready to discover I was playing the race the most played of the game.

In this game there is only cat and not a cat (which includes the big hairy cats in this case). While I have yet to play a cat, but even the MSQ has major cat characters. Not even he official story can ignore this trend.

I've never experienced any hate for playing Miqote, but I did know someone who bitched me out for playing Blood Elf in WoW because he didn't want The Horde to have pretty girls in it.

Should do a video about male Aura. In my opinion their the ones that come across as the least unique. Almost all the Male Aura I've come across have the same same face (face 2), black hair, DRK, black outfit ect. Like to me that's the edgy boy starter pack.
It's the only race that doesn't have a severe neck/posture problem. For females, Hyur and Viera necks are too large for their body. The Au'ra run like dorks and have odd faces. Miqote is the race with the most normal proportions, even though their necks are bent forward and the male miqote have gnarled hands.
When you mentioned changes that could be made to Miqo'tes i instantly thought of something i saw in PSO2 and wished this game had: different stances.
I want square enix to give me more idle stances, and make me able to change my walk and my run. I want to hit sprint and see my moon cat warrior book it on all fours like a fucking goblin

The worst thing about Miqo'te and Au Ra is the tail clipping through capes and other gear. I like the races but nah, sometimes that adorable tails ruin it. Reasons why I went Hyur.
first time i tried ffxiv I was a duskwight (i find the elezen hate dumb, like other races it suffers from bad textures) but I felt like that made me stand out too much LMAO. especially on aether, starting in limsa, towered over everyone. The second time I made a mooncat, specifically for the reason of not wanting to standout. They're my ocs now and I love them both. When I decide to be bothered I'll make an alt and level my duskwight again

What I dont like about miqotes is that they are very tomboy'ish. If the midlander girl is the stereo-type anime girl, the miqote is the standard carefree-outgoing type of anime girl. Both are fine but neither appeals to me ^^° Usually, I prefer elezen for their elegance (just take a look at their emotes for that), but sadly their gait as well and their face options dont really appeal to me any more. Hence why I main viera now: proper animations and good looking features. And the hat- and hairproblem... ah well, some have it worse XD And I almost never display my hats (on elezen) anyway, sooo...

Vieras may not have many hats but they are the only race that looks stunning with the 2B haircut (nier)
My reasoning is simple. I was ffxi player and started Hume. Eventually wanted to try another class knowing that Mithras had a small advantage as thieves I made a new mithra and ran that the rest of my years playing. As ffxiv came out I picked the cat girl race again to stick with tradition. Eventually ARR came to be and I could finally be a male. I’ve been so since I’ve been on the fence if I should switch to hrothgar since I want to be different at this point just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Oddly enough not enough hrothgar glamour like questions and examples
surprisingly, playing a male miqo gets u to feel pretty unique. not a lot of the guys look the same (except the bards and graha impersonators lol) so we get to feel a lil special if we dont pick the cat girl 🐲
I pet everyone if they're shorter than my character it's brought me a lot of hilarious interactions with players. Made a few friends
There is one thing on male miquo that I just want for all races with beastlike ears and that`s the joy-wiggle
I hate to break it to you but pretty much no one hates Miqo'tes. Males definitely have the cuter emotes imo. Ear wiggles are the best but I also like that even in a resting pose, their tail moves more than a female's. Though for males, I wish that we could get different sit options so that we could choose with Change Pose to either sit normally or squat. My main is a female but I do have a male too.
Personally I feel as though Au Ra is much more of a "cute" race than Miqo'te and there is a lot less variety to it from the characters I've seen. I've seen a few unique ones though. My own female Miqo'te is fairly unique too because I used some of the less used features such as thick eyebrows, the largest nose and a tan skintone.
Yeah I do say using darker skintones is also a unique thing for any race in general, because people don't find it attractive I guess is the idea.
Considering about the animations and poses I have nothing negative to say about any of them. I find it to be unique for each race and gender personally.

I don't hate Miqote or Miqote players but what I do dislike is the overabundance of Miqote players. For my experience personally I really enjoy when online multiplayer games with multiple races have players at least reasonably spread across those races to really add to the flair of the world. It gets very samey when everyone's a catgirl walking around all the time and I don't think more customization options would really fix it. I like people enjoying the characters they play as of course, but then I would also like them to implement some kind of bonus reward for playing a less popular race, since there are plenty of players who don't care quite as much about their race and therefore wouldn't mind spreading things out a bit if the prize was good enough.
Favorite thing: ears and tail, the hair styles, looks the closest to myself while not playing a hyur.
Least favorite: my ears don't move as much as the men Miqo'te ears do. not enough fur. As soon as female Hrothgar is available, I'm switching and never look back
But based on the artwork I’ve seen on them female Hrothgar seem to have even less fur don’t they 😵💫 the vivid dark blue on that one art piece circulating looks like their skin sadly
@@Yamidoragon all we have is speculation right now, unless anything has been revealed in the live letters lately. The Hrothgar look exactly like the Ronso in FFX. The males are covered in fur so the females should be, too. Even if they aren't they should at least have more feline facial features. That alone would be enough for me to make the switch.

I only play cat man because it has the best running animation. Everything else feels like a robot with the stiffest spine. I’d love to play Hyur but I can’t stand watching that running animation

For what it's worth I yet have to see another all black Miqo'te besides of me. Also I think there are so many Miqo'te because both genders look good. In comparison for Au Ra I'd say propably 85% to 90% are females bringing them closer to the amount of Miqo'te girls. And Viera and Hrothgar are at a disadvantage for not beeing included in the free trial, even if I predict a steep rise in Hroth population with the arrival of Dawntrail :P

Casual player? After a number of years in this game, yes. Casual as in "I can play daily for a week and then go off and do Real Life things for a couple of weeks and then come back to take up where I left off" casual.
My own catboy avatar has remained the same since ARR. It's comfortable, like a well worn sweater at this point. I never really enjoyed the catgirl look when I tried it. I do like Elezen, although the males are a bit too skinny.
Honestly, both male and female miqo'te look off in any job they play except crafters. The same would go with lalafel, except it comes off as more of a joke as opposed to miqo'te feeling like they're supposed to be taken seriously in a combat role.
