    This is my favorite new skincare product for 2024 as well 🎉 thanks to your channel! 🙌🏻
    I have those radiating lines from the eyes you speak of, and I thought nothing was going to help that . . . until this! Game changer! 💪🏻
    I’ve had such great results with the 3 strength that I purchased the 6 during this Black Friday sale. I’m so grateful to finally find a gentle enough retinal for my sensitive skin.
    I’m 38 and won’t ever mess with Botox or filler, so this and red light have transformed my eye area from years of all my expressive storytelling and smiling with my eyes throughout 😷 haha.
    Love your channel so much. ❤

    • @TheBudgetDermatologist

      im 38 too and i agree with everything you said haha; I also am the MOST expressive person. my nickname in residency was "Dr. Face" b/c you could tell everything I was thinking based on my facial expressions. Not great for wrinkles lol oh well!

    • @xoxoAvree
      @xoxoAvree 20 днів тому +1

      @ Haha, Dr. Face, I love that!! It just means you’re approachable and friendly. I also love that you’re 38 too, probably why I relate to you so much. 🤗
      I’ve had many people warning me all my life to be careful how much I crinkle my face when telling stories and doing reenactments. 🤭 Now my forehead shows every silly story I’ve acted out, and I have this double-line wrinkle above my right eyebrow 🤨 that’s getting deeper. Do you have a recommendation for that?
      I do love Needles No More, which took care of my 11 lines from an entire life of refusing to wear sunglasses so as not to ruin my makeup. Now I’m disciplined with sunglass use. 😅
      The only reason I didn’t stick (haha, no pun intended) with frownies is because my skincare was too important to skip in order to wear those at night.
      Oh yeah, I absolutely love the Tula Bakuchiol eye cream that you turned me on to last year.

    Just out of curiosity, what makes you not want Botox or filler? Is there a reason?

    • @TheBudgetDermatologist
      @TheBudgetDermatologist  20 днів тому +10

      Botox and filler do work great and can give immediate results. They do come with risks though which is important to understand. I tend to challenge myself to accept natural aging as normal and not buy into the pressure from social media that women have to look unnaturally youthful to be accepted. I hope to delay these treatments as long as I can (and maybe not end up getting them at all in the future). I find that (for some people) getting these procedures at younger ages can make one become overly focused on their appearance in an unhealthy way. It's totally a personal choice but that's just where I'm at currently in my aging journey :)

      I've been putting a retinoid product on my eyelids since the 80s. She has to tell you not to do it is for legal reasons. When the manufacturer did the clinical trials, they only tested it underneath the eyes so technically, if you use it anywhere else and have a problem you can't successfully sue them because you disobeyed the instructions. She can't tell you you can use it, because then if Something Happens, she can sue you because you told her it's OK to do it.

      @TheBudgetDermatologist  21 день тому +4

      I love Avene skincare too! I found this Medik8 eye cream this year as I was searching for an option that had multiple strengths available to suit more skin types and concerns. So I transitioned my eye cream to this one and am working up the ladder! Avene for face is INCREDIBLE - also expensive though! This year has been all about retinaldehyde for brands it seems - so many new options have come out so I've been trying a lot of different ones. So excited to share some thoughts on budget retinal face serums early next year!

    Maelove Peptide Serum does NOT use amounts enough to be remotely effective & does not use any kind of delivery system so the very scant amount they do use isn’t even absorbable in our skin. There are a lot of products from other companies that use a delivery system (so it’s actually absorbable and can work) and provide an amount that will actually do something. There is a reason Maelove refuses to disclose more information on their products.
