Hey thanks for making this video hammy. I’m from Oregon where gutter cleaning is very needed, and wanted to start up my own thing. This video here had some points in it that I think are very necessary, like the roof pitch! Thank you for the advise in this video man!
The door hanger strat is great. Where i live in NJ door to door knocking is illegal and you cant place anything in their mailbox. Door hangers would be a perfect alternative
Thanks for all this great info. I started about 6 months ago and worked a normal job this winter during the slow season. Around spring I’m hoping to go full time, these videos help me with confidence and some things I haven’t considered. I subbed!
Hey Tristan! Great information, thanks! Can you do a quick video on the form you use to present the customer for the 2 point gutter inspection? How do you present that? Right on the spot, in pictures from CRM? Just having hard time how that process works... I'm trying to figure out in my head, how i can present the value in them paying for the inspection... Thanks for all you do man! Keep up the great content! Very informative!
So my question is you throw the bleach down on the roof and then wash it off anything else in this process or is it that simple this video is awesome and helping me out so much just would love a thorough explanation on that process ! trying to get myself out there soon!
You couldn't be more right with just do it. I was making excuses that i need a truck, and i can't do it with my car because i wont be able to fit my equipment. I wound up buying a canoe reack and strapped my 28ft ladder on the roof and went for it. I had 5 jobs the month of December and i did my first job of 2024 today. Love your videos keep up the great content. Ps my car is a 3000gt and i made it work lol
In terms of the 2 point downspout inspection for an additional cost, do you run across the issue of having clients ask or assume that the downspouts should be cleaned during the gutter cleaning process?
Is the downspout not apart of the gutter system? That’s ridiculous what’s the point of cleaning out the gutters and leaving the downspouts blocked sound like a bait and switch to me.
Been doing it for around 6 months now, can't get it to be consistent. I post on Facebook and next-door, everyday. Tried door to door, yard signs, door hangers. Facebook Ads have not worked. Not exactly sure what to do to grow.
@@Tristan.Kalina Post everyday in groups. Been having trouble getting verified on google my business. Still working on that. Definitely in the slow season right now.
Hey Tristan I’m a little confused about the downspout report. What is the customer benefitting from from the report if the gutters have already been cleaned?
@@Tristan.Kalina awesome thank you. I’m also wondering about this tool that I see being used. It’s a leaf pusher stick, and has an extension that allows you to go under the hangers. I can’t find it anywhere.
How can I possibly hope to charge people $250 for a basic gutter clean if people on Google advertise for $150 in my area? I live in Vancouver British Columbia Canada. They are 5 star reviews gutter and downspout flush clean.
Nobody is paying 600 for a gutter and window clean I charge 75 for a gutter clean 120 if its a difficult roof window cleaning for like 10 a window roof wash 350
@@Tristan.Kalina it’s affordable not cheap not everyone can afford to pay half their rent to get their gutters and windows cleaned which means I get more customers it’s about knowing your market and building clients not making your services a luxury type of thing only catering to the rich
@@Tristan.Kalina think about it McDonalds and all these other fast food places charge 1.20 for a burger if they tried to charge 5$ for a cheeseburger are you buying it no and I’m not talking about a Big Mac which would be like 15-20$ if you purchased a burger from any non fast food restaurant I’m strictly talking about that lil cheeseburger if Burger King sold that for 1.20 but McDonald’s sold theirs for 5$ who do you think a majority of people are buying there burgers from?
@@Tristan.Kalina not if I got a steady flow of customers my overhead is close to 0$ there is barely any material cost the largest cost would be labor which I work for myself so that’s about 0$

Could you clean gutters year round? Even in the winter season?
Dude Absolutely!
Not in my area, high elevation, Arizona. Freeze and stay frozen on the shady side through March.
