I feel visiting hours so deeply. My best friend was murdered an hour after I dropped him off. We was only 18. He's never met my son or got to experience these best parts of life. I'm 31 now and still think of him constantly.

I literally sobbed throughout Visiting Hours the lyrics were incredibly emotive. Ed has the incredible ability albeit gift of writing songs that we can all relate to. I still miss my beloved Gran and so wish I could show her my daughters and grandchildren she would have loved them so much. Thank you Ed xx

Ed Sheeran is the best song writer of the last decade. His songs are incredibly insightful, thoughtful, meaningful, and sometimes heart wrenching. You have one of the brightest futures of any contemporary artist out there. And I am old so that means something🙂. What a spectacular tribute to a friend. I play his music every single day. I have not found one I haven’t loved yet.
I was ready tearing up listening to Visiting Hours, then as soon as I heard his voice get shaky at the end and he walked off crying, I bawled.

I've always had great joy listening to Ed Sheeran and now I have enormous respect for the man, the story of him coming to Australia as soon as he heard that Micheal had passed away, did his 2 weeks quarantine and everything else he had to do, so he could say goodbye to his mate, such a lovely heart string pulling story! gives you faith in humanity knowing there are Ed Sheeran's in this world who stand up and be counted, love his song and the emotion towards the end made me cry as well, good on Ya Ed, bloody bewdy mate!! take care Dx

Absolutely fantastic... I’ve never seen Ed in a suit, let alone perform in 1, so I’m thinking this meant a lot to him...
He is absolutely amazing. In 2019 saw him in concert. Opening acts: Zara Larson, band, backup vocals, backup dancers; James Bay (amazing btw) with band. Then Ed came out. Alone. He was a one-man concert. It was amazing.
I have watched this clip many times, and it always brings me to tears. Ed gives a fine tribute to his deceased friend.

Michael Gudinski was a supporter of talented Aussies but also the best from around the world. Ed Sheeran you are beautiful and a vocal powerhouse. I do have to say "Bloody Ed Sheeran" from the movie "Yesterday". If you've seen the film you'll appreciate the line if not you have to watch "Yesterday". There's a surprise cameo from a British Goat (Greatest of all time). I won't mention who the actor is or who they play but it was so beautifully bittersweet. Love this tribute and the film. 💝🇦🇺
