    Hi Patric. I wanted to tell you that this salve has drastically improved my quality of life.I have atopic dermatitis (eczema). I watched this video and made the formula sort of on the fly, eyeballing the ratios because I happened to have all the ingredients (except the royal jelly... I have slowly acquired practically every oil that touts anti inflammatory properties but nothing had worked as of yet and I was desperate because my hands were so broken out. Before this I had taken topical and oral steroids and everything else my dermatologist had thrown at me and nothing was helping. I read a study about propolis and how it can help with the symptoms of my condition and figured “may as well try” I’m so happy with how the inflammation has decreased and how quickly the open sores are healing. My dermatologist was recommending even stronger immunosuppressants and I found this video just in time. I still can’t can’t believe how drastic the improvement has been. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!. I just wanted you to know that your video has changed my whole outlook. You do great work and next time I meet a fellow sufferer I will refer them to your Etsy.

      thank you so very much, I really appreciate your post. I am so sorry for what you've had to go through and just glad that you found something that helps you. I know that a lot of people out there have conditions that sometimes home treatments work on and sometimes they don't, sometimes prescriptions are the best way to go. But I'm glad we found something that works for you. You have a great day and I really appreciate your comments.

    You, my friend, are a true alchemist and I'm binge watching your videos like a good apprentice should. I've learned more from you in a month than a year of watching other soap tutorials on UA-cam. Keep those soapy videos coming and I'll take them in like a sponge. I'm headed over to your website now to see what goodies I can find. Cheers and much Success in 2021✌

    I bought a tin.This product is fantastic. My dad had a small wound with inflammation from sitting to much. MD salves and ointments didn't help. They said it had biofilm(resistance). 7 days 2x/d and the wound is healed with a marked improvement in 4 days! Modern medicine uses medhoney and we used that. No help.Thank you!

    I have no access to a beekeeper to get the raw propolis. I do have propolis in granule form. Can I tincture that with alcohol?🤷🏽‍♀️ I don’t like eating it. It’s too limiting.

    • @SoapyOaksFarm

      Hi Jenny, you can use powdered or granulated propolis, however make sure you know the source, some of the packaged propolis comes from countries where the ingredients can be a bit questionable.

    Since all Honey, Pollen, Propolis and Royal Jelly are healthy, can I make a mixture out of all of these four ingredients at home and eat the mixture like a spoonful a day for better health and is it safe for consumption?
    If yes, what would be a good ratio to mix each of them for consumption?

    Hey Patrick, as I texted to you that I made the Egyptian Magic Cream to see if this would moisturize my skin better than lotion or Vaseline. I went by the instructions that were on the website that gave the ingredients and how much to use but for some reason, mine came out alittle sticky and not very smooth on the skin. I didn't miss anything and followed everything but I'm not sure why its sticky when I rub it into my skin.

    • @SoapyOaksFarm
      @SoapyOaksFarm  5 років тому

      Hi Joan, I am not sure what recipe you used so I can't advise, but it sounds like the proplis may not have been fully emusified.

    • @joanthakker7583
      @joanthakker7583 5 років тому

      I sent to your email the link I used, Patrick. The Propolis I have is liquid so that it would emulsify well into the mix. Amber thinks it maybe the beeswax but we are going to make a small batch just to see what happens. Also will ground the pollen into a powder.

  • @KittenBowl1
    @KittenBowl1 4 роки тому +1

    I liked all the ingredients, except you’re missing an emulsifier and preservatives.. I think each ingredient itself is self preserving to a certain extent but when you mix water based ingredients like honey and tincture.., you would need to preserve. Only anhydrous products do not need preservatives. Also without emulsifier your lotion like salve would separate. Honey and tincture portion would ooze out of oils and beeswax which are oil based ingredients. You should look up how to make lotions and see if you can get more ideas so people can use your products safely.

    • @SoapyOaksFarm
      @SoapyOaksFarm  4 роки тому +5

      Ellie, I can appreciate your opinion, however I have found after over 50 years of making like products that the combination of the anti-bacterial qualities of the honey and the high alcohol content of the tincture prevent any type of need for a preservative in this particular mixture, in addition, I have had no issue with separation due to the temperature of the pour. However if the salve melts, for instance in high heat, you are correct there can be separation. Thanks so much for visiting. All my best.
