Gorgeous lures, Don. They are pretty enough to catch fish and fishermen alike. You found a real silver-lining to an otherwise unfortunate medical situation. Congrats again on the new channel & cheers from north of the border!
I found the link to your new channel finally, I was excited to see it has already began. New sub here sir. I got an air brush back when I was in Oklahoma, I got it from a guy on craigslist and I have really enjoyed splaying with it some here a little bit. You have a great memory who won your jigs, that is so fun as well. You did a great job on all those and I am looking forward to seeing what all you end up making on this new channel brother. I am so happy and excited for you on this new adventure sir. I so wish we had an archery shop out here,. Keep up the fun videos brother and I hope you have a blessed week. Dale
Thanks Dale ! Airbrush painting really is a lot of fun and I am enjoying learning as I go and always thankful when someone offers up some tips and tricks. Sometimes someone will point out something that just seems so obvious after the fact that I have to wonder why I didn’t think of it first. Hahaha, My memory is not what it used to be but I try to keep tabs on the people I have connected with and that have been one a part of my world. I hope you will enjoy some of my new creations coming up, they range from the super simple to a little more complex utilizing new techniques along the way. Have a great week ! Don
Looking forward to your new channel Don. Just think you were thinking of retiring from UA-cam altogether. I'm glad you decided to keep sharing your adventures with us & add an additional channel.
Thanks Tim, sometimes it’s easy for me to get aggravated with UA-cam but they aren’t getting rid of me just yet. Hahaha ! I still enjoy putting together videos of my little adventures too much but with so much going on this Summer making a separate Channel for the lure painting just seemed like the right move. Thanks for coming along on both rides, your comments are greatly appreciated.
My other alias, lol. I just realized I subscribed from my phone which was logged into UA-cam on my other account. I Just subscribed from this one on my tablet.
Great idea on creating a new channel for your lure painting! It is cool that you'll be selling some over at the shop. You are getting really good, and I'm anxious to see the new patterns you will make!
Thanks Henri, amazingly to me, I made an announcement on Facebook last week prior to this video even coming out and have already had requests for 4 orders and have now sent out over 30 individual lures besides the 36 lures I have delivered to my buddy Bobby’s shop. My wife shared this video on her Facebook page and thru the magic of social media it has been shared a half dozen more times and I now have several more orders pending. Holy cow ! I better be careful or I’m not gonna have time to fish. 😉😂👍
Subbed! Sweet new channel, Don. Hey, I really like the driftwood display props. What a great idea that makes your baits look so real. The paint jobs are incredible. I'm afraid the fish will just sit there in awe with their jaws dropped once they see those pretty Ragged Edge lures. Good luck with the channel!
Hello Don, my hobby is also fishing lure related. I make hand crafted wooden fishing lures and paint them. I'm just stopping in to see if you'll be making lures yourself, or just painting them. I normally go for the "start to finish" complete lure making process, but not really into just painting (unless it is a technique I'm wanting to learn) or just fishing videos. Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by Mike. My ultimate goal is to be carving wooden lures as I was inspired by Nate Marling @ Marling Baits but my plans to build a shop where I can sand etc have been put on hold due to circumstances beyond my control. In the meantime I decided I need to learn how to paint with an airbrush and will continue to do that and video while I try to work things out with the shop. I understand if this is not for you but check back in occasionally and hopefully I’ll be graduating from the minor leagues and moving up to the next phase. Thanks again for stopping by. ✌️
@@RaggedEdgeLureWorks I blame Nate for getting me into this lure making hobby 4 years ago! 🤣 Hope all works out for you. Sometimes I just sit on the back porch and whittle or sand on a lure. You don't really need a dedicated shop to start out, maybe if you get heavy into making you will.
