I am not disappointed… It’s a great tent like you said! Complete darkness when you close up all the doors/windows… I had one little minor scratch on the roof of it… And people who buy this tent or any other rooftop tent should remove everything from it. It may be vacuum it out because I seen a few metal scraps that could potentially hurt you or your loved ones… But overall build quality is excellent. Very sturdy and I am so excited to use this thing in the coming days.
@@RoadRashOffRoad let me update this just a little bit… After opening the package, there was a little scratch on the roof of the tent… No big deal. There was a ribbon missing at the bottom of the tent… again, no big deal. Everything else in the town seem to be as it should. I will be reaching out to Amazon about the rivet and scratch. I don’t wanna give it back, but maybe they can give me a discount instead of replacing it.
@@icekarim22 Does the rivet go to something important and can you just install a rivet yourself to fix the issue? My wife is about to give me the go ahead for one and I am really impressed with your Wildfinder. I think that it will look pretty good up on my LJ roof rack. But, she says that I have to sell a ground tent or two if I get this roof top one.
Thank you my friend. I’m using the Rhino Rack backbone system. In my opinion, the best roof rack. Check it out here ua-cam.com/video/eKkPTkD-8e0/v-deo.htmlsi=IaBr2qI78yCagOZZ
Does this come with a roof rack or do I need to purchase that separately? I’m starting from scratch with my Jeep Wrangler. If so, do you recommend a rack? Thanks!
the tent does not come with a roof rack. you will need to get a roof rack for your jeep separately. I went with the Rhino Rack Backbone roof rack. you can see that video here and why I chose that roof rack. ua-cam.com/video/eKkPTkD-8e0/v-deo.htmlsi=QrDV6Tp_u9SOmnTY
That is a very nice roof top tent. It has some nice features. I really like the additional roof rack that mounts on top of the tent. Are you coming out west? If so, let me know and I will show you around AZ, CO and UT so some of my favorite places.
Thank you . I'll try it but I don't think it's going to work. The T Slot is the same all the way around the tent and the shoe bags are too small for the T Slots. Also, if they do fit on the back, putting them back there would be very inconvenient and I would not use them. On a jeep, the back window opens up. The shoe bag would not be able to hang down without hitting the window. also , if your ladder is on either side of the tent, you could not reach the shoe bag to put shoes in there. I'll try it anyway just to see if it fits.
@@RoadRashOffRoad what would you say are differences/the pluses and minuses of the two different tents between this and the naturenest? As they seem to be virtually the same from what I’ve seen.
@@Apcrawler well to be clear, the other tent that I have is a different style than this one… (not the clamshell style) so I cannot speak on the differences of the same style between the two. The difference is I personally have between the two tents that I own is the set up and breakdown time. With the Wildfinder clam shell style, set up and breakdown is super fast (within 3 min and under). With my other tent, it was a pain in the butt to set up and breakdown (8 - 10 min). With the Wildfinder, I love that it has the addition of a roof rack on top where I can carry items that don’t belong inside of the rig … my other tent does not have that ability. However, my other tent opens straight up, which means it has a lot of room on the inside and all four walls open up to windows. I really like that about the other tent.
Cool, thanks. I’ve had the tepiu hybox and currently have a James Baroud. Both are the straight lift type. We’ve had quite a lot of time with both as we traveled around the country for a month with one and the other we took from Massachusetts to the arctic circle in Alaska this year for a month. Living in these tents for a month at a time have to say they are perfect for the type of traveling and exploring we do. Thanks for your input. Looking into one of these tents for my new project build. 🙂
Excellent product, very well made, all metal shell and so many nice extras. Plus the prices is great for what you get.
I would totally agree. The tent is super nice and high quality, warm and comfortable. I really enjoy this tent.
My tent will be delivered in the morning…so excited to get it!!!
its a great tent. I would love to see your thoughts on it when you get it

@@toddhoffmaster6057 it is definitely something I could fix if I had the tool so I would say go for it, bro!
Excellent video on this tent my friend, enjoy it and stay safe out on the trails.
thank you brother and always safe

Great review! Love your winch set up in the garage. Love the stance of your Wrangler too, what offset rims you running there?
oh man.. that thing has been so helpful on so many things
Where did you get your lift storage for your rtt?
I made it. DIY video here:

It’s definitely a great feature. One is the reasons I wanted this model.
I stayed in it for the first time 2 weeks ago at Bear Lake in Milton FL
shoe bags fit across the back.

Do you know the tent weight?
I didn’t weigh it myself but I believe Wildfinder says it’s 170lbs… it does feel on the heavier side of a RTT in my opinion.
Rip naturnest
