I know it's a bit too late now, but if you get an AA Lithium battery from Energizer, it helps to reduce the weight hugely (about 1/3 of an Alkaline battery I believe) and keeps the mouse under 100g with 1 AA battery.
If you’re using the included battery that Logitech provides (which you shouldn’t , get a light AAA with paper clip or tinfoil) I recommend putting the battery at the right side because the left is where the switches the side buttons are located which makes the mouse feel really unbalanced when putting the battery in. If you put the battery on the right the weight will be more distributed and balance.

Crazy how this was once touted the best gaming mouse on the market and here I just bought it as a travel mouse for Steamdeck because of the extreme battery life.
I'm really glad Logitech is pushing the wireless technology as far as they can, to the point of bringing wired performance. The fact that it has batteries really bothers me though. yeh im def getting this, ive been hot swappin AA rechargables since ive had my 700s for the last couple years,IMO its LEAPS and bounds ahead of "rechargable" enclosed....battery where youre then forced to frag with a stiff charging cable or use a secondary option, as it charges....IM all about the rechargables and just poppen them in. Sure the design may be abit more janky than the quick swap the g700s enabled. but better than the g700s( continuity issues as time passed the pick up slam causes bottom battery enclosure to wind up disconecting the battery etc). Ill have to go to best-buy and do the last feel/grip test and see how the buttons actuate to really know if its the one. But at 50$ on sale, talking i could get a 403 for 35$ and a 603 for 50$ and it would still cost less than the 87$ on sale g703.......dont even get me started on the g pro wireless. Ive even seen the g pro wired going for 30$. To a gamer like me id rather have the 2 mice than the 1 703. But ive messed around with mice in my day traded friends for theirs etc.
For those wanting it lighter, im using this with an energizer lithium, that weighs about a third of the alkaline supplied and only using one of them, i have yet to weigh it, but feels good in hand, and im used to around a 90-95 gram weight for my mice. Just a heads up.
well i'm hella late on this but i'd go based on your hand size and weight preference, overall the g305 is a lot smaller and it can go as low as 82 grams with aaa lithium batteries, the g603 is a lot bigger and quite heavy but with an arguably better shape. However i had 2 seperate g603's and both broke down on me, because of the top shell being one piece of plastic i think i bent it just by normal use and it didn't sit snuggly at the back after a couple of months
Why on any review nobody mentioned that Logitech software doesn't recognize the mouse when connected via Bluetooth, thus no configurations are being applied when you use bluetooth. I watched literally all the reviews and nobody mentioned it. I choose this mouse over the G403 exclusively because of Bluetooth feature but as you understand there is almost no use out of it without LG.
Has anyone recolored the removable part of the mouse? I was wondering because I want a white colored one. (G703 has one, but I like removable battery).

Hello good sir, have you ever experienced the double click issue on the right or left mouse clicks that I hear everyone complaining about on Newegg and amazon?
If logitech makes a new version of this mouse along with keeping the weight under 100 grams with only one battery design and give up on top removeble lid (it wiggles after some use) it will be the best wireless mouse. It still has the unrivaled battery life. After 2 monts of use my 603's single battery is stil full (i've been using it on perf. mode since i've bought it). So no need for power play or any other wireless charging tech.
Swapping the battery for a lighter one is pretty simple, you can also remove the tentioning system for the top cover (three screws and its gone) the main mouse buttons also have plastic around them that you can unscrew. Some of the magnets holding the top coved are also not needed. All these changes are reversible and dont really change how the mouse feels, although you should be careful not to break anything
do you always play on paper or glass surface? do you mind to bring any mousepads even small ones? If you say on the first question, then stay on laser. If you say yes on the second question, then pick optical sensor which is G603. Performance wise optical is commonly better than laser, but it can only be played on mousepads.
Ugh. I prefer quieter peripherals. I didn't spend $300 on speakers to only hear the clack of keyboards and the clicks of mice. :/ Not sure why so many people seem to love it so much.
Hi. Your reviews is best in the world, thank you! Question: what is the best mouse for StarCraft 2(per hight APM). My hand 17.5/8.5 cm. Thanks and HF GL)))(now I have Corsair Shimitar but buttons very firm)
the g403 started having scroll wheel problems and now recently the left click randomly double clicks, its a shame since the mouse is really good. i'll buy this wireless one and send the 403 to the repair in the meantime. hope it doesnt have the same issues as the 403
Zy, Is ir possible that you do a comparison between the G403 wired and wireless? I have already bought a G403 wired and am super happy with the design and performance. I want to have a wireless mouse that has similar performance to the G403 wired.
Everyone loves the clicks of the G303. Old Deathadders are really sensitive too, dunno about the new ones. Also both of my friends who have tried it, have issues with the DM1 Pro S clicks being too sensitive.
Thanks for review RJN ! I've got this mouse today and I really like it. It will take some time to adjust to higher weight and different ergonomics than my old g400. But I really enjoy using wireless mouse with this high accuracy and hz. One question - do You (or anyone reading) happen to know if the mouse should be turned off when not using the pc ?
I use a Bluetooth mouse with my laptop just to avoid dongles and it works fine for me. That is considering it is just a cheap HP mouse that was not meant for gaming. No dongles because it works with the Bluetooth most laptops come with these days.
why hasnt Logitech come up with a wireless version of their popular claw mice? G Pro, G303, etc? not too concerned about the extra weight.. its the shape that counts for some reason it seems like they have no issue making a wireless version of every other mice they have.
wired doesnt affect my gameplay at all due to my set up of sticking wires down a curved table edge. others use bungies. i dont see why i would buy wireless mice that need recharging and weigh more. even if it charges thru mousepad, that means i have more things to plug in and more things using up electricity
If the new sensor is 10 times more battery efficient with the same performance, why didn't they just put it on the G403/G900 and get 10 days of usage instead of 1 in a single charge?
I used to own this logitech mouse called "Logitech g300s". I personally own it and I want to know if you can review that mouse since you haven't reviewed it. It's 30 dollars in stores right now.
Dammit. I'm trying to decide between two mice. The g305 and the g603. I'm gonna use aaa to aa adapter so weight isnt a concern for me. I don't have issues will tilt slam, so both sensors are perfectly fine for me. I know that the g603 has better ergonomics in general, compared to the g305 with bulging sides. So my decision will depend on build quality and shape. When I'm playing fps games like csgo and quake champions, I tend to have a hybrid grip of palm and claw. Judging by your review, the g305 is better suited for my hands. However, when I use my computer for non fps games or just simply browsing and video editing, I use more of a palm grip. The g603 is the perfect shape for palm grip from your reviews. So i'm trying to factor every positive and negatives of each mouse to try and make my decision. But thanks Zy. Your reviews are honestly the best, since you cover all of the information needed for a mouse review. Honestly the best reviewer for UA-cam. Thanks alot.
you can get it to 100 grams with an AAA battery and an adapter for it, which is around 5 grams lighter than the g703, do there's no point in buying the g703 if you don't mind the battery hassle
Does this one work with Bluetooth? I have a laptop and I like a mouse that can connect to the laptop's Bluetooth connection. This way I don't need any dongles hanging out of the side of my laptop that are ugly. They are not just ugly but it is easy to bump them. Next thing you know you have an unreliable socket because of it being loose or broken. I do everything I can to avoid that but it can still happen. The best way to avoid it is to not have to plug things into them so much. What few times anything does plug into my sockets, I am careful not to have anything pulling up or down or to the sides, I just plug it in and try to avoid it. I do not like loose sockets at all if I could have avoided them. I don't need power play or to recharge the mouse, most of the ones I had are not bad with battery life and I even had those awful dollar store batteries!! You will know when you see them, they are those ones that are so light they feel cheap. That is it feels like there is not much "stuff" in them by comparison to a more expensive one. You get what you pay for they say!
I prefer the removable batteries to rechargeable inbuilt ones or powerplay. The removable batteries make the mouse last longer.
I know it's a bit too late now, but if you get an AA Lithium battery from Energizer, it helps to reduce the weight hugely (about 1/3 of an Alkaline battery I believe) and keeps the mouse under 100g with 1 AA battery.

Also both of my friends who have tried it, have issues with the DM1 Pro S clicks being too sensitive.
The G Pro's buttons are light as fuck
The G Pro's buttons are light as fuck
My g502 have really light clicks, even lighter than the latest g403 batches.
Can you try Rival 110?
thanks
Is there any difference in performance when using the mouse in bluetooth mode? Also thanks for the review!
Geronimo Yeah worse performance. Its intented for bt only devices.
I use a Bluetooth mouse with my laptop just to avoid dongles and it works fine for me. That is considering it is just a cheap HP mouse that was not meant for gaming. No dongles because it works with the Bluetooth most laptops come with these days.
I play both mobas and FPS and i want a mouse that fits my hand well (16 cm ) any recommendations?
Zy, can you review the g90?
how many notches does this mouse have
why hasnt Logitech come up with a wireless version of their popular claw mice? G Pro, G303, etc?
not too concerned about the extra weight.. its the shape that counts
for some reason it seems like they have no issue making a wireless version of every other mice they have.
Atheris supposedly lasts 350 hours on BT (not sure how long on 2.4GHz). Could be interesting to test it, if Razer lends you one.
Corwin Black i have it, it lasts prob 200 hours or more on 2 batteries at 2.4ghz but it's a garbage mouse.
Garbage why?
Patiently waiting for the minos x5 review
wired doesnt affect my gameplay at all due to my set up of sticking wires down a curved table edge. others use bungies. i dont see why i would buy wireless mice that need recharging and weigh more. even if it charges thru mousepad, that means i have more things to plug in and more things using up electricity
Can i use 1.2V Battery ?
If the new sensor is 10 times more battery efficient with the same performance, why didn't they just put it on the G403/G900 and get 10 days of usage instead of 1 in a single charge?
Does it interfere with wifi?
I used to own this logitech mouse called "Logitech g300s". I personally own it and I want to know if you can review that mouse since you haven't reviewed it. It's 30 dollars in stores right now.
I second this, its a great mouse for claw or grip. Had the mouse for a long time. Loved it
Or fingertip*
with that price I personally would recommend G102 way further.
The clicks are so stiff on G300s.
Are the sides still rubberized like the g403? Or or they just plastic now
Plastic
3366 or HERO?
tracking wise no difference but the battery life on hero is simply AMAZING.
Question, for people that use the mouse, does the lack of rubber side grips effect you?
Not really you don't really notice it unless you're trying to
Nope
sometime it makes me want to get G703
Every review is awesome. 👌
I'd probably have bought a good mouse a long time ago if they didn't have high costs but eh quality comes with a cost. :/
Time Centaur Logitech g403
ᴡᴀʟsʜ Ω ayy lmao didn't know you watched RJN too xD (I also watch Immune)
Time Centaur huh
ᴡᴀʟsʜ Ω don't tell me you don't watch Immune. That's the exact same person commenting on his vid xD
Time Centaur no no immune is basically my babe just coincidence that the one person I respond to in a rjn video is someone who watches him haha
can this mouse scroll horizontally? (side scrolling)?
No
Please reply, this or g502?
I don't know what to get. G403 or G603 :/
Hey, wich one you picked finaly? How do you like it?
I'm using the g502 right now would it be worth the switch to the g603?
Probably not, the G502 is an expensive mouse with lots of features. It costs more than twice as much as the 603.
Wil you review G613 keyboard?
Just got it today... so yeah.
Rocket Jump Ninja looking forward to it. It looks raely good.
403 is still king.. no to mention the design is a bit different between 403,603 and 703
Miguel Rubio yeah, the g603 is missing the rubber coating on the sides
How is 703 different to 403 wireless?
G703 +1 I think so
703 Has 30mil more button press life
g603 isnt supposed to be in the same direction as the g403 and g703.. it should be the upgrade for the g602
Could u ask logitech to make a version using the g pro body?please all mighty zy
the g203 or the g102 wich are basically the same.
yes.but I meant as a wireless iteration. g203/g102 are still wired
you can get it to 100 grams with an AAA battery and an adapter for it, which is around 5 grams lighter than the g703, do there's no point in buying the g703 if you don't mind the battery hassle
without the battery it's 89 grams, so if you find a battery under 10 grams it's going to be under 100 grams.
is it worth upgrading from g403 wired?
If you have big hands, then yes. But if you have medium hamd size i recomend the gpro or the g305 wireless.
whats your favourite mouse Zy?
the mouse he uses I guess, Zowie FK2. His top rated mouse though is the Logitech G403
G603 or G305?
Is this mouse have macro setting ??
Yes, if you use Logitech Gaming Software
