pablo rdz I came here to say the same. I really liked seeing these guys together in the video in general, but I actually really like the idea of having a couple of different viewpoints in the same product review. As a hardcore gamer and software developer that has a mouse in hand for 14-16h/day I love G502. Like it so much I replaced my 2015 proteus core(that will be used in the work office) with a new proteus spectrum a few days ago.
Try the shape before you buy it. I tried like 30 premium gaming mice and only one that suites me is the lancehead t.e. , g pro was uncomfortable for me and my grip.
Returned my g703 to snag this instead. Absolutely worth it. If you want precision and control in whatever you do, small and light mice are always the way to go.
The point about the nano receiver having "G305" on it is a great idea. I hope that they start doing that since it would look good and would be a good thing so you don't mix it with other receivers.
I for one like the fact that the sides are plastic instead of rubber, as plastic would last longer. Rubber feels great but it just doesn't last that long for me. I had a G502 for a couple of years and due to heavy usage, the rubber at the sides have worn out and have gotten really badly out of shape. It became so uncomfortable to use that I had to change to a new mouse, but all the buttons were still working fine so it's quite a waste to discard it.

One way to solve the issue is to have USB rechargeable batteries. You could have two or three of those, you have one charging away, the second one all charged up, and the third being used. So if the battery dies, you could just cycle through the batteries.
Buying On a Budget What do you think of it so far? I'm in the market for a new mouse and trying to decide between the g703 or the finalmouse ultralight sunset
TheSponge467 just got my 305 yesterday and I love it as usual Logitech wireless is as good as wired my aim is spot on with this thing I prefer a smaller mouse even though I have a bigger hand more control IMO I can definitely recommend this though. Then a zowie ec2-a is next on my list.
Well there are only two wireless mice out there. G603 and G305. That is it... The rest are recharge hell and gimmicks for days. G603, G305 both are Cheap, but top tier gaming mice with no gimmicks. I was waiting since 2012 for a real wireless mouse to show up and I didn't expect logitech to deliver, but they did. I have had plenty of mice wired and wireless and I can tell you plugging wire in after every day is annoying, assuming it lasts long enough. Then there are those Qi charging mouse pads and the discharge everywhere instead of mouse that logitech has. Regardless if it functions or not, plugging you mouse pad into a USB to have a wireless mouse just feels retarded after trying it.
JOXi Nope. Talking strictly NO wires at all. G900 needs to be charged, so it is as good as wired. Also overpriced in comparison to G305, same performance, but much longer battery life for much less? WTF? I don't understand gaming perifials. Better = cheaper, fuck it works for me. :D
Also needs a cable, so it is not wireless. Why are you both only mentioning wireless wannabe mice from logitech anyway? As I said there are only two True wireless mice out there. That are good enough for games. There are few others, but those ones have a bit too much of a technical limitations, as far as games is concerned.
I was coming off an older mouse that was much larger and at first I didn't like this mouse when I got it. But it has really grown on me. It is so light, and I didn't know I was actually looking for a mouse that was light...but I am in love. With that said, the side buttons are a LITTLE to small to be easily used for my default hand positioning. Actually, it is just the forward button I have this complaint about, the back button is fine and the one I use overwhelming more.
Got this mouse and used an aluminum foil ball + triple a battery and now it weighs only 80 grams. Same sensor and weight as the G Pro Wireless but 1/3 of the price 👌
I got 10cm wide hands so msot mice feel like thin bananas to me, Got a mionix castor but ive been tempted by the Corsair Glaive or the Roccat Kone Aimo. @Isaac Pao I hope to see companies get into better quality, I got the USB Corsair Void and compared to my Takstar Pro 82 headphones they sound so dull. Regarding having a rechargeable battery inside with a micro USB charger, a rechargeable AA battery can be used. That way it's replaceable or rechargeable, depending on your preference. See Logitech's own G700s or MX Performance mice.
My life would be complete if only Logitech released the remastered G305 with 60g weight and rechargeable batteries. I have tried everything from Razer viper to G pro wireless and for me G305 still gives me the most kills in fps.
i ordered a G305.. if i feel the sides need more texture, some epoxy to spread thin over the sides, and some silica carbine powder to sprinkle over that will give it all the texture it needs.. or, skateboard tape it
To me, this mouse is super environmental friendly for my use and combined with cheap 40 euros price (my homeland Finland is really expensive country in most cases) was the reason I bought this mouse. To me, it is a mouse that can utilize rechargeable battery charged with my Liitokala multi purpose charger, when normal mouse in most cases have some kind of proprietary battery that means you have to throw your mouse away when battery is dead. G305 for the win, hope it comes from post office next week so I can test it soon and utilize to the max. In my opinion, "everyone" should buy this mouse, rechargeable high quality batteries from LG / Samsung / Sanyo / Panasonic and Liitokala's 11 € multi size battery charger with it.
He said they've moved towards more environmentally friendly packaging..battery is not packaging. He never said they were 100% environmentally friendly. The battery is supposed to last for 250 hours of use according to website. That's pretty freaking good.
@@TrebTrails sub 100 grams is fine for most people, and in my personal opinion i'd take the convenience of being able to swap out batteries that are on the charger at all times over losing that to save 10 grams or so, but that's just me
Use a lithium AAA with a plastic adapter to keep the weight around 85 grams. Also for better glide either get some hyperglides or even just remove the round foot at the centre some people find that helps a lot. Overall this mouse is closer to the G203 than the Pro even though they have the same shape. The G305 would be closer to the Pro shape equivalent of the G603, not the G703. As someone with large hands who uses fingertip grip, small ambi mice like this are the best options. I also much prefer no grips on the sides as my fingers grip much better to plastic over grips. But that will all depend on how sweaty your hands get. I do hope they make a G703 equivalent of the pro shape. (so with a rechargeable battery)

Mouse shape is still down to preference, dumbass. Just because you like something doesn't mean everyone else has to like it. Don't take it the wrong way, I like the G302/G303, fantastic mouse, but Logitech is still dominating the Esports scene especially with the G Pro, G Pro Wireless, and the G903.
I wouldnt mind my 502 being wireless though. the problem is that all these new "lightspeed" mice are basic 5-button mice, and I really don't wanna give away that third thumb button.
Great review! I love the sort of "unplugged" style in this one. Genuine and fun! Dimitry is rocking that "rolled out of bed to shoot a video" hair style :-)
IIxVxII 1. mice are a highly subjective thing so just telling people "this mouse sucks get this cheaper completely different shape and size mouse instead" is dumb without proper reasoning 2. how many mice have you owned? if you like the g602 shape and are ok with the weight, that's cool but the tech in it is outdated and other better mice have similar shapes for not much higher price
Nazo 1. I never said the mouse in the video sucks so stop trying to put words in my mouth. 2. I think the 2600 dpi and the 500mhz polling rate is plenty enough for a gaming mouse. If you don't think so that's your perogative.
The batteries do add additional cost to the mouse over time but considering the wireless alternatives where the average gaming mouse is around $150 and above, you could end up saving some money anyway in the long run.
I asked for this for christmas. I've been using the g600 since 2014 and the thing is absolute tank and not really suited for the types of games I play anymore. I noticed especially playing for honor that it's really hard to counter because the mouse is so heavy and the cable drag doesn't help. I'm looking forward to see if a much lighter wireless mouse will help me out. It's also almost the exact dimensions I need using the 60% rule haha.
Can anyone confirm the sensor switching off in 1ms intervals ? Not to be skeptic but that just sounds too good to be true and makes me wonder how far can they push sensor technology however we’re already getting into diminishing return, with sensors from 3-5 years ago getting so good that they’re practically irreconocible with new sensors so I really doubt any company is going to push any harder I think from now on the mouse market will be about ergonomics.
I've been using the g403 for months now but I don't look back as the ergonomics and the convenience of wireless is so much superior compared to the rival 300 i had before
Awesome value! Really good wrok from Logi! I am super excited to hear your opinion on the new Logitech G Pro Gaming headset! Hopefully they improved on the all fabric design and kept STEREO sound!!!
Repost: I have a question that might seem dumb but I never understood why HARDWARECANUCKS, which obviously is proudly Canadian, gives USD prices on their product reviews. Can anyone answer that? Would it be so hard to give CAD and USD prices?
You should compare it to the G603 Wireless mouse. It's basically the same mouse as the G403 ergonomically but with the same sensor as in the G305 (Hero sensor). You can also use it with only 1 battery.
the 603 is heavier with one battery than the 403 wireless, so i don't see any point in getting it over the 403 unless you need a mouse that lasts forever without recharging. hero sensor and 3366 are pretty much indistingushable from each other.
A question about the mouse: Do you need to use the cable or can I just put the small USB in the PC? Also: Is it a Problem that my Internet-router is in another room?
I love Logitech. I've used many of their peripherals over the years. And when the devices break, from wear or what have you, they have replaced it no questions asked. Lifetime customer for sure.
Kyle W. Yep, their customer services is amazing. They once replaced my old logitech mouse I didn't have any documentation on (besides the Logitech logo) with a newer model, cause the one I had was long time discontinued. They asked me to destroy the old one and send them pictures.
Does the Reciver need to adapter for the 1ms response time or is it the exact same? What did you find is better, no adapter or the adapter at your mouse pad.
Sorry, I might have missed this from the video. But does it turn off by itself when untouched? Or do I need to switch it on/off when I'm not going to use it?
The only problem with the mouse is that it isn't built well. It creaks a lot when in use (I've owned it for 3 months). That should perhaps be mentioned ... But otherwise a very good mouse for the price (Germany: 40 Euros)
Right now I'm looking for switch my bit dated G500. So, I still don't know, if to chose hyped G502 proteus spectrum, G403, or this one :) I like all the bonus buttons on G502, but to be honest, I use only main buttons and 2 side buttons and 3 DPI profiles on my G500. Time by time fast scrolling, but realy only a litle bit. But everywhere i see that it's still the best allarounder. I play RPG, MMORPG, mobas, fps.
I use a G502 Yeah, it's the de-facto recommendation for many gamers, but it is indeed a very good mouse. It's accurate and it feels comfy for me. That doesn't mean it can't be improved. Chiefly the weight. It could be made a little bit lighter as even with the weights removed, it feels a bit heavy still.
One question. Once the battery life runs out do I just replace the double A battery, with a brand new battery. Also is there any way to track battery life. Many thanks
Please note that G305 is named as G304 in some countries.
Is the G304 the Chinese variant?
not a variant, they are exactly the same but re-branded as g304 in most (all?) asian countries.
I see. That's why I can't find any G305 here on PH. :P

Don't take it the wrong way, I like the G302/G303, fantastic mouse, but Logitech is still dominating the Esports scene especially with the G Pro, G Pro Wireless, and the G903.
It's good to see Peter Quill doing reviews now
As a mostly story gamer I fking hate these kind of mice, $39 proteus spectrum Anyday anytime
I wouldnt mind my 502 being wireless though. the problem is that all these new "lightspeed" mice are basic 5-button mice, and I really don't wanna give away that third thumb button.
GamerGod91
I've got the g502 as well and there is no way I could ever give the buttons on this thing.
Very nice. Mapping the 5 buttons to the 5 signs in Witcher 3 is bliss
Finally I've been waiting for a high quality review for the g pro headset and g305
Eber x Dmitry hentai.
b-baka!
Great review! I love the sort of "unplugged" style in this one. Genuine and fun! Dimitry is rocking that "rolled out of bed to shoot a video" hair style :-)
Or you could get the G602 for just $36 on amazon......
g602 is a bad wireless mouse though, this isn't
Nazo I've been using it for the last 4 years and it's the best mouse I've owned
IIxVxII 1. mice are a highly subjective thing so just telling people "this mouse sucks get this cheaper completely different shape and size mouse instead" is dumb without proper reasoning
2. how many mice have you owned? if you like the g602 shape and are ok with the weight, that's cool but the tech in it is outdated and other better mice have similar shapes for not much higher price
Nazo 1. I never said the mouse in the video sucks so stop trying to put words in my mouth.
2. I think the 2600 dpi and the 500mhz polling rate is plenty enough for a gaming mouse. If you don't think so that's your perogative.
IIxVxII well if you think that DPI and polling rate are the only things that matter in mouse tech then that pretty much confirms what I thought
This channel needs their own Gaming Peripherals playlist.
G502 Masterrace!
DarkPhoenix1515 that mouse is highly overrated
Man of Hokuto but highly amazing!
LeMans Electro-Light see? That’s what I mean
That's why I purchased a second one last week, after almost 3 years?
G502 is a brick
bought 1, and its amazing! i have small hands and it fit my hand very well
The batteries do add additional cost to the mouse over time but considering the wireless alternatives where the average gaming mouse is around $150 and above, you could end up saving some money anyway in the long run.
logitech has has always been my go to for mice. loving my new g603
If you like the shape of the G403, the G603 has the same shape/layout and also has the HERO sensor.
Waiting for this to become available across the pond
I asked for this for christmas. I've been using the g600 since 2014 and the thing is absolute tank and not really suited for the types of games I play anymore. I noticed especially playing for honor that it's really hard to counter because the mouse is so heavy and the cable drag doesn't help. I'm looking forward to see if a much lighter wireless mouse will help me out.
It's also almost the exact dimensions I need using the 60% rule haha.
Can anyone confirm the sensor switching off in 1ms intervals ?
Not to be skeptic but that just sounds too good to be true and makes me wonder how far can they push sensor technology however we’re already getting into diminishing return, with sensors from 3-5 years ago getting so good that they’re practically irreconocible with new sensors so I really doubt any company is going to push any harder
I think from now on the mouse market will be about ergonomics.
Thank you, very detailed and understandable reviews, always keeeping value at best, youare doing a great job fur us.
Not being sold in Canada yet. Hopefully local stores (Edmonton) stock them eventually.
I’m pretty sure that the USB receiver is universal for Logitech wireless products, so that would explain why it doesn’t have 305 on the dongle itself?
Been eying this baby for about a month now. Gonna buy it soon.
I've been using the g403 for months now but I don't look back as the ergonomics and the convenience of wireless is so much superior compared to the rival 300 i had before
yeah, i love mine too. if only there was a way to make it 10 grams lighter. might have to open it up at some point and scrap some stuff.
Hello.I have small hands (16*9.5) and i am between model o minus and the Logitech g305.What in your opinion should i choose. Thanks in advance
Awesome value! Really good wrok from Logi! I am super excited to hear your opinion on the new Logitech G Pro Gaming headset! Hopefully they improved on the all fabric design and kept STEREO sound!!!
If you use a lithium aaa battery with a converter you can get it down to nearly the same weight as the g pro wired
Just bought one this week for 40 bucks CA and i love it
Do I need to turn it off after every use? Or does it have a standby mode allowing me to leave it on?
I was about to get a different mouse but then I just wanted to see what wireless would be like.
Drinkyoghurt The shape isnt even close
the 603 is heavier with one battery than the 403 wireless, so i don't see any point in getting it over the 403 unless you need a mouse that lasts forever without recharging. hero sensor and 3366 are pretty much indistingushable from each other.
Been using the G305 for 4 months, still haven't changed the battery yet (at 50%)
A question about the mouse:
Do you need to use the cable or can I just put the small USB in the PC?
Also:
Is it a Problem that my Internet-router is in another room?
get some black non-slip stickers for the g304, it would allow you to better grip of the side
Got it from Best Buy for 39 bucks. Love it!
Nice review starlord
Does the Reciver need to adapter for the 1ms response time or is it the exact same? What did you find is better, no adapter or the adapter at your mouse pad.
Very much liked this review with the two of you combined. What I presume to be an off-hand against Ryzen at the end wasn't necessary though.
Sorry, I might have missed this from the video. But does it turn off by itself when untouched? Or do I need to switch it on/off when I'm not going to use it?
What about the Lift off Distance ? is it the same as the G pro ? or higher ?
Hi I'm planning to get either g305 or g403 wireless. Which one do you recommend? I'm using it for fps games like r6
Great video :) You said you use the Rival 310 too (great mouse) how does the weight compare between that and the G305?
Use a battery converter so you can use the lighter triple a battery (AAA) in the double a (AA) slot
The only problem with the mouse is that it isn't built well.
It creaks a lot when in use (I've owned it for 3 months).
That should perhaps be mentioned ...
But otherwise a very good mouse for the price (Germany: 40 Euros)
I'm really liking Logitech a lot. They're mice are really good and now they even have plastic free packaging!!
I heard from Zy that the shape is only thing holding it back from being top mouse.
I use a G502
Yeah, it's the de-facto recommendation for many gamers, but it is indeed a very good mouse. It's accurate and it feels comfy for me.
That doesn't mean it can't be improved. Chiefly the weight. It could be made a little bit lighter as even with the weights removed, it feels a bit heavy still.
hue toob The rubber likes to attract sweat as well
have 2 of these bricks :D
One question. Once the battery life runs out do I just replace the double A battery, with a brand new battery. Also is there any way to track battery life. Many thanks
M1N1M1LKZ over the Logitech app on your pc
Finally a review. Rjn is so far the only one I know who reviewed.
