Make sure to always have flares! Lots of players will request you send a flare when you find a flow tree. This’ll make it easier for players to find where your flow tree is at so you’ll get help sooner.

I actually had an instant where there was a flow tree and I was able to get one person that helped me get it and then I helped him out as well even as a newbie

If u find a flowtree (purple) send a flare (on switch, take out your bow and then press X and select the arrow you want too use) or write ft and then location, take one chop and then when all are there u chop it down together, same with palium the purple rocka, and mostly have fun!
So if I'm playing with the Switch by myself will I ever be able to get a flow tree
@@CandycaneBeyond Yes u will, in the begining you will probably need someone to help you chop it down, it's pretty hard to do it by yourself but you can do it. when you're like level 9 in chopping trees and get the purple axe you can, atleast the little and the medium trees you can cut down by yourself if u don't like playing with others, but you'll start seeing flowtrees in level 5 or something like that :)

Love your video. Just a bit of a reminder: the palium stones are practically nerfed so much that the spots that you mentioned no longer have palium but is instead become so rare that its hard to find. I know since I need a lot of palium to craft better axe, water can and fishing pole since thats the only tools that I need to upgrade
thank you! yes they did get nerfed sadly, I have still gotten some to spawn in those locations still but its VERY rare and not often! thats why I mentioned they can spawn where iron nodes are too!! I farm palium alot myself! I find it way more often where iron nodes are now and I use an Ore tracker to help find nodes quicker which has alot helped TONS, especially since other players are mining, I do not have to waste my time running around and can find nodes quicker that have spawned!

feel free to drop other tips for the new players coming to join us in the comments! I know i missed some wonderful ones in this video! i wanted to focus on things I struggled with personally in this guide.
For those concerned on micro transactions: Everything about the gameplay is free. Only thing paid is OPTIONAL clothing however there are still PLENTY of free clothing to choose from and more character customization is being worked on. There is no forced micro transaction's to unlock areas etc. You can play this without spending a cent.
No quests or gameplay is locked behind a paid wall. They have done absolutely amazing with the story line and its super immersive! Updates are every 2 weeks of new content
Game is still in beta but they deliver so much more than most games I play that are "finished"
How do you find people to play online with? I don’t really have friends who play switch.

Thank you so much Nora I hope I get to see you on a server someday and scavenge with you maybe go on a flow tree scavenge and bahari Bay this is the first time I've ever been sucked in by game since Animal Crossing and I'm obsessed just as much as I was with Animal Crossing I absolutely love the flow of this game The pressure of leveling up and everything is not overwhelming It's just a nice place to chill and get things done I love this game It's absolutely the best Thank you for this video these are things I wish I knew too and I'm really only now going on to my second month playing this game so some of these things did help me redirect my focus on what I should be leveling up

I'm glad that I heard before the Switch release that the big trees don't grow back on the plot. I cleared out the rocks and bushes, but I am planning on keeping the trees around the home as much as possible.
oh NOOO bushes wont respawn!! yeah my biggest regret, you can replant the Bigger trees but not the small trees and bushes

Great video! A tip I have, that I believe you may have said, but I can’t recall, is to keep one of each bug and fish because you’ll need them in quests.

Very Good guide 😄 glad i've spend my renown for +85%Xp and 600 focusbar. I am atm at lvl165 after 140h+ (steamplayer) really wonder how much you played to reach level 700+. My biggest issue is leveling bug catching / fishing...
im a palia partner so its been a while! I have been playing since closed beta. bug/fish is a little more grindy but I level up fast in bugs with honey lures.

Form a guild or group in-game, can you show us something about it or how to do quests together?! Thanks!
Hi!! server is pretty laid back, if the chat bothers you at some point you can actually toggle it off but it will turn back on if you jump to a new server, which you will resume in turning it off again. , you can kinda see how multiplayer works ALSO on my live streams! I would be more than happy to do a multiplayer video if i have time before the 14th, my schedule is super tight right now with the 14th also being my upcoming birthday stream lol!!! you cant do quests together, however you can forage resources together as shown in this video, decorate together, and party is an easier way to track your friends in the servers. up to 4 palians can be in a group which is called a party! with a party, you will see a green dot on the map, and compass to track where your friends are when youre in the same map :) friends can also help water your crops too but cannot harvest!! (hopefully this information can help if i can make that video in time)
Oh my god I really didn’t need to get a new game to dump my time into. Disney Dreamlight just released new content and dlc I have barely touched, I’m losing hours of sleep every day playing Hogwarts Legacy, Pokemon just released DLC, I bought and haven’t even opened My Time at Sandrock, I haven’t even opened Mario Wonder, and now this is free?!?!? Come on you guys, I have kids to take care of and a job to keep and sleep to get! I can’t be getting obsessed with a new game rn omg I still have to get through Christmas! I wish I had all the time in the world for all these amazing games coming out.

Thank you Nora! My problem was making enough money to upgrade my house! I didn’t get very far in this game when I played it on pc.
It's actually easier to make money now as you also have the star stones to mine. If you produce your own star quality seeds and quantity fertiliser, you can make a few thousand each day on farming before you hunt, fish etc. to sell.
The game won't be for everyone, but it's a lot of fun if it fits you. The best way to play is not to put your house first at the beginning, but level up as much as possible, then the house upgrades will be easier.

mushrooms spawn all over the map in grassy areas in kilima village, your plot has some too as a new player but they WONT respawn after being picked, and bahari bay!

Hi, I plan on getting the game for the switch. Question about the tool repair, since I didn't know that was going to be a thing. What do you need to repair your tools? And when it comes to making money, do you sell things at shops? Or is there a shipping bin?
you will get a quest to unlock this but youll need to make repair kits. yes you sell at shop or shipping bin!!

palia runs on its own time system so it shouldnt. It works very similar to games like Stardew valleys time system

I need help. When I was playing Palia i was doing the quest Temple of the Gales in the middle of doing it I decided to take a break and turn off my switch but when i came back I noticed the characters weren't there anymore so I tried to spawn them by doing the quest without them and they did but the problem is that i need to talk to Zeki on the main land but he's already in the new zone. I don't know if it's just me or how can i fix that?

Help please! I downloaded the game via the Palia website, and I waited for it to download and everything, but when I went to open it, it had the starting screen, then it crashed. I’ve retried multiple times, but the same issue keeps occurring. How can I fix this?
Hey, I'm playing in switch, and I cannot seem to remove any building feature I put on my home lot. Like storing extra buildings is done by hitting delete on the keyboard, but I dont have a computer lol. Has anyone found how to store rooms and porches on switch?
How do you log out, do you just press home and end the program or you have to do something else before?

i think, I'll need to have that item first to be able to request it?, i got blueberry seed from zeki gacha before reaching level 10 on my farming, i started planting it and duplicated it, and i thought why i didn't request this earlier? then proceed to try requesting an apple 😅 and it's not there
yes its bugged right now as mentioned in my video, normally I could request anything as long as I had its recipe but its been broken for me for 3+ updates, devs confirmed they are working on a fix

Im a bit confused when the game saves (im on the switch) i know it autosaves but is it every 5 minutes? Is it when i click a button?
I know that there is no dedicated save feature you have to click. In my experience, Everytime you exit the game or reload it picks up where you left off. I think it saves often but idk when exactly to the second or minute.. but i know even if i closed my game in 1 min it would save due to how online mmos work. I know this isnt too helpful from my end but you can reach out to them on palia.com to customer support to ask :)

What button do you hit to get the skill levels to come up?
menu button where you see your inventory, for me on PC its "P" idk what it is for switch
For Switch, it's the Plus button, then press "Inventory" and ZR until you reach the Skills tab!
I really hope people listen to the not chopping down your whole plot straight away, it's been a regret for most early players 🙈🤣 All other mistakes you just make up for, that one can never be undone 😢

You can plant other trees on your plot
@leelahfox7046 You can't though replant larger trees or any bushes, leaving you with one size, which isn't a great look. Most people clear the area before they realise that.

lucky coins are the zeki coins, tokens are the items you buy from villagers!

Are you asking about Lucky coins? He will mail you them if you purchase from his shop and they can be used on the wonder machine in his shop. Its like a little vending machine.
How can you save the game without starting over ?

You can. Some people actually managed toplay it on steamdeck but they're not using steam store.

yes!!! and more character customization is coming in future patches, you can edit your characters appearance as well every week!

you can only 5 rtimes request things after that you have to wait, no bug.
there is a bug, i cannot request anything unless I recraft/pick it up . I've been playing since closed beta so i had more things I could request I've made and owned 3 patches ago, its acting like I'm a new player and just getting these things for the first time, i was not talking about the item limit with it :) The Dev team said they are working on a fix thankfully but we don't know if it will be done for the switch release yet!

Yes. And for the group home sorta. You have to build the house but if you place items friends can help decorate. The games in beta so im sure they will polish that more in future patches.

you can make your own or find people who have one and ask! im sure the palia discord has people wanting others to join theirs, i never use the community tab lol i just do party or server@@kandh125
What’s the point of the game? Is there a story, competition, or mini games to play with friends?
The game is in beta so it gets content updates every 2 weeks. Palia is a vibe of ACNH, stardew valley, Zelda, had a baby . theres a story line, mini games, and quests, and decorating/design. Multiplayer has lots of fun activities. Theres a cooking mini game you can do with friends etc. LOTS is still being added to the game in each patch. Im enjoying it so much. Its everything i wished for in a cozy life sim. Its a MMO so youre in a server with alot of people but you can also hang out in a private party of 4 players in the server to track friends better and private chat as you game. Its very immersive in the multiplayer aspects, and again lots is still being added. The game is free and no story or gameplay is locked behind a paid wall. Its super laid back and cozy!!

So what's the ratio of free to play and any forced micro-transactions?
Everything about the gameplay is free. Only thing paid is OPTIONAL clothing, base game clothes still have plenty of options to choose from and more character customization is being worked on, there is no forced micro transaction's to unlock areas etc. You can play this without spending a cent.
No quests or gameplay is locked behind a paid wall. They have done absolutely amazing with the story line and its super immersive! Updates are every 2 weeks of new content
Game is still in beta but they deliver so much more than most games I play that are "finished" 😊
