Blessed Sigmar, the world drowns in corruption. Your empire is aflame with heresy. The faithful perish and the wicked multiply. Blessed Sigmar, lend me your strength. Grant me the will to purge the corrupt, to smite the heretic, to bring hope when hope is lost. By the Comet and the Hammer, I pledge to the coming battle. I vow not to waver and never retreat, to stand tall against the flames of perdition, to drive back the shadow of Chaos with your holy light.
I love the little detail of Sienna hitting Saltz for littering by throwing his gun to the ground everytime he shots Also, the perfect delivery of "BLESSED SIGMAR... i do not follow" made me giggle
This is way WAY beyond my expectations. You went ahead and not just animated this wonderfully for the length of a short film, but the way you 'visually wrote' every scene and especially THE CINEMATOGRAPHY is something that would give a professional DOP a run for their money. I suppose Warhammer's grimdark setting lends itself naturally to low lighting, and you capitalized on that perfectly. All this and I haven't even mentioned how well you utilized each character. It would be criminal if this does not get noticed. Regardless, this is the kind of work you can be proud of for a long time.
This legit brought tears to my eyes. When I first got into Warhammer I bought a steam tank model, even though I only collect 40K armies, because steam tanks were the first ‘cool thing’ to catch my eye and pull me into the hobby. I’ve never built it though, and it’s sat at the bottom of my pile of shame for all this time as I’ve improved my skills. But after seeing this? I think I’m gonna give the old girl a go just like the Ubersreik Five did. And I’ll give it the very best assembly and paint job I can! Long live the Empire of Man!
This looks like a professional made it. The fact that you had no experience and yet made a masterpiece is quite the feat. The atmosphere, the banter and their little individual quirks, the facial expressions, and the character development are all *chef's kiss*. Thank you for sharing this project with the community.
Now I just need some one to MOD in the "Lumberfoot" into total war. What better way to add a regiment of renown for the empire then the ubersriek five driving a bright wizard powered steemtank.
I will say that some of the earlier scenes seemed less polished and somewhat wobbledy, but as the animation goes on I can see a great progression in skill and learning in animation happening. This is a fantastic piece, very well done indeed ♥
the little thing i loved the most was how everyone was standing behind Saltzpyre for cover when Sienna fired up the tank, but Saltzpyre stood there stoicly. He really did have faith in her.

What an absolute fucking legend. One of the best Vermintide fanimations I've seen, hands down. Really loved the humor sprinkled in with legit serious stuff.
If I were Fatshark I'd create a simple spin-off game just for this. Just make an intro with the Chaos Gods having a laugh at how the U5 kick ass, and then Khorne* goes "there's this other timeline that I really like, let me show you..." and boom, you're all set and it's 100% lore-friendly. Easy money right there. * = Khorne is the most mechanically inclined of all the Gods and given the way the U5 drive, it'll be in melee for long enough for the war god to give it a thumbs up.

Amazing. i cant even put into words how great this is, from the animation, music, lighting, hell even the way you spliced dialogue from the in game samples to mimic actual dialogue between the ubersreik 5. Everyone who worked on this take a bow seriously, fantastic work. and thank you janfon for posting about this or i might have missed it completely.
From when I first brought you on to my project many years ago, I knew you were someone with such a strong sense of creativity and passion for storytelling and worldbuilding, that you would continue to go onto even greater work in the future. This is proof of that, and I feel blessed to have been able to work alongside you. Wherever you go in the future, just know that I'm so happy to see you realizing your creative potential in new and exciting ways like this.

Holy cow.......I never expected to end this evening with such a masterpiece. I have no idea how you did it sir, but you did something simply marvellous. Thank you good sir, for this amazing craft and I hope to see more from your amazing work ! :)
By the hammer! I love all the natural pairings as the animation plays out, Kruber and Keri splitting off while Saltz and Sienna search together. Then later Keri finding Kruber and sitting with him. Then there's the goofy but 100% accurate stuff like Saltz having the booze already on hand for Bardin to motivate him, as well as Keri only contributing to the repairs by writing "lumberfoot" on the tank. I never imagined Sigmar spoke to his followers through floating text but I love it. The new outfits are perfect, but I really liked Sienna's glasses and it was wild seeing Keri in empire made armor. The end could not possibly have been more glorious unless you had posed the tank at the top of a hill while skaven swarmed around it and the 5 obliterating them all together in a sort of homage to the old doom slayer scene. Seriously well done with this animation ❤
Absolutely incredible! Please, please tell me Fatshark at least thinks about that cosmetic collection as an addition to which we have already. The costumes at the end are absolutely brilliant.
