That was a win for Jeremy, if i remember correctly it stemmed from Morgan putting inappropriate stuff about Clarkson’s underage daughter in the papers at the time.
The show died when the 3 guys finished. End of an era. It's not even running any more as far as I'm concerned because it's barely a shadow of what it was.
There will never be another 3 like them. But. The last 3 weren't awful, but when the cricket player got his face destroyed in a crash, it will never be brought back.
My heart was broken when Jeremy and rest of the guys left top gear, i grow up watching that show, best car/comedy show ever. Chemistry between them was something special, and not something you can scripted or produced
The producer that got slapped, not punched btw, is Oisin Tymon. Anyone that’s been around this guy knows he’s a complete arrogant jerk that enjoys simply causing conflict so he can be at the center of attention. He’s the guy they should have fired before it ever reached that point. The only reason he even got the job at the BBC to begin with is because his rich daddy knew someone at the station in order to pull strings. Insult to injury, he had the nerve to extort 100k out of the BBC after completely ruining one of the greatest shows in television history, when he’s the one that repeatedly and deliberately antagonized Clarkson on numerous occasions. He’s like the guy that antagonized Tyson on the flight to get him to punch him so he could sue him for a big payout afterwards.
True. But can you imagine the trio and Wilman trying to make that show on the ultra woke BBC these days? Admittedly, their flair didn't really translate over to Grand Tour either. They were hamstrung legally for the first couple of seasons. Season 3 was probably the best and the specials have left a lot to be desired but, still better than Top Gear after they left.
Jeremy got fired because the BBC couldn’t stand that Clarkson being so much out of their control. Because Top Gear was pretty much more popular than the whole bbc put together. And when Clarkson and Wilman sold the rights completely, BBC sought any excuse to get rid of Clarkson. Because they were arrogant enough to think the show would continue without him
Andy Wilman is an amazing producer, he’s one of those people that notices absolutely everything. Jeremy himself is no slouch on the production side of things either. He had a big hand in editing and refining the end result. He’s also a remarkably nice chap, which a few people struggle to believe. Don’t confuse people’s TV persona with actual personality.
I think the BBC thought they could get Jeremy out and replace him with a new host for a 'modern audience' and that May and Hammond would stick around but it backfired and they sided with the message instead of Top Gear.
the BBC is woke and Clarkson isn't... that was the real problem.. for example every journalist likes to talk about how bad global warming is effecting the world and shout why we need more carbon taxes, where as Clarkson will go on a car trip to these 3rd world countries and show us the ppl living there and how these new carbon taxes will do nothing but keep them poor... fun fact before Top Gear drove to the north pole most ppl thought that most of the norther ice cap was gone to the point where it was a small island a little bigger than a few cargo ships and here came along Clarkson and May in a red Toyota spending days driving to the North Pole... that alone made alot of ppl question the whole global warming theory, after that point the "climate change theory" became more popular...

When he arrived at the place he was going to stay over at they informed him that they didn’t do food. Clarkson told the producer he wanted a hot meal for when they got back to the hotel late at night, only to be met with a buffet, sandwiches etc, that's when he lost his shit and give the producer a busted lip, he also told people not to abuse the producer who was just doing his job
there was more to it, this guy obviously wasn't easy to get on with, Jeremy and the crew had been shooting outside in the cold for 14 hours and though papers make it look as if it was about him, the reality was he thought the guy in charge of food should've looked after the crew. hence why most of the crew left their jobs at the bbc to go to amazon with him.

The guy repeatedly and deliberately antagonized not just Clarkson but several people on set and off set on multiple occasions. He had a history of it even before his rich dad got him that job at the BBC.
Lol you wouldnt get arrested for punching a producer and even if you did Canadas laws and cops are a joke , i live in Niagara falls Canada and a cop shot another cop over a bathroom break after haveing to keep a raod closed for hrs ,,,That cop never got charged or lost his job 6 SHOTS INTO ANOTHER OFFICER regardless of the victem cop wearing a bulletproof vest , this cop should have been put in jail ,,,so dude saying he worried about going to jail in Canada , it wont happen ......CANADA IS A JOKE born and bread here and trust me c4ime is rampid here and they let crimanls run loose the day after there charged ..come on over its not even Canada anymore , its the new India ......
The most telling about Jeremy has been said by James May : he's fun to work with, but a pain to be around I've heard Clarkson say enough stuff that gave me murderous urges. "Comedy" is no excuse for being a jerk
@xNSHD Well actually for me season 1 felt too scripted at times but in season 2 and 3 they addressed that and toned it down and the specials have basically gone back to their original roots.
@@JJJackson777 The most recent one was just okay. After watching it, it occurred to me that maybe they were out of ideas and the whole thing has gone stale. One more to go, hope it is great. Yes, GT has seemed very tightly scripted with all the tricks and gags planned in advance. They definitely have become far more unlikely to offend anyone. Today they would not write, 'All Adders are Puffs" on a car. Been watching the old seasons and they were brilliant when they were jamming a big middle finger (or two fingers, in their case) to the preposterous fools running the BBC and the UK. Do not want to see it end, but maybe something new.
I like Jeremy but he absolutely should have been fired. It might be hard for some to understand, but in the world of peasants, if we punch someone we work with, we lose our job.
He wanted the produce to cook him something hot at 1 00 am in morning when the kitchen was closed He was 🥃🥃🍸🍸🍸🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 And I was some spicy things said When the producer said no Don't you know who and lots of other other spicy things
I don't understand how anyone can defend Jeremy Clarkson. He punched another person in a professional setting for not bringing him a hot meal. That is the height of privilege and shows how terrible a person he is. If you miss the old top gear, you have only Jeremy Clarkson to blame

Can’t imagine clsrkson punching anyone , he is literally like mr soft 😂
I can imagine him throwing the punch then falling over as he loses balance 😅
Clarkson is soft? Not a bit he's a big hard bastard I'd say
I could’ve told you that.
None of this 'producer being a dick' was mentioned at the time. Makes more sense now.
I lost one of my favorite shows because of a dict producer?
Oisin should pay Ratso immediately
I didnt like Clarkson, then he punched Piers Morgan. Now i like him a lot.
RIP Joe rogan
Not gonna lie Top gears was going to crap their last 4 seasons. 😂😂
The most telling about Jeremy has been said by James May : he's fun to work with, but a pain to be around
I've heard Clarkson say enough stuff that gave me murderous urges. "Comedy" is no excuse for being a jerk
smart dude
British intelligence
Jezza for PM
BBC film crews being dicks. Shocker...
The trio and Wilman were really what made the show. That sadly hasn't translated so well to Grand Tour but.
U don't like the grand tour?
its the same basically just leans more heavy on the script but later top gear with the 3 of them did that aswell.
Carnage a Trois, Seamen, The Mongolia Special & Lochdown all felt like classic TG to me
@xNSHD Well actually for me season 1 felt too scripted at times but in season 2 and 3 they addressed that and toned it down and the specials have basically gone back to their original roots.
He punched him because they had put shitty sandwiches on instead of hot food and jeremy was pissed off this guy is talking utter shit
Get jezza on the show
I like Jeremy but he absolutely should have been fired. It might be hard for some to understand, but in the world of peasants, if we punch someone we work with, we lose our job.
Clarkson!!! 👊👊👊💥💥💥🤣🤣🤣
He wanted the produce to cook him something hot at 1 00 am in morning when the kitchen was closed
He was 🥃🥃🍸🍸🍸🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
And I was some spicy things said
When the producer said no
Don't you know who and lots of other other spicy things
I don't understand how anyone can defend Jeremy Clarkson. He punched another person in a professional setting for not bringing him a hot meal. That is the height of privilege and shows how terrible a person he is. If you miss the old top gear, you have only Jeremy Clarkson to blame
🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴👍
This happened nearly 10 years ago nobody cares anymore
That producer ruined top gear fr
slapped not punched
Producers name~ Tymon Oison
the balding one who kind of looks like karl pilkington if youre a topgear / ricky gervaise fan
Guy he punched was a woke boy who cried
Seems like these producers are the problems
lol wasn't the producer piers Morgan
Top Gear went downhill rapidly after jezza, capt slow and hamster left
So he knows nothing about it 😏
