I love your videos and content Dean and hope you keep going, don’t know why you struggling to get the views you deserve. At the end of the day do what is best for you and your family but you will be missed if you go ❤
I agree Snape would be the best replacement the Death Eaters had, but I doubt Snape would be able to control Bellatrix. She would either search for her beloved master on her own (probably taking the group that attackedd the Longbottoms with her) or fight Snape for control of the Death Eaters splitting and weakening the group.
I believe that it was only after Voldemort returning to his body in gof that Snape got such a high rank with him. Voldemort would have been immensely impressed by Snape staying loyal for all these years (or so he thought) and I think Snape's level of power grew a lot in this time period. Before Voldemorts first downfall Snape was merely 20 years old so he didn't have the time to be so knowledgeable as to be a real asset. Don't get me wrong, he was already really useful but not on a level where he could give advice to Voldemort.
He was willing to let voldmort kill baby Harry and James if it meant lily would be safe he didn't think how she would feel if her husband and baby were dead
There are many other things to hate HBP. But this aint one. Do you think Voldemort would've left a boy who was destined to kill him eventually. Or was he considerate enough for people's lives? Snape surely got the best deal out of Voldemort
What if the Lucius and the Malfoys were double agents with Snape (Not saying they aren’t snobs or anything but they are really looking out for their family and themselves and playing both sides help benefit them the greatest)
I think that had Snape didn't switch sides, he would probably take advantage the fact that the dark lord fell for starting an organization of his own similar to the DE. He could have been an excellent next big bad but thankfully no matter how selfish the reason was he switched sides. You have a small mistake on the four who attacked the Longbottoms- You said Antonin Dolohov was there when as you know it was Barty Crouch Jr. a no less maniac.
Snape was a genius, the best at potions and occlumeny likely in the magical world. However he simply wasn’t as magically gifted as the top 3, no matter how long he lived he wouldn’t have reached that level.
Going by your logic, if Voldemort learned of the prophecy from Wormtail, I don't see how he would have had his first downfall. Snape would've been okay with Lily being dead, so Voldemort would never have given her the opportunity to sacrifice herself.
Did you forget the part of the story, where Snape love Lilly and never wanted her dead, that he only became a Death Eater because of his Rivalry with James Potter and wanted him dead? Just a reminder.
If i was a Wizard, and technically i am, lol, i would seriously work on becoming more powerful than Voldemort. Firstly, i would find out what he, or Dumbledore did differently than everyone else. First off.....they were both rather smart, and kinda a natural at magic even without their wands. Kinda like the equivalent of a Human with good genetics. Gains are easier, especially if you are smart and learn as much as you can.
@@iamwhoiam7887 ofcourse i did bro, atleast 8-9 times😂. well that can be said for you, me and everyone. We will all 'live on' in our loved ones memories.
I think Snape was just too wrapped up in his own EMO-ness to ever measure up to "The Three". If I had to pick a replacement I'd say Harry...since he was the only other to have possessed the Master Wand. Even if he was stupid and tossed it away. lol
I was thinking about that. Its depends on the nature of the magic here. But i think Voldemort wasnt the most powerful, but enough crazy to think about it. He manipulated the whole wizarding world into fear. Except Dumbledore and Snape. He wasnt Scary becouse of his power. He learnt some tricks and spells. He was powerfull becouse of the death eaters, and the scared wizards. Exactley like irl when you learn about tyrants.
As complicated as Snape is (Will Snape be up to the task?) the answer would be a yes and (Would he do it?) the answer would be a maybe; but that would only be possible for him if he was not "tied up" between spying for Dumbledore while keeping up with the face of loyalty in the presence of Voldemort and his fellow Deatheaters. If he did not have love keeping him from losing himself to the dark acts of Voldemort; there could be some break for him to turn on Voldemort if Snape knew about Riddle's horcruxes; so the real question is: Would Snape have the chance to wrest power and control from Voldemort? The answer is NO; The reason why Snape would never have the chance to replace Voldemort as the new Dark Lord is : 1. Voldemort does not trust his followers enough about the secret to why he cannot die and 2. The other Deatheaters would get a sense that there might be something off about Snape regardless of Occlumency{as implied in the prologue of HP and the H-BP book and film} and 3. if he begins his loyalty with Dumbledore before any talk of the Potter prophecy ever began, Snape would have no access to the Deatheaters despite the Horcrux information; he would have been killed on the spot before he could open his mouth to explain his change for loyalty since he would be the most dangerous out of the rest of the Phoenix members to be left alive.
To much of a reach. Now if Harry had gone bad after possessing the elder wand, cloak and the stone, he would have made voldemort his servant. But this is madness, enjoy the books/movies for what they are.
People try defend snape knowin he was a death eater and was happy for vordamort to kill james and baby harry as long as vordamort spared lily and he actually was involved with killing and torturing of the other wizard and witches and muggles
If you take the books version into account, Harry wasn’t named. In fact Dumbledore even points out in book 5 that it very easily could have been Nevill that ended up being Voldamort’s counterpart. Snape never would have been ok with Lily dying, because he even told Voldamort to spare her. He was ok with Harry and James dying however. Lily’s death is what broke him, even though she turned away from him because of his love of the dark arts, and wanting to join Voldamort. RIP Alan Rickman 😢
@@brentlionakaboldchamp ofcourse it wasn't fair! The unfairness started when he was 1 year old. Then a 70 years old man used all of his resources to kill him, a boy on his teens. He would've became just as or more than likely more powerful. Snape died at 38. Voldemort was in his 70s and Dumbledore in his 100s. Snape was that powerful already at a meager 38. SMH Someone in their 50s would look at a 38 year old as little to them

Don't know why. But you can try using different kinds of thumbnails, like a bit brighter and cartoonish!
Please don't stop, Dean. I'm 31, and I think your channel is great. I listen to every video and learn new stuff through them. Please don't give up

One idea I had: What if in OOTP Petunia let slip that it was Snape who told her and Lily about dementors?
I always imagined Lucius becoming a dark lord himself, since he has the reputation, influences, resources, and money to do so.
Wasn't more powerful than Snape and his ego clouds his judgement
@@hardy2k11 Well, in terms of ego at least, he sounds just like Grindelwald and Voldemort, lol.

Where do the clips not from the WB films come from?

7:13 *Barty Crouch Jr.
In the case of Lucius Malfoy; all he did as a Deatheater was torcher muggles and muggleborns.
Also when talking about or thinking of the most powerful wizard to ever live I think of Merlin

Snape
Minerva

Kingsley

Lily Potter
