Singaporeans must be so triggered and jealous, coz they always badmouth and made fun of Malaysia as being inferior to them. I'm seeing more and more foreigners/tourists/youtubers/tiktokers saying they prefer Malaysia over Singapore after they experience both Singapore and Malaysia - the vibe is just more chilled, people aren't so uptight, stress, and the diverse cultures and delicious foods makes it better, to topped it all, it is very cheap yet modern city, especially if you come from countries with bigger currencies, bang for your buck in every way. KL has improved lots to me in last 5 years, to be 1 of the most fun and top 10 visited city in the world. So many things to do, parks, jungle walk, skyscrapers, river walk, night light fountain, theme parks, zoo, delicious street foods, cheap high class restaurants and hotels.

pakistanis have been here in malaysia since i was a kid, i'm 56 now, those times they were known mostly trading fabric/clothes from house to house, of course they had shops too. i'm from sarawak, borneo part of malaysia. thank you for supporting palestine.
Everyday raining indeed, i never been anywhere yet where it rains so much as here. But luckily it usually rains for a hour or two and then it just stops😅
Nice people and affordable city. Connected public transportation system and high speed internet. Diverse selection of food. Major drawback is the heat and humidity. Great place if you love spicy food.
I think heat is good actually here, to me its not too hot. I was in Thailand for 2 months before KL and it was for sure more hot there. KL temperature is absolutely perfect in my opinion, for sure its on the hotter side, but if you can tolerate slightly warmer then i feel its hard to get better than this. But my experience is from KL mainly, other states may be different😅
@@Gymson I walk at night in Melaka and my underware is wet from sweat. 1. Turkey is cheap with european atmosphere. Never knew I could get bored eating the same continental hotel breakfast after few days. 2. Dubai is expensive. I took several pics near the beach before I had to run inside the mall. I'm not exaggerating when I said run because I literally run. 4. Korea is cold and I don't remember about my expense in Korea. I think the cost is on par with Dubai. We learned from our mistake in Turkey and instead of hotel we book for airbnb because we need the washing machine and microwave. Korea and Turkey is two place where I could walk for hours without sweating. 5. Could not remember much about Thailand. I went there probably around 2010 or earlier. I remember it's cheap and I was having dinner and I fed sugar cane to elephant on a side road. Nuts! 6. Never had a chance to visit Singapore. I only know it's expensive and similar climate with Malaysia and Thailand. Not in my bucket list either.

Just a little info, the KLCC area before redevelopment that started in early 1993, was a turf club, a horse racing course. The park itself was a design by a famous Brazilian artist, the late Roberto Burle Marx.

Being able to lean over the glass makes it scarier. Strangely...sock feet also makes this scarier for me 😅. We were in the Lotte tower in Seoul on the glass floor and I didn't feel scared. The socks threw me off, I dunno why 😅 Thanks for this video! It was so informative. My husband and I are taking the kids to KL for Christmas and we've never been. We're very excited!!

Hey Doug ☃️ welcome to Malaysia ! Awesome video and feel great that you do find Malaysia is nice country to visit. But I do suggest you could stay more days To visit other states in malaysia. Highly recomend you check out Ipoh Melaka and penang. Nevertheless we also have beautiful island around , one of it will be the redang island. In KL you can eat anywhere if you don't mind. But if you want the good ones, you have to be selective. But the usual indication is where locals go, that's the place. Welcome to Malaysia and thanks for coming to KL and not straight to.. well.. Penang. The 1st noodle, perhaps kolo mee, thats pork ball.
first time on your channel, and im subscribing you as you are different from the typical travel vlogger, you articulate very well, and you speak like a typical lecturer, in a good way. :)
Iam now in KL! We Visit KL since 2015 twice a year! A lot has changed after Covid. Not in a good way. Hotels are suffering, residences are suffering, people are suffering, the value suffers. We stay now in a 5 star Residence with the kids and people try their best but you can see the fall of Kuala Lumpur. Once’s I saw many tourists from all around the world. Now its so sad to see this. Yes the malls are still full but it’s window shopping. Restaurants are empty. Let’s say this Malaysia need to change. Malaysia need more upper class tourist not backpackers who spent 10RM on a plate of noodles. Upper class tourist will choose for Bali, Phuket, Dubai, Zanzibar, or stay in Europe. Now I see a lot of Backpackers, and yes also Russian because they are not welcome in the EU ofcourse 😅 I think Msia should invest in people who comes to spend money! Now investors leave the country. I love Msia and Kuala Lumpur. But it’s not the same anymore. That’s sad to see. Covid has changed a lot
Malaysia is having good recovery, so many content creators here right now I feel. So many videos are being made about Malaysia, i think its gonna send a lot of tourist exploring Malaysia in upcoming years. And most people ive met here really love it, so they will come back to 🇲🇾
Malaysia is a very welcoming country that received 26 million visitors last year, regardless of socio-economic background, nationalities. People from various socio-economic backgrounds visit, unlike those who obsess over money and materialism like you.
Last time Iwas there at bukit nenas in 2017' I think & that time its free. From the bridge you can see the city without tree branch block the view. Now tree little bit higher. Last year I go to kl tower & can still see my home at Gombak like the first year when I was there
Malaysia is had a humid and dry climate throughout the year. Rain season start at the end of year, so I highly advice you to prepare umbrella or raincoat.
I dont know what to say. I am proud of my country regardless what other people said. SAYA ANAK MALAYSIA. AND WELCOME TO 2024 ! (I just watched this xD)
Welcome to KL, Malaysia. 2:21 Interestingly that looks very much like the Sarawak's signature comfort food - the kolo mi. Do plan to visit Malaysian Borneo States of Sabah and/or Sarawak?
I’m kind like enjoying your tour since you’re very knowledgeable towards the places you explore. But sadly you stay for short of period of time. You should stay longer
16:27 I can't do this sht. I mean I was up on Petronas Twin Towers skybridge, the bridge is quite wide and the floor wasn't transparent and I still struggled to cross the bridge. Like I was sweating, holding on to my girlfriend and sht like a little btch. It really challenged my "masculine pride" haha😂😂😂. I'm a local btw so welcome to Malaysia "truly Asia"

Thanks for sharing my beautiful city Kuala Lumpur. I hope you enjoyed the Sarawak Kolo Mee.
pakistanis have been here in malaysia since i was a kid, i'm 56 now, those times they were known mostly trading fabric/clothes from house to house, of course they had shops too. i'm from sarawak, borneo part of malaysia. thank you for supporting palestine.
Hey Doug, you should visit Malaysia when the sky is clearer. Right now we are in the monsoon season so pretty cloudy most of time.
Everyday raining indeed, i never been anywhere yet where it rains so much as here. But luckily it usually rains for a hour or two and then it just stops😅
Malaysia is actually amazing 🇲🇾
💯🇲🇾 we share same opinions 😁such a awesome place
Great intro to the city, Doug! Loved the relaxing drone shots - a perfect Where's Wally/Waldo perspective to the friendly teeming metropolis.
Drone shots were amazing, made me think about getting a drone aswell. Definitely adds to the video. 👍🏻
@@GymsonHere in Ipoh,Perak its too Hot but some times its so Rainy. Thats why i like to Travel in Ipoh at Morning or Night
Explore each city from north to south, east coast to west coast, im pretty sure you will love Malaysia more rather than city exploring and also not to forget Borneo SABAH & SARAWAK ❤
COMPLETE 🇲🇾 💯
I am commenting because you had kolo mee for breakfast. Tht is actually Sarawak,Borneo island fav noodle❤❤😊🎉🎉
it was awesome!!!
6:03 Best compliment I've heard about Malaysia.
First time seeing channel with amazing drone footage, and loving that you like it travel in Malaysia. Done like and sub 👍
Yeah that drone footage was just like cherry on top😁💯

You come to Malaysia, I am very excited. I live in Thailand in Bangkok, but where my mother lives and I grew up is Pattani province in Thailand. It's close to Malaysia.# Take care of yourself, travel safely and have fun.😊

What are you favourite places to visit in 🇲🇾?
welcome sir👍😁🇲🇾🇺🇸🇮🇶🇵🇸❤
Thanks for such an interesting video😊👍👍
Thank you for your wonderful sharing Doug. So envious to see you enjoying nice Malaysian food that i missed so much. I was in Langkawi 3 weeks ago, disappointed i could not get the food i used to eat except Muslim cuisine. Glad to see you like Malaysia, have a great time there and Merry Christmas to you 🎄🎅👍 Hello from Australia
Wow, how was Langkawi? Do you recommend that for scenery😊
@@GymsonScenery of Langkawi is beautiful, but town and villages still look underdeveloped. Hard to get good Chinese food.
@@piaklim3420 Oh I see, sounds good still👍🏻 thank you
Doug, Welcome to KL, Malaysia. Thank you for this wonderful video. I hope that you will enjoy your stay and have a good time, here in Malaysia. Subscribed.
Just a little info, the KLCC area before redevelopment that started in early 1993, was a turf club, a horse racing course. The park itself was a design by a famous Brazilian artist, the late Roberto Burle Marx.
20:16, you are probably right, KL is better than Singapore, by cost of living and affordability, KL is definitely one of the best cities in the world.
thank you very much!!
@@doug_barnard 😀
i am a subscriber when the second u mentioned you like KL more than Singapore!!!!
visiting genting highland is a must if you are visiting malaysia too
Ive heard it so many times, this place must be really good👍🏻👍🏻
As a Malaysian, i would like to say 'Welcome to Malaysia!'
Hope you enjoy it & happy travelling 😊🤗😁
So awesome to see how warmly Malaysian people welcome travellers, 🇲🇾 will be one of the top tourist countries of 2024 for sure.
@@Gymson I'm glad to see travellers come and visit our country😊😍. By the way done following you! 🤗🤗

hye im from malaysia currently working in saudi since 2016...ive been follow u since u came here in saudi n i even saw u at nakheel mall...hope u enjoy my country
Being able to lean over the glass makes it scarier. Strangely...sock feet also makes this scarier for me 😅. We were in the Lotte tower in Seoul on the glass floor and I didn't feel scared. The socks threw me off, I dunno why 😅
Thanks for this video! It was so informative. My husband and I are taking the kids to KL for Christmas and we've never been. We're very excited!!
Oh hell NO, no glass floors for me! You make me dizzy Doug! Love the Pakistanis too, as well as the Iraqis and Saudis!
Thanks for sharing my country and my beautiful city - KL to the world..❤❤
Mantap..❤
love you brothar❤❤❤
Loved the video, immediately made us nostalgic for Malaysia 😍 (especially for the people & food).
Curious how you were able to fly your drone so high in this video. Shots were unreal btw!
Often I heard tourist mention Thailand island was nice but they should try come Malaysia . Promise we have the same beautiful island as them too
❤
Thanks for sharing…lovely!!
Heaven if your are earning in USD and spending money here..😊
In KL you can eat anywhere if you don't mind. But if you want the good ones, you have to be selective. But the usual indication is where locals go, that's the place. Welcome to Malaysia and thanks for coming to KL and not straight to.. well.. Penang. The 1st noodle, perhaps kolo mee, thats pork ball.
How long are you going to be in Malaysia.. We will be more than happy to take you around and eat the best food around KL. Love your videos..
Welcome to Malaysia. Hope you'll have a great time here. Do visit Putrajaya - the administrative capital of Malaysia - as well.
The sky box looked scary through a screen! Can't imagine what's it's like IRL
first time on your channel, and im subscribing you as you are different from the typical travel vlogger, you articulate very well, and you speak like a typical lecturer, in a good way. :)
thank you!
And most people ive met here really love it, so they will come back to 🇲🇾
We'll do fine. Don't worry about us.
"Upper class tourists"😂😂😂pull your head out of your arse
Malaysia is a very welcoming country that received 26 million visitors last year, regardless of socio-economic background, nationalities. People from various socio-economic backgrounds visit, unlike those who obsess over money and materialism like you.
We welcome backpackers as well. Those low budget and cheap food stall will surely benefit from them
Amazing video😊 Kuala Lumpur is really a great city!❤
Welcome to Malaysia ! Enjoy your trip here
What are you favourite places to go to in Malaysia 🇲🇾?
Last time Iwas there at bukit nenas in 2017' I think & that time its free. From the bridge you can see the city without tree branch block the view. Now tree little bit higher. Last year I go to kl tower & can still see my home at Gombak like the first year when I was there
Welcome to malaysia🇲🇾❤
🇲🇾♥️
Welcome to Malaysia, enjoy
Malaysia is had a humid and dry climate throughout the year. Rain season start at the end of year, so I highly advice you to prepare umbrella or raincoat.
❤❤❤ welcome 🤗 to Malaysia thanks 🙏💯
The first time I visited Malaysia I had rice as breakfast first time even though we Somali eat rice launch or dinner.
I dont know what to say. I am proud of my country regardless what other people said. SAYA ANAK MALAYSIA. AND WELCOME TO 2024 ! (I just watched this xD)
Hi..welcome to my country.
greeting from Malaysia Johor Bahru city, hope you have a nice trip ya👍
Welcome to KL, Malaysia. 2:21 Interestingly that looks very much like the Sarawak's signature comfort food - the kolo mi. Do plan to visit Malaysian Borneo States of Sabah and/or Sarawak?
It is, that stall mainly sells sarawakian noodles like kolo mi and Sarawak laksa
Selamat datang ke Malaysia Doug
Breakfast you had, it is dry spicy wanton mee with pork char siew, pork mints meat, pork ball. This shop is old famous shop.
Hi doug, pls come again, u are always welcome here.
Malaysia is a true example of multiculturalism.❤️
the merdeka118 is opening sometimes later this month actually
Travel to Iran too, there are places to see and hospitable people. I greet you from beautiful Shiraz
Yup, TRX 106 is the second tallest building in Malaysia after PNB 118.
go to trx mall next
Great video as usual
Nice video 💕💕💕
Enjoy your stay in M'sia brother .
I’m kind like enjoying your tour since you’re very knowledgeable towards the places you explore. But sadly you stay for short of period of time. You should stay longer
Happy Christmas Eve, Doug
Please visit Penang as well 😊
Thanks for the video. Heading back there after ten years to see the new Merdaka building! Was it pretty easy to get drone footage there?
16:27 I can't do this sht. I mean I was up on Petronas Twin Towers skybridge, the bridge is quite wide and the floor wasn't transparent and I still struggled to cross the bridge. Like I was sweating, holding on to my girlfriend and sht like a little btch. It really challenged my "masculine pride" haha😂😂😂. I'm a local btw so welcome to Malaysia "truly Asia"
If I'm not mistaken, this weekend there's an anime convention in kl convention centre. There'll be bunch of cosplays as well
Bro u are supposed to go to mamak stall there where u can have an authentic Malaysian breakfast like Roti Canai , Nasi Lemak & Roti Kaya
If u are still in msia, u should try McDonald prosperity burger where during this time of year mcd will have curly fries.
Hello, I really miss kl in a past few years.
Please can you travel to Iraq again and come to Basra Governorate Love ❤
I love the drone shots. Subsribed!
thanks for your great video!
