Kuala lumpur has everything for me. Great shopping malls, kind people, english speaking, fresh food, warm climate all year around, affordable prices. I’m actualy planing to buy an apartment at KLCC area. I’m a European based in Dubai. All the best in 2024 🎉
Buy in KLCC, In your DREAMS fella. Check with a local realtor to guide you, the capital gains tax when you sell. Not forgetting you will pay Income Tax as you abode is classed a residence for tax purposes. Try MM2H route. Remember Condos deplete your income with high service charges. Selling can be a loss as numerous Condos everywhere in KL/MY.

I'm there since 3 weeks and yeah I'd say it's even better. Hope it remains underrated. What's also cool is you don't really see the sex tourist types here.
It is "cheap" relatively due to exchange rate between USD and ringgit. Secondly salary is low in Malaysia compared to western countries. The same cube hotel in Singapore can get a room in Malaysia
We're currently staying in Bukit Bintang as well. We rented a 2 bedroom (we have 2 kids) and got an incredible price! I found your videos looking for info about KL. It's fun to watch while we are here!
Great and honest explanation of the place. I love your true, genuine reviews and positive attitudes. Keep up the good work! Always looking forward to your upcoming videos Nice to see you enjoying your stay in this beautiful, luxurious but affordable modern apartment with stunning skyline views. ❤️
Yes! We stay at this hotel cum residential end of Nov recently. It only 10 mins walking distance to Bukit Bintang. Affordable place too sharing with friends in group of 3 to 4 person as they also provide extra mattress. Welcome to Malaysia ✌🏻❤️
Thanks for this video. Maybe I missed it but would you mind posting the name of this complex and/or a link to where a room can be booked? Thanks again.
Malaysia isn't comparable with Singapore.. For myself, I try as much as possible not to stay on the island: used to but not anymore, place is crowded, expensive and stuff. Malaisia is more fun and people are friendlier. 😅
My neighbor is an elderly Englishman living on benefits from home, he said it's illegal but he's been here for years and travel to Thailand every three months to renew his tourist visa when entering back after three days there.
both were part of the british overseas colonies around the early 1800s. Both Malaysia and Singapore after gaining independence, maintained many of the systems put in place by the brits.. the system of law, british english and many more. both countries are still part of the British commonwealth today.
Real cool watching this. I will visit KL in the near future. Just wondering what the drone rules are in KL? Were you able to fly around this hotel (and the rest of KL) without any hick-ups?
Watching this, I realized, luxury in Kuala Lumpur is all about finding the hidden gems, embracing the chaos of the city, and laughing your way through the occasional power outage! I could only hope I could get here very soon to film for our TV show episode!
I am going to say, welcome to malaysia. And feel the luxury without the burden of heavy prices. And again you also can find out if it really has occasional power outage
What hidden gems? That's the going price for modern one berdroom. What chaos? Try our LRT, MRT, ERL and monorail. Usually punctual. What power outage? Our electric utility procures German and Japanese equipment. With built-in redundancies.
If you want best prices always go check booking websites and spend atleast 30minutes skimming trough deals to find the best ones. Going by property name may not be best option as they probably dont have promotional prices all the time.
Hi Doug, my Canadian bf will be coming to KL & we would like to book this place u staying sometime in January. Is it possible to get contact or link for us$45 pls? Have we to pay in advance which wud be good if not necessary to pay in advance. Is this booked thru Airbnb? Tq & look forward to your link on how to apply this❤
I'm guessing this is from the perspective of a foreigner that comes from a country with a very high currency value. Because a local would not be able to do this on a whim and we wouldn't call this cheap.
I stayed in Bangkok for 2 months before KL, i would say its very similar actually. Food may be a bit cheaper in Thailand, but to get this kind of apartments I feel you would need to rent one for one month minimum. In Bangkok its not so convenient to rent apartments for short time, as short term apartments are more expensive.
USD45 per night. Hmm. Cheap by European Standards but expensive locally. Average wages USD800 for locals and USD400 if you are Bangladeshi or Nepali. Exploitered and Dishonored.
Travel with me! www.dougbarnardtravel.com/trips
Brov u didn't say the name of the hotel.. I'm travelling to visit my gf in KL i wud like to knw the name of this place
Hi Doug, we have messages you on Instagram

Event i travelled to many countries, i still miss Kuala Lumpur to get back to KL. Miss the food and environment and people of Malaysia. ❤
I love the rain in Kuala Lumpur because it keeps you cool, refreshed, and reduces the environment's humidity.
KL is definitely good value play for travellers who have medium budget. You get really good quality for the price!
KL is so underrated. The city is actually on par for retirees just as Bali and Thailand are.
Can't agree more, this place is really awesome!

Haha, yeah awesome to share as cost will go down greatly like that :) And going for a swim with friends in that nice pool can be fun.
KL has many condos and the best AirBNB even though it is not in the city center
Yeah totally agree, how many apartments are available here is just incredible for travellers who want some luxury and comfort in their lives
Thanks for this video. Maybe I missed it but would you mind posting the name of this complex and/or a link to where a room can be booked? Thanks again.
In 2017, I stayed at the Face Suites in KL for $63/night. They have the best luxury infinity pool in the city.
Wonderful. Thank you for this video. Happy New Year to you.
Wow, the skybridge is on Level 37, just few floors below the skybridge linking the Petronas Twin Towers which is on Level 41 and 42.
Nice content and info about Malaysia..
Drone footage is crisp😁👍🏻
Sweet living space! Can't wait for the unknown adventures here!
Truely is sweet, KL is full of this kind of gems 🎉😁👍🏻
I love you and I am from Iraq. I hope that you will visit us one day, specifically in Baghdad Governorate, Diyala Bridge, and you are welcome.
Great video Doug,I didn't know the Osmo Pocket tracks your movement, thats next level.
Really nice apartment block. Sky bridge is scary
I stayed in Axon before it’s really amazing we love the infinity pool

its great for foreigners to be able to enjoy this but as local its expensive due to our currency and wages...
Well done Dougie. This place looks awesome!
thanks henry!!
@@doug_barnardthank you!
Can I have the name of the place
@doug_barnard
I enjoy watching yr video ❤
such a nice, cool n honest review...
Malaysia as well as Singapore seem to have some sort of British influence while the Philippines is more influenced by USA.
Totally agree, people even have slight british accent and they use words like lorry etc.

Great tourist selfies!
Wonderfull. Doug Banard - nice to see you again😊
Luxury for foreigners. Locals are struggling earning local salaries. 90% cant make ends meet and have no savings
Thank you for visiting Malaysia, the richest country in Southeast Asia...
45$ a night? amazing value for all amenities
This made me miss KL
Malaysia is so underrated
I visit Kuala Lumpur in 2016 it's beautiful country and not expensive

Same here, we think same😃
It will be nice if you give a link to the property thanks
Love from Bangladesh❤️🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
Yes I agree life in Malaysia is really cheap and well-off
But for me as Indonesian (Javanese) it's quite lonely
How's the pollution?
Real cool watching this. I will visit KL in the near future. Just wondering what the drone rules are in KL? Were you able to fly around this hotel (and the rest of KL) without any hick-ups?
To fly drone legally you will.need permit....
Please remember to have a plate of Nasi Lemak before leaving Malaysia!
Welcome to Mlysia sir..have a bice stay..haha
Great video!
Approved! Bum gun in toilet means you at the right location. Welcome to Malaysia.
So, how do I book such a nice place to stay? Any link or name?
Nice, what is this place name though?
Welcome😘
Wow. I like this video
I love your drone shot.
Hi - great video. Can you put a link to the condo Airbnb? Booking ?

Did you get confuse with Philippines ? Power outage? Very very rare
I am going to say, welcome to malaysia. And feel the luxury without the burden of heavy prices. And again you also can find out if it really has occasional power outage
Thats what i always do, trying a lot of different properties to find out which one is best😃👍🏻
What hidden gems? That's the going price for modern one berdroom.

What power outage? Our electric utility procures German and Japanese equipment. With built-in redundancies.
Power outage in Malaysia is very very very rare. Not sure if you got your facts right.
WHY DIDNT MENTIONE THE NAME OF THE HOTLE?
May I know what the hotel name is, please! Thank you so much. Hope you have a nice stay in Malaysia. Selamat datang. 🙏
This is not a hotel, it's a serviced apartment and it's called Axon.
If you want best prices always go check booking websites and spend atleast 30minutes skimming trough deals to find the best ones. Going by property name may not be best option as they probably dont have promotional prices all the time.
Cool,.. Merdeka 118, TRX, Kuala Lumpur Tower and Petronas twin towers are there.. what a view..!
Happy holidays and happy New year 2024 to you.. ❤️🇲🇾

Hey...any links to book a rental. Place looks great and amazing deal
Awesome affordable luxury...
You say a lot we,we have ,we have? Your not alone? 550 subs ,soon you will reach a 1000 subs ! You deserve it
I felt like nothing to new luxury hotel but it’s beautiful and expensive
Sometimes cheaper properties have more heart and cozy home feel, thats my personal opinion.😊👍🏻
Well came to mlysia
Beautiful place. May I know what did you use to book it? Airbnb or booking etc?
Ps: love the hyperlapse and the drone shot finale 👌
Id say use Agoda, thats what ive done myself in Asia and its cheap and easy.
@@Gymson Agoda is great in Asia, saved my ass in Japan once. Thanks
@@Moemuntz Yeah, Agoda and Booking are actually same company, but I think Agoda is slightly cheaper.
@@Moemuntz Lol what happened in Japan? :D
@@Gymson Airbnb disaster, place wasn’t what it seemed. Agoda came clutch with last minute affordable booking. That’s why I asked if this was Airbnb.

What is the name of this serviced apartment? How far is it from a sky train or MRT?
Sleeping lion suites. 2-3 minutes walk to Bukit Bintang MRT Station
Thank you
Why are you not giving the name of the place?
Doug is bangkok more expensive than kl?

what’s the name of this place called, i’ll go there in one month 🎉
What is the place name?
Hi Doug
Wats the name of this serviced apartment?
What's the name of this apartment? Website for booking?
Apa nama building tu eh? Siapa tahu?
KL is not cheap, it is just value for money due to devalued ringgit
Sad case for those who bought this Condominium, rental is way too cheap 😢
❤
1 night? How about a monthly rate
How much would this place cost per month ?
Name of the service apartment pls?
Hello, please, why you used you guys. The word you is good enough.
