    Nice video mate, good analysis! Thanks for the mention too! I remember that day well. Chizzy was totally different in person to how he is in interviews, in interviews he seems painfully shy but he was very chatty and funny actually. He made me laugh when he picked his Target darts off the display stand to have a throw and the first thing he did was take the rings off the stems. He chucked them across the floor and said "I cant stand those things lol!" Then he was showing me footage of him on his phone hitting a golf ball like Happy Gilmour lol! Good guy, I liked meeting him :)

    I really like these videos. I havent played darts in about 5 years now. Used to play in a local soft tip league. Wasn't that good lol. 2.6mpr. Wish your videos were around when I played. Lots of great info here. I still play every now and again but not like I used to. New job and schedule doesn't allow me to play league darts anymore. I really miss it.

    Yep Chizzy is some player . Great vid really lets you see just how simple his throw is & even when he does kick or twitch , his throw remains the same . Good stuff , cheers 👍🎯🎯👍

    One of my favourite players. His throw makes it look so easy. But hey, it works for him, I guess.

    Would you say holding the finger under the point like chizzy is a bad thing for a beginner player, as i do...?

    • @Straightdarts
      @Straightdarts  7 місяців тому

      Yeah, it's easy to push the dart off when you touch the point. :)

      Thanks for the advice,I thought that, I will attempt to move that finger to the side.

    Been trying to get my dart to flick up in the air but no luck. Always flies and lands straight

    • @Straightdarts
      @Straightdarts  Рік тому +2

      Instead of flicking the point you can grip right at the back or even slightly on the shaft the implement a small push on the rear of the barrel on release. It's much easier and works exactly the same. :)

      @karlcardozatv Рік тому

      @@Straightdarts wow thanks for the tip. i usually grip the front of the barrel which I guess is why its not landing up. Thanks for the tip mate

    So do you just take all fingers off of the dart at the release point, is there no forward pushing motion from the fingers ?

    • @Straightdarts
      @Straightdarts  Рік тому +2

      You can either have a push off the fingers or a good flick though with the wrist. Some players do both. :)

      @@Straightdarts Thanks, love the channel btw.
      one last thing, when propelling the dart forward does the wrist flick start at beginning of throw or at the point of set up?
