This is exactly how I throw as it was most comfortable for me. But thought it was wrong and kept trying to change it. Thought I was only to use 3 fingers. Knowing one of the best throws this way also is very encouraging. Am still a noob though 😂
Has anyone else noticed with Jonny's first dart his little finger is slightly open then the next 2 darts it's closed.. Love the channel brother.. Thanks.
Another great analysis video! I wonder if he can't fully extend his arm due to his years of doing plastering work? I hear a few in that game have a kind of locked arm because of it
Prism force intermediate stems. Jonny Clayton hardcore kite flights that's been hole punched. Standed grip ring the the flight. 41mm Winmau Grove points. :)
Also no complete follow through. I tried to change my throw and completely extend my arm but I can't find doubles then. Especially those low on the board. With slightly bend arm I seem to find them more
Everyone seems to confuse the arm extension after the follow though, your probably following, though better with less extention. It's rear but i can happen. I have coached loved like this. 👍 if you watch Barney, Ashton, Priestly, Lowe ect they do the same thing. The extension of the arm helps the follow through for most players, but not everyone.
@@Straightdarts Thanks, indeed my form looks like those players. Another difference is that I point with an extented arm to the board and then I relatively fast move the dart backwards before I throw. Probably because I've been a basketball player. Moving the ball to your setpoint has to be fast because of the defender 😅. Checking out in darts is like shooting a game winner in basketball 😉
1:13 ,,good contact between the first finger and the thumb'' I often hear people say that the thumb should be the first finger on the dart and that the first finger and the thumb should have this connection. I use Mervyn King Darts and my first finger is placed on the rear scallop, whereas my thumb is placed beneath the middle scallop (two more fingers on the front scallop and point). Would this affect my throw negatively? Why should one have this ,,good contact between first finger and thumb!'' ?
Two reasons.. 1. It's 90% of your actual Grip on the dart, the other fingers are stabilisers. 2. You can't more your fingers to push the dart when you thumb is significantly in front of your first finger.
@@klabund1807 I would definitely try to, the grip need to feel natural though. So practice the change, I can help to look at the way others grip and experiment.
Iv notched he has a slightly different grip in some photos, sometimes he is slightly closer to the noise of the dart and sometimes it's more on the side ofnthe point.
He is on the list but I haven't has alot of requests for him. Alot of shots I can't use either due to copyright it can take a while to gather shoots than can be used when altered under fair use.
No, I was supposed to play in a three aside tournament last year with Jim Williams and Lee Williams but Jim got his tour card that week 😄 🤣 he seems a really nice guy though so maybe one day.
@@adobe3910 Glen Durrant, Mark Layton and my team my mate Mark Challenger. You probably haven't heard of Mark but he plays for Wales and he has only averaged under 90 in one county game all year. He has been between an 88av and 102av all year. I play him regularly. He should get a tour card soon.
@@Straightdarts WOW!!! Will keep an eye out for Mark in the future. Mine is Tony West back in 2002 before he became World Master. @@adobe3910 wow Tony was a monster back then. I also forgot to add Jamie Lewis, I used to practice with him in cardigan most years when on holiday in the pub he ran. That was when I was right handed though.
May I suggest a rob cross throw analysis? I really love this series as it has helped me in fixing the fundamentals in my throw.
Well done.
One of my favourite players in the PDC. Always find myself pulling for him.
Beautiful flat flight path - what a throw!

Seems like a real character. :)
Jonny Clayton throw is so awesome to witness!🎯👍😎
Thanks to your short, concise yet brilliant analysis, we can see it more in slow motion.👍
Johnny has easily become one of my favorites. 👍
Another great video! Thanks for posting

Keep 'em coming. After today's result, how about Ross Smith?
What a player! What a video again! Thank you 🙏👏🎯
Another great video buddy love these reviews
Absolutely fantastic player, great video Daniel 👍🏻🎯
He's a lot better than me ! 👍😂
Daryl gurney would be a really good throw analysis his follow through is class great video again mate

Rob Cross throw analysis would be interesting he seems to spend a lot of time wiping his hand!
Great video, anybody know what points / shaft / flight Clayton uses? seem different to what supplied when buy from red dragon?

Nice
I placed the mouse on his elbow and as he pulls back and throw it elevates a fare bit so how that is still I don't see it.
It's still for the end of the drawback to the point of release.

Decent throw to replicate or is it more of a natural throw?
It's can definitely be replicated, the hard part is getting the worst to more so early. You need to be very soft from the arm with loads of flick. :)
Does he always keep that finger under the point?
Iv notched he has a slightly different grip in some photos, sometimes he is slightly closer to the noise of the dart and sometimes it's more on the side ofnthe point.
Hes also gurning too
Local boy to me. Its a shame to his form in the premier league has dropped in the last few weeks.
not a fan of finding clips for a bradley brooks throw video then 😂
