Tabs- here's the insight on the $999 listing and it's kind of a posh hack. Basically the short of it is, if you list any item as multiple (even if you only have one) whatever your listing price was, that's what it shows on your solds page as. Say I list a pair of Levi's for $999 as a multiple and take an offer for $25, it shows as "sold out and sold" for $999. TBH, I used multiple listings a lot so I can accept lower offers on items and have my comps look higher on my personal closet - plus I have a good ol' handful of lookie-loos who track my sales from my personal life. Heh.
@@TabsMcCaffrey it’s not just a live thing, you can make any listing multiple for one item, it just defaults to the one size you have. However more than likely the comps you are seeing for $999 ARE indeed live show posts.
I do wish Poshmark would move to a 3rd party authenticator, I feel like the replicas bring Posh down. In turn, I try to list something like a pair of authentic Farragamo vintage heels and Posh makes me certify they are real- in turn when that happens, I feel like those listings I have to "certify" become throttled by Posh and don't show up in search. Harumph. Posh truly should be ashamed by the sheer volume of fraudulent products they allow to be listed.

That $999 sale is most likely an auctions listed item to run multiple items Because the comps on posh are not accurate. There is a way to have sold items apart to the price you want to be displayed.

I dropped a couple packages at Stallion today. He said that you have to create a ‘batch label’ to submit with your packages (as opposed to just dropping them on the table). The batch label will make it easier for them to scan. 😊
So the about the 999 value. It happens when sellers list items for 999. Like a bulk list. So when they send offers for that item. Let’s say they send a $50 offer, if it sells at $50 it shows as sold for 999 but their earnings is $40. I don’t know if it makes sense. I personally have bulk listed items for $50 and they sell for way less than $50. But if you check the sold listings it says sold for $50

Curious what the issue is with stallion express. I never got a notification regarding pre-approval for posh items and I just sent off a few packages to them this week via UPS for the first time. Fingers crossed there aren’t any issues🤞🏻
Ya I saw there was a notification that went out the ppl needed approval when signing up to ship third party labels. Maybe it’s not an issue, maybe give them a call and check it’s all good
I was wondering about this myself. When I was getting myself setup with Stallion back in the summer, I had someone at Stallion on the phone walking me through the process. There wasn't a mention of pre-approval for prepaid labels from Poshmark, I didn't have to get pre-approval, and I don't have a notification either. I can't find anything on their website either. Hopefully nothing changes (fingers crossed!).
I think even new items in regular stores are worth to think about Why it is so cheap. Not All of them are problematic. There are incentives. Human traffic still going on. Working conditions of factories still a big issue in many places. Counterfeit goods are one of the things involved in that too. However, there are somethings out there thrifting that I find hard to tell. You really have to know details. A lot research.
I have watched your previous video about brands you don't pick up. In my experience selling in Ontario Banana Republic is a great brand to pick up especially costs, sweaters, and blazers. They sell quick for good profit. But I will never pick up calvin klein, michael kors, and tommy hilfiger for free.
Again as a buyer, I have gone into many closets and there will be a comment on an item from nine months ago or three weeks ago where potential customer is asking a question about the item, but they never get an answer so they just move on. they’re losing sales by not replying to the comments.

But, I’ve also seen show listings at ridiculously high prices bc if it’s multiple quantities, the sold price will be at listing. They just use that one listing and sometimes it’s of an actual item they sold for some reason rather than a general type listing. I use multiple quantity on most of my live show listings even though I sell mostly one of a kind in an effort not to bring down the market on myself and others. 😅 As far as the counterfeit stuff, anything you suspect is fake, you can return on Poshmark and Mercari. Which is good, but those that know abuse it. They might as well just allow returns without opening cases bc it hurts you with the algorithm for 30 days a posh supervisor told me, which I responded that I get at least 1 every month I would say at this point selling jewelry. 😂

If someone asks me nicely about a return for any reason, I usually will approve or work something out. I had a crazy return something last quarter and she put an open baggie with a white substance in the package that gave me a reaction. I think she put her recreational baggie instead of the chain baggie. I reported to authorities and everything thinking I might die. 🤣 She was really mean and crazy. 🙃 Posh gave me a meager $15 credit after telling them they should at least suspend her account or something. I told them to keep it, yet it’s sitting in my account months later. I’ll have to shop your US closet sometime. Take care!

I found near-exact same Lululemon belt bags at Walmart! The details were different of course, like no logo, and the zipper pull. But anyone not looking for those details would have no idea. I also found a US based website that sells Lululemon dupes, and this site uses Lulu’s logo and everything else right down to item descriptions. How can they not be sued is a wonder to me but maybe with so many reselling websites, dupe sites it’s impossible to control.

Obviously I never put my listing price at a ridiculous price like $999. My unlisted posh live selling listing that is multiple is $99.

I had a bad experience with Vinted. Wasn’t happy with them. I left. Now that they are closing I don’t think they will be missed at least not by me.
