Yes your right. If anyone can hear that exhaust like I can it's not breathing very well. Might have a slight miss fire. All my time I have never seen anyone beat anything Shelby has built. I do like the Dodge cause it reminds me of a blow up Ranger.

That tuned Eco-boost was damn impressive. That thing’s definitely a sleeper truck. You could probably upset a lot of people at red lights with that beast 👍 Awesome video.
I just bought one a few days ago always had a V8 I can't believe the power I would prefer this over any V8 alone before 5.3 and 5.7 also 5.7 Hemi I feel like this would eat them all day

There's a 4door whippled f150 screw on FB for sale in my town. Guy claims it did 700hp but tuned down for 630.
Im not sure what a 3.5 long block costs but the gen 3 coyote is 8k on the low end if the motor blows.

I’m surprised how close the stock Raptor was to the tuned regular ecoboost actually impressed me b/c a tune on those EB motors REALLY wakes em up, a tuned Raptor would be very close to the stock TRX, the heavier/bigger tires hurt em both, but the short gearing & 4.10s help a lot off the line

I feel like that Shelby is not putting out 750 before tune that is supposedly tuned. I think the guys at 5 star will be going back to SC to figure out what is happening
Remember, torque wins short races, not HP. The Shelby would destroy everything except maybe the TRX in longer runs and top speed. Gearing and aero might make it lose to the TRX there too but that’s the real race. Plenty on cars can 60’ much quicker cars.
No the TRX is just quick they just did a 4.5 in high altitude that's def near a 3.5 at sea level no Shelby or ford is hitting mid 3s but the gt500 700 hp or not

Coyote is where its at something was wrong here. Either way I would save the money on all them truck and build a a coyote f150. You can make 1000-1100hp all day with turbos or a supercharger and run 8s-9s in the 1/4 mile and do a off-road or street suspension and still have stacks and stacks in my pocket. Ask most mechanics the coyote is one of the best motors in the world right now. Stock bottom end can handle 1100hp to do even close to that with a TRX you would need a full engine rebuild. I lost all respect for them and 5star. A tuned pulley swap on a supersnake can push them to 800-900 to the wheels. I have 2 hellcat engines apart right now one was babied I know but both blew up at 75k and both blew again around 150k miles. The babies one has a twisted shattered rod and a hole in the block and the other has the worst spun bearings Ive ever seen. I like them but they are not the best. Coyotes are now one of the best go to for swaps now. You hear people swapping LS and coyotes all day every day. But no one swaps hellcat engines except dodge tossing them in heavy cars.

Yeah I lost respect for them and 5star you have a weight advantage in the Shelby and more ho stock. 0-60 of a Shelby is 3.5 to 4.0 stock even they did a tuned f150 eco boost and it did 4.3 seconds on the old one. That was awesome! I do think something is definitely not right with the Shelby though. There is no way a 750hp, tuned, supercharged Cayote should be running that slow even at elevation. Hope to see a follow-up at some point. Keep 'em coming TFL crew!

I was on Ford's website trying to configure a truck with the new hybrid powertrain. They don't offer it on any trim levels except for the Super Crew cab. Is this a mistake with the website or something else? I thought the hybrid would be available in any configuration.

Sealof TheLiving no something is definitely off with the car. Is basically making stock power for the 5.0L like the tune has to be awful. It’s like it’s on a stock tune, because the blower is spinning up and forcing air into the motor, yet the motor isn’t taking advantage of that extra air. Chances are the tune is mixing enough fuel for the air fuel ratio to make the most power. Resulting in to much air to little fuel putting the car in limp mode. I have a 20 f150 ecoboost 3.5 with k&n intake and rough country 3" lift with Cooper 34" All Terrain and the truck rides like a comfortable rocket. Great video

Great video... but I'm confused. On the one hand, a 6.2l SC is expected to beat a 5.0l SC, but on the other, 750hp should beat 702hp. I wish y'all had suggested a reason why the lower powered truck won this contest. Did the TRX benefit from having manufacturer tweak the entire frame design to handle the additional hop while the Shelby could only bolt-on any frame enhancements? I do love that you got your hands on the Shelby F-150. And props to Shelby for using the same stripe design on the truck as we see on the Cobra roadsters. Another great video, fellas!

That Shelby wasn't running to its full power. I own a TRX only cause I love Dodges but I can't beat any Shelbys at a drag strip unless they make a mistake then I will win. It is a very very close race though I am right at those Shelby front doors at the 1/4 mile line every time. I also hate Ford's but I don't make excuses or be bias. Maybe that's what I learned off demonology cause he's same way. His whole aftermarket Challenger got walked by a stock gt500. He posts video's he might even have me in a few.

A supercharger will absolutely give the 5.0 750hp it's been proven elsewhere. Any 5.0 Coyote regardless of generation. Over on AutoVlog channel Mike had a 2015 5.0 that also made 750hp with just a Whipple supercharger.
The 1999 Cobra was supposed to make 320 hp not 305.

I had a Titan back in 2005, before the Tundra, big Ford and Chevy 6.2 liters. It was a fast truck at the time, would run low 8 second 0-60s or even high 7s. Now even a stock Ecoboost is like a dang rocket ship.

Clearly the best value is getting the five star tune on the normal 3.5l. you know, for those of us that can't afford an $80k truck.
To me that’s the point. With just a $700 tune the eco boost gave the trx a run. Another $2-3000 and eco boost would take the trx. And still come in considerably less in price than the trx.
Every ecoboost guy I ever met always talks about how fast their truck can be with a tune but they never do it.
I agree with everyone saying that the Shelby seemed off. But you also have to remember that in that year they had 6 speed transmissions not the newer 10 speeds which seems extremely slow compared to the 10 speed ecoboost and 8 speed TRX. Still didn’t do Shelby justice but definitely my first thought was the difference in transmissions

Man, for the F-150 EcoBoost to stay in 1st Place up against the TRX for about 4-5 seconds the moment they started the race is still impressive, even if it did lose at the end.
These trucks are beating sports car and super car 0-60 times from the 90s and early 00s. That’s insane.

Only reason why that 3.5L Ford V6 is same motor in the Ford Gt. So it can go way way faster if anyone wanted it to. Shelby isn't breathing well at all. Has a clog or a miss fire.
