what an incredible shot of the rescue 1 crew walking through the smoke. never enough admiration for what these guys do
Thanks for watching
"Gods of the fireground" came to mind...
Was thinking the same thing! Precisely @ 07:00
yeah soooooooooooooooooooo
The greatest part is rescue rollin up hot. Nothin but salt comin off that rig walkin up all casual. Just another job!
I guess every major incident rescue 1 rolls up on downtown Manhattan they are treated like Hollywood celebrities when they embark off apparatus 🎥📸📷🌟
Would never park the rig in the smoke...
Skyler as always great catch seeing all the apparatus go into operation hooking and opening up!!!
Thanks for watching
Dinkel still with Rescue 1! He was the man over the ledge on that high angle rescue a few years ago. Cool to see him again.
He recently retired couple months ago
Great video! Good coverage of alot of good truck work. Love the hustle on the Engine 8 chauffeur. That's getting it done
Yes for sure!
Crooks may get away from the NYPD, but fires don’t stand a chance against the FDNY. Great video Skyler
Hahahaha
great catch Skyler stay hydrated
Skyler and FDNY gettin' it done! Great video; love watching the members getting there, setting up, pulling lines - shows the amount of work necessary to fight a fire. And you're right there to capture it all. Thank you for the great work!
I love how RESCUE 1 just start CUTTING it up like "EXCUSE ME! EXCUUUUSE ME!! Nah man, no permission needed here..... this is what we do bro!". LMAO
Love the shot of Rescue 1 coming in one of my fave companys, Great video as always Skyler !
Thanks
@@SkylerFire your very welcome keep em coming!
Love the shot of RS1 rolling up!
Thanks
Nice On-Scene/Incident footages there Skyler, liked and shared 🧑🏻👍🏻🔥🚒
Excellent coverage. Thanks Skyler.
Thanks
great.fantastic video coverage as always
Thanks
Skyler I think sometimes you and JJ eat more smoke than the pros do (they’ve got air packs).
Hahaha
Really great video and commentary!
Thanks
amazing videoon the high rise fire awome job to all the fdny brother for a great job nice work skyler
Thanks for watching
Man, I swear I could smell that smoke just sitting here watching on my PC! Even coughing a little bit. haha. Seriously tho, vehicles were going up and down the alley about the time I started watching this vid and the dust was what was getting me. lol. But was kinda weird how that happened right when I started watching all that smoke roll out.
Great hustle by Engine 23 chauffeur (?); not sure of his title but that guy was moving! And it cracked me up how Dinkel made his first cut in the ground floor outside wall. Looked like a little house!
I'm always surprised by how pedestrians are not stopped from walking through an active fire scene. They are endangering themselves and interfering with the safety of the firefighters.
Ok
Great video Skyler!
Thanks
@@SkylerFire You're welcome
Excellent video
Thanks for watching
@19:47....NICE!!!
Thx
Looks like the MPO is also the hydrant man
nothing more real than a firefighter with an axe
Ha’
Hi Skyler. Great video, must be a nightmare searching the hub of the fire in a building that size.. Also the video covers on how many different appliances that you guys use.
Would it be possible to answer a question for me please? I noticed that some crew were wearing, what looked like to be blocks of wood strapped around their helmets, for what purpose would these be used?
Take care out there.
John.
Thanks for watching the blocks of wood are called wedges they hold doors open so they don’t close on them
@@SkylerFire Oh I see, makes sence.. thanks for your response. Take care and looking forward to the next video.
John.
@@SkylerFire depending on the width of the wedge, they can also prove useful at stopping an activated sprinkler head if you have 2 of them. Insert them from opposing directions and once they meet snugly you smack your palms on the end of both simultaneously. this forces them in tighter and helps to force the wedges in so tight that water isn't capable of getting by any longer.
They are wedges used to help keep doors with hydraulic closers stay open to make entry/egree easier.
@@jamesfraser4173 in other words to chock open fire and smoke doors, to allow fire and smoke to move out of the compartment they were intended to be confined in 😜
Is this St. Patrick's Cathedral vice versa the fire bldg.?
Yeah
What’s with the 55 gallon diesel drum? And don’t these construction workers know the hazards if any if there were incidents like these
Well they knocked down the fire which was a good thing
@@SkylerFire For Sure
If Someone asks me what FDNY Is, I’m showing them this video, Nice job
ok
This might sound silly…. but what is the engineer doing with the hard suction?? Why would hard suction be needed on a hydrant system?
FDNY uses them to connect to hydrants
That’s not realllly a hard suction line… if you look when he pulls it off the truck the bigger lines above it are the actual hard suction lines… what he pulls off is a different size 4” I think… if you look at about 30 sec later when the show the other engine down the block you can get a better shot of it
Man them new horns on rescue 1 sound horrible
people in NY just don't care to move for firemen.
Fun things to do in New York. Leave
I'm really confused on what they were doing over on that wall randomly cutting holes everywhere.
Ventilation!
@@SkylerFire that was a temp wall to protect the sidewalk path though there should have been open space above to the outside. Thats why i was confused.
@@sergeantseven4240 smoke had no where to go
What is a 10-76?
High Rise Commercial Fire
How stupid is humanity, filming everything even when standing in the smoke. Sad company to see
What are you talking about?
