G,day Ralph from Australia 🦘.I enjoyed the video of tearing down the S/S motor very informative information.cant wait to see Margaret back up & running.i follow slick, hippie & ironhead sally.hope she is recovering well.bulldog, Australia 🦘 cheers.
G,day back at ya. Glad you enjoyed it, as I love the new and different challanges that each one brings. Working away at Margaret but it is a slow process, so much to do. I am making headway and will try to keep everyone updated as she comes together. Thanks for following my Bros in the south , and supporting them. We have become great friends and I wish the best for them with their channels as well. Thanks for letting me know where you are from and commenting.
Well how nice of you to pass some things on to others. I am sure they all appreciated it, as I did, with this gift. You are a good person and will be rewarded in life I am sure. Thanks for commenting.
Hi Ralph , It was a pleasure to come across your channel. You are an inspiration to me and a great technician. I watch all of your videos carefully. I saved a 1978 Super Glide from destruction several years ago and enjoy riding it more than I do my newer Heritage. Keep up the great information you are sharing with us shovelhead guys!! Writing from Eastlake Ohio!
Thank you for your kind words. Glad to hear you saved another one and are enjoying it so much. Thanks for letting me know where you are from. I really enjoy that. Thanks for commenting.
I have been watching for awhile like watching. Working on my Shovels and Evos. Glad you show your work reminds me of a things I forget to do. Great chanel Churbusco IN 😊
Good morning enjoyed your new video this morning I get a lot of good information from you. I am. Retired and finally getting my health back and enjoying working on motorcycles for a change. I have been a mechanic for most of my life. Recently had a lung transplant feeling much better now. I am from New Mexico but been all over the world.
Glad I can be of help to some people out there. Great to hear you came through that and are well now. Thanks for letting me know where you are from and commenting.
Just my nature I guess. I do not like to go through life with any unhappy relationships. So many people could resolve bad situations, and retain their friendships, with a small apology once in a while. Life is short and it never hurts to be humble. Thanks for your comment.
Hello my friend I found your channel a couple of weeks ago and enjoy your videos you are a good man I have 3 old school harleys and live in the UK and find it hard sometimes to get parts but I love my harleys always have always will take care and regards Alan and Ella from the UK yeah.p.s I do all my own work on my harleys.
What awesome gift Ralph. I try to live by what you said Ralph. Also, I respect that you made that apology although I don't feel like you said anything out of line. We don't even know who you were referring to for that matter. Non the less, I don't like having lingering connotations out there either my friend. Keep on pushing ol buddy
Thanks Hippie and it was a great gift, and I was humbled by his generosity. I said what I said as I do repect others and hopefully it may help others to think twice, in uncomfortable situations. I was having a bad day, but that no excuse for voicing my frustrations, in the previous video. Hopefully others will want to learn what is the right way and what is the wrong way and that is all I try to put out there, by sharing my video's. I am by no means an expert, just an old guy sharing what he does. Thanks for the comment as I respect you, and all the help you have given me to help grow my channel. Although we have never had the chance to meet personally, I do class you as a good friend. It is greatly appreciated!! Thanks.
I have!!!! The chopper I ride in my videos...the one I call the joker. Was won by a gentleman with a channel called flip and the blue mule! He won it.. then decided to give me the bike for free along with a lot of other goodies!!!! No one had ever done anything like that for me! Little on a nice running going chopper! I believe in karma!! I am a mason and we constantly work for our widows and orphans!! So this is another example of karma lining up!! You put all this information out to help folk's!! So yes sir!!! I do believe!! Great video my friend!!!
Thank you so much. You are a lucky guy. I also believe in karma and how you treat people is what matters in life. Sound like your work is very satisfying helping others in need. Good for you!! Thanks for your story and commenting.
Y’all are inspirational! Reading comments and responses is something I enjoy doing! Not only do I learn things from them but, I also realize all the good in the world. Makes me stop and appreciate how great everyone is! Helpful, Friendly & Inspirational!!! I try to be a better person because of it! Thank you!
If you ever run into another seized bolt after you weld the bolt to it and the fastener that is stuck is hot take a birthday candle and melt it around the threads the wax will leak into the threads and you'd be surprised how well that works to loosen stuff up .
Family obligations? Wasn’t able to catch your video right away? Treat people how you wanna be treated but, I have also had to fix crazy mistakes behind people though so I get both sides? I have been fortunate in life where karma has come back around probably more than I deserve?! Always a pleasure to watch you hoping some knowledge, morals, and general life lessons rub off on me! 🤣 as usual great video!
Karma can be a great thing and I do believe in what I say. Sometimes its hard, but usually needed. I know it makes me feel better and thats the important thing. I just hope that perhaps it may help others to sometimes look at the other side of things. A small apology can go an aweful long ways some times. Yet why is it so hard for many to do? Thanks for the comment Billy. Appreciated.
Never had anything give to me but once back in my drag racing days I bought what I thought was a worn out 396 but it was a nearly new 427 Corvette motor once I tore into it couldn't believe it
I have done that as well but this one was really in there and rounded off. Just didn't plan on splitting the cases at the time but you never know until you get into it. Thanks for commenting.
Yes it was. I am not discouraged at all by the condition it was in, and expected to rebuild it. But the thoughfulness of this gentleman to gift it to me is what makes it so special. Thanks for commenting.
Ever had something like this happen to you? Let us know about it.
My Dad used to say "Nothing beats a failure but a try " . Thank you for your channel .
👍🏻 very well said!
Well said. I always say "the only way you learn, is the hardway" Fail and move forward. Thanks for commenting.
Agreed.

I've quietly given people things over the years. Tools , cars. Can't say I've ever been on the receiving end. Enjoyed the video.

You have nothing to apologize for good video

Good things happen to those who treat others right. I believe that. What good luck with that motor! Thanks for commenting.
Never new that about crane What electronic ignitions do you reccomend?
I am a Dyna Ignition guy. Those pieces that are plastic on the Crane's are metal on the Dyna's.Thanks for commenting.
when i have stripped allen heads i hammer a torx socket into the hole and most of the time that works
I have done that as well but this one was really in there and rounded off. Just didn't plan on splitting the cases at the time but you never know until you get into it. Thanks for commenting.
At least the price was right.
Yes it was. I am not discouraged at all by the condition it was in, and expected to rebuild it. But the thoughfulness of this gentleman to gift it to me is what makes it so special. Thanks for commenting.
@ Oh yes , I was not commenting on that at all
I understand what your saying. Thanks
