I've noticed that professional djs transition between tracks in such a manner that you don't hear the old track leaving. You only hear the new one coming. That's what I've been practicing on the most. I've been using the build-up effect lately for transitions. Your timing has to be spot on though.
I've been wanting a feature on the controller: Add two buttons in the crossfader section.. Holding one of the buttons unmutes the track and pressing the other button will mute the track (pre-fader). Think about how Tom Morello from RATM uses this technique in place of the guitar's pickup toggle (pre-volume knob).
I often kill the noise effect just by unclicking the noise butten in effects filter section instead of turning the knob back. This makes sure you don't hear it go 'backwards' if your done with your effect (especially when you use the knob on your playing channel).
It is possible on the DJM-S11! You can change the filter knobs to different color FX including noise. Controls are in the FX menu of the touch display! ☺️

I created an account & downloaded REKORDBOX END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT....but nothing seems to happened ...i tried to unlock the hardware ..i also registered my X3 with the its serial number...HOW DO I GET STARTED...can you please help guide me in the right direction ...

@@PioneerDJUSA I would like to ask a question for the ddj400. The FX button, is there away to select from the list of effects the ones you would use more than having to go through the whole list? Without setting them up on the pads.
The DDJ-REV7 already has it! Same goes for the DJM-S11, DJM-S7 and even the legacy DJM-S9. You can change the filter knob to 4 other color FX! Go to your device’s settings Utility on the computer to change it.
