Takes brain power to know what to do. It also takes brain power to REMEMBER that they're still building something from scratch. There's plenty to do and even if there wasn't, you have a choice... we all have a choice to play. Saying there's "nothing to do" is like walking in the kitchen as your mum cooks and getting frustrated that there's nothing to eat yet. Why be a brat?
So happy to see you enjoying SC. Next time, hop in a constellation and listen for when the engines to turn on. Gets me every time. Oh and just wait for the cave systems and PVP fights that come along with them.

Starcitizen is the sandbox game coming after SQ42 singleplayer campaign. CIG is using most of their resources on SQ42 where the tech trickles down to Starcitizen, while the server meshing and SOCCS is mainly for Starcitizen and other mechanics for realisme, and this is why it takes a long time to see any progress in Starcitizen. There is also game modes like Wing Commander and Theatres of war where you can enhance your skillz and have a fast game. The game with the biggest potential moving forward.
This game looks amazing. I can't wait for the chip shortage to end so that I can buy a new enough PC to actually run it. Highly entertaining as always, Jack. Keep up the good work making the universe safe for Star Citizens everywhere.
The game is pretty much CPU bound right now. A decent CPU, 32GB ram and a ssd are what is needed, the GPU is secondary and only needs 4 GB (more is always nice).
@@mryellow6918 Having a better GPU doesnt make a difference to FPS as the game is CPU bound. I had exactly the same FPS on a 980ti as my friend had on a 3080 when in Orison for instance. FPS increases will come with future game optimisation.
It's not finished by any stretch of the imagination, but people that lump it in with Chronicles of Elyria and other scams, obviously have never even opened it, it's one of, if not the, most beautiful and detailed games ever made.
Good luck. The budget for this is absurdly huge, only possible through tons of crowd funding and literally infinite time (it's been in development for a decade now). The guy who runs the company realized "hey, there's a ton of rich CEO types who'd be willing to pay through the nose for this" and he was right.
So true, I do wish the explosions had more bass to them tho. There should be a deep sub-bass rumble travelling a further distance (as waves of that length would). I do hope they improve that. Optimizing for full-range systems or SubPacs especially would be dope af
It is amazing. It is also filled with ever changing bugs. If you can’t handle the bugs, you should stay clear. I will say that some random encounters with people have led to the most incredible gaming experiences I’ve ever had. It’s worth the $45 just to look around.
Specifically Unreal Engine and Unity game engines are incredible. Look at Matrix interactive environment in UE5, Wukong and Subnautica game with a lot others.
It gets hate because it's boring. There is almost nothing to do in the game. I own the game and every time I went into it, I was in awe at the graphics and scenery, but that's the only thing it has. AI sucks, combat sucks, flying and driving is fun..... for the first few hours... the missions lack variety, etc. It's good fun for the first few hours, then it just becomes stale af.

hate to ruin your picture but when the door is open the whole time, there is no air in it. no sucktion. that happended cause one player stood infront of the bed and there was no space for the exit animation, so he glitched trough the roof.
I've been in the game since the beginning. I remember walking around a hangar looking at a non-flyable Hornet. So excited. I had no kids and now I have 4 and have moved across the country. I've burnt out on the gam at this stage a little and it's really cool to see new players come in and how it feels to them. Really enjoy this.
I suppose you should check out Area 18 if you want to be impressed by a city. It's a Coruscant-like planet-wide city. Similarly it is a ton of space without much going on in terms of gameplay, but it's visually very impressive. Microtech is more about its alpine subarctic climate as you saw. The best parts of it are those outside of the snowy and tundra areas though because it has more temperate regions with cool flora and forests. It's easily the most appealing environment in the game so far. They're going to be adding rivers there in the next patch as well. It's good to see new players enjoying Star Citizen though.
I was let down the fist time I went to Area 18. Everyone hypes up as a planet-sized city, and then you get there and it's 2 shopping plazas and a garage...
@@Xero_Kaiser Well that's every planet's landing zone really. I'm just saying if he was impressed by the scope and scale of the New Babbage exterior, Area 18 should really blow him away.
@@RDR911 I'm not sure, but as far as I know they do. Every time I've landed on or run into a building it was solid. I can't say the same for the surface though. as I've never tried. But in my experience, everything that looks solid is solid in SC. Whether or not you can run around on it on foot is another matter though since that's been an area of uncertainty even in the places you're supposed to be able to.
Welcome to the SC community Jack! It's a project that takes a bit of patience but certainly delivers. You should really check out some of the dynamic missions that will be happening throughout the year. Bugs killed it for me
Bugs are soo much of a problem in this game tho the amount of time lost in a 3 hour session was like half of it due to getting stuck and other things but the moments in game that are good are the most memorable experiences in gaming tbf
try to play any modern AAA game on release nowadays... same experience, bugs everywhere... this game keeps its alpha-state for a reason.
At times Star Citizen can be the jankiest mess of an alpha game out there, but when it works it is unmatched in some of the experiences you can have. I know it is taking a loooong time but no one else is even trying to do what they are doing at this scope and scale while keeping this level of detail and immersion.
No man’s sky lol
@@Approvedjoey117 it's nowhere close in detail and immersion
@@Approvedjoey117 I love nms but thats not even close in scale. It is the better overall game rn
@@Approvedjoey117 Nah, scope and scale ain't close, but NMS arguably plays smarter, by keeping things small, with the illusion of grandness. Hello games are geniuses in their own right :)
Well elite dangerous and no man sky actually have gameplay on them instead of just good metalic textures
I am so glad you are playing this again the reception from the last vid was huge even though the game has its issues its amazing and i am happy to see that you enjoy it. I was so amazed at the first vid i watched it twice. Thanks alot :)
the amount of detail is beyond insane
Would love to have you join one of my Organisation's events, one day, so you can see some of what Star Citizen can truly be capable of! Massive, coordinated space and ground battles with a purpose and story. If you ever want to feel like a cog in a massive machine whilst simultaneously feeling like you're in a movie, I highly recommend joining an Org in Star Citizen!
Honestly with theaters of war coming soon and with the community events it already feels that way at times
@@Spoons81 True! The community is a big part of why SC is so great. And large orgs really bring out some of the best of this game
Absolutely loving you playing Star Citizen.
This is great!! It is so refreshing to see your reaction to the game as a set of fresh eyes! I have been playing for so long that I have become a bit burnt out on it mainly due to all the persistant bugs. But seeing your reaction reminds me of how amazing this game is and will become in the future. Glad to see you are enjoying it!! Welcome to the Verse!!!
Star Citizen is such a good game, despite being a bit buggy lol. I'd love to see more content like this!
It's whole buggy, with nothing to do
Hardly even a game tbh
Its more like a very buggy showcase of a game
Takes brain power to know what to do. It also takes brain power to REMEMBER that they're still building something from scratch. There's plenty to do and even if there wasn't, you have a choice... we all have a choice to play. Saying there's "nothing to do" is like walking in the kitchen as your mum cooks and getting frustrated that there's nothing to eat yet. Why be a brat?
@@durtyred86 now imagine your mum spending all the ingredients, taking even more and still not producing food after 9 years
This game looks insane I’m out of words of how detailed this game.
So happy to see you enjoying SC. Next time, hop in a constellation and listen for when the engines to turn on. Gets me every time. Oh and just wait for the cave systems and PVP fights that come along with them.
Never tried on a Constellation ! I'll check that !
If you havn't yet, I'd recommend you try poppin the engines on the Star Runner... 😲
@@bastienhouse5202 I have that is another great one!
Jack you blew my mind when you started playing SC. I’m a big fan of your content and I’ve been watching since the start of war zone. I’ve played SC since 2017 and it’s awesome. Glad your having a good time and I hope to see you in the verse some day.
Love that your playing my favorite game of all time. It has its problems but when it works there is simply nothing else that comes close.
Actually really enjoying this (hopefully new) "series." Just one thing. We need more of The Expanse call outs like the first one!!
I've heard loads about this game but never seen video of it. Impressive! Thanks for the vid Jack
Love the excursions into the vast world of Star Citizen from the novice perspective while being led through by people who know the game.
That ending was hilarious, keep these videos coming. So much fun to watch!
16:37. When you flied back to your ship after mission was breathtaking.
More Star Citizen! These videos have been a refresher as content. Love Jacks interaction with others, its hilarious!!
Such a fun video you 2 made..great job..and you guys kick ass!!
This game looks amazing. I can't wait for the chip shortage to end so that I can buy a new enough PC to actually run it. Highly entertaining as always, Jack. Keep up the good work making the universe safe for Star Citizens everywhere.
yeah i am also waiting for ps5 to get available again. GT7 releases today and i have no PS5 :(
The game is pretty much CPU bound right now. A decent CPU, 32GB ram and a ssd are what is needed, the GPU is secondary and only needs 4 GB (more is always nice).
@@randirlom9508 GPU Is still needed micro tech struggles to stay above 30 on a 2080
@@mryellow6918 Having a better GPU doesnt make a difference to FPS as the game is CPU bound. I had exactly the same FPS on a 980ti as my friend had on a 3080 when in Orison for instance.
FPS increases will come with future game optimisation.
@@SuBSynKToC it does in gpu bound scenarios. like in babbage
It's not finished by any stretch of the imagination, but people that lump it in with Chronicles of Elyria and other scams, obviously have never even opened it, it's one of, if not the, most beautiful and detailed games ever made.
Agreed and a big difference is every single year the game is night and day better and only improving. Having in game events keeps content fresh too
I would love if a company made a star citizen-like star wars game. That would be sick!
Warhammer*
Good luck. The budget for this is absurdly huge, only possible through tons of crowd funding and literally infinite time (it's been in development for a decade now). The guy who runs the company realized "hey, there's a ton of rich CEO types who'd be willing to pay through the nose for this" and he was right.
I feel the 2-3 fps I would get in that city on a spiritual level.
I feel like its been a while since jack has been this exited to play a game and its great to see!
The sound the ships make when they explode is satisfying
The game in general is satisfying
Search for 'idris explosion' and check out any of those videos for some amazing ship explosions
@@NSXtacy- Or just play the ninetails and xenothread events that occure regularly and enjoy then :)
So true, I do wish the explosions had more bass to them tho. There should be a deep sub-bass rumble travelling a further distance (as waves of that length would). I do hope they improve that. Optimizing for full-range systems or SubPacs especially would be dope af
@@UncleBenjs except in space ofc lol there shouldn't be any sound there
I had never heard of this game until your first video... this game looks absolutely stunning
It is amazing. It is also filled with ever changing bugs. If you can’t handle the bugs, you should stay clear. I will say that some random encounters with people have led to the most incredible gaming experiences I’ve ever had. It’s worth the $45 just to look around.
Scuffed space adventure returns is it
Got recommended this video randomly and really hope you keep making more Star Citizen content!
same
Fr this is the Star citizen guy for me now.
Absolutely appreciate the fun you guys have with SC
That was hilarious, I really wanna see more of this games and just funny co-op, I like it a lot more than any cod or battlefield type content.
YES, MORE STAR CITIZEN.
Your content goes great with this game.
Been in one, Jack: Bullet trains ARE that quick.
"This looks like it might be functioning, so that's good"
Star Citizen in a nutshell.
It’s genuinely scary how realistic and futuristic video games are getting.
It's incredible. I have such high hopes for this game. I'm probably going to buy it today LOL
Specifically Unreal Engine and Unity game engines are incredible. Look at Matrix interactive environment in UE5, Wukong and Subnautica game with a lot others.
I could watch you guys play this for hours! Awesome content Jack, keep it up.
i love that you are bringing light to the game, there's so much hate for SC and its nice to see a big youtuber playing it!!!!
@@ivanbenja4 If you look over here ladies and gentleman, we have an opinion. Careful not to step in it.
@@ivanbenja4 have you played the xenothreat , jump town or 9tails events? If you haven't I'd recommend trying these as they are going to change your opinion drastically
@@ivanbenja4 It seems you dont know all the stuff this game has, Which i dont blame you sometimes its hard to navigate through everything. I have played xenothreat and all the other events like jumptown and was never bored I do however hate redundant delivery missions, so I dont do them and instead do the stuff i enjoy. To each their own but i encourage you to try some new things in the game, jump on during an event even
I want to see their faces and how they buy the game after it comes out xd. It will be a huge satisfaction.
Always loved watching the new player experience. When the game works it's definitely something else.
This is just massive. Amazing to watch all the great things you are doing in this game, can't wait to see more of your journey.
It hurts seeing you guys play as you just feel like bugs are around every corner... But man i love seeing new players try the game, equally funny every time.
Watching y'all struggle to find the entrance to the 890 was hilarious. I remember those days, lol. Love the videos; keep up the excellent work! o7
I remember levelcap talking about this game years ago....It looks pretty darn good!
Lvlcap actually uploaded a SC video just last week! you need to watch it (the short vid, not the stream)
This is great jack I would love more star citizen videos?
It's so amazing to see what the future may eventually look like, my biggest regret will always be not being able to see it all when the time finally comess
Loved the video! Great duo! I haven't seen anything about this game really, looks massive!
I would love to see a few more of these episodes it's a very cool game you and Tommy have very good chemistry which makes it so much more fun
I'm loving your Star Citizen adventure! There's LOTS more to see still
WOOOOOO HES PLAYING MORE. If you keep playing this game Jack you might have me a regular viewer again.
I have always been aware of this game but I feel this is the ultimate game.
If you want to have your mind blown further, pay attention to the top left of the screen at 1:37. That is actually another player in their ship. at the edge of atmosphere entering Quantum travel.
I don't see anything
@@hitman9078 it's a fast white light passing through the sky
@@ObjectiveCicada wow saw it now thanks.
do you, by any chance know what the music/theme is called at that timestamp? o7
This looks incredible even with its bugs and stuff. Wow
More star citizen! Love this. I want to see Jack in some big battle. Large ship combat
Love how they just leave the door open at the end and wonder why Tommy got sucked out of the ship.
hate to ruin your picture but when the door is open the whole time, there is no air in it. no sucktion. that happended cause one player stood infront of the bed and there was no space for the exit animation, so he glitched trough the roof.
I've been in the game since the beginning. I remember walking around a hangar looking at a non-flyable Hornet. So excited. I had no kids and now I have 4 and have moved across the country. I've burnt out on the gam at this stage a little and it's really cool to see new players come in and how it feels to them. Really enjoy this.
this game in VR would be amazing. great video again jack :)
Please keep up the star citizen content jack the game is amazing. First thing I downloaded after upgrading my PC haha
@@AbbreviatedReviews Don't most of the buildings not have collision on Area18?
@@RDR911 I'm not sure, but as far as I know they do. Every time I've landed on or run into a building it was solid. I can't say the same for the surface though. as I've never tried.
But in my experience, everything that looks solid is solid in SC. Whether or not you can run around on it on foot is another matter though since that's been an area of uncertainty even in the places you're supposed to be able to.
This is unequivocally the most beautiful game I’ve seen to date.
Haven't seen much then
@@ynemey1243 say what you will but im in agreeance, as for games Star Citizen is gorgeous
You guys are amazing, I haven't played yet but when I do I hope I meet guys like you
Welcome to the SC community Jack! It's a project that takes a bit of patience but certainly delivers. You should really check out some of the dynamic missions that will be happening throughout the year. 'Xeno Threat' just wrapped up (but will be back) and it was the best Star Citizen gameplay they've made yet.
the first video made me buy it instantly - unfortuantely i cannot run it whatsoever
but i will gladly take a second video of this game - i couldnt find anyone else i enjoyed watching play
I upgraded my entire PC just for this game. U need an SSD to run it no matter how good ur PC is
@@johnathonnaughton6270 I don't get it?
Why can't you run it?
Like others have said, make sure you install it on an SSD, preferably an m.2
game looks pretty awesome, i like when it randomly pops up like some youtube suggested vid of that guy who bought the most expensive ship in the game or a random article about some massive clan wars. very cool
I hope that people appreciate that, when seeing the opening flight here, the planetary and stellar environment are open and in motion. That's the truly amazing thing about Star Citizen.
Of course, there's also a tiny game called Rodina made by one person that achieved the same, but yeah
So loving this.
As a long time backer it is great to see when new players experience SC for the first time.
I love these videos. If you're truly enjoying this game, then please make more of these! This game looks amazing!
