- In today's video, I work on a Troybilt lawnmower that has a Honda GCV 160 engine that won't start. This ends up being a $0 fix and it's probably not what you thought it would be.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was ready to go get a new mower tomorrow but figured I would try one last time to find the culprit. Fired right up once I made sure to hear that click!!
Glad I was able to help! Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers
I just learned something there with that break V contact thing.. Good job.

Nice fix

Some cables can be adjusted 😊
Fiddling with the “kill” cable reminded me of a handy tool... the $9 cable oilers on Amazon that help any cable. Nice fix here. 1-3-3 through the paces.
I have one of those and use it from time to time. They work pretty well but are a bit time consuming. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers
Thank you. With your info I was able to get my Honda GCV 160 mower started. I just bent the v shaped flat metal piece with a needle nose pliers so that the switch clicker would engaged when I pulled on the blade control bar.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Cheers
Same here. Worked like a charm!
@@chrissheffield4137 glad I could help. Cheers
Thank you so much for this. Like others here I was about to give up. Having checked everything but this. All other videos were talking about the carburator or auto choke. They were wrong and you were right. So simple as well. Wish I would have found your video 2 hours earlier. 😅
