@@GunninWizard Yes, i was hauling toys 3 ebikes etc on the towhitch and the bags helped the rearend. You also might want to consider a beefier rear swaybars if side to side leaning is your primary concern.
Thank you so much for the video, I have the 450 class C with slide out, I ordered the kit per Airlift Tech-support make sure I was getting the right one. $1000 worth of parts came in because I have the 1000 for the front and the remote system, I still have to get the air tank. I crawled under there and thought there is no way it will ever fit. After watching your video I now have confidence. Thank you so much for the video I will check if there’s a future videos because I want to see your battery change over and your air tank addition.
Just did my motorhome. Used zip ties to compress the bags. Also put the top bracket bolted on the bag very loose. Then just slid it into place. Was much easier then trying to get that stud thru the frame and into the bag. I also pulled the shock out and removed the wheels. Seemed to give me more room that way. Time consuming, but not overly hard job.
FYI to keep bags deflated take a small piece of provided air line ( 2-3") and melt or plug one end, squish airbag down and hold it while inserting it into top of airbag.. Keeps it deflated. Take out when in place and boom.
worked great, I think this is the max load for this product. Not sure if there is a bigger set, I got an extra 2-3 inch, I think it actually put it back to factory height. Looked more level in the back and not squatted down, I still had to install roller wheels on the rear frame so when the frame was about to scrape, it just slid on the wheels
Hey man nice video you made it look easy but my number 1 question is how is the ride on road ? I have 1999 class A winnebago a 34 and rides a bit rough, hits hard on bumps and it's horrible. Thanks
Thank you soo much for watching :) Ride did not change much because of this mod, helped with getting out of drive way and got rid of rear suspension sag, I guess a new set of springs could have done the same. For ride quality I found tire pressure was the best, once I dropped from 85psi to like just below 80psi and was night and day :)
On your Class A, are you inflating tires to the pressure molded on the tire sidewall or the pressure printed on the tire pressure label on the RV? Max inflation pressure on tires can make them ride like a empty gravel truck!
Great video. How much lift did you get out of the bags? I bought an older fifth wheel, that needs 3-4" of lift as the leafs are sagging. Do you recommend the loadlifter 5000 to do the job?
Thank you very much :)I got about 3" of lift, the 5000's were the recommended bags for my motorhome. If I did it again, I would have went to a higher capacity bag. They work great on the passenger side, however the drivers side is heavier with the slide out, fridge and house batteries all adding weight :(Not sure the axil layout on your fifth wheel, but these are for a single axil, there might be adapter plates for duals. In conclusion make sure you get a set that is stronger then what you need or you will be doing the job twice :(Or just get new leafs, if I had the money that's what I would have done
I just got off amazon, I think it was the best deal. It was a few years ago, so there may be a better deal at a local shop. Just google the kit you need and read read read :) Thank you so much for watching, be sure to check out my other videos and I hate saying this but smash that like button it really helps grow the channel and get our videos out there to help and entertain more people, you guys are the best!! Great video mark (I'm gonna look for the compressor addition now). Question, If you NEEDED to, temporarily inflate the bags to the fullest (100%), how much more clearance could it give you? You said it gave you about 3" in the comments. I have trouble getting in and out of our driveway - road is higher and our driveway slopes down towards our house. When I drive in and out I have to put a 5 inch ramp under the front drivers side wheel (or rear wheel), so it doesnt bottom out over the hump. My generator exhaust is behind drivers door right in the middle of the wheelbase span, so it drags the generator exhaust if I dont use the ramp. I'd like to install Rear (and possibly Front) air lift, for all of the good reasons of better ride, but mostly so I could inflate it, pull out of the drive way and deflate to a comfortable ride height. Thoughts?
I am adding for the same reason. Did you get it installed and how it work out. I got the front to install along with the rears. I have the remote system, just wish they made a four-way controller.
Its not a whole lot of extra height to be honest, I had to add casters on the rear ends of my frame rails, so they hit the road first and then my trailer hitch will clear, without these two mods I could not get out the driveway
Tom Taylor, thanks for the question :) Even though it only raised the back a couple inches, we can totally feel that the motorhome is tighter in back. I have done small adjustments over the season, only cause we are still figuring out how to pack. If you install and have small air leaks, I’m sure adjustments would be needed regularly. My slideout and fridge are on the drivers side, so we are off balance, this year I am relocating the coach batteries to the passenger side to level things out. Also when I installed the drivers side the airbag was a little off alignment, so I have to fix that and then reset the ride hight. In a perfect world I would replace the rear leaf springs as well, cause they are loaded to the max. Mark
For the little bit of comfort you get on the ride, it is really not worth the time and money you have to put out, just add a second leaf spring and you will see it last longer and a nice ride too.
Thanks for watching :) For me it was I went into the driveway and could not get back out, I put roller wheels in the back by the hitch in another video, that helped a bit. I like to do my own work and I do not have the tools or a multi ton jack to lift and replace the leafs. Also my driveway is soft asphalt and an angle = unsafe to have in the air. So I guess this fix is not for everyone, but fit me fine. Also I liked using my onboard air compressor to adjust the level while camping :) Happy camping Mark
Thanks for that video, it’s work perfectly in my school bus motorhome
Ours is a 22E Thor that I am now considering to do the same thing soon. Thanks for sharing this Instruction video.
MiniTrail50, your coach is lighter then mine, should be a lot smother job :)
Did you ever do it. We have A 22e Thor and we are gonn have the airbags done. Hoping it makes it more stable and not rock side to side

Really good video Sir. Thank you for the content. Any follow up material on the system?

how did it work for you? was thinking of doing it to my class c...it worked good on my truck.

What kit did you us
Air Lift 57131 kit :)
What's a good psi on the airbags in rear?
I do like 80 in the drivers side cause its so darn heavy, and only about 40 on the pass side to level out the home

Tom Taylor, thanks for the question :)

Next time try putting something under your leveling jacks and manually lift the rear end that way. No need for the floor jack I Wouldn't think.
This RV does not have leveling jacks :(
Wish it did
@@markgraves7972 ah that makes sense.
use wood ramps
Thanks for watching!! PS where where you like 3 years ago??, lol
