God bless the you tubers that show all their mistakes. Makes us all feel better about when we do it. These are great kits with heavy components. I just installed a set on a 2008 f350 with a Steelweld service body. I had to do a little work on the brackets with a speedy wheel and also had to drill the frame. The bags made a tremendous difference in handling. The bed and tools probably weigh 7,000 lbs.
Just started watching your vid here, and I am always visited by Murphy at the wrong time too. When you surprised us with your X lug wrench showing how it snapped apart I could see that exact thing happening to me and felt what you felt at the time. You had my empathy throughout.. Good video with good advice on the install. I just ordered mine from Amazon. Will be having my own fun next week. Oh, I bought this because Iive in my van, and the passenger side leaf spring had snapped on the top leaf 8 inches from the end. The second leaf was just resting on the underside of the broken top piece pointing up still attached to the shackle. Lovely fun that I get to do next week. Already got my replacement leaf spring in from Texas to Calif for $107 with Free shipping! Aheadb of then came so far...but I know Murphy is lurking around somewhere getting ready to pounce .... 😠🙃😉😎
para esa camioneta viene un equipo diferente que se coloca del lado de adentro sin tropezar con el guardabarro interior.. este kit es para vehiculos mas viejos..
You forgot to use the spacer on the left side of the driver's side bottom bracket and the spacer on the right side of the passenger side bottom bracket to make it level with the frame. As you have it, the airbags are way off from the frame of the truck.
Thank you for your how-to and how-not-to video. I am just a regular guy trying to be handy (will probably go buy some jack stands and a right-angle drill for this project). Luckily my F-150 doesn't have a fender well cover! I just wanted to comment how awesome your idea of putting the valves through the license plate is. I will copy you! Probably going to hook up an on-board wireless air compressor, as well. Did you ever end up adding that to your system?
***** Thanks for watching. I think the valve through the license plate trick was in the directions, so no real awesomeness on my part. I pretty much only use the truck for hauling loads, so I leave it aired up. I don't think I will add a compressor. If you have all the parts (especially new drill bits) and a friend, this is about a two hour job.
I hear ya, I have a few large pieces of cardboard I got from a local Matters Retailer, work out great.,,,,, even tho I have a 30x40 Shop it seems to get full of stuff and it would take me longer to clear it, than it would to do the job in my Carport!!!! Go figure, ONLY IN AMERICA, we leave our 30-40 and $50,000.00 cars and truck outside because the garage is to full of JUNK !
I was wondering why you used the bags you did. I've notice some kits have bags that look like cylinders instead of 'stacked donuts' like yours. The cylindrically shaped ones cost the same. Thanks.
The answer is that I am simply not aware of the other type of kit. I have no idea which is better. This got good reviews from a couple of different sites, so I went for it.
With your audio besides being outside you have an Audio Gain Control feature which will hiss like that if you don't speak. Depending on what camera/camcorder you have some people that have made a feature to defeat that and get rid of the AGC.
You weren't kidding about mechanical aptitude. Those pieces that hold the fender liner in are riv-nuts. Push the center in and they more or less fall right out.
Have you had any issues since with the air fittings leaking at the bags? I have a set that sits in board of the leaf springs on the axles and they leak down after a few hours. I checked all I could easily reach with soapy water and found no leaks except for the fitting on top of each bag.
Thanks for posting this. I want to do this to my van to INCREASE ground clearance, for boondocking / camping. Any idea if I could get a 4" lift on demand ???
Fernbark Frist That is not what I heard about air systems. But maybe this particular kit can't do what I am hoping for. Clearly I have more research to do. THANKS for making and posting
Esos pinches botones del minuto 4:32 se sacan picándole el punto hacia adentro y no todo el botón hacia afuera por que los rompes así como los Rompiste
Firestone looks easier. NIce job though, was fun watching you figure things out, reminds me of myself with a big job. Hate the unboxing and looking at mounds of hardware lol
Great video. I enjoyed it and I apologize for the laughing I did while watching it. One mans misfortune is another mans joy. Not really but great video though.. 2 thumbs up!
all extra weight sits on the helper spring, that's not going to work. It should sit on the axle. on the top end weight should sit on the frame, here its 2 bolts. the bracket should sit on the frame, not just 2 bolts.
From a logic standpoint I think his setup will work just fine but the only difference is that the air bags will probably need a little bit less air as it's connected to the helper springs than if it was connected from the frame to the axle. Post the link of what you have done so we can see.
+DALES GALAXIE It is a Milwaukee M12 ratchet driver. I got mine from Fastenal, but you can get them lots of places, except Lowes since they don't carry Milwaukee.
Fernbark Frist I removed my rear airbags and put the Gabriel pro guard shocks on the back and Monroe oespectrum in the front and it rides a lot smoother now.
I recently re-installed my air bags but when I installed them back on, I compressed them down, I had to make new holes, the new holes still lower on the frame. Now, when you air it, the suspension raises now. I think there is a flaw on the air lift instructions. When you have extra time, give it a shot.
+Joshua Moore Air springs have lots of names. I've heard them called airbags, towbags, helper springs, air springs, air ride.. There is nothing that says they are strictly called "Overloads". FYI.. ;-)
good video. I liked it. I wanted to hear the cussing and see if it was similar to my cussing when I work on cars. most of my cussing is aimed at the dufus design engineer....otherwise known as an idiot. yessir, I enjoyed the video. but I don't like the product. as one commenter stated, the weight is on the helper spring. oh well, I hope it works for you. stay safe.

4 hrs thats good , took me about double with a dually lol. Busch lights helped.
It would have been way easier with one more person.
Your persistence paid off
Good for you
This guy is hilarious! He made my day for I laughed so hard I cried. Keep the videos coming. love it!

i wanna see someone installing one of this kits in front of the suspension
I miss my dodge 5.9 magnum. Same green color as yours.
Thank you for the video. You make it look simple.
Thanks!
just wanted to say thank you for taking the time!
Thanks for stopping by Nate.
Awesome video. You are great to watch. Kept me entertained the whole time! That licence plate valve mount is literally amazing. Keep up the good work!
Good job and props for working on gravel. Must still be better than my mud rutted driveway. 😂🙏
You get used to it after a while... so they say.
Good install and good tips. Thanks.
Thank you for watching
I love your video! A regular joe with regular joe problems! I’m going to put one of these system on my truck, thanks
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching.
wow, the way you trimmed the wheel well cover!...you don't need them back there anyway! you want to show the air bags!
4:32 Im f_ckn rolling. Awesome install though so thank you for the video.
Thanks for watching. I hoped it helped.
para esa camioneta viene un equipo diferente que se coloca del lado de adentro sin tropezar con el guardabarro interior.. este kit es para vehiculos mas viejos..
Firestone stronger. Don't know if it munched nuts bolts plates like airlift does...
Hey Tom Arnold! Don’t see you much in Hollywood anymore!
Great job Fernbark.
Thanks Tracy.
nice work im looking to add that to my RAM ....question can the upper bracket be welded instead ?????
probably could be welded. It is pretty thick. I have no welding skills, so my opinion on that may not be worth much.
You forgot to use the spacer on the left side of the driver's side bottom bracket and the spacer on the right side of the passenger side bottom bracket to make it level with the frame. As you have it, the airbags are way off from the frame of the truck.
oh shit... alright, ummm... You were so calm through the whole process and you did an awesome job. Keep it up!
I have a 2013 sienna. ..I watch the video and I ordered right away on Amazon. ...let see what happen

guys is there a similar product that will fit a 2010 ford flex sel awd. any tips or help please!
Looking for other UA-camrs in Washington State to meet and to share ideas on camping and other gadgets
I wish you luck on your search. It is difficult to find people in this area. For some reason, seems like the midwest and east coast have lots.

That airbag is a perfect fulcrum to break the frame. Waste of time. Money. And good way to write off a truck or cause an accident

Milwaukee owned by ccp keep up the good work
I am getting air bags installed this week. I am going to pay to have it done though. Looks like too much work and I don't have all the tools I need.
+Gary Anderson It's actually not that bad of a job if you can get one other guy to help for two hours.
Thanks, but that's part of the problem. I am not near my old home. I am on the road traveling and don't know anybody here.
Thanks for posting this. I want to do this to my van to INCREASE ground clearance, for boondocking / camping. Any idea if I could get a 4" lift on demand ???
Not with this system. You can add a compressor kit to it, but it won't lift your truck. All it will do is return a sagging back end to level.
Fernbark Frist That is not what I heard about air systems. But maybe this particular kit can't do what I am hoping for. Clearly I have more research to do.
THANKS for making and posting
This isn't an air system. This is an air bag. They are different. Air systems are quite a bit more than $280! Happy hunting with your search.
captnhuffy I'm looking for the same thing for my Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 2012. Did you find something? Thanks
nope. not yet.
Esos pinches botones del minuto 4:32 se sacan picándole el punto hacia adentro y no todo el botón hacia afuera por que los rompes así como los Rompiste
Jajaja muy sierto.
Seven years after this video was posted the Loadlifter 5000 looks radically different.
Guess I need to buy another truck and re-do the video.
I am interested. Could you send me the products links. Please
I’m going to install mine
Where do you live?
You’re the “friend” I need
Good job
Kudos
Firestone looks easier. NIce job though, was fun watching you figure things out, reminds me of myself with a big job. Hate the unboxing and looking at mounds of hardware lol
Thanks for watching!
VOOODOOO, Firestone is easy. I did it m you self and I am also average Jane when working on my truck. I put them on a Ford F350
Great video. I enjoyed it and I apologize for the laughing I did while watching it. One mans misfortune is another mans joy. Not really but great video though.. 2 thumbs up!
Thank you!
Well, it has been 8 years since you posted this video. How did they hold up for you? Any issues? I just put a set on my truck. Thanks!
They have held up, but to be fair, I have not really stressed them. Just need them vary rarely.
No air compressor??
No. You have to use your own air pump to inflate the bags.
all extra weight sits on the helper spring, that's not going to work. It should sit on the axle. on the top end weight should sit on the frame, here its 2 bolts. the bracket should sit on the frame, not just 2 bolts.

do bags lift it at all?
No. They only keep it from dropping lower.
Fernbark Frist does It lift it at all I was hoping to get this to level out my truck and also help it when I load it
Santiago Soto yes it will. It will be stiff depending on height but you can lift with it.
Great Video! Love That cordless ratchet driver where did you get that? And whats it's called need to get me one of those!
+DALES GALAXIE It is a Milwaukee M12 ratchet driver. I got mine from Fastenal, but you can get them lots of places, except Lowes since they don't carry Milwaukee.
I have these on my dodge and man I need dental insurance while going over the smallest holes. I think they would be better going on the axle instead.
My Dodge is a rough ride too. The front axle is worse than the back on mine.
This is the way I installed Air Lift on my Jeep: @
nice
i dont know if you know this or not but what your calling helper springs are really called overloads
+Joshua Moore Air springs have lots of names. I've heard them called airbags, towbags, helper springs, air springs, air ride.. There is nothing that says they are strictly called "Overloads". FYI.. ;-)
I think it's talking about the overload springs on the truck, he's not talking about the bags
Did it lift your truck any?
No, it's purpose is to keep your truck from sinking in the back when you put a heavy load in it.
thank you!
You're welcome!
Go Dawgs!!
Gud job Tom Arnold
I've been called that before, but I can assure you I have never had sex with Roseanne Barr
thanks !!
You're welcome!
Weld it back together
muito bom parabéns .
You poke the middle pin into the clip then pry it out. Once they are out push it back the front to reuse. Freaking plastic sucks

bud you look so much like Tom Arnold
Not sure if I should say "thanks" or "FU". You decide.
you look like david cross
Driveway in the gravel, I know that's way a pain in the A_ _ !
Yup. Great on the knees and super fun when you drop a nut on the ground.
And forget 5s. Use 8s....
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Now I'm not going to buy this product.
Take better care of your tools.
