Ramazani took his chance so well
I’ve been waiting to see how Rothwell does when he finally gets an opportunity and I’m pleased to say he impressed me and partnered up well with Tanaka who looks so composed on the ball. Willy and Ramazani looked lively, I was just disappointed again with both Meslier and Aaronsen. Meslier looks like an accident waiting to happen and watching the penalty back, he dives so late it looks like he was asleep! For me Aaronsen runs around like a headless chicken without much composure or end product. The ref didn’t help us and the early yellow card for Struijk was an embarrassingly bad decision. All in all it’s a good point - we aren’t going to win every away game and whilst hoping for a win on Friday, a point at Sunderland would also be a good result.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Farkes continued genius. Leeds look like they're the most likely to score and yet again his substitutes kill our momentum! The consistency in which he pulls off this trick is incredible, build the statue now
You had me going for a second 😂🤣
@@LUFCIndie loving that lol, build a statue of him,but wait until U win the league like he did with my team twice,I can only thank him for taking gnonto off second half,I'm sure in that mind of his there is some green n yellow in his heart,he is unbeaten against Ipswich with us and Leeds plus Norwich thanks Daniel for that 😆🤬🚜💛💚🇩🇪🤍👍🇬🇫🏴
😀
I agree with you Conor. Win the game in front of you at the time. Win the game. Worry about the next game after.
Pretty simple is this when we are winning Farke hasn’t really anything to do but when we are chasing the game he’s hopeless
Trouble is Conor our squad is paper thin anymore injuries and we are struggling
Rothwell looks like he might be another Bamford. Needs more then 20 minutes to have an effect on the game. He's done nothing in his cameo's (and that horror show in the cup) but last night, he did ok. Would have been better if his long range effort wasn't down Gunn's throat. Lets see if longer spells in the side will show us why he should be considered.
What did I learn last night. Firstly FARKE has no idea how to play with a No9 because it’s obvious by now that Bamford, Joffy, Piroe, Joseph or Rutter never do much waiting for scraps so end up running around trying to make a nuisance and thats it. There are no crosses to a No9, hardly any shots for a striker to pick up bits and pieces. We cant even have a corners strategy. FarkeBall years ago different with Pukki.
Secondly a bunch of substitutes late in the game always means nothing happens and his subs are invisible
Yet Farke was himself a striker FFS!
@@annabellee3543 don’t believe me then look at how many Center forwards he’s used at Leeds and then add up how many goals they have between them. Remember most of Piroe goals have come from as a 10. Bamford nowhere, Joffy hardly used and nowhere. Rutter some success but again as a 10, Joseph a couple but not enough…… so what’s the reason? Well they don’t get anything to attack, no service
Could Tanaka be the playmaker that Leeds need, whilst Ramzani looks a good signing
Those changes stopped us dead
I don’t think you can say Farke is risk averse when he through fresh legs and two centre forwards as the way to go. The problem is that Bamford is much slower than Joseph and Piroe and Gelhardt weren’t in the same class as Gnonto and Ramazani - great signing… also class from Tanaka and Rothwell, who a strong shot on him, making him a notch up from Gruev.
Poor game management at the end, that could cost us by not going for 3 points. Gnonto and Largie looked like they had another goal or assist in them.
Really couldn't understand why ramazani was taken off, He created a really good chance only minutes before being taken off
I said the same I think we could of had another goal but then we got a game Friday so can see both sides it is what is I surpose
Rubbish.
It was turning into a championship slog. Any momentum shift in our favour was just going to lead to them breaking the game up, slowing it down and holding on for a point. They would have just hacked away at them both to slow the game down and that ultimately risks more injuries. If one of them went down injured then friday might as well be written off as a loss.
@@george373 Fair point!
If Ipswich of last season in our position would have turned the screw in that last 20 minutes and won the game. That is why they got promoted and we didn't. IMO it comes down to poor management.
10 outfield players behind our penalty spot on corners. We have some of the smallest quickest players. Why do we not leave a couple upfield to get on to a clearance instead of the ball coming straight back. Free kicks half way in there half instead if putting it in the danger zone backwards and sideways. No idea changing it with subs. Takes off 2 fastest players replaced them with 2slugs. Farke out.
Hi. Conner, so glad to hear you mention recruitment team, as they have done a brilliant job this summer. Looking fwd to January window for a change to see what they do, feel it will be our turn to kick on in January with new recruits, not the opposition.
Thought we were bit slow moving the ball around in attack and we should've taken some of our chances better goalkeeping distribution was very poor all of those need to be spot on to have any chance of beating Sunderland
I was impressed with Rothwell too, had heated debates on FB and TikTok with people that seem to be clueless Barely playing and the abuse unwarranted
Rothwell smooth player just lacks pace
@@superTed3 tbf think that’s more to do with not playing regularly which I understand why he isn’t! He’s a nice player to have as a back up imo and doesn’t do much wrong

Love your walkabouts
Great podcast thanks Conor
I'm fine with the subs, if Gnonto or Ramazani had stayed on & got injured Farke would've been ripped!
I am interested to know if other teams played 2 away games midweek & at the weekend as well as how far they've had to travel. Maybe you could do some investigating Conor? :)
We should have won, I do understand the nerves from Farke as players are dropping like flies. Got to rotate and protect the players and another game on Friday - 3 games in 7 days. If you want to blame anyone blame the 49ers who have not bolstered the squad with numbers we need with their one in one out transfer policy. A good point in the end.
Good result at the end especially when we have all those injuries a good team performance thought we could have won the game poor pen to give away though lee we take try and get a result on Friday
Off to watch SV Hamburg Connor 🤔
Thank you CONOR 👍👌
Nice walkabout & chat around the city 👌👍
Biggest disappointment for me was the subs, totally killed off any chance of going for the win 😤😡
Oh I wish ROTHWELL had scored 😩😫
He was fantastic when he came on, he's very direct & goes forward...
Imagine if he had started with TANAKA 🙏
The first thing i learned last night is we can play without our inspirational captain we really should have won that game last night farke decided to pull of gnonto and ramazani our two quickest players that absolutely killed us Tanaka is general im surprise some of our utube journalists didn't know too much about this guy he's played in multiple tournaments for his country complete midfielder i also believe rothwell will do well in the absence of ampadu and gruev
Didn’t really see what you did from Rothwell. Thought we looked more open for counter attack last night than we have all season
He’s not a defensive midfielder Matt, I’d guess that’s the problem.
Wasn’t it Bristol Tuesday then Sunderland Friday last year ?
Think if Gnonto & Ramazani stayed on we would have won
Think we will keep trusting in Farke until its too late 🤷
In possession I thought Tanaka and Rothwell were good. Though in transition defensively they were all over the shop, getting turned and ran over quite consistently, which is a huge worry for me going forward. This could be a teething problem though, which of course I hope is the case! (Also aware they’ve both lacked game time of late- this is also a factor)!
That only happened when piroe and bamford came on meaning tanaka and rothwell had more to contend with playing with 9 men for 20 minutes
@@lightninggornall disagree. I saw it happen several times before those pair came on. Norwich were constantly having us chasing backwards! Credit to them.
It's ok being happy about our place in the league and the defence has been quite solid but most of our points have come against teams at the bottom, Sunderland will be a more accurate assessment of where we are
Surely you go for the win when the opportunity is there, worry about Sunderland on Friday, one game at a time it's foolish to start looking ahead. If we are 2-0 by 70 mins he'll regret not going for it last night.
Agreed, best we will get at Sunderland is a draw
Rothwell is a silky operator thought he was trying to drive us forward and he had a habit of getting to the edge of the box and almost scored aswel, not bad for a player who has been on the bench for a while
Should have pushed on and won it
Why do the refs we get so poor and 2 away game in 3 days is a joke, especially the distance as well is it a conspiracy
We were the better team until Farkes mad subs and then we looked like conceding. Not enough scoring chances for us though. Cannot believe that he brought barn door and piroe on at same time. Very frustrated by Farke
2 statues , least joffy show urgency and can actually move and beat a player
No excuse whatsoever bringing donkey Bamford on
Three things farke didn't learn score more goals don't concede and never play bamford if you need a goal
Referee was garbage worst one I have seen this season
Why make the subs when we was on top? Looked awful once we changed things
I’m fine with that game Gnonto & Ramizani Tanaka Rothwell did really well
THIS IS CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL THIS WAS A GOOD RESULT WE MARCH ON TO SUNDERLAND MOT
Where in Europe are you Connor?
Hamburg mate.
Morning joe lad well we should off won that but we did ave a poor ref tho on too the next one mot
Have you got a bad leg Conor, or was you riding a horse mate.😂😂😂
Terrible substitutions. 💙🤍💛
