Va taxes everything but if you’re 100% then I guess it works, plus there’s lots of jobs everywhere. I do like Va but other states don’t tax pensions.

Hang on...I think you missed an important point. Virginia is phasing in an income tax exemption for military retirement pensions. They still aren't as good as Alaska or Texas, but they are getting better.
