Type O Negative built their whole sound around the sustainer and being the first that I can remember going lower than c# , B standard, sustainer and the slower and lower is more heavy, but they abused the sustainers and it was and still is glorious. I’ve always thought the Evil Twin Schecters look cool and have some good specs but I’ve never had a chance to play one I prefer the Tele and LP shaped Evil Twins .
@@BlueSkiesBlackDeath Well it depends on what model you buy , my CI + has those upside down triangular things but my Damien has the bat inlays. Either way they're still the coolest guitars out there IMO!

I have a C7 Evil twin and love it. The neck pickup is a Fluence and just thumps and chugs hard with the dual rectifier. Exceeded my expectations in all honesty. Had it now a few years.

Got the Schecter Evil Twin V-1 SLS Elite for $700 including a case this summer. Very happy with it. Lot of great spes, including stainless steel frets.

Never heard of this guitar. Went to Guitar Center, plugged one in and whoa!! I sounded like George Lynch... Okay no I didn't... But in my mind I did. You can play a wide variety of stuff on it and sound amazing. Playing some old school Sabbath on it was amazing. Great guitar. Worth the price. Good review, thanks.
Fucking love the random Bullet For My Valentine Licks sprinkled through the video! That bands music is exactly what i used to play to test for "my tone" at the guitar shop.... 🤣
Cool some Bullet For My Valentine love them one of my favorites from the metal core emo core or whatever they were, their early stuff really reminded me of Metallica. Early Bullet and Trivium really nailed the old school thrash sound.
I own a c1 sls elete in antique fade burst. Its essentially the same guitar just in a different finish and no glow in dark markers. Its absolutely fantastic, i would recommend it no question. The only small niggles for me are the violin carve of the body for me gets slightly uncomfortable after a while. It digs in to the forearm but thats a problem for me with all guitars with that shape carve. Secondly the locking nut is sharp to the touch on the very outside edge of the high e string. So if you were to play around the upper frets then have to jump down quickly to the first fret. It can be very sharp on the fretting hand. I realise the is an aftermarket part made by floyd rose so more of a gripe to them. Would i buy this guitar again..... Absolutely
Such a great guitar, love mine. IIRC, The second voice of the Fishman is supposed to be more of a PAF sound vs the modern. It is just a joy to play, nowhere near as heavy as most guitars but not quite as light as my Ibanez S or RG.

I have the Original Dino Sustainiac giant box you had to footpedal press for two diff modes plus you had to screw in the vibrator into your neck and that was awesome for it's time, but this new pickup Sustainiac is the best in comparison!
yeah little word of advice, when looking for a guitar go check the specs on the official brand website. A lot of dealers leave out important info in the specs section of the products. (Mostly those that are felt as unimportant) For example a lot of times Stainless Steel XJ frets are just listed as XJ frets on many retailers, so someone reading the characteristics would think that they're nickel frets. Many times they specify the neck material but not the number of pieces. So always go on the official website of the instrument you're looking to.
I am a Schecter simp Never owned one I had major problems with, I never blame my instrument for problems because I know it's me that sucks not my guitar I never look at a piece of music and think "no way I can play that on my Schecter " Excellent guitars that just want to play
Oh f**k yeah! The Korean labor standard has surpassed my US strat and LP studio. If Gibson had balls theyd capitalize on the famous LP sustain and throw some sustaniacs in at the factory.
I got a Schecter C-1 SLS Elite somewhat recently and it had a ton of tooling marks and finishing issues. The fretwork and neck are fine and it plays well, but I was informed that this has been an issue with Schecter. Also the price of that guitar has gone up over $100 since then, and I just don't think they can justify it.
That's surprising I've had 4 from the Omen Extreme to the Synyster Gates custom S and they were all in perfect condition. Not one flaw , blemish or sharp fret...
I picked up a blood burst C-1 FRS SLS elite and had a minor cosmetic issue too. Part of the whammy bar had a quarter inch ding out of the coating on it, no biggy, but still. While I was shopping for it I found many had sub par flame tops in the blood burst finish. It took a long time to find one I liked so I let it slide. It plays like a champ. Think they might have had c19 complications in their manufacturing. My C-7 Apocalypse is mint, no flaws.

That's definitely not a common issue with schecter. I have a few and they are flawless and a work of art.

I had the same guitar but sold it , but I still have my Damian which I love. The Extreme is a heavy guitar compared to other Schecters...
