i said it once i'll say it again, i LOVE that the final match against the heretic leader was supposed to take place in the remains of 04's control room
That's such a cool detail, isn't it? Sounds like another one of Bungie's ideas saved for the next game. We finish Halo 3 by escaping the Control Room on the new Halo ring, so Bungie certainly wanted to return to the room in some way or another.
@@KYOTUA-cam Thank you! The soundtrack will be coming out within the next few hours! I"m actually currently just touching up the last track (very piano heavy)
Yeah, our understanding is that the heretics were originally supposed to still be using all h1 covenant equipment, weapons and vehicles (while you and your allies would still be new covenant), which is why they still have all old surplus h1 cov tech
I really wish Halo 2 was completed as envisioned. It would have been a great ending to the Halo storyline, while leaving room for a Flood-focused Halo 3 should the time come. Halo 2 as released always struck me as being the weakest entry in the trilogy, despite how interesting it's story was. But that's what happens when developers get too ambitious and overstep the limitations of old hardware.
Halo CE and Halo 2 were perfectly “connected” in a way. The art styles are so similar. This would’ve sealed the deal that this was an intertwined saga. Also gives me Mass Effect 2’s “Normandy Wreckage” mission vibe.
This is what i loved about halo 2, it always has something to remind us of the beautiful halo ce

Agreed on the seraph front, I can't think of why else they bothered to include it aside from an easter egg to the old builds of halo ce.
Cheers for playing!
I love your music and the work you put in with the Digsite team!

If we get another shot at a halo series, this would be perfect...
