Baby Bluebird Didn’t Survive, Mom Removes Them From Nest

Unfortunately, one of the four baby Bluebirds passed away. Momma Bluebird removed the baby from the nest.

Some years are harder on a nest. It’s always sad to see a baby fail to thrive, but the moms always seem to know to keep the remaining hatchlings safe by removing the ones that don’t make it. Let’s hope the little ones left grow strong and healthy.

It looks like she had 4 eggs hatch this time also and one died in the most recent birthing.
