When my children were small we used to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus also. I would bake a BD cake for Jesus that we would have Christmas evening. I made a paper banner to hang that said HB Jesus. I continued that tradition for my grandchildren.
LOL, I can relate to Katie about Rocks! I am 65 years old and I eat sleep and breathe rocks, if I open a drawer for some reason, there be rocks, rocks in kitchen bathroom everywhere is rocks! If I go somewhere I automatically rockhound, the rocks at Mcdonalds drive thru around the bushes I just wanna get out and snatch the pretty ones but of course I wouldn't, but the old saying if you was bad is All you are gonna get for Christmas is a box of rocks, Well I would be overjoyed with it, LOL..... My yard is just beautiful rock beds full of rocks, instead of mulch I use weed cloth down and fill it with rocks I have carried home. I have one all quartz and another is chert bed and a jasper bed.....ROCKHOUNDS We are Who We Is.....I am a rock hoarder too
It's wonderful that you ladies didn't leave out Jesus in your video. Our tradition has always been going to celebrate with my maternal grandmother. I'm fixing to leave now and go there, she has dementia and doesn't know most of us anymore but we still try to keep it going. On Christmas day my family, my brother and sister and their families still go to ma's house. I've been married since September 1996 my little brother has been since 1994 and my sister since 1999 but we still try to keep family tradition together. Marriage will bring some changes but you'll learn how to make it work. God bless you ladies.
We were a humble (poor) family growing up. So we didn't get many gifts growing up. When I was 15 and my brother 17, my brother got a bunch of gifts, clothes, records, camera, etc. I got a shirt and some little things. When gift opening time was over, I was questioning within why I got so little. But I was grateful for what I got and continued to be happy. We ate breakfast and began the day, getting ready to travel to grandma and grandpa's house. All of a sudden my mother squealed "Oh my goodness" and went running to her bedroom. When she came out she had a big box, and my father was laughing. The box had a big bow on it. They gave it to me and I opened it....it was my first guitar! They had it hidden for so long that they had forgotten about it. I was truly surprised. Marry Christmas to you and your family!
Enjoyed the old photos, the ones from the 70's reminded me of my childhood and yes our parents dressed us in goofy clothes.checked bell bottoms, ugly shoes, purple socks, they dressed us like circus clowns back then.
Katie I can tell u r gonna have separation anxiety when ur sister moves out and I feel for u .. but u gaining a brother and down the road a niece or nephew or maybe two lol .. Merry Christmas ladies
Thanks for sharing your Christmas Eve 🎅🌲 My Mom made Christmas so special. Being German and Irish Mom would make foods from both cultures. I cook for a living and I still feel my Mom was the best cook! I cooked today for a group of Seniors and homeless folks Learn as much as you possibly can from your Mom. She’s a blessing to you both! Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas! May God shine his loving light on you and your loved ones! My wife and I will have a birthday cake for Jesus tomorrow and eat Chinese food out which is our tradition.
We were poorer than dirt growing up. We saved everything, lol. We had simple foods during Christmas and simple gifts under a spars decorated Christmas tree. Most of our gifts were wrapped in newspaper and when we finally could afford wrapping paper we thought, wow we are rich. Memories are precious and we treasure all those Christmas times when our mom stretched a little bit of money into a special time to remember.
I have not started new Christmas traditions, but find myself dreaming about the absolutely beautiful traditions of my past. When I was very young mom would take us (my younger sister, my grandpa and me) to the Tulsa Christmas parade. That was the only time of year when picking up candy off of the street was okay to stick in your pockets and eat throughout the day. When I asked about it that very thing I was told "Because Santa is magic so the candy he throws out from his sleigh in the parade doesn't get dirty." Made perfect sense! We were downtown Tulsa so after the parade we would shop in, what seemed to be , huge multi-leveled department stores, for Christmas gifts always ending up in Kress where there was a soda fountain and we would all get our favorite flavor of soda. We would head home to drop off the gifts then go Christmas tree hunting. Finding the best tree each year would find us back home to get ready to go see The Nutcracker Ballet. We were financially poor although extremely family wealthy, we had to sit in the 'nose-bleed' seats. Back then the venue wasn't even close to the size Tulsa has now. Decorating the tree was a big event with "It's a Wonderful Life", "White Christmas", "A Miracle on 42nd Street" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" all setting the mood. I continued these traditions with my children. But instead of Christmas tree stands, when my sons were little (1980's) we began the tradition of heading way out in the country to The Owasso Christmas Tree & Berry Farm, taking the hay ride around the acres and acres of trees and getting off of the hay wagon in whatever section of trees were the height we were looking for, grabbing one of the saws hanging from a rack and cutting down that year's tree. Once cut the young men would tag the tree and drag it to the 'tree wagon' where it would wait with other folk's trees until the wagon was full. We climb aboard the next hay wagon and ride back to The Santa House where you paid for the tree, waited for Santa's Helpers to prep and wrap your tree and there were trinkets, ornaments, cards, wreaths and other holiday items you could buy. You could also take pictures with Santa, drink the free hot apple cider and watch the toy train as it traveled through the little model Christmas Village. Once home we would get ready to see The Nutcracker. Afterwards "It's a Wonderful Life" and the other movies accompanied us while decorating and snacking. I didn't go into the food, that would take volumes as would some of the other traditions dating back as far as my memory allows me to travel. Life changes. Always for the best!!! Even though it may not seem that way to us. All my beautiful children are grown and have families of their own. the closest is 5 hours away with the furthest being 17 hours. The Owasso Christmas Tree & Berry Farm is no longer way out in the country. There is no reason for me to cut down a tree any longer. I have never liked artificial trees, although there are some beautiful fake trees out there. this will be the second year I wonder what to do with the lights and decorations still neatly packed away along with the most blessed memories of when they once embraced the freshly cut pine, or traced the walkway or outline of this home. But as beautiful as it has all been, they aren't the reason for the season!!! That tradition will never pass in this household!! I love your family even though we will probably never meet in person. Your videos, your mom's videos along with The Blind Pig and the Acorn always take me back to my big family. Because of that and the folks you all choose to be, the laughter and happiness filling this house nowadays comes from watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your traditions, your lives and your hearts! You are always a big part in my prayers.
Thank you so very much for sharing your Christmas traditions! My family shares at least three of those traditions: We have oyster stew every Christmas Eve; we have used one box that we have kept from the 1950's to wrap Christmas gifts in; and we take turns opening up gifts, as we like to see the other person's reaction and to explain about the gift. At the beginning of the video when you shared about our Lord Jesus Christ being the reason for the season, it brought tears to my eyes. As you said, if He was not born, there would be no salvation. Thank you once again for your video, indeed for all of your videos! May our Lord bless you and your family with His love, joy, and peace this Christmas season and throughout the coming new year of 2022!
You can pick photos from your photo gallery and google will process them into a photo album, I've been doing this for a few years now and they turn out great, I take them to Thanksgiving and Christmas and set them out on the living room table for everyone to look at. Everyone is always shocked at how good the cellphone pictures look , but I just remind them most everyone's phone is likely a 12 megapixel minimum and they should take some pictures and get them developed!
Watching this again, in 2024. As Christmas approaches, who knew you both would be parents to precious baby boys 2 years later, who have the privilege of growing up in this beautiful, loving family. I can't wait to see how you celebrate the birth of our Lord on the 1st Christmas with those babies. 💚💙 I laughed when Katie was talking about Miss Cindy's cat, and here she has sweet Binks, who would have thought, right Katie? 😺😄
When we were little, my dad would take us shopping for our mom's gifts from us kids. Most memorable is when my brother was about 4, he gave my mom a can of green beans. Dad let us pick what we wanted within the budget, and that's what my brother gave her. This year I'm grateful for you two and your family coming into my life via UA-cam. Watching and listening to y'all is one of my best ways to relax. Blessed be, and may light continue to shine on your house(s)!
Wishing y'all a Fun Filled, Action Packed, Exciting, Griswold type Family Christmas! 🤣 Just kidding, 🙂 y'all stay Safe and Enjoy your Special time Celebrating Jesus's Birth with Family and Friends! God Bless y'all!! P.S. Save room for Desert!😃
Oh my goodness, we sing happy birthday to Jesus too!! It wasn’t a part of my childhood but since having children of my own, I wanted to start it as a tradition with my family♥️Ten years strong!
My favorite Christmas tradition was dad didn't make me herd the cattle from one grazing pasture to another. We would leave them in the same pasture for about 3 days.
Yep we have oyster stew and pizza every Christmas eve. The stew was from Dad's family. but Mom didn't like it so he would make home made pizza for her.
I have 8 grandchildren so I start buying Christmas gifts in June each year. I have a special tub that I put gifts into so I won’t forget what I bought😉
My favorite Christmas movie is ... It`s a Wonderful Life. And the old favorites... Frosty, Rudolf the red nose reindeer... The Grinch that stole Christmas...Lol......
You ladies are just so sweet. The Polar Express is so dear to my heart also. My oldest son loved trains when he was a little boy. My son was in the Army and was deployed for a couple of years at Christmas. He got to come the year the movie came out. We all went to see it and I think I cried through the majority of it just watching him watch it and thanking God for brining him home. Merry Christmas and know each and everyone of you are blessed from GA.
I love all your Christmas memories, thanks for sharing them with us! One of my favorite Christmas memories actually takes place before Christmas. When I was about 12 years old, my best friend, Tonna, and I were allowed to ride the city bus from our little town to Charleston, WV (about four miles) to Christmas shop for our families. Our parents gave us some shopping money and we thought we were so grown up! These were the days when things were a lot safer, in the mid sixties. We would shop until we got hungry and then we'd go to Woolworth's lunch counter for a grilled cheese and a chocolate shake, sooo delicious! You girls probably never even heard of Woolworth's before, but it was a wonderful store back in the day. What a precious memory!
The reason your channel is so special is the two of you. You are the real deal and that can’t be faked. You love and and are loved and for myself I think you are both wonderful.
I'm so glad how close your family is. I have twin girls and you guys remind me of them, of course they are 50 yrs old now. Well I'm 70 and I have seen a lot of white Christmas's, so when I was younger. I believe because last year was so bad and depressing that the Lord gave us a white Christmas, I know my family was surprised Christmas morning. Love you guys videos 😍.
Just wanted to let ya'll know I found you and your moms channels recently and they are now my favorites. I live over here in Macon County in Western North Carolina born and raised. I enjoy listening and learning more of the old ways here in the mountains! May God continue to bless your family, Merry Christmas!
It's good to see you young ladies so excited about Christmas. For me it's another day of the week. I'm 70 now and live in a old soldiers home. I close my door with a do not disturb sign on it. This time of the year is so depressing, but it makes me happy to see you happy about it. I put all my pictures in the incinerator and set fire to them all. So no more pictures or memories of this time of year. Have a great holiday.
Liked the vlog soooo much! You made me giggle and awwweeee! Sweet memories! When my 2 brothers were young....I was the oldest.....my daddy worked shift work. When daddy worked the night shift he got home about 7 a.m. My mother "slept" in a chaise lounge lawn chair across my brothers bedroom door so that she could keep them from coming out before daddy got home. Thank goodness when they passed that stage. 😂. Hope your family has had a truly blessed and fun day! 🎄❤️🎄❤️🎄
Beautiful video . You said you would love to give everyone a present . You do . You take the time to record videos and share them . You share your lives . You have done videos to remind us of the Lord , what he can do for us . You are a gift . God Bless , Merry Christmas. You bring joy and comfort to my life . Knowing that there are such wonderful people out there . You two are gifts . Glad your Momma shares you . 😀
Your throwback videos are truly special, girls, no matter the occasion. Seeing and hearing you remember and reminisce about favorite Christmas traditions and special memories (and seeing the photos) was a genuine treat. Katie's comment early on about Matt's deer roast cooking all night long in the oven and permeating the entire house with its heavenly aroma reminded me: "Nothin' says lovin' like somethin' from the oven." And that gets confirmed on a regular basis in the Pressley household.
I love that saying, I will have to start using it! Thank you for always watching and supporting us, it means a lot to us! God bless you and Merry Christmas! 🎅🎁🎄
It's already Christmas Day here in Australia. I woke to a heavy downpour on my tin roof at 3:00 a.m. . Now that I'm up, the downpipe dwellers are croaking in the two down pipes and the sky is overcast. " Do They Know It's Christmas After All ? " A Merry Christmas to you happy girls , your family and many subscribers. And God Bless.
One of my first gun's came from K-Mart! We had a K-Mart that was still open in little rock just a few years ago. It was one of the last remaining stores open, actually I miss them now that I think about it. Do y'all remember blue light special's 😄
It no biggie, it was just basically a metal laundry basket on wheels that had a pole with a blue light at the top that would flash and K-Mart would place it next to bins that we're marked down and if you happened to be in store when something went on blue light special it was like Christmas cuz mom would likely buy a few, sometimes shirt's or clothes of some kind but usually a good deal! Merry Christmas Katie & Corie 💝 your stories are truly a gift and always brighten your day!
K-Mart is actually a great department store in other countries like Australia. When I was younger, like almost 45 years ago, K-Mart was the place to be. More expensive was Sears and Roebuck. I loved when the blue light special went off in the store. LOL. And they had the best subs!! Merry Christmas!
Thanks for sharing your memories and your lives with us. You become family to all that know you and don’t have family of their own, you fill the void and by so doing you please Christ. You’re a blessing that is warmly received. 🎄🎄Merry Christmas 🎄🎄❤️🇺🇸✝️
Merry Christmas to you all! It was fun hearing your traditions through the years, and the uncertainty in Corie's voice for what future Christmas will be, as she will be married and have a whole other family tree to consider and figure out. May I offer a piece of advice for you, Corie, do not try to do both families the same day. Many newlyweds try to do that and it will only stress you two out. Either alternate years with each family Christmas day or work out something else. We tried the extended family party with my family (2hr drive 1 way), rush back home to catch midnight mass with his family, Christmas dinner twice...too much! We ended up just doing Christmas day at home with ourselves (and later with our son), and visiting with family before/later day of/next day Christmas as weather/we felt we could best handle it and be even to both families. Eventually we talked both families into letting us host a holiday supper, as we have the largest house and flattest driveway to accommodate 100 cars. We usually ended up hosting Thanksgiving. White Christmas...Here in PA we almost always do have a white Christmas, I remember a handful of times when we have not, this year looks like it won't be, one year in the 1970's it was downright warm! we were all playing outside without coats on. When we lived in Knoxville, TN one Christmas we woke up to a beautiful 3" light snow, absolutely perfect! It was all melted and gone by 1pm. My kind of winter! (I love the song, Tender TN Christmas)
I’m your mamas age and yet your Christmas photos remind me of my own as a child. So many similar type memories. I love that y’all were raised and still love the simple joys the Holidays bring. A Very Merry Christmas to you and yours🕊🙏🏻🕊🥰🎄🎅🏼
My Grandmaw always fixed the Oyster stew for my papaw, it was his family tradition as well, I never eat it, yuck for me, he was born and raised in Lancaster, KY. We saved our tissue paper and boxes and bags and bows LOL. . I just recently last month found the abandoned houses to, I will look up the guy you watch, it is so cool to see what is left behind and the decay of the homes. Merry Christmas Ladies
We go around the room and make it last by each person opening one as we go around. It worked really well when our kids were little because if we had let them open all theirs their attention to see others open theirs would have been none. As it was they knew their turn was coming so they were all in waiting for their turn. And you are right you get to see what everyone gets, to thank people and to comment. And gift giving lasts a long fun time. Merry Christmas to yall and God Bless!! I am too full of cake to lay down and go to sleep lol 🎄🎅🦌
What a wonderful video, I love seeing you two so happy and I love seeing the things that are important to you two. You really have a family-oriented value system. I am so proud of you two girls just like a grandmother should be. I love you both so very much!
I really enjoyed this alot ! Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures of past Christmases and stories and your traditions....I am sure you will continue some traditions with your husband, like the deer roast and muffin and start your own traditions.... last year it was cold and a very beautiful snow , this year it is a warm holiday....appreciate y'all....God bless....Merry Christmas.....🙏❤
I remember one Christmas, I was probably...7,8, maybe 9. My dad was a smoker at the time and I had found a really nice Zippo lighter that I thought he would like. So... I found every size of box from small to large and wrapped them all, one inside the other all the way down to the small box the lighter came in... we laughed for a long time over that one!
I only found your channel a few months ago. I've enjoyed every one of your videos. You two are two very special ladies. I wish you both continued good health and happiness. Happy New Year too! I'll be watching. 👍😁
I don`t have anyone this year, just like the last several years. So... I`ll be spending it watching videos of you guys I haven`t seen yet! The best present I`ve had in years is coming from you guys... Tipper had you guys mail me out some seeds... I can`t wait!! Thank you so much!!!!
Yet another fun video! It was nice to hear about your traditions :D I agree, Christmas did get here very fast this year! My family has always done a nice quiet evening and had a great meal for Christmas Eve, and then for Christmas day either watched Christmas movies or went to see extended family. I hope you both have a Merry Christmas! God bless you all! 🎄🎅
Merry Christmas to the both of you and your family. Thanks for sharing your your Christmas memories, reminds me of my childhood. BTW thank you Katie for sending the mountain stud earrings I purchased for my wife quickly. Christmas snuck up on me this, and had to do everything last minute. They are very beautiful I hope she loves them.
I know what you mean about K-Mart. When I was young, that place was magical to me.
Kmart ❤️

Merry Christmas! Thank you!
That is the most wonderful thing to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus! I have never even thought to do that, but now I will!
My favorite Christmas movie is ... It`s a Wonderful Life. And the old favorites... Frosty, Rudolf the red nose reindeer... The Grinch that stole Christmas...Lol......
😊💖🐶🐶🧑🎄🤶 we had oyster cocktail! And oyster dressing!😋
Sounds cool!
I too love watching all the abandoned places explored on UA-cam.
What a sweet story, thank him for his service for us and Merry Christmas!
Thanks for sharing, that’s such a sweet memory! You’re right, I don’t know what that is! Lol. Merry Christmas!
When I was a kid I thought oysters were disgusting but now oysters in the holidays is a special treat.
MERRY CHRISTMAS...
Make sure Granny gets a bunch of great big long soft squeezy hugs.😊
Thank you Phillip, Merry Christmas! 🎁🥰🎄
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family! 🥰🎄 I will be yelling "CHRISTMAS GIFT" to SOMEONE tomorrow! 🤣

Yes, I'm subscribed to exploring with Josh too! 🙂
Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!
That’s a great looking Christmas tree erected at Pressley Headquarters.

Just wanted to let ya'll know I found you and your moms channels recently and they are now my favorites. I live over here in Macon County in Western North Carolina born and raised. I enjoy listening and learning more of the old ways here in the mountains! May God continue to bless your family, Merry Christmas!
So glad you found us, God bless you and Merry Christmas! 🎄
Ladies' morning, Merry Christmas.
Good morning and Merry Christmas!
Katie, We gave our granddaughters your jewelry for Christmas 🎄.....all 3 of them loved them!!!
Thank you 😊
So glad they liked it! Merry Christmas!

You have done videos to remind us of the Lord , what he can do for us . You are a gift . God Bless , Merry Christmas. You bring joy and comfort to my life . Knowing that there are such wonderful people out there . You two are gifts . Glad your Momma shares you . 😀
Awe, thank you Mary! Merry Christmas and God bless you! 🙏🥰🎄
3:56, I did that with my kids, we would sing Happy Birthday to Jesus!
A Merry Christmas to you happy girls , your family and many subscribers.
And God Bless.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Charles! 🥰🎄
One of my first gun's came from K-Mart! We had a K-Mart that was still open in little rock just a few years ago. It was one of the last remaining stores open, actually I miss them now that I think about it. Do y'all remember blue light special's 😄
I didn’t get to see any of the Blue Light Specials, but I wished I did! 😂 Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!🎄🎁
I've gagged gifted my nephews with Barbie dolls, they were not amused. 😋
Merry Christmas, I bet that would have been a sight to see!
MERRY CHRISTMAS. KATIE ,CORIE AND FAMILY. GOD BLESS.
Thank you, Merry Christmas and God bless you! 🥰🎅🎄
Happy Birthday Jesus!!! And wishing ya'll a Very Blessed Christmas full of Beautiful Memories!!! God Bless. Jean

Thanks for sharing your memories and your lives with us. You become family to all that know you and don’t have family of their own, you fill the void and by so doing you please Christ. You’re a blessing that is warmly received. 🎄🎄Merry Christmas 🎄🎄❤️🇺🇸✝️
Thank you so much Noah, God bless you and Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁 🎅
I love everything about you girls. Total sweethearts!
Thank you!
Merry Christmas, Presley girls! 🎄
Merry Christmas! 🎅🥰🎄
We take turns. One gift at a time.
I love watching your UA-cam channel and your mother’s. It brings back memories of my own upbringing in rural Devon, England.
Love the old photos. Merry Christmas, girls!
That’s cool that you have the same gift tradition too! Being full of cake is a good thing lol! God bless you and Merry Christmas!

A lovely post, thank you. Merry Christmas to you and yours 🎄.
Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!

Yet another fun video! It was nice to hear about your traditions :D
I agree, Christmas did get here very fast this year! My family has always done a nice quiet evening and had a great meal for Christmas Eve, and then for Christmas day either watched Christmas movies or went to see extended family.
I hope you both have a Merry Christmas! God bless you all! 🎄🎅
Thank you! Merry Christmas, those sound like wonderful traditions!
