  • This is my attempt at sushi for the 4th or 5th time now and I'm slowly getting the hang of the rice prep...which is THEE most important part of sushi believe it or not...then its the fish quality/cut..then sauces...and toppings last. I prepped this recipe to my liking with spicy and citrus flares, but you can go about it however you want. Customize it and enjoy!!

Your videos are therapeutic. You inspire me to cook in calm and relaxed manner and keep counter clean . Having a wet towel near by is smart. Love the clip of the kids eating at the end

Firstly, you sir have some badass knife skills! AND, I went to college in Anchorage, Alaska, and we are SERIOUS about that salmon! The more wild-caught, the better. That Sockeye you have here is GORGEOUS! I am a flavor person, (Baton Rouge, Louisiana is my home state, and we are just as serious about our seafood, too! South Louisiana seafood is legit! Anyway, I am gonna make this! Thank you!

I love the very approachable style since ofcourse not everyone can be a sushi chef, but it's fun to "cook"

That dressing/dipping sauce looks really really really good!
I'd add a little fine julienne ginger in the mix too 🤤

Your citrus soy is almost like a ponzu sauce. Actually very similar, at my restaurant we do a habanero ponzu with soy, habanero, but also other citrus. It doesn’t really add much heat but an amazing habanero flavor! Love this!

I’m really interested in the rice cooker, as someone who cooks a lot of rice on the stove top.

Followed your channel for several years now, my first recipe I followed was the fish and chips with the Stella Cidre, very delicious! You never seem to disappoint. Have you ever made a green pozole?

Woah!! I had soooo much fun with Stella that year! Glad you enjoyed the fish and chips…always melts my heart to hear from an OG foodie fam. Never even tasted green pazole, but now I’m dying to try it. Great idea.
