Mobile gamers can especially benefit from this but it's about the OEM implementation. This reduces heat and greatly eases the load on the battery. Unfortunately not many have adopted this feature yet.

I don’t care about that, because Apple is manipulating my battery health percentage anyway. My battery health dropped from 96% to 90% in two weeks. Not to mention that it dropped from 90% to 88% in just one day. Which is impossible the battery to degrade so quick. Always charged with the original charger and cable and the phone was never heavily used (gaming, video editing etc). Only calls and social networks. And mostly charged to around 80%. Mobile gamers can especially benefit from this but it's about the OEM implementation. There's a feature called "Battery Idle" on new Samsung S24 devices that allows the phone to use power directly from the charger instead of the battery while gaming. This reduces heat and greatly eases the load on the battery. Unfortunately not many have adopted this feature yet.
Mine only charges to 70 but it’s bad because I take my phone to school so by the end of the day it’s at 20 percent
It doesn't stop at 90%, its supposed to redice the rate of charge after 90% to 100% ……… what should i do now?
I turned of battery optimization but my 15 pro still dont get past 80%, is it normal?
Same here. I don’t know why
I’m glad I’m not the only one, since I got the phone it’s never gone to 100% and I feel like my battery dies so fast 🥲
Hi, I own a iPhone 15 and was thinking of it is okey to charge the device atleast 3 times a day. I only charge till 80 since i follow the 80 20 rule. I am kind of a heavy user as my average screen on time is 10 hrs can I
My 3 year old economical Samsung has this feature but my IPhone 14 Pro Max does have this. This is BS like many from Apple.
Is this feature only for 15 series?
Yes
Watch the video. He LITERALLY says so
I don’t care about that, because Apple is manipulating my battery health percentage anyway. So… if it’s lasting through the day I don’t care is it 100% health or 50%.
Any ideas on how to do this with an older iPhone
iphone pricing is ridiculous esp. with this condition, also the overheating while using mobile data, they cant fix, iphones price should be as low as android phones, dont fool us with your bionic chip, cant even include fast charging powerbrick
I have one plus 7 pro since mid 2019 . So 4.5 years and I have quick charged and not paid attention to full charge or not. I still get 6 hours screen on time and 24 hours use . iPhones just suck
My iphone xr is 5 years old and its still at 80% I charge it at 100% but charges it whenever I want to but ky iphone 14 is at 98% already and its only 2 months! I charge it at 98% 😢
But if i charge iPhone 80% everyday that mean i use 60% of 100% battery so i have to charge 2/3 a day that makes cycle count fast for this reason my battery health can reduce and according to apple thay said cycle count is about battery health
What about setting the iPhone 16 charging limit to 90 instead of 80 percent
I also wanna ask about this
iPhone 15 Pro Max. I set the limit to 80% but after trying to charge it 4 times it still charges over 80%. Is this normal?
.
"With 80% Limit enabled, your iPhone will occasionally charge to 100 percent to maintain accurate battery state-of-charge estimates."
. Apple says the iPhone will occasionally charge to 100% in order to maintain a more accurate battery state-of-charge estimate
Same here, set it for the past few days, every charge still over 80% LMAO.
So if like that how many times u charges in one day ?if u use for watch movie, games, anything chat vedeocall… any sugest i have new iphone 15 pro max one day only i used then cahrges again
Might also happen if you just got your phone, it will keep charging at 100% for the first 7 to 10 days to collect data on your battery usage so that you have better optimization later on
I turned my iphone to charge to 80% but if i leave the phone charging it will charge to 100
Wild that you made this video being factually wrong about the software that controls it AND the physics of the LiPo batteries
I did enable 80% of charging limit on my iPhone 15pro . But when I charge my phone it always goes up to 80%. Is there anything wrong happening?
I had the same experience as well. Try to redo the process of changing it and put it back to 80% then restart ur phone. This method works for me. I hope it will work for you as well. Thanks
With 80% should we disconnect on 80 or should wait for 100%
When i set to 80% limit apple claims that it will occasionally charge up to 100% in that case should i chage till 100% or below 100 like 90 or , 95 ??
Bro your screen is shaking crazy
Actually my iPhone XS doesn’t charge pass 80% unless I plug it on my sleep
Can you tell me what happened to mine? I set 80 % limit but it goes past to 95 %
my 15 pro battery health is down 2% in just 1 month with 30 cycle of charge! i always charge it 35-95% and once a day ! even i rarely use my phone, because i always use other phone! its so weird! smh!
😮 Same as mine
@@cltybcltyb85 I wonder, now what is your battery health percent? Mine is 97% 198 cycles. After updated to ios 18
I charge only for 2 hours and when I check it on 95 %... So I just unplugged it...
I set on for 80 % limit but why it still goes up to 80?
I don't care. I charge it to 100% and disconnect the second it reaches 100. Why they don't just limit to 80 and call it the new 100!? Why bother having extra 20% and not being able to use it. smh
Is it the same for AirPods and watch’s batteries ?
But you can simply get them replaced when the battery is dead
🤨Lemme get this right... U guys buy a $1k+ phone but a $80 battery replacement is where we draw the line? 🤦🏿♂️
Im doing it for the environment 👍🏿
i have activate on my iPhone 15 regular...but i don´t decided yet wich is best to charge...
but i think that i will mantain the 80% limit...and if necessary make 1 or 2 charge per day...
Thank you for making this! I don’t have a 15-series yet, but a fairly new 14 Pro Max.
My ex was VERY anal when it came to phone charging. They’d only start charging their phone when the battery got under 20%, and they wouldn’t EVER take it from the charger unless it was fully charged 👀
But others charge their iphones to 100 % overnight. There are so many myths regarding charging.
Then why does Optimized Battery Charging even an option.
To reduce the battery go aged when u charge overnight everytime
Because sometimes, when you are outdoors for the whole day taking photos and making calls, chatting on WhatsApp, for example while traveling, you would wish to start the day with 100%. In such cases, I switch from 80% limit to Optimized Battery Charging
So should you do that 0 to 100 full circle every month anymore?
I will never upgrade my phone to get this silly option while iphone ios has loads of silly issues
How about limit 85% or 90%?
Which software can I download to limit my iPhone 14 pro Max battery to charge Max of 80%?
Its only available for 15s
Anyone having issues while the phone is on charging? Mine keeps showing the pop up charging animation and sound in every 2-3mins
I don’t have this option in my iPhone SE why apple
For iphone 15 gamer 80 battery limit or optimized battery charging is better..?
Samsung has that feature on S10 5g, 85% limit.
Is 80%limit better than optimized?
did you find the answer to it ?
@@Jah-vo7wwunfortunately no but i think optimized is better
Does anybody know if we do anything different for the new iPhone 16 Pro?? which I just picked up!
I want to make the life of my battery last as long as possible !
I need some advice
What should I do?
Same, let me know if you get an answer
Whwre is charging optimization located???
Not true ! After I activate 80limit this option within 1 week my battery go 2% lower !!!! Keep normal way better
