There is one important fact to keep in mind and that's batteries get chemically degraded no matter how you gonna treat with it although air and temperature can make some difference but it's mostly about how much you use your phone and the work load pressure you put on the battery and there's nothing you can do to stop or prevent aging or degrading process, unless you don't use your device that much other than simple phone call answers of light usage. Every video is differs in how and when to charge, and what percentages. I’m always draining my battery completely and operating it under 20% and leaving it in charge over night. My phone is 6 months old and my battery health is now 93%
Does it get lower than 20% by the time you go to sleep ? Or earlier? What i mean is do you only need to charge it once which is at bed time when it already gets to 20%? Or do you charge it throughout the day
I have two questions unclear. 1. Whether we can charge iPhone the 100% or not. You speak so fast that I could not catch up on that particular point, even though I repeatedly stopped the video and replayed that part again and again. 2. Same is the case about overnight charging the iPhone. Whether we (I) can charge overnight or not.
I feel that the optimized charge is an over engineered feature in the iPhone. I mean, it forces me to charge every night so it can learn my patterns of sleep but I think it is unnecessary. I have my alarm clock at 6:30 and the phone set to not disturb until same time. What else does it need to know? With this system sometimes my phone is 80% when I arrive at home because I have been driving and using CarPlay, so if I skip this night the phone will start to forget my times.

I'm just saying about this that a smartphone that can't be charged overnight to 100% is not a smartphone in its name. I have been using iphone for 5 years and always charge overnight and in the morning to the office without having to bring a charger and the performance of my iphone 8plus is still healthy and now 86% after 5 years of using it. The trick is I never use a cable that is sold cheaply unless it is completely original from an iphone or an approved standard. That's all
But the problem with low power mode automation while charging is that you have to manually disable the low power mode once you removed yar phone from charging. It’s a tad of inconvenience.
hi, you are probably not gonna see this but does it hurt the battery to be charged multiple times, like, I'm at 54%, charge until 60%, then unplug it then charge a bit more...

The problem with leaving your phone to charge overnight isn't that it will "overcharge" whatever that means, it's that it will go to 100%. Going from 80% to 100% is the main thing that can reduce the lifespan of your battery as you point out later in the video.
@@aliciapark6241 That’s what’s recommended for maximising the lifespan of your battery but some people argue it doesn’t make that much of a difference. If it’s not easy or convenient for you to do that I’d say don’t worry about it too much.

I just got the iphone 12 and the first time I charged it, it got a little bit hot/warm. do you think that the brick is causing a problem or is that normal behaviour? I am using the stronger brick that charges 20W for faster charging (it charged from 0% to 100% in about an hour or two) instead of 18W or 15W that charge slower.

Btw im using Mcdodo auto cut cable and 12w iphone power adapter, but the problem is idk when the auto cut will activated 😂 but overall my phone battery life is all okay normal.. and my iphone X battery health now is 91%
How long have you been using your iphone x?
Every video is differs in how and when to charge, and what percentages. I’m always draining my battery completely and operating it under 20% and leaving it in charge over night. My phone is 6 months old and my battery health is now 93%
Does it get lower than 20% by the time you go to sleep ? Or earlier?
What i mean is do you only need to charge it once which is at bed time when it already gets to 20%? Or do you charge it throughout the day
Is this for all iPhones, older ones as well?
I have two questions unclear. 1. Whether we can charge iPhone the 100% or not. You speak so fast that I could not catch up on that particular point, even though I repeatedly stopped the video and replayed that part again and again. 2. Same is the case about overnight charging the iPhone. Whether we (I) can charge overnight or not.
He said it's ok to leave phone charging overnight, iOS stops charging once it hits 100%
Its amazing what an iPhone can do amazing phone I have an iPhone 14 pro love it.
The 20w bricks also come with HomePod Minis!!!
Charge it with a fast charger only to 80% except for the days where you absolutely need it to be 100%. There.
Ummm. Imo, that is not true. I think I read it somewhere too
@@evernaur1648 LMAO so "in your opinion" and you "think" you read it somewhere. This is literally the info you find on Apple's website and on any lithium ion battery care guides EVERYWHERE. GTFO with your dumb ass opinions and look at the MANUFACTURER'S GUIDES.
@@brotendo you are right we dont need to charge all the way to 100 we shoud keep 40% to 80% as much as we can and shouldn't drain 0%
@@brotendo ✨ouch 🥲✨
@@Bhagyee Yes, exactly. Unfortunately we keep upgrading our devices before our batteries even get below 85% lifetime capacity lol.
That's all

Is it bad to charge your phone with low power mode?
definitely not.
@@bowiebcc WHY??
@@scomiche7618 definitely not means that its is good to charge with low power mode, which means it is NOT BAD
What’s your wallpaper name?how can I get it?
But the problem with low power mode automation while charging is that you have to manually disable the low power mode once you removed yar phone from charging. It’s a tad of inconvenience.
Make an automation that when u disconnect it turns off ;)
@@imdanidays how do you do that?
@@dm7837 turn the low power mode off when charger is disconnected.
@@dm7837 use the shortcuts app.
Oh my 🙄
The best way to recharge is to complete a full charge at once, like leave it on charge all night, no segmented recharge is advised
hi, you are probably not gonna see this but does it hurt the battery to be charged multiple times, like, I'm at 54%, charge until 60%, then unplug it then charge a bit more...
I think so
Can I use a different brand like Anker?
And do live wallpapers consume battery?
Yes 🙃
No yeah this is why my background is like a glitter yellow and black that way I don't think it will drain fast like that
Is buying a 18w charger from Apple good for iPhone 11?
I am using mi power bank regularly with original cable
Will it damage battery ????
Iphone xr
Yes, regular use of power banks will definitely ruin the phone battery .
Is it safe to charge while I am using the iphone?
It says low power mode charges your iPhone faster, but what if you already have a fast charger ? I have the 18W and I don’t see a difference
True
Still does charge faster, and even faster if you turn your phone off
Dude is using fast charging safe for iPhone?
@@keyboardms22 actually it’s not the best for battery health so try to not use it when you are at home sleeping or shit
You’re fucking your battery up using the fast charging cable.
One year later and my 12 already lost 15 percent of its battery health and I only use the proper charge pad or cables and blocks. My old 8 plus had better battery health after 4 years!

Thank you very much. These phones have a huge learning curve & this very helpful.
The problem with leaving your phone to charge overnight isn't that it will "overcharge" whatever that means, it's that it will go to 100%. Going from 80% to 100% is the main thing that can reduce the lifespan of your battery as you point out later in the video.
so overcharging?
I have an ipad so should i charge it till %80? and should i start charging at %20?
@@aliciapark6241 That’s what’s recommended for maximising the lifespan of your battery but some people argue it doesn’t make that much of a difference. If it’s not easy or convenient for you to do that I’d say don’t worry about it too much.
@@n4n1damn thank you
I get it in a scientific standpoint, but what is the point in building bigger and bigger batteries if all we’re ever REALLY going to use is 50-60 percent of its actual capacity??
when should i remove from charger should I wait till 100
Good video helped out a lot ❤️
Well, I have insignia 18 white charger , they say is Apple approved is that right?
I have noticed that Optimized battery setting when it’s ON downgrades very fast the battery Health percentage ( maximum capacity) of your phone .
No it slows down your charging to avoid being 100% quickly!! Also it learns how u often charge ur device
Is it okay using Anker 20W charger on iPhone 13?
that automation shortcut is really great
Is it ok to use phone whilst charging ?
Hey, it good to turn on low power mode all the time?
No, only turn on low power mode when your iPhone is low on charge (10%-30%). When low power mode is on it will discard some useful features.

Anything that comes from anker is safe, if anyone is worried about what he said about cables and charging bricks, just don’t go buy something for the dollar store or something that’s cheap. Usually means to good to be true.
hello! I have a question about this: I bought a 20W brick from a certified apple reseller in my country (because we don't have apple stores here) for about 25$, it is the reseller's own brand, while the original apple 20W brick is sold for about 40$.
@@minajeremic how's your battery life now?

Can I charge it whenever I want to and not worry about the health?
Why did my 12 not come with the charging brick, At this point I would have been happy just to be able to CHARGE my phone at all.
Apple stopped shipping charging bricks after iPhone 11 release because they're trying to "reduce electronic waste" and also they say most people buying iPhones already have chargers from previous iPhones they own
i did same but still battrey drains
i think they set that on purpose even i think that ios updates are designed in a way secretley to drain battery power so as to force people to shell out money & buy more
My recos are to charge your phone always and don’t let the battery drop below 20% or be drained. I learned this from my Electronics II professor.
My iphone xs max is almost 3 years old and has 93% battery health.
