I am considering this tool, as there are few cordless battery tools with that reach. I already have the Husqvarna 520i Ht4, which i like in terms of its weight, reach and adjustability, but it just isnt durable for professional use. The EGO unit seems robust, has good reach, adjustability seems a similar mechanism to the Husky ( requires two hands). It would definitely be an advantage having the cutting head as removable and therefore replaceable, as the cutting head failing has been the big failung in my husky. Do you have any thoughts on using the EGO in the rain? I accept its a heavy tool, but i will use a petrol Stihl for cutting efficiency and use tge telescopic husky just for extra reach, so the weight is not a big problem for me if it is well balanced.

Don't use the backpack thing. The battery counterbalances it.

I’m sorry i disagree.
I find the balance is better without the battery. So much less weight and I can use this tool for hours on end with little body strain. Once you put the battery on and increase tool from 3.6kg to 6.5kg productivity reduces, body fatigue, soreness. Especially on big hedges.
