I would have been crying after seeing the broke drive shaft. And with the broken motor and trans mounts and the broken drive shaft? That engine and trans were pushed back hard. Hopefully there isn't any deeper engine damage. I do love your optimism. I'm here for the ride and am looking forward to the next episode. And don't forget to wear safety glasses especially when under the car.
It was an opening moment for sure seeing all of that stuff broken. But like you said I'm optimistic! I have to be to keep a project like this moving forward!
considering how it moved, most probably the cylinders are scratched by pistons moving slightly with a non-directional movement or with it but with additional force pushing them into an angle, and the worst part is that the pistons are now also damaged with the connecting rod (and the bearing within the piston for connecting rod)
Definitely worth the watch!! I don’t think I’ve seen anybody fix a car so damaged telling by how you work you really know your stuff! Which makes this channel even better! I like that you break the build down in detail without it being boring and super informative! Amazing man keep up the good work!
Thanks so much that means a lot! I like to try to keep a healthy balance of entertainment but also want to teach you what I know. Thanks for being here :)
Oh man. You are brave. Can't wait for this series to unfold... I learnt so much about the internal combustion engine from your last series. I have a feeling that this series would be even better. We are going to learn so much about how cars are really made, and how to fix them. Seriously, your videos should be on a auto mechanic school's reference list. Excellent content.
Up until the first minute i was gonna comment "what a score for $5k". Now I'm thinking "yikes". I don't think I've seen any other UA-camr take on a project like this. This is gonna be a major project, both for you and your wallet. Can't wait for the next episode! Please make it a long episode 🙏🏻 and good luck!
Thanks man I always appreciate seeing you in the comments! I don't know if I've mentioned this before but for some reason you are the only person I get notifications for on my phone if you comment! It's the weirdest thing I don't get a notification for any comments but yours lol
Sometimes you have to take big risks and get hurt to make it big ya know 😎 Need this video to hit some big numbers to help me pay for all of this though lol
Thats quite a big project. I will saying buying a parts car for this one would make much more sense rather than buying all those damaged parts at the dealer or elsewhere.
Yes actually I think I'm going to try and repair the quarter panel because they are hard to find! It'll be my first frame repair and first dent repair so wish me luck lol
Love the vids bro. I gotta say tho, with how much damage this car has sustained, you've overpaid for it. Stuff happens when you purchase a car sight unseen. Excited to see how it all comes along. I just hope you dont break the bank trying to fix the supra. Good Luck!
Thanks! And yea there is a lot of damage and I definitely won't be making money on the build. But that's ok I did it for the fun and for you guys! I really do enjoy what I do so not making any money on the car is ok with me! If it comes down to it I can always part it out but I really don't see that happening! :D
@ShawnzeyRacing I think most car ppl focus on the content more than on music. In my opinion it only distracts. Look at the vids from M539. The way he cuts his vids is similar to yours. But without music. I find it more appealing. Very snappy. And please do us all a favor and keep buying cars we as normal ppl can afford or at least can relate to. Small channels get big, and they end up buying lambos, Ferraris, McLarens and so on. Not as interesting as affordable cars. Keep up the great work and good luck growing your channel. And be transparent with your budget. It's always interesting to see if a project made sense from a financial perspective. And how many views are necessary to justify a build like this. When do you break even, when are you able to make profit... I'm always happy to see a good youtuber make profit and is able to earn a decent income. We are here to support good channels, but don't forget us along the way as you grow. 😉
I appreciate the opinions I really do! I have love for most if not all makes and models. That does include more expensive cars like lambos or what not. I want to experience as many cars as I can even the cheaper ones so I won't leave them behind! And I'll always be up front with how much I spend I got nothing to hide along the way. Thanks for watching I'm glad your here :)
Thats a lotta damage:) No wonder it got abandoned for 3 years. Probabably got held onto ti investigate whatever happened to it. This would have went straight to partout/ the crusher in alot of other cases. Even getting 5k worth of parts from this is going to be a struggle. That sawzalled middle console is odd, looking for a transmission park override on this is useless as its all electronic I think. Someone had fun a t the wreckers...
Definitely had some sort of investigation! And I definitely agree that I think they were looking for a neutral switch as they put a bolt in some random holes lol. Funny enough the driveshaft was broken anyway so they didn't need to do that...
Damn dude. That's a big ordeal. I would cry if I were the one who bought it thinking the engine is going to be fine and be the most valuable thing on the car and then to see it rust inside the valve cover. At this point, I suggest buying another wreck supra with slightly less frame damage or.... You could also buy engine failure one because i think that supra still have a good part with insanely low mileage, basically brand new engine part. It's just a suggestion tho, I don't mind you didn't listen to it, if I were to be honest, I'm hoping you just go along with it and fix everything without a donor chassis, that would be sick Before and After Footage 😂
It's definitely a good idea and something I looked into. At the time I could not find any other wrecked Supras that would've worked out so I ended just spending way to much money in parts lol
@@ShawnzeyRacing well, there nothing to do except to just repair it. But at the very least, in the end, you had a supra, a knowledge, a video and something to brag about, right?🤣 The knowledge around is enough to cover all the time and money in my opinion.
After some thought I'm thinking the same thing. The Carfax report says they crashed into a stationary object after going off the road. So I bet insurance was waiting to see if they didn't have to pay out or something.
2JZ swap would be neat but... How about making this as unreliable as possible and shove in an S85 V10 engine in it? And try to make that engine actually reliable for once (rodbearings and all that jazz)?
This Supra was absolutely not financially worth it lol It was definitely for a huge project for me to take on. But next time I'll do something that makes more sense financially too.
Not really, if it's too big of a work he can sell the engine and trans (with some minor work) for prolly 20k or more considering the low miles. Rear taillights 2k and other parts for more money.

Fast alles bmw teile 👍

YESSSS!!! CANNOT WAIT for this series!!
It's gonna be awesome! Glad you're here :)
Can’t wait for ep 2! When I saw the oil cover off I was like “rip”.
The oil cap, valve cover being broken, and seeing the driveshaft carnage were some hard hitting moments for me XD
Definitely worth the watch!! I don’t think I’ve seen anybody fix a car so damaged telling by how you work you really know your stuff! Which makes this channel even better! I’ve not watched this video yet but i did watch the bmw project and wondered where this channel would go next. I must say, I’m pleasantly surprised 👍🏻
glad to hear that! I hope that we can do bigger and cooler projects every time! so going to have to top this again next time!
LOVE FROM SOUTH AFRICA , i have a feeling this channel is going places , God is good ❤
Thank you! I love making these videos so it would be a dream to do this as a job!

I really appreciate it! I'll 100% try to transfer as much knowledge as I can!
This could be the best on UA-cam!
Oh man idk about that but I definitely appreciate the compliment! I'll try to keep that status lol
This is gonna be a big project!
We can do it though! What could go wrong!? :D

I wanted to take on something most don't! And I'd say I'm definitely on track for that goal. First huge order of parts on the way already!
@@ShawnzeyRacing Awesome! I wish you good luck. I already know that car is gonna turn out beautiful
Thanks I'll do my best to deliver!
At this point, buy another crashed Supra and swap-city... Huge project ahead for you, I'm here for it! Excited to see this series
I do check copart often for a donor car but they are always also wrecked in the front lol
I’m really looking forward to this build! Watch you subscriber count is gonna start going way up 👍👍
Man I'm really hoping so! I have high hopes for this video and I'll be pretty disappointed if it doesn't do so hot. But we will see!
@@ShawnzeyRacingI have a good feeling about it. I haven’t seen anyone rebuilding one of these

@@ShawnzeyRacinglol that is strange. When I first commented I saw it was 2.27K subs it’s already up 😃
Love that you took on such a build and not afraid of all the damage on the car, but don't break your back on it :D

Thats quite a big project. I will saying buying a parts car for this one would make much more sense rather than buying all those damaged parts at the dealer or elsewhere.
I definitely looked at buying a parts car but couldn't find anything in the short time frame I had. Gonna be a lot of boxes to open...
Damnn yo I mess with your channel the come up is reaal 🎬👏
Thanks man! Hope one day I can do this with a McLaren or a Lamborghini 😎
Going to be a fun series to watch! Hope you can get it driving without braking the bank 😅
It's definitely going to be expensive! I don't plan on much or any profit from this, just a really good time making it run again!
Can’t believe your channel hasn’t blown up yet, keep up the good work🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks a ton! I'm always praying to the UA-cam algorithm gods! 🤣
I hope u get really famous
With your help we can reach the stars lol ✨
You definitely got me interested I subbed to your channel and I'm eagerly awaiting the next video 👍
I appreciate that! Working on the next video as we speak!
Now I realy want episode 2
Parts are on the way!
Cant wait to see this build!
It's gonna be a big one!
@@ShawnzeyRacing im along for the ride bro!
Happy you're here cause it's gonna be fun!
Dude the shirt at the beginning is sick! Do you have a merch website yet or is it still in the making? Would love to support anyway I can!
Thanks! I'd love to sell merch if enough people are interested! Thanks for showing interest brother!
Looking forward for what's to come! Are you looking to do bodywork yourself, like pulling dents? Would be cool to see.

Great content, loving it. Only one thing, please don't add music to your videos. 😅
Man I go back and forth on this a lot. I'm going to switch to a more chill back ground music and definitely a little quieter in the future videos! :)

Yea I'm learning to repair a frame and I'm going to learn body work and paint too we'll see how that goes lol
@@ShawnzeyRacing can't wait to see it dude. Good luck 🤞
Wow bro I’m just imagining it done already
It's going to cruise along once we get that frame repaired! We just have to hope parts don't take forever to get here!
More then likely there was a court case or police investigation thats why it took 3 years.
After some thought I'm thinking the same thing. The Carfax report says they crashed into a stationary object after going off the road. So I bet insurance was waiting to see if they didn't have to pay out or something.
Should probably start your builds by first washing and cleaning them. Much more satisfying to work on a clean car.
I try to keep it dirty for a detail video but in this case I ended up replacing most of the car anyway 😂
that'll be literally a re-build!
Yea for sure! I think the only parts I wont touch on the repair is the rear suspension lol
You will be the next goonzquad or even better.
Quite the praise thank you! I just hope I can continue to live up to the compliments you guys are nice enough to give me!
2JZ swap would be neat but... How about making this as unreliable as possible and shove in an S85 V10 engine in it? And try to make that engine actually reliable for once (rodbearings and all that jazz)?
A swap would open up so many options but I think the engine is repairable but I will haver to tear into the engine a little more to verify!
The only Toyota i desperately want because it is a better looking BMW z4
I agree the GR Supra body is miles better then the BMW Z4!
Lol you don’t need help. What you need is an intervention from God! 😅😂😂
May God have mercy on my soul...
You gotta get a lift😢
Bendpak help me out 😭
oof
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Why not selling the Supra for parts make good profit and then buy a better damage Supra!!! I Guess is for the videos views !!!
This Supra was absolutely not financially worth it lol It was definitely for a huge project for me to take on. But next time I'll do something that makes more sense financially too.
you payed 5500 too much
Worth every penny 😎
You paid about $5k to much for it
Not really, if it's too big of a work he can sell the engine and trans (with some minor work) for prolly 20k or more considering the low miles. Rear taillights 2k and other parts for more money.
Correct if it does become to much of a price tag I can triple my money with a part out. But where is the fun in that!? :)
