Holy mackerel did I get close my eyes for too long that a 1970 nickels could be worth that much money if they come with full steps at a high grade? wow that’s that’s amazing And I just found a reason to distract myself from work on a lot of paper with opening rolls of nickels in search of some 1970 nickles! The idea that they are considered really scarce is amazing to me.
That's an awful lot of minted nickels that I don't have, lol. Somebody must have them! Come on, Family, check your nickels!!

Did not know that there were no Philadelphia nickels in 1970. I am in the process of hunting a box of nickels and will thoroughly check for any from 1970. That double strike one is pretty cool! Thanks J&B 👍

I have a 70 D that is double struck on mint mark
I got many 1970 d nickels. I've notice one that has mint mark in a lower closer to the rim location. This is rare.

Hello , I have just found a 1976 d bicentennial quarter that shows the side of the drum very distorted and the " E" and " R" also appear to be mashed. It is also in pretty good condition. What advice might would you give? Thanks

So what about 1970 nickels with S mintmark and the stairs don’t have lines of stairs it’s just looks like one line?
I do have the 1970 S with
Rim off center, obscuring designer
I initials and e pluribus unum
and the word liberty.
Some cuds and strikes.
Doubling both sides.

We do collect them. I was we had these to add to our collection. We do have one or two 1970 S's I think. but nothing worth getting excited about.
I have one that the mint mark is lower I believe double struck. I don’t know how to figure out if it’s worth anything. Plus it has like no rim around it.

Hello J&B... interesting video but I have to tell you you're pronouncing Monticello wrong. Instead of the hard C sound you used...the C in Monticello must use its soft sound according to our grammar rules. They say when a C is followed by an E it changes the C to its soft sound. Another example word is cellophane. Some coins are simply packaged in cellophane.
