The dark mode icons on third-party apps, finally! 🔥
Honestly, I thought I was just a pipe dream. I don’t think we’d actually get it. I mean, compared straightforward to nova launcher, or any other android third-party launcher, not all of those icon pack support every single third-party app that developers create. If this supports all third-party asked for dark mode, that’s wonderful!
It looks like it's only applying to app icons that are a solid white icon on some other color, so any app with an icon like that will automatically have a dark version

Hey Aaron I’ve been running iOS 18 beta 3 for a few hours now on my IPhone 12 Mini, No battery updates atm but it feels much smoother then beta 2, animations feel smoother for me and the heat issue has gone away now for me
Update:Battery is similar to last beta, it is still the same extra hour I’ve gotten compared to iOS 17.5.1, iOS 18 is definitely more battery efficient
Did you also have heating just after installing the update and then it went away after about half an hour?

I am running an iPhone 12 And. I’m still having screen time issue anyone else having this issue for the older iPhones?
I’ve had it completely take over an iPhone 11 and 12 to the point of it being useless
And how’s the battery?
Aaron turn on developer mode scroll down in the developer section all the way and over there you will see show audio output in settings that way when you go back into settings, Siri and Siri responses, the option from beta 2 will show!

watchOS 11 beta 3 the photos watch face has changed the time is bigger and I found a few splash screens and there’s new apps that support dark mode now

Idk if it’s just my phone but tinted mode won’t let me change color it will just go back to orginal
Edit: it does let me change color but not how light or dark it is it just goes the darkest it can wich I hate can someone tell me how to fix it?
Liking beta 3 so far. Some of the apps that weren’t working for me on beta 3 are now working. It is very smooth
iOS 18 Beta 2 and 3 have deleted my Siri and Talk-to-Text button. Why is no one talking about this? This is a huge issue that needs attention.
@@SultanTwbh Beta two or three did not do that for me. I have Siri and I am using talk to text right now.
@@krmtdfrg THE issue that needs attention is the fact that I CANT TRUST DEV PROFILES because when I press allow it does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
ok so idk if it’s just my device but i js updated it to this version and i went to change the color of the tint for my icons and i chose a light color and it keeps glitching and darkening it, whether i have light mode on or dark mode it just refuses to stay at a lighter color
Did You check the system fonts in settings? We got 4 new ones. I still don't know what's the use of them, but I did download all of them in the previous beta where I found the others. 😂 Never seen them before.
Tints are broken for me, I cant change how dark or light the color is, it just auto resets to a solid color

I noticed that now with Beta 3 RCS is also here in Germany and probably other countries too. Previously it was only in the USA.
Yeah working with Telekom but... No one uses SMS anyway. Everyone I know is using Whatsapp.
The music app is really buggy, been waiting each update for a fix but nothing yet. When adding songs to playlists its either unresponsive or loads in slowly. Haven’t used it in a month almost because of it

Hey Aaron, here on my 14PM performance seems sluggish since update, fairly hot on the back, massive lag when on low power mode since I use a lot for battery saving.
Seem to have fix the lagging with the keyboard, but the swipe shutters still remain.

Happy with the improved third party app icons and hope that at some point all apps will have the dark app icons. There still are alot of apps that do not change and only get a darker hue

I've noticed that the screen's brightness and resolution adjust with changes in lighting conditions. In bright light, the screen becomes clearer, eliminating the need to squint…: amazing!!

I just updated to IOS Beta 3. I went to customize my apps and now it’s not popping up the apps that change the color from light to dark or colors.
Change your lock screen to any iOS 18 lock screen or weather lockscreen and the customization option will definitely works (after that you can go back to your personal Lock Screen again) now customization option will always work.
Ios 18 beta 3 seems to be working fine with my 15 pro. 👍

When i zoom in the high resolution images, the images seem very blurry and pixelated even the zoom is not exceed the image size itself. Its happen since beta 2, i give the report to apple but still no change in beta 3..
Also in beta 3, when u using automatic dark mode, the icon still in dark even the light mode is on.
Did anyone else lose the multi-language keyboard feature when updating to IOS Beta 2? I noticed it went away and even after updating to beta 3 I still don’t see feature. Really wish they bring it back.

Bug for me in beta 3 holding screen and hitting edit then customize does nothing, can’t change color of apps or anything. Even rebooted multiple times and still doesn’t work

Is the new dynamic option for the ios18 wallpaper working for anyone else? What triggers the change? I want those color dark/light remixed versions they are teasing us with since beta 1, that change back to normal, once you set it and go back to your homescreen.
Hey Aaron. I upgraded to beta 3 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. And I can no longer customize the Home Screen, when I select edit and customize it just closes customization.
Good news for me, camera app and new Control Center are smooth as I expected. Very interesting beta version.
Uh I restarted my iPhone on new beta and now it won’t let me customize Home Screen icons anymore it just does nothing after pressing customize

When’s the public beta going to come out?
One thing i noticed, is that the e satellite option appears on control center (in the connectivity menu) even though i’m not anywhere near the US. It’s the only mention of satellite i have ever seen on my 15 Pro. Anyway nice video!

On beta 3 the tinted option turn the icon very dark even i set to light tinted.
I don't know if happened with you Aaron, but I cannot customize the home screen and icons anymore on Iphone 14 Pro.
Are you still using 80% or using optimised battery charging ? Btw I wonder what’s the difference between 80% limit and unplugging the charger at 80% while using optimised battery charging

The “Respond over media source” option has actually been moved to Developer settings. If you open them and scroll all the way to the bottom you’ll see a toggle to show it in the “Siri” -> “Siri responses” section of settings.
Now all the 3rd party app icon got its dark mode! Damn good!

Hi Aaron, No notifications on iOS 18.3 let me clarify I’m receiving them just not being notified, like a permanent silent mode for all intentions and purposes this seems to only be affecting my 11 pro test subject.
I still have doubled songs in my Apple Music. It’s not every song, but it’s many of them. The songs aren’t doubled on my Mac music app, only the iPhone.

I see that Vehicle motion cues have like a pop up message that says on, in Beta 3, it gives pop up message saying its active/ inactive
Im actually running iOS 18 beta 3 right now too, but I’m having issues since yesterday. My photos in my photo app started to not load. Like it would stay in the lowest quality and never fully load. There’s also another problem where keyboard would make my emoji’s disappear too
Still having issues with the control centre, once you restart the phone all your settings will reset!! It’s kinda annoying because if the phone bricks I have to reboot the phone and all my control centre customisation gets lost
Beta 3 on the 15 Pro Max. Emojis not showing up on keyboard for me but apart from that its running quite smooth, better than Beta 2.
I have had the customise problem, changing to a different home screen solves that issue for me.
Same everything else seems to work fine for me but I can't get emojis to show up on my native keyboard only when I'm using gboard

Feels faster and less buggy on 15 Pro Max and iPad 10th Gen. No major bugs noticed yet.
I have the edit customization bug on the Home Screen, it won’t show up when I click customize
I updated my phone (15 pro) to iOS 18 Beta 3 from 17.5.1 and oh wow! It literally feels like the official release, super smooth, everything runs fine, i love the new control centre, battery is great and no heating issues. There have been only 1 or 2 bugs with only the tinted option. When selecting a light tint for apps it automatically changes it back to a dark tint, has been reported through the feedback app, overall i am very impressed with the stability of the software for only a 3rd beta.

Whenever I try to connect to WiFi hotspot from my android device, the android device freezes and shuts down.
Wasn't an issue in DB1, did not try DB2.

Hey Aaron is the lag or glitching fixed in iOS 18 beta 3 for notifications on the lock screen or opening the settings I am having glitching on these issues since iOS 18 beta 1 and 2. Like my settings app will allow me to open and then it crashes
Beta 3 is already better than Beta 2 with smoother animations & faster loading times, but I don’t experience the wallpaper dimming bug anymore. Battery Life is about the same as Beta 2 in my opinion. I am on a iPhone 12.

I gotta say that I’ve not had any problems what so ever when updating. It’s fairly normal to have few bugs here and there in the beginning but overall everything works smoothly

sheesh I thought it was dropping tomorrow but now apple has been dropping on Mondays ...... downloading on my iPhone 15 and Apple Watch S8 as I write this. hopefully battery life is better on this beta...thanks for the video Arron
