By the end of Wings of Liberty, she was listed as a Class Sixteen by the Adjutant when she shows up on the battlefield. Then she got de-zergified by the Artifact, and dropped down to probably a 14ish. Then she took a vacation on Zeras and came back 'Unclassifiable'. At that point, she's basically God-Emperess level. Then, of course, we get what happened at the end of LotV, and... yea. That was a thing that happened.

I think you’re confused, minsk didn’t use the queen of blades to destroy planets with zerg, he used the psionic emitter. He betrayed her by leaving her behind to be devoured by zerg, or so he thought, but the overmind turned her into the queen of boades and she used the swarm to kill many many millions of people. If anything she used him during broodwar to fight the UED, then betrayed him right after. Its all very complicated and long, so like, yeah there should be better lore channels for starcraft lol
Gonna be honest, this probably would’ve made more sense if the mission briefings / debriefings were included. Also, I’m gonna disagree on your opinion for General Warfield. His sole priority at that moment was getting his men out safe, and if pulling the emotional strings of Kerrigan was what he needed to do, so be it. Warfield might’ve been on Mengsk’s side, but he was a good person. Probably one of the best Terran commanders out there. Also his arm is a fucking plasma cannon.
For ppl who didnt know, that last line from Jim to Mengsk " Change of Plans" Is the same line Mengsk Told Jim when leaving Kerrigan to the zerg . Which is probably the best line in the movie because Jim was the rebel who fought through Mengsk for decades.
Just over 4 years actually as WoL takes place 4 years after the Brood War and the entire game took place in a span of few weeks until Jim effectively abandoned the rebellion when Mengsk was on the verge of being overthrown to attack Char with Valerian's fleet

I know it's an old comment and I'm necroing the hell out of this but technically all zerg are sentient. The swarm just gets their will more or less overridden by the hive mind, but they are still somewhat independent, and they are capable of existing outside of a hive mind - they just return to being "feral" which in SC2 we discover is more or less just them being true to their nature and more like the Primal Zerg - fighting for dominance, evolution and survival. The way their hivemind seems to work is, one will overrides the will of a few others, those few others override the will of more, those more override the will of others, etc - so it's not quite a true hivemind. Their wills are overriden, but they have personalities they can work within to accomplish the goal they're given. This is why some Cerebrates didn't like each other, even as they worked together. The Overmind controlled Cerebrates, the Cerebrates controlled Overlords, Overlords controlled the rest of the zerg. In SC2, with the overmind dead and after Kerrigan reworked the Swarm to fit her purposes, Kerrigan controls the Broodmothers, the Broodmothers control the Queens, the Queens control the Overlords, and the Overlords control the rest of the zerg - so in her swarm, they're even more individualistic, even as they are all "the swarm". I imagine it's like a game of telephone, but with some more intricacy. The first will says "Serve me tea and go destroy my enemies, specifically mengsk, but spare civilians if they load into transports and leave". The recipient hears this and transmits forward "Destroy our enemies but spare civilians if they load into transports and leave". The second recipient hears this and transmits forward "Destroy our enemies, spare anyone who loads into transports", the third recipient hears this and transmits forward "Destroy our enemies except transports", each recipient further from the source adds some of their own personality into the order they give forward. We see Isha, Abathur, Zagara, and all the other queens show different personality traits that wouldn't be possible under a true hivemind. In the end they all do what the ultimate leader says, but if the furthest order-giver (before SC2's end, Kerrigan) isn't extremely specific in what they order, then the closest order-giver (usually an overlord) might fail to convey the exact same message, even up to the point where a zergling might fail to understand the "except transports" part of the "kill everyone", and joyously attack everything in its path, thinking it's doing a great job.
I played the Original Starcraft's campaign when I was 12 in ~2000. Kerragan and Ranor's love story something they could make a movie for and I would crying watching it and I was playing Starcraft 2's campaign.
I have completed this game years ago and I still have the same feeling when watching the final cinematics for each of these campaigns. And the Zerg was without a doubt my favorite, my favorite race too.
The Narud fight deserves a little more information: Basically, Amon is an ancient Xel'naga who came under the impression that the Xel'naga Infinite Cycle was corrupt and basically a sham, so he took himself and some like-minded Xel'naga and attempted to stop the cycle by taking one of the prophesised races and killing the rest of the Xel'naga with them. When the Xel'naga uplifted the zerg, the overmind, a being created by them to control the zerg betrayed them and took their biomass. Amon and most of the Xel'naga were killed by the zerg. Narud is the only one of the Xel'naga who managed to escape and continue Amon's will in the universe by creating the Hybrid so that Amon can assume a form again using a really large Hybrid form. This is why Narud can shapeshift, he's Xel'naga, though far weaker than Amon.
I imagine you know by now, but the shocking device at the end is the equivelant of the warhammer assassin with the blank gene that makes nearby psychers freak out. That thing targets her equivelant of the warp connection psychers have, because she is the strongest psycher equivalent, it rips her apart
That's not a body suit. She's walking around naked most of the game. Also that scene with General Warfield, depending on the order you do the missions, she can be in her primal form.
No, he was trying to be manipulative. Kerrigan gave him multiple warnings and chances to leave and he threw it back in her face. He's sitting there, telling her to spare men who were wounded fighting her...after Warfield literally launched multiple nukes at the Zerg.

Warp in other IP's is different than 40k... in 40k its "conventional" travel using another unstable/corruptive dimension as a universal "shortcut"... in starcraft/starwars/star trek its using advanced fictional technology for various versions of spacetime physics manipulation-- it's basically bending 3-dimensional space over a 4th dimension to create an einstein-rosen bridge ("wormhole") effect... essentially "moving" the starting point and the destination closer together (if not overlapping to some extent) rather than travelling faster themselves or finding a shorter already-existing route in 3D space.
Because 40ks Warp is actually a hyperspace dimension. Star Trek has true warp, like the Alcubierre drive. Which is the most realistical approach to real life FTL!

I Cant believe you were too busy chatting during the "My Pleasure Darlin'...... always was" line. I guess you have to have played the game through and experienced the story from Starcraft 1 to really feel it, but I legit teared up at this ending.
The SC2 Wings of Liberty cinematics are pretty good too. However they have missions that lead to different outcomes, so some scenes are different based on what choice the player makes. Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void have more Linear cutscenes.
Sarah Kerrigan is a Ghost, who has phyonic abilities, but was betrayed bu mengsk and as left for dead, then she became the queen of blades, and then became human after raynor used a xel naga artifact on the Char brood, and here she is in the facility.
Haha Kerrigan definitely deserved the hate she got the first time she was transformed. Basically committed planetary genocide, multiple times, and also repeatedly exploited people's trust. Starcraft 2 has better storytelling but Starcraft 1 + Brood War had a better story overall. That's where Kerrigan was a genuine monster.
Then you should watch videos from other campaigns of the game. But it is worth finding videos in which, in addition to cinematics, there are cut scenes. This will allow for more understanding of the lore. In this video, due to the presence of only cinematics, a lot of information was omitted.

Ok, Amon is the bbeg of starcraft who literally killed everyother "god" so that he could end the infinite cycle by creating 2 species in a perfect image of manipulation. The hybrid are a small means to an end to get rid of major threats. The overall goal is complete oblivion. Something the 40k gods would fear since oblivion means no more power and no more power means they die as well.

you mention that heart of the swarm is the DLC about her. while that is true, it ignores the fact that the entire game of SC2 revolves around her. in the part where you mention her being "cured" of the zerg sort of speak, raynor was the one who did it and it was curing her of "amond corruption" which is something that comes in legacy of the void. like i said, the whole game is about her. in the part about the with amond ruling the universe, the goal is not to rule it but to end it. also the shapeshifter is narude which has been in starcraft in many forms since the first game.

I love the Protoss... but as a story, I think the Heart of the Swarm ending could have been an amazing ending for the SC2 story. (If they fleshed it out as the true ending). I'm not a fan of super-omega-universe-destroyer characters so I think the last game doesn't add as much to the story.
I think you got most of kerrigan right but The Emperor didn't use her as a weapon in fact he was trying to kill her on Tarsonis think in the first StarCraft and a little in this one Mengsk has Kerrigan Deploy a Psi Emitter or something that would attract the Zerg to Confederate world so that said world would be infected than later destroyed by the trigger happy Protoss well everything was going great until General Mengsk (he was fighting the confederate to bring it down so he could make a dominion with him as Emperor) ordered all ships to leave Tarsonis cause he knew that the Protoss we're coming well she obviously didn't die The Overmind which commanded the Swarm was controlled by Amon The Overmind didn't like being controlled so it found a way to keep the swarm together while remaining in complete power by Creating The Queen of Blades Someone outside of Amons control now since Amon still controlled the Overmind it gave The Queen basically full power and control of the Swarm essentially freeing the swarm from Amons control When the Xelnaga Artifact was used on The Queen in wings of liberty it removed what little control Amon had on The Queen and the OverMind So now when Kerrigan became A Primal Queen of Blades she is no longer bound to the will of Amon She is purified which fits nicely in a shocker incoming a Protoss prophecy (if I had a dollar for everything something is done cause prophecy for told it) so had Mengsk known about the Overmind ( I really hope I'm saying it right is it Overmind or HiveMind he should of someone had the Protoss bombard the Over/Hive mind than no more Zerg cause they would be greatly scattered and leaderless only existing as small or large broods never a swarm he likely didn't know a thing about Amon so Mengsk would of scored two victories one for defeating the Swarm and the other for removing one of Amons many weapons The Swarm
This IP was originally intended to be a warhammer 40k game. The terrans bear a striking similarity to the Astartes and the zerg bear resemblances to the tyranids. This was a very early day's concept until GW pulled out. They then incorporated the assets developed into a new IP

The only discrepancy with Kerrigan and Raynor story is that Raynor swore to kill Kerrigan in sc1 and when sc2 starts he's still deeply in love with no conflict whatsoever about not killing her because that's what he promised
you are wrong carnal, in wings of liberty you can see that he felt guilty for what had happened to her, he loved her yes but not deeply, the thing is that when zeratul shows him the future if kerrigan dies and everything goes to hell, raynor understands that he has to save her, but the meeting with valerian to give him that opportunity to get her back gives him hope and that feeling of love returns but it is not that it was a strong constant throughout the campaign. Yes, he made the promise but compared to the hybrid monsters slaughtering the protoss in their last fight and how the fallen one rises to victory, there are priorities.

4:08 One Warcraft movie, and boy did it ever SUCK! I've never, not then, not now, not ever had any interest in WoW but I pretty much grew up on the story of Tides of Darkness to the point where I ended up having a decent enough handle on the overall story. The only thing I could relate what I knew to that movie was the Orcs attacking Azeroth, and starting a war of extermination against Humanity. Everything else, especially all the character driven stuff, is garbage.

Yes Mengsk was "using" Kerrigan back when she was just a psionically powerful human, but that's not why she hates him... back then they were allies, and Reynor was with them too. Mengsk abandoned Kerrigan on a world that was being overrun by the zerg and left her to die, that is why she hates him and wants revenge. Of course she didn't die, she was infested by the leader of the zerg called the overmind, and became the overmind's most powerful secret weapon. After the overmind was killed at the end of OG starcraft, Kerrigan became the leader of the zerg and was the main bad guy at that point. In wings of liberty Reynor came into possession of an ancient artefact with the power to remove the zerg infestation from Kerrigan and return her to human form, which he did at the end of wings. This brings us to where we are at the start of heart of the swarm. The zerg swarm are fragmented and leaderless with the loss of Kerrigan, and while she is no longer the evil queen of blades, she still has a burning hatred for Mengsk who betrayed her when he left her to die.

The swarm just gets their will more or less overridden by the hive mind, but they are still somewhat independent, and they are capable of existing outside of a hive mind - they just return to being "feral" which in SC2 we discover is more or less just them being true to their nature and more like the Primal Zerg - fighting for dominance, evolution and survival.
The way their hivemind seems to work is, one will overrides the will of a few others, those few others override the will of more, those more override the will of others, etc - so it's not quite a true hivemind. Their wills are overriden, but they have personalities they can work within to accomplish the goal they're given. This is why some Cerebrates didn't like each other, even as they worked together. The Overmind controlled Cerebrates, the Cerebrates controlled Overlords, Overlords controlled the rest of the zerg.
In SC2, with the overmind dead and after Kerrigan reworked the Swarm to fit her purposes, Kerrigan controls the Broodmothers, the Broodmothers control the Queens, the Queens control the Overlords, and the Overlords control the rest of the zerg - so in her swarm, they're even more individualistic, even as they are all "the swarm".
I imagine it's like a game of telephone, but with some more intricacy.
The first will says "Serve me tea and go destroy my enemies, specifically mengsk, but spare civilians if they load into transports and leave". The recipient hears this and transmits forward "Destroy our enemies but spare civilians if they load into transports and leave". The second recipient hears this and transmits forward "Destroy our enemies, spare anyone who loads into transports", the third recipient hears this and transmits forward "Destroy our enemies except transports", each recipient further from the source adds some of their own personality into the order they give forward.
We see Isha, Abathur, Zagara, and all the other queens show different personality traits that wouldn't be possible under a true hivemind. In the end they all do what the ultimate leader says, but if the furthest order-giver (before SC2's end, Kerrigan) isn't extremely specific in what they order, then the closest order-giver (usually an overlord) might fail to convey the exact same message, even up to the point where a zergling might fail to understand the "except transports" part of the "kill everyone", and joyously attack everything in its path, thinking it's doing a great job.
I still think the Zerg are my favorite to play as in Star Craft with the Protoss a close tie. I just love their designs and stories so much.

I played the Original Starcraft's campaign when I was 12 in ~2000. Kerragan and Ranor's love story something they could make a movie for and I would crying watching it and I was playing Starcraft 2's campaign.
The context provided by the game is great for not getting confused.
I have completed this game years ago and I still have the same feeling when watching the final cinematics for each of these campaigns. And the Zerg was without a doubt my favorite, my favorite race too.
Jim had so many opportunities to save that relationship, he could have clapped queen cheeks!
He does though, he gets the happy ending he deserves.
The Narud fight deserves a little more information:
Basically, Amon is an ancient Xel'naga who came under the impression that the Xel'naga Infinite Cycle was corrupt and basically a sham, so he took himself and some like-minded Xel'naga and attempted to stop the cycle by taking one of the prophesised races and killing the rest of the Xel'naga with them.
When the Xel'naga uplifted the zerg, the overmind, a being created by them to control the zerg betrayed them and took their biomass. Amon and most of the Xel'naga were killed by the zerg.
Narud is the only one of the Xel'naga who managed to escape and continue Amon's will in the universe by creating the Hybrid so that Amon can assume a form again using a really large Hybrid form.
This is why Narud can shapeshift, he's Xel'naga, though far weaker than Amon.
I imagine you know by now, but the shocking device at the end is the equivelant of the warhammer assassin with the blank gene that makes nearby psychers freak out. That thing targets her equivelant of the warp connection psychers have, because she is the strongest psycher equivalent, it rips her apart

No, he was trying to be manipulative. Kerrigan gave him multiple warnings and chances to leave and he threw it back in her face. He's sitting there, telling her to spare men who were wounded fighting her...after Warfield literally launched multiple nukes at the Zerg.

Warp in other IP's is different than 40k... in 40k its "conventional" travel using another unstable/corruptive dimension as a universal "shortcut"... in starcraft/starwars/star trek its using advanced fictional technology for various versions of spacetime physics manipulation-- it's basically bending 3-dimensional space over a 4th dimension to create an einstein-rosen bridge ("wormhole") effect... essentially "moving" the starting point and the destination closer together (if not overlapping to some extent) rather than travelling faster themselves or finding a shorter already-existing route in 3D space.
Because 40ks Warp is actually a hyperspace dimension. Star Trek has true warp, like the Alcubierre drive. Which is the most realistical approach to real life FTL!

I have ascended into a Xel-Naga. I await the return of the cycle of The Man From The Chill Zone reacting to another video about Starcraft as have been foretold by the prophecy. Aeons will have passed, the evil figurine-making corporations will have turned good and decided to allow their fanatics to legally create their content and share it with the world once again, the now soulless snow storm will have been soulless no more and have detached from their greed-filled puppeteers. But I will still be watching, waiting in silence until Starcraft comes once more...
I Cant believe you were too busy chatting during the "My Pleasure Darlin'...... always was" line. I guess you have to have played the game through and experienced the story from Starcraft 1 to really feel it, but I legit teared up at this ending.

The SC2 Wings of Liberty cinematics are pretty good too. However they have missions that lead to different outcomes, so some scenes are different based on what choice the player makes.

The Protoss hair is actually made of nerve tendrils. The Khala was a communal psionic link that bound each individual that had a nerve cord allowing them to share thoughts, emotions, and memories.

Just to add, Warfield did not deserve his death, he was part of the team together with James Raynor who rescued Kerrigan when she was the uncontrollable mass murderer known as the queen of blades, and the reason why she was reunited with Jim in the first place - the guy is an old fashioned general for sure, but fundamentally not a terrible person.

Ok, Amon is the bbeg of starcraft who literally killed everyother "god" so that he could end the infinite cycle by creating 2 species in a perfect image of manipulation. The hybrid are a small means to an end to get rid of major threats. The overall goal is complete oblivion. Something the 40k gods would fear since oblivion means no more power and no more power means they die as well.

you mention that heart of the swarm is the DLC about her. while that is true, it ignores the fact that the entire game of SC2 revolves around her.
in the part where you mention her being "cured" of the zerg sort of speak, raynor was the one who did it and it was curing her of "amond corruption" which is something that comes in legacy of the void. like i said, the whole game is about her.
in the part about the with amond ruling the universe, the goal is not to rule it but to end it. also the shapeshifter is narude which has been in starcraft in many forms since the first game.

I love the Protoss... but as a story, I think the Heart of the Swarm ending could have been an amazing ending for the SC2 story. (If they fleshed it out as the true ending). I'm not a fan of super-omega-universe-destroyer characters so I think the last game doesn't add as much to the story.
I think you got most of kerrigan right but The Emperor didn't use her as a weapon in fact he was trying to kill her on Tarsonis think in the first StarCraft and a little in this one Mengsk has Kerrigan Deploy a Psi Emitter or something that would attract the Zerg to Confederate world so that said world would be infected than later destroyed by the trigger happy Protoss well everything was going great until General Mengsk (he was fighting the confederate to bring it down so he could make a dominion with him as Emperor) ordered all ships to leave Tarsonis cause he knew that the Protoss we're coming well she obviously didn't die The Overmind which commanded the Swarm was controlled by Amon The Overmind didn't like being controlled so it found a way to keep the swarm together while remaining in complete power by Creating The Queen of Blades Someone outside of Amons control now since Amon still controlled the Overmind it gave The Queen basically full power and control of the Swarm essentially freeing the swarm from Amons control When the Xelnaga Artifact was used on The Queen in wings of liberty it removed what little control Amon had on The Queen and the OverMind So now when Kerrigan became A Primal Queen of Blades she is no longer bound to the will of Amon She is purified which fits nicely in a shocker incoming a Protoss prophecy (if I had a dollar for everything something is done cause prophecy for told it) so had Mengsk known about the Overmind ( I really hope I'm saying it right is it Overmind or HiveMind he should of someone had the Protoss bombard the Over/Hive mind than no more Zerg cause they would be greatly scattered and leaderless only existing as small or large broods never a swarm he likely didn't know a thing about Amon so Mengsk would of scored two victories one for defeating the Swarm and the other for removing one of Amons many weapons The Swarm
This IP was originally intended to be a warhammer 40k game. The terrans bear a striking similarity to the Astartes and the zerg bear resemblances to the tyranids.
This was a very early day's concept until GW pulled out. They then incorporated the assets developed into a new IP

The only discrepancy with Kerrigan and Raynor story is that Raynor swore to kill Kerrigan in sc1 and when sc2 starts he's still deeply in love with no conflict whatsoever about not killing her because that's what he promised
you are wrong carnal, in wings of liberty you can see that he felt guilty for what had happened to her, he loved her yes but not deeply, the thing is that when zeratul shows him the future if kerrigan dies and everything goes to hell, raynor understands that he has to save her, but the meeting with valerian to give him that opportunity to get her back gives him hope and that feeling of love returns but it is not that it was a strong constant throughout the campaign. Yes, he made the promise but compared to the hybrid monsters slaughtering the protoss in their last fight and how the fallen one rises to victory, there are priorities.

4:08 One Warcraft movie, and boy did it ever SUCK! I've never, not then, not now, not ever had any interest in WoW but I pretty much grew up on the story of Tides of Darkness to the point where I ended up having a decent enough handle on the overall story. The only thing I could relate what I knew to that movie was the Orcs attacking Azeroth, and starting a war of extermination against Humanity. Everything else, especially all the character driven stuff, is garbage.

Your backstory is all wrong! Yes Mengsk was "using" Kerrigan back when she was just a psionically powerful human, but that's not why she hates him... back then they were allies, and Reynor was with them too. Mengsk abandoned Kerrigan on a world that was being overrun by the zerg and left her to die, that is why she hates him and wants revenge. Of course she didn't die, she was infested by the leader of the zerg called the overmind, and became the overmind's most powerful secret weapon. After the overmind was killed at the end of OG starcraft, Kerrigan became the leader of the zerg and was the main bad guy at that point. In wings of liberty Reynor came into possession of an ancient artefact with the power to remove the zerg infestation from Kerrigan and return her to human form, which he did at the end of wings. This brings us to where we are at the start of heart of the swarm. The zerg swarm are fragmented and leaderless with the loss of Kerrigan, and while she is no longer the evil queen of blades, she still has a burning hatred for Mengsk who betrayed her when he left her to die.
You need to tone down your voice and cuts, or make video on what you are reacting louder.
