15:45 Interestingly, afaik the guillotine was one of the more merciful / less painful ways to go at that time (probably not by 1977, but for most of it's usage history). Before that, the execution of criminals were usually VERY painful (and public) to create an example for the rest of the populace (horrible stuff like chopping of the limbs with blunt blades, getting impaled, sawed in half, etc), think middle ages torture. To the point that the guillotine (closest to a painless death) was originally reserved for royalty and such. By the time of the french revolution, it got more widespread and both rich and poor criminals had the same sort of execution. Another widespread form of execution was the gallows (hanging). (Other commenters please correct me if any info was wrong) The 1800s were rough (the past in general too). On that note I recommend Oversimplified's video on the French Revolution (and his other videos too, like the Napoleonic Wars and the Russian Revolution). Sorry for the long comment, thank you for the reaction :)
If you ever want to know how insane Yugioh got over the years, Arc V was about a multi-dimensional war between the Fusion, Syncro, XYZ, and Standard dimension, and the main characters visit each one and run into characters from previous series, like Jack from 5Ds and Alexis from GX (much hotter too).
The talk about guillotines made me think... You will physically think about how you want to scratch your itchy neck but you can't... Man, now I'm feeling itchy fml
I tried going back to yu-gi-oh a few years ago, but the amount of text on a modern yu-gi-oh card is just simply baffling. It's like a novel, every single one of them o_O
Random tidbit, but did you hear that the game, Boltgun, released, Jack? It’s a boomer shooter set in the 40k universe and I think that’d be up your alley to try out!
i'm reading this and all i can picture is you going through a retirement home and gunning down all the old people. Like turn a corner and there's a jump scare where a walker gets thrown at your head or something. lol
I saw some thing where some german guy goes magnet fishing and he keeps having to call the cops because he often pulls up grenades and they need to make sure its not live.
I love how in a video about hobbies it slowly devolves into what the best ways to execute someone or hurt animals are
For real.
I mean, aren't those hobbies as well?
"Is building deathtraps a hobby? :D"
I feel like the tongue sticking out thing started when some dudes killed stuck their tongue out in their final moments for fun
The QR code on the pigeons leg leads to Story mode lol thought i was gonna get rickrolled
You sir, have such a diverse and wide range of knowledge for fields you’ve dipped your toes into.
I forgot that you can totally have hobbies that aren't video games.
And they have video games for those hobbies.

@@rafaelfigfigueiredo2988 There's a lot of cameos from both characters and cards.
Used to think videogames were the only hobby but then I found love in cooking and small scale farming.
