@lizamazing outdoor Jaye put out of video that the CEO of Winnebago/Grand Design is adding a 5 year structural warranty, this is retro active for those who have already purchased their RV. Not sure if you had heard about this yet? 😊😊
I couldn't agree more. Funny thing here... It seems... No matter when I have searched "RV"... In the MANY YEARS that I have been RVing... There are "ALWAYS"... Quality issues... In RV forums... From people complaining "There New RV... Has been in the shop... More than it was on the road"... It is an everlasting issue in the RV Industry...
@@robertyoung2819You may be right on that point but rv's used to be priced lower than what a new house costs in some areas. My point is people are actually signing mortgages on these rv's for a lot more years than what they would stay useable in most cases.
Bingo! For the price of an RV I can stay in premium hotels. If I want to camp, I camp. No way I am going to drive my house around the country. Been there, done that and it wasn't fun then and it definitely would not be fun now that I am older.
There are some good rv manufacturers and dealers . You just have to do your due diligence when purchasing a rv . The last 2 rvs I purchased used and I hired someone that has worked on rvs all their life to look it over . I then looked it over myself. The dealer left us inspect it for 1 whole day .
The sealing tape issue is brutal. If I were the owner of Riverside I would be so ashamed that a unit built by my company had that level of incompetence built in.
Riverside should stand behind their product I mean, if they can’t even put The tape on properly to seal the unit that is horrible. Riverside made in America seriously! Riverside step up give these people back some money. I am sure there’s some kind of consumer protection agencies that can step in.
I agree that is brutal. I do own a company but I don’t use butyl tape. If I did use butyl tape in my company, I would have the common sense to take off the paper back in lol wow that is brutal and I would be firing somebody if that were my company.
I was an RV service tech 45 years ago. We serviced Nomad RV's, Palamino pop-ups and truck campers. All of our techs would go through the RV once it was sold and checked everything out: lights, hot water and cold water (leaks), propane, 12 VDC service, gray & fresh water holding tanks, pumps, refrigerators, everything. We went through the new & used trailers with a fine tooth comb and fixed any issues. One thing that I notice several years after that was the quality coming out of the manufacturers was going downhill, and fast. I had to take a Latham 5th wheel to Pennsylvania for warranty repairs and while the repairs were being made, they gave me a tour of the manufacturing plant, where they assembled these trailers and 5th wheel trailers. One thing I notice was at the end of the assembly line, where the quality control inspections were being done, was that there was hardly any lighting on inside the unit and there were 3-4 inspectors inside all huddled together. I couldn't believe it!! They just don't make 'em like they used to anymore!!!
Obviously those assembling the units are labor, maybe slightly skilled labor but it’s abundantly clear none are craftsmen. 500 units a year is above that crew’s ability to put out a quality product.
The vast majority Liz's videos denotes senior citizens and their struggles!! As someone older than DIRT; we grew up "Trusting" people! (Walter Cronkite) It's sad to see the number of seniors being "ripped" off by the RV industry!! Where are are the legislators? GOD BLESS LIZ and the Beatles!!
Someone needs to tell them to stop spending their money on over built, monstrosities that are supposed to have every single luxury the modern home has. What’s the point? Don’t waste your money . I’m in my 50s, but I remember going camping with grandpa, he taught me how to camp in comfort without all these luxuries We’d rent cabins or use his brother in law’s Gulf Stream and he’d tow it with his Ford Fairlane. If anything broke down he didn’t complain, he had his tools and little know-how, he could fix enough to get to a mechanic and given it was a Y-block 8 cylinder, and pretty standard parts any mechanic could replace any part in a few hours. And we’d be back up at the lake to catch enough fish for dinner!! Wow,,,,things have changed.
In pure business-sense terms, it is absolutely ridiculous that they would not pay out $5000 to prevent this type of ill-will. Penny-wise/pound-foolish.
I'm thinking the company owners don't care. They've probably already recovered their factory acquisition costs and made a profit by building and selling a bunch of crappy RVs. If their reputation and sales tank, they simply sell the building and equipment for salvage and walk away with fat wallets. I've seen a similar business model with some metal fabricators. Unscrupulous and unethical, but effective nonetheless.
@@LizAmazing The manufacturers know they can't afford re-embursement. They are whistling in the dark..........until bankruptcy......by the dozens of companies.
They change their name & fold their tent & open up across the street . The slash & burn method of produce sales worked fine until the internet took off . Now they are stuck with lots full of product & customers who avoid them like the plague
The “WHY” is a simple answer. Speed, a push for urgency and profit. We toured one RV shop, we went through the build process. They were PROUD that their teams could build the cabinets for everything, a bath, kitchen, LR and Bedroom in under 20 minutes, the single installer could install the cabinets in under 10 minutes. We are talking a single worker picking the cabinets up, putting them up holding it with one hand using nail guns with the other. The entire trim was done next in about 5 minutes, precut strips, guy moving so fast, tack gun popping away, no pause to ensure trim was straight, etc. Every time I tour and RV and see lose or crooked cabinets, wallpaper or backsplash problems, etc., I think of that tour. I get the need for profit, but when you’re paying $50k-$100k for an RV, you don’t expect the company to be proud of their being able to build the entire thing in hours.
Sadly, he shouldn't have to! This sweet couple should be out enjoying their RV, instead of fixing problems that never should have happened in the first place! 😢
As a RV tech myself I have learned that 2020 to mid 2022 were very bad years for manufacturing of RVs. I also have learned that there are many techs that have no clue what they are doing when it comes to doing a repair correctly and to compound all of it there are many dealerships thats will get your money for the RV and then make it very hard to get an appointment especially on warranty work. I get frustrated when I see stuff like this and hope for it to get better for everyone. Best of luck to everyone buying a RV from those years especially.
I would not endorse any gov't interference at this point. We have social media to communicate and the best way to send a message is with boycotts of these deadbeat manufacturers. Most of these manufacturers are living in the past by not taking the 'new printing press' into account.
@@ellismedavoy7314 That would never work. Obviously people are still buying these because they don't even know how bad they are. How are they going to even know they should boycott them then?
The best two days we had with our RV was the day we bought it and the day we sold it. Thousands in repairs and a constant fight with Camping World to stand by the warranty. Every time we went on a trip we’d come back only to have to sit for months at Camping World for costly repairs. Never again!
It is and has been for a long time, RVIA but that don't stop them from building fire hazards. There are plastic bushings that cost 2¢ each, about 16¢ worth in RV that would be required in a stationary building but not in RV to keep wires from shorting. It is a roof off repair.
@@LizAmazinga list of every RV manufacturer who doesn’t step up & make issues right would be excellent “do not buy from” information for RV shoppers. Maybe post it at the end of each video.
@@islandwitt1 I'm not a lawyer but could this be judged as tortious interference? I agree with you that such a list would be great but Liz has to protect herself from lawsuits from the manufacturers.
I recently retired. My wife and I had talked for years about getting an RV to travel with. But who can afford to drop $50K to $100K and have it stuck in the driveway? RV sales are down, but manufactures don't seem to care. We won't be buying one.
Just buy used built before 2018. We have lived full time in a 2011 fifth wheel that was built very well and is still holding up great. Before that we had a 1997 class A with 40K on it that was also well built. Pay for a professional inspection.
@@cdlund2840you can get a crappy older RV too. In 2013 we bought a used 2008 motorhome from a dealership and ended up having to put over $20,000.00 into it. So many things needed to be repaired and replaced. We figured out that the people who previously owned it ran it into the ground driving it through the desert. They knew it was going to be reprocessed so just ran it into the ground. We finally sold it after fixing everything and went with a new Forest River Berkshire diesal which we purchased in Alvarado Tx. Forest River was phenomenal with anything we needed help with in and out of warranty. We never took the RV to where we purchased it. We took it to FR approved repair facilities near to us in CA. We have found FR to stand by their products. Working with their service dept in Elkhart IN has been positive. The guys in service dept have been helpful and quick response.
We bought a used Class C Jayco Grey Hawk. 2008 with 7,000 miles. Looked brand new. $35,000. New tires. Extremely well built. Had to fix two very minor items to a total of about $50. They're out there. Nothing says you have to buy new.
… $5K is chump change to that pathetic RV manufacturing company. They could’ve easily given the retired couple the $5K for the financial hell they went through on their trip in a so- called new RV. Don’t even get me started w/that ‘Made in China’ axle or break disc. These RV companies no longer make RVs using ‘Made in the USA’ materials…Heart goes out to this couple. They deserve so much better…Thanks Liz for bringing more awareness to another crooked RV corporation. Hope they lose business now & that dealership too.
How is the NHTSA not investigating this industry for allowing these dangerous vehicles to be used on public roads. This is really something that every state AG needs to be investigating and probably need to be brought up to Congress for how much the industry has been scamming their customers.
You said it a year ago- inspection Inspection inspection! So sad! We get tricked by the “new” factor and worst of all, get swindled by shady people like this! Buy used and invest in a good survey! I used to say: trust but verify! We need a lemon law! Thank you Liz as always
Liz: I am a retired television News Director, quite familiar with libel and defamation issues. Based on what you have posted, I have a few observations. #1 You appear to have carefully researched and established the veracity of the information that has been provided to you by dissatisfied customers. #2 The corporation that sent you a cease and desist letter is serious in trying to silence you. There is a significant level of intimidation. #3 The information you are publishing on UA-cam has the potential of seriously harming the company. #4 Truth/accuracy is the ultimate defense. #5 You mention that you have hired an attorney. It is vital that your counsel is expert in libel and defamation. You need a specialist. I wish you success as you work to protect the interests of consumers. Bob Jordan/Estero/FL
Yep. They’ve been removed from any kind of purchase consideration. Period. Enjoying the $5,000 worth of negative publicity and reviews that you purchased, Riverside RV? You’ve already lost more money than it would have cost you to just treat this couple with kindness, dignity and respect. You will lose more money than that in lost sales if I have anything to say about it.
I'm all for getting a pre-purchase inspection however, how many of these defects (brakes / axles) would not have been visible by an inspector? This speaks to the benefit of buying a used unit where some of these issues begin to rear their ugly heads! Thank you for your perseverance in helping folks get the word out and in rare cases, getting the MFG to fix their shoddy products.
Good on you Liz! Someone has to show us just how bad it's gotten. I would be burning madd!! These poor retired folks. Riverside should be ashamed and fix it!! Thank you for sharing the news about RIVERSIDE RV!!! Needs to be spread everywhere..
Riverside is a horrible company. I purchased a trailer and it was made by Riverside . It was so cheaply put together. never again will I buy anything made by Riverside?.
Many dealerships will NOT ALLOW an independent inspector on their property. You should tell the salesman up front you will have that inspection or NO PURCHASE.
Tell me I can’t have an independent inspector of my choosing inspect the unit BEFORE I purchase it; and see how fast I walk out the door. Go ahead. I dare you. 😡
Recently bought a Riverside RV 245RB. 2024 model, built in May '23. I'm in California, and bought it from a dealer in Ohio, near the manufacturer's plant. By the time it got to our house, the roof membrane had failed, and was a big balloon on top of the trailer. A light fixture was broken, and a window blind was shredded. Everything else seems to work fine. After engaging the Ohio dealer, who knows the manufacturer personally, and a few phone calls and emails, I was able to get the roof membrane fully replaced under warranty at a dealer in the central valley. Ultimately, in my case the General Manager at Riverside RV was responsive and the warranty work was done quickly. Bobby the GM was responsive, but I would counsel working directly with him, as the Warranty Manager's voicemail box is full and she cannot be reached that way. We are making our maiden camping voyage in a couple of days, and are happy that the issues were resolved. On the one hand, Riverside RV's customer service is not where it needs to be, but on the other hand they did honor the warranty in my case, and (except for issues reaching the Warranty Manager) the work was approved and done timely.
They don't have to fight for customers. A couple of years ago, caravans were in so short supply in New Zealand you couldve sold a dog kennel if you put wheels on it. Had the same issues on the springs with my first 2020 forest rover alpha wolf. At around 6k I had to have a whole new set of springs fabricated here in New Zealand. All for were flat. Sends to me, the running gear is stressed to the maximum because it is minimum spec to do the job.
So Riverside is blaming the dealer and the customer for not doing their due diligence instead of themselves for not doing their own PDI. Make it make sense! Also they used cheap leaf springs probably from China but that’s the customer’s fault?? $5,000 is the LEAST they could do. I’d offload that piece of 💩pronto. Or better than that, drive it to the dealership with a big lemon banner on it and park it for several weeks.
Liz, thank you so much for what you do. This industry really REALLY needs watchdogs like you. Please keep it up and never bend to dishonest manufacturers.
Thank you for having our backs Liz. You are the RV Hero. How do these people live with themselves knowing the danger there placing people's families in. It's madness to me. Again thanks so much for keeping us safe. 👋😊. 🌈🎶
Not having the butyl tape paper removed was inexcusable and frankly stupid. It shows you that employees arent properly trained, just put on the line to start building. Riverside needs to make this right. Terrible!
I am so glad that you fight for these people with the RV problems. My family had a 2012 Forrest River 5th wheel and we had good luck with it. I am glad you spread the word on your channel because my wife and I were looking to buy a motor home. Thanks to your channel, we will pay to have an inspection ahead of time.
@@LizAmazing very. And the timing is all wrong. I am here watching because I was trying to educate myself. I had planned to live in a gooseneck toy hauler for a year or so while I went retirement house shopping.
I'm into boats and therefore boat trailers. Compared to RVs, boat trailers are very simple. All they really need are quality axle components that are aligned. They can't even get this right. Given that we can't get reliable boat trailers, what's the probability of a reliable RV? Zero. Maybe a small single axle camp trailer. But otherwise, you can expect trash.
How is liz supposed to know the quality of the components and manufacturing? For one she is not qualified to come to the conclusion that the components are weak, and the process is sub par. And two she didn't even inspect the components and/or manufacturing processes. She's just automatically picking sides. Pathetic
I am so sorry to hear how this company has ignored its customers. Unfortunately, this is a clear indication of the company and how future customers can expect to be treated by them. I have, however, made a note not to purchase my RV trailer from them and to warn others in our community when I head over to the USA next year. Thank you, Liz, for helping to share their experiences and to help others like me to avoid the poor quality companies as first-time RV buyers.
Every Friday evening after work we pop on Liz to see what is going on in the world of RVing... And every week I find myself shadow boxing while watching Liz do her best to stand up for the little.guy! Keep up the outstanding work Liz! It's outstanding to see someone sticking up for those that spent their hard-earned dollars only to be disappointed by abysmal craftsmanship.
Thank you Liz. I had no idea that a trailer company could or would build such a poor quality and unsafe camper. Actually it's not poor quality it's the worst example of a camper build I have ever heard of, ever. It's perfectly clear that they dont care and take no pride in what they "throw together". That poor poor couple.
Liz, thank you so much for the work you have done here revealing this industry! I am a disabled widow and I just can't afford to take this kind of risk, although, I'd like to buy something I can depend on to live and travel in. Kust a thought, but could you by any chance, make a web page that lists the different RV brands as well as the issues you have reported on in your videos, (adding to it as you go)? Seems we can't trust the traditional review system anymore...but I feel I can trust what you have looked into and found. And it would be a great resource for anyone looking to buy...before they buy! I'd be interested in an RV, if I could find an honest company, but I will not support this type of corruption, and many people would benefit from seeing a shame list. Thanks again, I hate to hear how these people are being treated...but I love that you are helping us navigate and avoid the companies that do not care about their product, reputation, or their customers.
I install Satellite TV systems in RVs and often come across so many other problems that the new owners didn't even notice while I'm installing wires and replacing junk TV/sound systems. I'm amazed how crappy they are put together!
Bankruptcy for multiple Rv makers/companies the only way I see out of this, then a few quality companies who honor warranties, take pride in their product will hang on and become profitable. thanks for ongoing efforts and calling them out Liz.
I haven’t RV’d in over 20 yrs. Back then it was exactly the same problems with RV’s. Why do we continue to buy junk? Riverside seems to make a lot of lemons.
Riverside should be sued into bankruptcy. All these RV manufacturing companies need to be help accountable. If I was an attorney I would make my fortune suing these companies.
I'm not even halfway through this video and am ASTOUNDED at the problems with this RV. Absolutely disgusting. I'm contemplating buying an RV, first time (at 66 years old) and this brand will be at the top of my "don't even consider " list.
A good piece of advice, is buy something made before 2018. Yes, you'll have to do some upgrades, but hopefully itll be made better. Unless its anything associated with Thor, or in this case, Riverside. If you're ok with drivables, class A's tend to be nicer and better built. And ALWAYS get an independant inspection before buying! We're retired and very happy with our Tiffin Allegro built in 2016. To add, watch out though, because after 2018 Thor bought out Tiffin. Do your research! Its worth the time.
I know this is two days late, but man, my heart really goes out to these folks. Their frustration is so palpable and they were treated SO unfairly. I hope that they get satisfaction and justice~ and that we hear back from you about how things went right for these folks. Bless them. And bless YOU for shining a very bright light on these issues.
Liz great that you make these videos and try to help people. All RV manufacturers have no quality control nor do they stand be hind there products. The solution is simple. STOP buying them. That may get there attention. We had allot of problems with our Fredom Express. They don't care is the bottom line. I had a friend that worked in the RV industry for years. He said you could not fathom what goes on in these factories. STOP buying them and see what happens.
Hi Liz. Thanks for whittling down my list of next travel trailers. I think I will stick with my pre-Covid rig for some time to come. Sub-standard steel is scary!
I agree! Our 20 year old trailer is so much better quality than anything out there. We replaced the flooring, did new curtains, added a backslash, and are in the process of removing/replacing the graphics. It looks like new, and we've had literally no issues with it. Cheaper to keep and update as required than purchase new garbage RVs.
I was also looking to upgrade my RV, and I looked at riverside. nice looking unit. My wife kept telling me to go look at some other brands. All I can say this is the first time I'm glad I listen to my wife. I'm staying away from Riverside RVs
Great video. They should be reimbursed for all expenses incurred with this defective RV. This is a true example of poor customer service with no accountability for a poorly constructed product!!
I was interested in purchase a small Class C a few years back and did my homework. i had heard so much negativity about the RV industry that I purchased a 3500 RAM Promaster, Tall and Extended, and had two young men build it out for me. So glad that I did that.
Liz, thanks for sharing ANOTHER lousy RV manufacturer!!! This is another one checked off my wife and I's list to look at this Fall when we get ready to purchase. YOU are saving us a ton of time researching/doing our homework!!!
We started in the RV world back in the 80's, starting with a Jayco popup. From there we went to a Layton TT, then a Dutchman TT, then a Prowler 5th Wheel, then a Keystone Montana that we bought for full timing. While full timing we moved onto a Southwind MH and finally our last one, a 2005 Tiffin Phaeton. We full timed for just under 12 years and have never experience any of these terrible horror stories. I'm not saying we didn't have issues, but wow! We did have a leak on a slide with our Montana, but the factory in Goshen was awesome and fixed everything we could have asked for. When we ordered/purchased our Phaeton, warranty/service was top-notch, mostly thanks to Bob Tiffin and how he ran the company. We've been off the road now for just over 10 years and we are so happy that we did it then and not in the current state of the RV manufacturing world.
Liz, Have you talked to your representative in Congress about this and asked him/her what they might be able to do to protect the consumer from these unscrupulous RV manufacturers?
Good job Liz. Sunshine is the best disinfectant for these unscrupulous manufacturers and their networks of underhanded dealers and sales specialists. Your 40 plus years of research and experience as an RV owner and user has yielded knowledge that is quite valuable to prospective new buyers especially since you are current and up to date with so much of what has happened to quality construction, follow through and reliability. People trust you and that’s hard to come by. How about a new video with the Top 20 Tips when looking for a new or used RV. It certainly seems like in todays world the securing of an independent RV inspection and report should be a mandatory requirement before spending your hard earned dollars.
HIGHEST QUALITY RVs but only "in northern indiana" - LOL - what a racket. I've spent many an HOUR on the side of and interstate, having to deal with RV mfr issues - that had to be addressed right then, to get HOME. ---> Glad Susan and Russ made it to safe locations to stop and made it back home, without having to leave the RV on the side of the road. Bless them! Shout out to RIVERSIDE RV for not being different and being like so many others... Thanks Liz
I am disgusted at the manufacturer. I am with you on the frustration that too many people are buying brand new RVs. If they insist on new, they shouldn't buy anything without enough knowledge to watch for these signs. I hope this couple hires a lawyer or at least file the safety issyes wirh NHTSA or the Canadian equivalent. This is fast becoming a major problem in the industry that should have some oversight like the aito industry. RVIA is such a self serving group - who cares if they "certify" RVs - they are on the dealers and manufacturing side, not the buyer.
We have a 1995 Jayco tent trailer. It is old and has some issues but we love it. We recently went to look at newer models of tent trailers at an RV dealership. The sales person didn't know anything about the one we were looking at. We noticed it was very dirty inside. We also pointed out a few rips in the canvas, the balding tires, and a few other little things. We asked them if they would give us a discount, fix the issues or reimburse us if we fixed them ourselves. We were told no that it was used and it is sold as is. We decided we would just keep our current trailer.
This has been happening for a lot of years. It's really nothing new. But. Social media and UA-cam have brought it to the masses. This a good thing. I hope folks can learn from these channels. Most RV's if you ask a true question from a RV repair mechanic. They will tell you just how bad most are made. There really aren't many equality RV's made. Going back 10 to 15 years. Same issues.
I went thru similar crap but with different problems with Forest River. Stating I didn't go thru proper channels for repairs, so sorry we can't help you! Will never own another camper again!!
I’m really proud of you for finding your feet on your channel and the direction you’ve taken it by helping other people I’ve always enjoyed your channel but this is really cool
Thanks Liz. You're doing a fantastic job, advocating for duped RV owners. I have a 2014 Class C that I was thinking of replacing. After seeing the problems you've handled for so many people, I think I'm giving up on getting any kind of new RV.

I plan on purchasing an RV, THIS WILL NOT BE MY BRAND!
Thanks for the Warning!
People like this have problems with everything. If you follow the rules and weight guidelines this doesn't happen
I sent an email to the company expressing how ashamed they should be. I hope they take care of these people. Absolutely terrible.
Good for you, thanks for this!
Email your Congressman. ASAP
So did I. And I wasn't nice about it!!!!
What is there email ? I would like to do the same thing.
I’ll send an email too! Can you post the email address?
Companies like that don't want your business, they just want your money.
I feel so sorry for these people. $5000.00 for repairs? That's insane. Made in the USA used to mean something. Apparently not. What a pitiful company.
Yeah, made in the USA by mexicans.
Welcome to the world of demorat policies and inflation..
Companies are being bought out by foreign countries. So production is sped up and quality goes out for the window.
@@roberteast4160 and private equity firms which is the kiss of death for them.
🙄
@@mackdeen7021 Now, get off my lawn!
In pure business-sense terms, it is absolutely ridiculous that they would not pay out $5000 to prevent this type of ill-will. Penny-wise/pound-foolish.
That's what I was thinking! Thanks for this, Rick, and for watching.
I was going to say the exact same thing, but rickr2183 said it perfectly, so I'll just say "ditto"! 👍
Holy cow. What a nightmare. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I am 63 and am preparing to make a RV purchase to do some traveling. This company is off my list! Thanks Liz!
Riverside got millions in bad publicity.
Yeah they will be holding on to those 500 rv’s they make this year! lol
She’s lucky that her husband can fix most of these problems…
She sure is! Thanks for watching, Anthony!
Amen 😮
Sadly, he shouldn't have to! This sweet couple should be out enjoying their RV, instead of fixing problems that never should have happened in the first place! 😢
I’d buy an RV from him! He wouldn’t let a unit out built like that!
Agreed!! We all have our gifts and talents, but not everyone is born a mechanic. Don’t get me started on ours!!!
They want your money not your business.
Good job Liz. Keep shining a light on these criminals taking advantage of people!
You know RV company think that they can get away with the stuff because the government does not have a lemon law against RVs.
It's definitely way past time for change!
Horrible quality, these "guarantees" on new RV's sound like aftermarket warranty's on cars where nothing is covered because of some technicality.
@@ellismedavoy7314 I disagree we need government interference. We need a lemon law ASAP
The best two days we had with our RV was the day we bought it and the day we sold it. Thousands in repairs and a constant fight with Camping World to stand by the warranty. Every time we went on a trip we’d come back only to have to sit for months at Camping World for costly repairs. Never again!
I don't believe this company knows or understands the impact that Liz can have on sales. This is a hard way to find out. ❤ Liz!!!
PT Barnum was so spot on..." A sucker is born every minute" if you buy a new RV today you're a fool!
It sounds like this whole RV industry is totally unregulated.
EXACTLY
It's not.
Regulate the mafia? Surely you jest.
It is and has been for a long time, RVIA but that don't stop them from building fire hazards. There are plastic bushings that cost 2¢ each, about 16¢ worth in RV that would be required in a stationary building but not in RV to keep wires from shorting. It is a roof off repair.
Too many DEI hires
After watching this channel there is no way I would buy any RV.
Certainly not a new one. Look for lightly used and look for where, not if, it’s already leaking.
You should put the RV manufacture in the title for the video so people can find it when they research before buying.
Thank you. I have it in the location pin. I'll make a note to change the title.
@@LizAmazinga list of every RV manufacturer who doesn’t step up & make issues right would be excellent “do not buy from” information for RV shoppers. Maybe post it at the end of each video.

Keep it up Liz, it’s the only way to keep them accountable!
I recently retired. My wife and I had talked for years about getting an RV to travel with. But who can afford to drop $50K to $100K and have it stuck in the driveway? RV sales are down, but manufactures don't seem to care. We won't be buying one.
SMART!!!!
Just buy used built before 2018. We have lived full time in a 2011 fifth wheel that was built very well and is still holding up great. Before that we had a 1997 class A with 40K on it that was also well built. Pay for a professional inspection.
Yes. That much money can go a good way when traveling and staying in hotels, airBNB, or cute cabins at parks.
Im just shaking my head. I am a former Airstream owner and honestly, it is the only rv I would ever buy again.
Shoddily made "Made In China" parts tend to be a plague, everywhere.
These people are so nice ! How could they be treated like this 😡
How is the NHTSA not investigating this industry for allowing these dangerous vehicles to be used on public roads. This is really something that every state AG needs to be investigating and probably need to be brought up to Congress for how much the industry has been scamming their customers.
You said it a year ago- inspection Inspection inspection! So sad!

Yep, because of stories like this, I don't care what the dealer says , I will contract an independent RV inspection before I sign a thing.

Many dealerships will NOT ALLOW an independent inspector on their property. You should tell the salesman up front you will have that inspection or NO PURCHASE.

Shame on this RV manufacturing
Indeed! Thanks for watching, Lori!
Seems most manufacturers are slipping
They don't have to fight for customers.
A couple of years ago, caravans were in so short supply in New Zealand you couldve sold a dog kennel if you put wheels on it.
Had the same issues on the springs with my first 2020 forest rover alpha wolf.
At around 6k I had to have a whole new set of springs fabricated here in New Zealand.
All for were flat.
Sends to me, the running gear is stressed to the maximum because it is minimum spec to do the job.
This will all come back to haunt the manufacturer - they deserve bankruptcy
Thank you Miss Liz. Riverside is the worst. Thor might give them a run for their money.

Time for some class action lawsuits. These manufacturers know they are building junk and ripping off customers. Make them pay.
Good point
You can't they signed a contract says it goes to abratation and not lawsuit
Not having the butyl tape paper removed was inexcusable and frankly stupid. It shows you that employees arent properly trained, just put on the line to start building. Riverside needs to make this right. Terrible!
Yeah and I wonder how many other trailers were made exactly the same! 500?
They talk about a walk through inspection, but many of these problems wouldn't/couldn't be found without disassembling the unit to find the problems!
Riverside obviously depends on first time buyers not repeat buyers.
Thanks for the heads up. Riverside is off my list for a new RV FR sure.
I am so glad that you fight for these people with the RV problems. My family had a 2012 Forrest River 5th wheel and we had good luck with it.

Thank you Liz. I had no idea that a trailer company could or would build such a poor quality and unsafe camper.
Definitely avoiding this camper now I have to start my research again but thank you saving thousands of dollars. I feel for this couple.

I agree 100% - thanks for your comment!

I absolutely agree the company should reimburse for these issues p. There should be no limit onn factory issues
Their ego was more important than customer satisfaction
Thanks Liz. You're doing a fantastic job, advocating for duped RV owners. I have a 2014 Class C that I was thinking of replacing. After seeing the problems you've handled for so many people, I think I'm giving up on getting any kind of new RV.
