I'm not emailing them but you aren't alone I won't buy anything fartland offers and furthermore anyone I meet in life just like a trash talk camping world, I trash talk fartland as well and urge people to get a bus and just forget all the RV brands, they all suck.
I thought our next rig would be a cyclone. I’ll never buy a Heartland product after seeing this. Not because it had issues but because of how badly it’s been handled. Shame on Heartland and the dealers. Thank you for bringing these experiences to light.
Thanks for posting, we will never purchase an rv made by Heartland. The piece of crap they sold you was totally unacceptable, the way they treated you is worse.
It really shows what that Michigan Dealership amounts to when they won’t answer the phones from one of their own customers that just spent over $125,000 for absolute garbage.
Sue the seller for a full refund, and attorney's fees. If more people sued, these dealers would not sell trash. These sellers and manufacturers need to understand is that you are messing with people's lives. Hold them accountable.
I have a daughter in law school. I’m making her a list of names so she can give them to the lawyers she works with to try and get a class action lawsuit going for crap like this and the frame flex issues. I’m now adding this couple to the list. I’ve been cruising TikTok, Facebook, instagram, UA-cam, Reddit, etc. The list is so ridiculous I have to put it Ann in a spread sheet.
@@HOOLIGANUTV contact the states Attorney Generals Office consumer affair's branch in the state of purchase and file against the RV dealer. The Dealer cant afford to loose their business license by F'ing around with the AG's office!
What a criminal enterprise!!!! Lakeshore RV sucks, M60 sucks, and Heartland needs to buy the unit back! These are good hard working AMERICANS, who deserve better than any of these three business owners have done thus far. Sue the hell out of them!
Liz, I've watched all of your expose's of bad RV's and dealers. This is the first one that just made me livid. Fortunately, this young couple has a place to stay while they go through litigation. If they get a trial, by jury, they can't possibly lose the case. I hope they get triple the original value to teach all these shysters a lesson. How sad! Please keep us posted on the eventual outcome.
I looked a little into consumer rights. This may be a place to start. Consumer rights can not get their money back, but they can start an investigation into these unsavory practices of the manufacturers and rv dealers. All the cards are stacked against the consumer. Once the contracts are signed, we as the consumer give up our rights to sue. This is wrong, and it needs to be rectified.
It’s like this is a bloody joke to these RV companies….return and get every cent back because if you don’t they just keep laughing…..feel so bad for this young couple
I’m going to call for a boycott of Heartland if they don’t step up here. Friends of ours are considering a Heartland right now… sharing this video with them!
@@TrishBenedict Oh thank you for letting us know. I have no interest in towing a trailer but might want to use a toy hauler as more of a homebase because of the "back porch" area. It's really too bad because Thor once was a good product.
"Wingman Wisdom" has another story of a couple with a Heartland that burst into flames within 48hrs of purchase I believe. 2 part video. One covers the event and the family, the second covers the legal loop holes the family is now navigating.
59yrs old. Retired early (2008). Do typical overseas travel. Thinking of RV so looking things up for a Class C (I like small/just me). Now I realize at these prices ($90K+ to start) I can keeping taking overseas/US flight trips, but RAISE my budget up to $12k per trip/yr for a decade, live WELL in nice hotels, eat great food, and see history for the same money. The remaining 90K draws interest @ 6-10% (conservative) a yr bumps it almost back up to 100k again, so it's basically an unlimited vacation account until I die. An RV would have me not only spend a chunk of cash or ridiculous monthly payment, but require ongoing maint, insurance, unscrupulous workmanship/dealers, corporate takeover of parks, traffic, gas, driving fatigue, safety while sleeping.. the works. I've always used CCs to pay for big ticket items and bank the miles for free flights. No RVs for me ever unless this industry comes to it's senses (prices on vehicles is my starting point), I'll treat all this as I do timeshares.. money you keep pumping in and never get ahead of/back.
My heart goes out to you both and I wish you luck. I cannot imagine spending $126k on a RV only to have issues with it and the company I bought it from would not give me my money back!
@@blujeans9462 yeah, the thing I like her for is that she is actually saving lives, most RVs made after 20005, especially the ones during the pandemic can be rolling coffins, for several different reasons
@@Curtis-lh9eg So we’re already past the year 20005? Haha you must have been the class 🤡, and you weren’t listening when they taught how the calendar is numbered. 💥😎
Every single person that does not buy from Heartland RV should let them know this video is the reason. This is absolutely unfathomable! How can you treat people like this? I guarantee if that salesman had to pay out $130,000 from his pocket he would be doing a little more to help these people. My heart breaks for them- this is beyond ridiculous.
We bought a new 2011 Cyclone Toy Hauler. We took it back and had over 70 things that needed to be fixed. Our dealer wasted so much time and gave us such grief that we put decals on the side and back that said "Don't buy from here" with a big red arrow pointing to the dealerships name. They had our trailer for so long that the warranty ran out with half the fixes not done. They basically told us to take a flying leap after that. Thank goodness my husband can fix anything because he ended up doing all the remaining repairs. Pretty darn sad that things have only gotten worse since 2011!
Oh my goodness!! We have a model 3010 (considered 2011) Cylone-35 ft 5ver, that we still so very much love and use. And it was less than 1/2 of what this young couple paid. We try to do our own repairs as well. We left it up to a professional tech to upgrade our rig with disc brakes, whole leaf spring set, including equalizers. It came with a onan generator, that works very well. Been to Sturges 4 times traveling across the country. We use it several times in a year. We even added a 2 foot garage extension, so we could fit our new Can-am in. We took out the bunks, and spare tire. We went out of our way to precisely make sure we were under the 2,500 limit of the garage, and under the GVWR limit. The best upgrades are the disc brakes, pulling it with a 3500 RAM dually truck, G rated tires, and always carrying two RV tires. Yes, we have fixed and replaced worn items, after 12 yrs, new frig, updated the upholstery, changed out the water pump because it was 12 year old, but it was still working. The insurance paid for a new roof because of tree branches resulted in minor scratches . There is always something to fix or upgrade, but nothing ever comes close to what this young couple, or you have faced. So true, once they have their money, you are nothing to the dealer. We will never sell our Cyclone, even though we look at new ones. RVs now are just to heavy with all those inferior parts. I can see past the pretty bling and how they have cheapened the RV, especially using inferior slide out components for the heaviest of slides.
I'm a otr driver, from rv shows I was told 300 miles a year was ind standard. I've driven 120,000 a year. Our roads , bridges, and overall transportation networks are in trouble. I'm replacing suspension parts that lasted 4 years down to 1 year. Parts aren't standardized now. Less competition, less quality. Sometimes, I have trouble getting OEM with no aftermarket availability. If I were to get a rv, I would build my own. Definitely with tall air ride bags. Which is like a flying cloud over abismal roads. There's a lot of room for improvement. When shopping for a rv, let the seller manufacturer know your cost of ownership is a decisionmaker. buy, build for reliability, not just minimum specifications. Depends on the harsh miles that the USA roads have degraded to , that you want to drive during your ownership .
As long RVIA and RVDA has their hand in controlling congress it's never going to happen. Too many pockets being lined in congress to keep them looking the other way.
IT'S ALL GREED, RV MANUFACTURERS SUCK TOTALLY. NO CARE ABOUT THE BUYERS. THEY KNOW THAT THERE ARE NO HELP OUT THERE FOR THE BUYERS WITH CRAP BUILT RVS. PEOPLE STOP BUYING RVS. THATS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS MADNESS. PUT THE BAD ONE'S OUT OF BUSINESS.
Steve Lehto put out a video on trying to sue RV dealers and manufacturers, i think it was a couple weeks back. Steve is a Michigan based attorney with years of experience dealing with lemon law issues. When you're done watching, and you see how limited your options are, you’ll want to cry. Good luck!
Horrific - I hope Heartland (yes, Heartland, the manufacturer) does the ethical thing and takes back the 5th Wheel. This RV was a lemon when it was delivered from Heartland to the dealer. And yes, these people should get a lawyer and go after Heartland and be compensated beyond what they paid initially.
I'll bet they will not do anything until they're forced to, that is, through the courts!!! With their(heartland) attitude and lack of making things right, they need to be hit in the pocketbook!!!
Omg...we are looking at this exact toy hauler by heartland...after this video their is NO WAY we are buying sub par garbage...thank you so much for you posting this video, and i definitely hope these two get justic for this lousy built rv, hopefully they will be made whole ...good luck and thank you
Hi Susan! Whew, that was a close call for you!!! Thanks for posting your comment, and for watching. Feel free to share this video, the more eyeballs the better to make Heartland sit up and take notice.
Thank you and this is why we are sharing our story. We thought this was the best make and model out there. They had amazing reviews but unfortunately this has been the biggest nightmare.
I hope you and all that were considering a purchase contact Heartland and express your feelings directly to them, if they know they are losing multiple sales they may reconsider buying back this POS
General advice: Contact the Attorney General for your state; keep dates of. Contact with the manufacturer and with the dealership. your tax dollars fund the Attorney General. If all else fails, Contact one of the Television Stations and share your experiences with them. Most news media stations have a consumer service such as '"on your behalf." The news media is a very valuable resource that can investigate on your behalf. Just the sheer volume of viewers you would reach is monumental. Good Luck and Best wishes for a successful outcome.
Back in 2000 we purchased an RV, I won’t get into all the long boring details, but the story wasn’t far from yours, we took it back to the dealer and refused to pick it up told them to keep it! They wanted to know about the loan, I told him I don’t know what to tell you! We had a intent of keeping up with the loan, but we weren’t about to tell them all they saw, was an RV sitting on their lot every single day and worrying about the loan, going into default because that looks terrible on them since they financed it and have a rapport with the bank, they probably figured we were going to tell the bank everything. After about four months, they called us up and told us to come in and pick out another RV, and we would be able to switch out the full amount for the first RV towards the second! If that hadn’t worked, we had every intention to drive it back to the manufacturer and park it across the gates to their facility, and just leave it there. Sometimes you have to take drastic measures to get anyone to hear you, and shame on you for the selling dealership to ignore your calls! Shame on them! Good luck, and I look forward to seeing the video update where you get your results, the results you’re looking for.
This is great information, Liz! You and “Wingman Wisdom” are helping people learn what to do before purchasing an RVs. These dealers need to reimburse these kids, lose their business and be put in jail! I’m so angry for this young couple, I can’t talk!!
@@LizAmazing I've seen several post covid RV stories out there that are hard to watch. This one broke my heart. My wife and I are praying for this young couple to find a resolution and peace. Heartland should trip all over themselves trying to make things right for this couple. At the very minimum, buy their unit back. OR, provide a unit comparable in size and price and give it to them.
@@LizAmazinggood luck getting them to change, we as consumers need to stand up and stop buying this junk, make them hurt, money talks and the bull…. will walk

Hopefully someone will have the decency, heart and proper business sense to rectify this disaster.Hope all horrible dealers have asbestos suits. Going to need it where they are going.Keep on fighting ,Liz.👍
Thanks, Charlene. Yes, this was an especially tough one. I had the Kleenex handy while I was editing this. Whew! I hope Heartland comes through for them. Thanks for being here, Charlene!!!
That is an absolutely sad story. They should be ashamed of themselves for selling such a lemon and not standing behind their own product. I hope they make it right for those poor folks. Keep up the great work Liz and maybe we the people can change the bad Rv manufacturers work ethics and hold them accountable. Stay safe and happy travels.
Sickening , pitiful sad story . I know I will never buy another new RV . Keeping my 2016 Momentum that has been ok I hope all works out good for you two …..
Liz, listening to this makes me want to cry. I've had my run arounds with dealer/mfg about our slide, but this is just disgraceful. And they got hosed even worse because they're young people. I love what you're doing Liz!
Thanks so much for your support, MrsMac! I had the Kleenex box on my desk while I edited this video. Sure hoping this video spurs the powers to be to help this couple. Stay tuned.
Liz, at this point, you probably feel the only way they will make things right is through the courts(plural meaning this poor family and others going through the b.s., correct? Also, has there ever been any cases you know of that have been successful, one compensated for their troubles? You're still AWESOME Liz!!!
I have walked through brand new Heartland models and was amazed at how crappy the quality of their product is. I know to many people who own Heartland Cyclones or Big Country and they absolutely hate their RV's and would never buy one from them again.
Thanks for sharing this video. My wife and I were planning on buying the Landmark in April. But after seeing the quality and lack of customer service. I absolutely will not buying any of their products, I'll be sure to spread the word. Thanks again for sharing, you've potentially saved me money and heart aches.
Horrible. Never, Never purchase a new Heartland RV! This is how you will be treated by this dealer and this manufacturer. We need laws to protect the RV consumers from manufacturers like this one who refuse to do whats right. Horrible business practices. Thank you for the information Liz! People can make their own judgements based on the info & dealer/manufacturer response provided.
As a person who has had to retain a lawyer... Rule #1: NEVER threaten to 'get a lawyer,' they hear that 20 times a day. Rule #2: Stop talking, retain a lawyer, have the lawyer contact them. Rule #3: If ever in doubt, refer back to rule #1.
Im just speechless. How are these RV companies in business getting away with this sort of stuff? The level of negligence is astounding. These people need to be behind bars for endangering public health & safety.
They need to be sued and give you a full refund!!! At that point I would not even want another faulty unit from them. Don’t give up until they pay you back. Best of luck with that horrible situation and thank you so much for sharing your experience.
I believe Heartland is also the maker of the 2 day old unit that burned to the ground on the shoulder of the highway that the RV wingman channel had a story about a couple weeks back.
Unfortunately their experience is an extreme version of RV sales failures- it's now strongly suggested to have any RV you purchase inspected, new or used. I spent $1000 on an extended inspection of a used RV, based on the results I knew I had to walk away from the sale; later found same model in exceptional condition and had learned what to look for. $1000 is a lot of money for my budget- but saved thousands more
The fact that this couple can recount the story without getting emotional is one of the the reasons they have had no joy in this matter. I've had similar issues with motorcycle purchase so I made my feelings known about the dealership online. I heard recently things aren't going so well for them of late. Scaling down their business. That being said... This is outrageous. Do the legal thing with your lawyer. Use social media to help when the time is right. You would think that reputation is the most important thing to dealerships and manufactures. In fact, it could hwve easily worked their advantage har they handled things responsibly. Please provide us an update soonest. Can't wait to hear how things have progressed.. Or not. Sincerely wishing you guys the best. Nobody deserves this... Including your dog. 😢
Wow I would have driven to the plant and refused to leave at some point the amount of patience they had is amazing , especially when they were threatened over saying they would get a lawyer. I would love to see an attorney take the case pro bono and sue the hell out of heartland over this one.
Hi...hope things turn around for you soon. After watching this video i think there would be quite a few lawyers take your case on a contingency. Like mentioned above, Steve Lehto would probably be a good attorney if he is not too busy...(he has a youtube channel). Me and my wife was going to get a new RV a year ago and but after seeing Liz's videos we decided to wait until there is better quality from the manufactures and laws in place to protect the consumer......looks like we will have to keep using our tent tho....lol. Sure wish you the best of luck and if you ever get to the Hatfield McCoy trails here in southern WV I hope we get to see your racing UTV and say howdy.
One reason I am not planning to buy any RV’s . All manufacturers are not good. For the price you are better buying a cargo van and convert it with competent people. It more than likely cost less or about the say and you can design it how you like it.
There are some good mfrs, like Oliver. And I will be profiling others. Here's the update about Colt and Jamie, thanks for watching: ua-cam.com/video/MtnjxoljNa4/v-deo.html
This makes me sick, I can't believe how reasonable these poor owners are. Fingers crossed that they get satisfaction in the end. As a toy hauler owner myself, I sometimes marvel at the corner cutting that goes on with these units in general, but from what I surmise, in the last ten years it is also too light of frames they are building on; with crap material.
Wow, how sad! Heartland in the early 2000's to 2012 was one of the best RV, manufacturers, then something happened to their quality and it seems to be getting even worse. Back in 2008, we purchased a Heartland Sundance 5th wheel and not once did we ever have an issue that required us taking it back to dealer in over 8 years of ownership. Our next 5th wheel, was a "so-called high end" popular Keystone 5th wheel, for the first 3 years, it spent almost as much time in service as it did in our driveway. Sadly, the whole RV industry has gone backwards in quality, yet costs have tripled in less than 10 years.
To all of the people that seem to be saying that an inspection prior to purchase is the solution to all problems, you couldn't be more wrong. At least half of the stuff that they're talking about wouldn't have been found, and YOU DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA IF YOU'RE HIRING A GOOD INSPECTOR. I can't believe that some of you are blaming the buyers! Both the dealer and the manufacturer are scum - THEY ALONE are to blame. They need to pay. Get an attorney as fast as you can and get started. If you financed your purchase, in some states you may have the right to stop paying on an RV without damaging your credit while you work this out.. ask your attorney. Time is NOT your friend. The sooner that you get your judgment, the more likely you are to attaching the dealer's assets. That dealer could be out of business if you wait too long, and if they go bankrupt, you'll have a heck of a time getting anything. Best wishes and GET STARTED!
Those blaming the buyers are probably "payed for" bots. Pay them no never mind. They are probably clueless in the first place and couldn't pick an RV out of a line up in the second.
Those poor people! Suing dealerships and RV manufacturers might be a very lucrative specialty for an attorney’s practice! Last weeks video was the only positive dealership experience you posted, Liz. This is more than sad; these people should be able to claim damages. Thanks for sharing, Liz. 🙋🏻♀️🍀🍀🍀
Here's another good dealer video, sorry you missed it! ua-cam.com/video/lThzzjh08h8/v-deo.html And I'm definitely on a mission to get the RV industry to wake up and do better!!! Thanks for being here, Theresa!
What an awful experience to go through. We all know that there can and will be issues with anything. But it's how you're taken care of AFTER the sale which truly defines a companys credibility and commitment to their customers. Thank you for saving myself and the countless others from getting robbed by this manufacturer and rv dealer. Safe travels.
Unacceptable from the manufacturer, the dealer and repairer. Shame on all of them. I watch many RV videos as I plan on buying a used one in the next 30-45 days and I’m learning what to do and what NOT to do when purchasing, negotiating, etc. I am so sorry for this family and hope they can be made whole again.
Liz, your work in exposing these dealership and manufactures is crucial. Please keep doing it, you are making a difference. This couple no doubt needs to seek out attorneys to move this case to get the right outcome. American RV manufactures and dealerships have shamed America for too long and they need to be held accountable. It is time for the U.S. Congress to get involve and draft up new legislation on the RV Industry.
I must say I am not surprised to hear of the issues this couple is having with their cyclone. Heartland has had a bad reputation for quit some time now. Even making it to the top five of many "do not buy from this manufacturer" lists. It is heartbreaking to learn how badly this young couple are being treated by the dealer and the manufacturer. I would rent a billboard next to the dealership and post pictures of the damage on their unit, and explain that this is what you get when dealing with this dealership and heartland.
Liz, you are truly Amazing! Don’t go dark! Thank you so much for sharing this video. I think it shines a bright light on the problems in the industry. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with asking someone to speak on record. Stick to your morals Liz and thank you so much for putting you and your safety out there for the betterment of the RV community.
They need to contact Ron Burdge Rv Lemon Law firm in Dayton, Ohio! His law firm will take care of them. He took care of me with the same kind of treatment I had with a Keystone Fusion. They get results and their fees were paid by Keystone.
That’s so disappointing from the dealership(s) and manufacturer! NRVIA Certified Pre-purchase inspections are a must. People, don’t get in a hurry. The dealerships work for you! Thanks Liz!!
After seeing so many of your videos, I have concluded this: 1 - I’ve made my own rig and DAMN I did a good job as rookie; nothing like this has gone wrong for me. 2 - I should get into mobile RV repair work, I could make a good living with never ending jobs! I’ve built several rigs now, and all I’d have to do is get some factory tours and see how these things are put together, and I’d have a good idea how to fix this stuff! Oh and also get a work permit to work in the USA..
I looked at those a couple years ago and the ones we saw were complete garbage top to bottom, everyone needs someone to help them shop for their rv if they arent familiar. What a shame😢
What a beautiful RV. I am so sorry for your experience. We went through it ourselves, so I, like so many others, can relate to your pain, aggravation, and disappointment. Our 2021 travel trailer was by Cruiser, under Heartland. It's pitiful. The total disregard for quality is shameful in this industry. You guys handled this with tact. The fact no one is stepping up makes me crazy! Good luck, guys!❤
Holy moly. Liz, this is the worst experience I have heard about. A lawsuit is their only hope. Yes, there needs to be a Magnum & Moss (lemon) law for RVs. This might be the predicate case. I feel for this young couple. Appreciate you bringing this to light.
Liz, thanks for shedding light on all these issues. I wish more people knew there are certified inspectors that will find these issues before they hand over their hard earned money ! Please use your influence and platform to push inspections as well. Inspectors can't save people from these headaches and nightmares if they dont call !
This is the most horrifying RV right experience I’ve ever seen!! I was close to a panic attack just watching. Please please please keep us updated about the outcome of their possible lawsuit. Unbelievable.
Love your channel keep up the good fight. I have a basic RV question. Why don’t they create 2 lines of RV’s one for the full time RVers built better stronger frames ect. And the other for weekend warriors. I don’t think that most rv’s are made for full time living.
So glad to have a 2007 5th wheel, rock solid and simple without all the high tech control panels. Best part, only cost 10K because the people sold it in the middle of their remodel job which I had to finish (1k into that). If it falls apart tomorrow I'll find another oldie but goodie. Spending crazy amounts of money on the trash being built today is nuts to me.
So sorry for this young family. Liz your doing some good out there. Keep it up. My wife and I have a 9 year old Jayco 145RB. It has been great. We saved to buy a larger one but are afraid of getting what these young people have. We have decided to wait for another season and get by with our camper that we know has zero problems
Yes. Keep your older better built Jayco. I have a Jayco story coming up this Friday. Thanks for watching and stay tuned also for an update with this young family.
Thank you for posting this. This model was at the top of our list. I live in the Northwest, and Lakeshore was the dealership we saw the most advertising from (I was even planning a trip to their dealership). However, after watching this, it's a hard NO for both this manufacturer and dealership!!!
I hope the dealer wakes up and does better, using this as a learning experience. Same thing with the manufacturer. Thanks for watching and see you in my brand new video: ua-cam.com/video/MtnjxoljNa4/v-deo.html
When I heard the name Heartland my ears perked up! We bought a 2019 Heartland Sundance (although not a Cyclone) 22 ft long back early 2020 and so far, so good. No major issues but I'm guessing starting in 2020 that's where the major issues started because of demand and lack of quality. Such a shame to see RV industry cutting corners in many different models. After reading about all these issues our current camper will have to do for the rest of our life.
I’ve watched a lot of videos of bad RVs but this is far and away the worst thing I’ve ever seen. What a piece of crap. These people have been through hell and Heartland should take the rig back. Heartland doesn’t seem to have any quality control in their factory because the list of issues are endless. I feel so bad for these people but this is why you need an inspection even on a brand new RV. The roof issue alone would have made me pass this by. The dealership is also responsible because they should’ve done their own due diligence on the unit before sale.
I agree Cecilia. Inspections on new RVs didn't used to be a thing, but now they are! But the responsibility for this mess does indeed lie at the feet of both the dealer and the factory. Thanks for watching
I bought a brand new keystone hideout camper trailer and was unaware of the Lippert frame issue that plagues most new RVs. Well, the wheel fell off. Actually, the whole axle!!!! The wheel (attached to axle) is at rear of the wheel well. WOW!!!! I’m glad I noticed before this killed others my family or myself. It’s stranded in my front yard, I will NOT hook my vehicle up that thing, hell no! They need to make it right and so far have not. This is a huge huge issue. Please help us resolve this by making these companies do the right thing. This could kill people.
That’s definitely a lemon and I am glad I got out of my travel trailer. I hated that thing. I ended up getting a converted Bus and it’s way better and I’m currently building out my van.
As a Powersports Salesman it makes me so mad when I hear about salesman dodging calls. So stupid. Immediately rip the bandaid off and get to work. You are the only one who can advocate for your customer. Boo Hoo you might loose a commission on a single sale, but can help these young people out.
Hello Liz and you two, I hope you see this. At timecide 6:52 under your slide carpet mat, there seems ro be two or three loose screws rolling around in your slide tray. These can fall out and drag on your flooring and cause horrible damage. I have a heartland and found many of these same issues on the first shakedown.
Good looking out thank you. We have actually picked up several screws and nails like this through out the camper but some house missed these. The flooring is currently froze to the ground due to every slide leaking but as soon as I can get under it I’ll be sure to pull them out!
Lesson: Don't let ANY situation cause you to shorten a multii hour inspection by a certified tech. You would have walked away from this "deal". Having worked for rv dealers he was over confident.
We bought a new camper from Lakeshore RV in July of this year (2024) Several small issues, they are very difficult to deal with. We hired our own camper guy to repair the issues even though we bought the extended warranty
thank you Liz, for doing this for all of us. I believe that because of what you are doing, there will one day be changes in the RV industry. Thank you!
As a business owner selling products, if i messed up and it was not what the customer ordered, I would make it right. The sale of the product will not compare to the lost sales for years to come from word of mouth. however, if you make it right, you will have customers for life.
I just can't see or understand where a young couple gets the money to Buy a Trailer and Truck and Toys like this and Travel like they do, I see it every time the wife and I travel with our RV. We are retired but we could never have Traveled and RVed like the younger people do now when we were younger. The last trip we took we covered 55 hundred miles and we agreed that we were going to sell the Trailer and Truck, we just don't want to fight the busy roads and crazy people any more. I feel for this couple and I also have some stories I could tell you, the last nightmare was a Grand Design Imagine TT, Grand Design did us about the same way as this couple has been treated. Peace and God Bless y'all.
After seeing this, I will never buy anything from Heartland Inc… especially a cyclone! It would seem there is nothing to debate… can’t believe Heartland doesn’t do the right thing. The court of public opinion will make a verdict and it won’t be good….
What a nightmare. I am so grateful to have found this channel. I was months away from making what could have been the biggest financial mistake of my life. Liz is amazing!
I am so sorry Colt and Jamie. You need a good lawyer at this point and to move forward. Thanks for sharing all of this with all of us. The best to you.
This is beyond what I could ever imagine. I hope the manufacturer is willing to take the unit back and compensate them for all the losses. Thanks for sharing your story.
Hello Colt & Jamie I am sorry what you young folks have to go thru, after me and my 24 year old son watch your video we have a change of mind & heart in purchasing any motorhome or fifth wheeler for traveling around the country. We do wish you both the best of luck in the future 🙏
I've owned RVs that were built in the 60s 70s and 80s and I kid you not the biggest problem I had with all of them is that they were actually built to well and I got bored, the guy I sold my last 70s dodge motor home to actually drove it like a car after I couldn't kill it and it was still running great when he died, so they can be made good, nowadays they just choose to make them bad
It seems they were solid thru the late 1970s. My family used to rent RVs regularly and it was the 1980s when the materials used seemed to remarkably decline in quality. The complete lack of quality control seems more recent tho, like maybe the past 15 years or so.

Thanks for doing that and for sharing this, Michel! Sure appreciate your support!!
Definitely not
absolute trash
That’s my mind made up. Will not be investing in an any Rv from Heartland. So happy I’ve seen this video. Thank you 🙏
I'm not emailing them but you aren't alone I won't buy anything fartland offers and furthermore anyone I meet in life just like a trash talk camping world, I trash talk fartland as well and urge people to get a bus and just forget all the RV brands, they all suck.
I thought our next rig would be a cyclone. I’ll never buy a Heartland product after seeing this. Not because it had issues but because of how badly it’s been handled. Shame on Heartland and the dealers. Thank you for bringing these experiences to light.
Thanks for posting, we will never purchase an
rv made by Heartland.
The piece of crap they sold you was totally unacceptable, the way they treated you is worse.
You should never purchase anything RV made by any company, with the exception of maybe Airstream!
@@lcaceci43 Airstream was acquired by Thor in 1980. So, a no buy for me!
It really shows what that Michigan Dealership amounts to when they won’t answer the phones from one of their own customers that just spent over $125,000 for absolute garbage.
It’s so upsetting that’s why we’re sick of it.
I totally one hundred percent agree with you.
@@mommasonthemove9144 smart idea. I thought we had problems with this couple has really been through the mill
It sadly does not surprise me, if you see videos were they made them, its employed mostly by teenagers, who simply don't know anything
Thank you
I looked a little into consumer rights.
Tragic story 🇨🇦
I’m going to call for a boycott of Heartland if they don’t step up here. Friends of ours are considering a Heartland right now… sharing this video with them!
It's a Thor product. The boycott needs to be on Thor. They seem to be universally poor build quality.
They definitely need to do better. They will not stay in business if this keeps up. Thank you for watching and for your support.
The boycott needs to be in the RV Industry manufacturers as a whole because quality control is insufficient across the board
This was heartbreaking to watch. I hope they find justice, because they were ripped off.
Praying for it everyday!

ROGER THAT!!! - same here
Thats just common sense, which is not so common.

My heart goes out to you both and I wish you luck. I cannot imagine spending $126k on a RV only to have issues with it and the company I bought it from would not give me my money back!
Unbelievable!! Thank you all for reporting on this catastrophe.

New toy haulers are all bad!!!! But an old one and make it yours!!!
We need a nationwide Lemon Law for the RV industry to protect consumers!
Yep, they vary by state, but are not strong enough. Thanks for watching!
Endless RVing recently posted content on how the RV industry opted out of being subject to uniform standards
Sadly Thor corporate legal will play the delay game and hope they will eventually settle for pennies on the dollar.
They won’t make any money if they Lee doing the ‘right thing.’
Heartland is heartless😢
After watching your videos, I will avoid any RV made by Thor.

I can’t think of another industry with a worse reputation than RVs, this show you what happens when companies are not regulated! 😡
You're exactly right. The number of loop holes available to manufacturers in the industry is absurd.
OMG, they are more patient than I would ever have been. Good luck to them!
Yes. I hope Heartland does right by them. Thanks for watching.

I have walked through brand new Heartland models and was amazed at how crappy the quality of their product is. I know to many people who own Heartland Cyclones or Big Country and they absolutely hate their RV's and would never buy one from them again.
I don't blame you. Unbelievable all the issues Colt and Jamie had! Thanks for watching.

Thank you I agree we’re fed up
Thanks, Kira! I hope Jamie and Colt continue to read all the comments. Lots of good tips as well as support.
I believe Heartland is also the maker of the 2 day old unit that burned to the ground on the shoulder of the highway that the RV wingman channel had a story about a couple weeks back.
Oh no. I hope Heartland sees these videos as a wakeup call. Thanks for watching

Yep. Not a good situation. I hope things improve all around soon. Thanks for watching and stay tuned.
This is exactly why you never buy an RV without having it inspected by an NRVIA Certified Inspector.
It was NEW! who sells crap like this? The RV industry needs a major reset.
The “inspector” can’t see a LOT of the garbage work that’s hidden behind things.
It’s ALL junk!

I agree
That’s really terrible, very poorly built, and the folks require compensation and the trailer needs to be destroyed!
Unbelievable these,people exist!
You are so right. This video shows the importance of buying through a dealer who has your back. Thanks for watching
Yep. I hope Heartland does right by them. Thanks for watching.
Thanks so very much for your support! I really appreciate you cheering me on. Stay tuned for an update.
So sorry for your headache. It's not going to get better until you get rid of your rv. Sorry for the bad news
That’s so disappointing from the dealership(s) and manufacturer! NRVIA Certified Pre-purchase inspections are a must.
People, don’t get in a hurry. The dealerships work for you!
Thanks Liz!!
After seeing so many of your videos, I have concluded this:
1 - I’ve made my own rig and DAMN I did a good job as rookie; nothing like this has gone wrong for me.
Thank you for saving me from buying one of those campers. I'm gonna go to Jaco. I've had better luck with them
What a beautiful RV.
Thank you for sharing this makes a big difference. I will never purchase anything from this company or the maker you save me a lot of grief.
Thank you as soon as I get answers we will update everyone
Thanks Michelle. I just posted an update yesterday, fingers crossed it all works out for them: ua-cam.com/video/MtnjxoljNa4/v-deo.html
@@LizAmazing I saw that update. It meant a lot to see some progress in their resolution. Thanks for all you do! It really matters!
Love your channel keep up the good fight. I have a basic RV question. Why don’t they create 2 lines of RV’s one for the full time RVers built better stronger frames ect. And the other for weekend warriors. I don’t think that most rv’s are made for full time living.
They need to make this right for this family. Good luck to you all!
They sure do! Feel free to share this, Mike. We need to put the pressure on Heartland to make this right! And thanks for watching!
I just wanna give that family a big hug and tell them how sorry I am that their family had to go through all this!!
First destination after leaving the RV lot is to Lowes to buy tarps, duct tape, silicone caulking, heavy duty staple gun, and a rabbit's foot.😂
Pretty much lol 😂
Yep. Frustrating for sure! Thanks for watching.
It’s ridiculous how much the cost is for these units , it has to change
It sure does. That's why I'm making these videos. Thanks for watching, Diana.
Who cares about the cost! They were willing to pay the cost. But they expected a quality product. I will pay for quality but this is deplorable 😢
Well I am certainly over my RV DREAM! This is a NIGHTMARE 😢
This couple should have taken the RV back after the first night!
Watching all these we’ll be keeping our 1990 ultra star class A diesel and rebuilding it
As a Powersports Salesman it makes me so mad when I hear about salesman dodging calls.
Wow, good eye! Thanks for your comment.
Yes. This video definitely illustrates the perils of skipping an inspection. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for the update.
Exactly this! Wish the RV industry were customer focused. I hope this series brings some changes. Thanks for watching.
They said they bought a house at a good time and made money on the sale so they could buy an RV, also it might be financed.
I can tell you how us young people do it 😂 I'm 36 my wife is 31 we have 2 kids she's a RN and I'm a union crane operator we bring home $300,000 a year
Wow... That's terrible!😮 No 5th wheels... And I DAMN SURE won't buy a Cyclone... I'm so sorry y'all have had to go this?! Keep us posted...
I sure will. I did a short update here: ua-cam.com/video/MtnjxoljNa4/v-deo.html
Liz thanks for continuing to do these videos. This is just heartbreaking!!!!!!!!!!
That's so terrible man I can't believe how bad these units are built.
After seeing this, I will never buy anything from Heartland Inc… especially a cyclone! It would seem there is nothing to debate… can’t believe Heartland doesn’t do the right thing. The court of public opinion will make a verdict and it won’t be good….
This is industry wide. It’s a epidemic in the rv industry
What a nightmare. I am so grateful to have found this channel. I was months away from making what could have been the biggest financial mistake of my life. Liz is amazing!
Thanks so much! Here's the update, just posted, and thanks for watching: ua-cam.com/video/fbCiYSu2H3M/v-deo.html
I am so sorry Colt and Jamie. You need a good lawyer at this point and to move forward. Thanks for sharing all of this with all of us. The best to you.
Thanks Charlene. The RV industry definitely needs to wake up and do better!
I agree. We are definitely looking into hiring one and praying we get the result we want.
This is beyond what I could ever imagine. I hope the manufacturer is willing to take the unit back and compensate them for all the losses. Thanks for sharing your story.
Thanks for watching, Steve. Feel free to share. Heartland needs to do better for sure!!!
As a general rule, buying extended warranties is not a wise decision for anything.
Sounds as if buying an RV or camper is not a wise decision as well
Definitely not a good time to buy new. But buying a well-built used. RV is a good option. Definitely get an inspection. Thanks for watching.
