Got contact dermatitis when using retinol due to the ingridients "high % phenoxyethanol" so switch to tretinoin and my skin love it... it takes 3 years trial & error to know that i dont have any issue with retinoids but phenoxyethanol is the culprit 😅

Can you do a podcast episode comparing retinoid and retinol esters in terms of enzymatic conversion, potency, efficacy and irritation? It is very confusing for consumers.

oof it's definitely a loaded topic. We'll attempt to tackle this later in the year when we do our next round of retinoid content! Sadly, the dat isn't exactly complete or directly comparable for all the different retinoids on the market...

How does Granactive retinoid (HPR) compare to retinol and retinal in terms of efficacy and irritation?

granactive has pretty limited data available. We'd say definitely less irritating (some shedding and limited redness if you're prone to retinoid irritation). Efficacy is.... hard to say. It definitely has retinoid activities, but hard to say how comparable it is to the other big players.

i have tried different types of retinol and it doesn't work for me. tried also tretinoin and also doesn't work. both i suffer redness even on sandwich method. i have tried adapelene at .01 and although it works, adapalene .03 works very well without the redness.
