      I'm watching this for the second time! I'm kind of addicted to this adorable couple. Don't watch their videos every evening, but when I want to relax and be amused, entertained and fascinated all at the same time, they really make me happy.

    It turns off because you're pushing the draw back in fully and closing it. It's a grill you're supposed to leave it open a fraction to allow the heat to escape. If you didn't it would over heat and cause a fire, that's why it has the safety feature. :D Also it's pronounce Orange - Jean - a :D It cracked me up when you said jina hehe...

    Good luck with your new home in Tokyo! Omg that window scared the poop out of me. I love how the toilet paper roll works, kind of jealous. The apartment looks so much bigger and brighter, congrats! Have fun with your "Star Mode Mood Settings!" Beekee (Biki) is the cutest! I love following your guys through your life adventures. I had no idea you have to higher a realtor to find an apartment, I'm so used to doing everything on my own. Key money sounds silly, you think letting you live there is good enough. Bomb Insurance? Wow! A key/lock replacement free without having any of those, that's unfair! Having a Guarantor Company is a good idea, especially one that speaks English. Have a great time in Tokyo, I wish to you meet you both the next time I visit Japan. Thanks for sharing!

    cold air goes down and hot air goes up. the top floor there is a window ( if I saw it right) just leave it open, the hot air will go out. if not, open a small window on the down floor so cold air can get in and push the hot air up and out. ( don't do it to long, you can get ill of the breeze)

      Kyde and Eric Ah, i understand, well, i sent a message, to arrange a meet up around that date, it's my first time going to Japan, but it was a really early request,around June? i think, i guess there must be a record on FB :)

    WEIRD AL! YES! I UNDERSTOOD IT! You guys are amazing. Also, I'm not sure if anyone has told you, but that grill on your stove is a fish grill! (3,000 people probably have lmao) You add enough water to cover the bottom and place your fish on the grill and it steams it! By the time the water is gone the fish is done!

      MsBlooberri Haha, yea, we make fish sometimes now! There is a big picture of a fish on the grill, we are just dumb sometimes. -Eric

    This was such an informative and interesting video. Love the new apartment. That toilet alone is worth the money 😊 Kyde looks so cute in that sundress and they both seem so happy. Can't wait for the next video. Also, I wonder if they allow pets in the apartment and if you have to pay a pet fee.

    • @kydeanderic
      @kydeanderic  10 років тому

      Tricia Warren If you want a pet it depends, but there is almost always a extra fee. One place said it was an additional one time payment of TWO MONTHS rent, non-refundable. Crazy. -Eric

    This was a really great video and very helpful, in a few years I really want to move to Tokyo and the ending helped me figure out things a lot. The only thing I am worrying about now is being able to adjust to yen from us dollars, but i'll eventually get it.

    Hi. From the future here. Just doing some quick exchange rate math, rent + maintenance fee in 2014 would have been around $1,070USD a month, but today it would be around $850USD a month. That is wild. Anyway, thanks for all the info. Planning a month long Tokyo stay, your channel has been a solid resource.

    thank you so much for this. i really love your videos. the burma series was incredible. the whole bike thing was really fascinating. btw: your apartment is so nice. i was really bracing myself for the ridiculous cost of your rent only to discover that is it nearly half of what we're paying for our 1-bed flat in central london. it hurts so bad. i don't know why or how we do it. even a room in a shared house these days is around £200 a week. btw know of any jobs in rural pennsylvania?! i think it's time to move out!

    Most Japanese don't own a toaster, they primarily use the grill to make toast and fish. Also, the cover on the grill (between the two burners) must be removed when the grill is in use. The manufacturers also say to fill the bottom of the grill with water when grilling fish or meat to cut down on smoke and burnt bits, maybe that would decrease the chance the grill turns itself off due to overheating. Hope that helps.

      There so totally is! Wow, you still haven't done that, lol?! We changed the address for all our important stuff before we moved. We also subscribed to a service that redirects our post from the old house for 3 months so we can sortout the unimportant stuff we missed. It's even worse moving to a bare bones house where you have to lay down carpets and whatnot! ¬_¬ (thanks for your reply Eric!)
